Majin Moire had once again taken to wander about in the wilderness, taking the opportunity to explore the planet herself after meeting the likes of Flare and Zaks. Returning back to the bamboo forest, the majin desired to look upon the Earth's natural beauty before she gets her fix of social interaction with the people inside of the next city. Perhaps she could contact Flare and meet up with her somewhere, and maybe she could teach the majin a thing or two about how the city runs. That sort of thing could very well be just what she needs in order to jog her memory, as it seems that conversation has lead to more and more of them being unlocked to her. Most of it was still far too faded away, but she'll get there eventually.
At least, she would under most circumstances, until she heard a sudden rustling amidst the bamboo, the majin immediately glaring at their location, lightning sparking between her finger tips and at the ready for whoever would show up. What she hadn't anticipated, however, would be the sudden crack at the back of her head, dazing her from the sudden hit before someone runs forward from the bushes. She spins around to see who had smacked her in the back of the head, only for her hands to be cuffed. She raises her hands up to fire lightning at her attacker, but the lightning has now since fizzled. In her shock, Moire is cracked in the back of the head a second time, this time by a second assailant, knocking her down onto the ground completely unconscious.
...
Moire didn't know how long it had been since she's been out, but she does know that she's no longer inside of the bamboo forest, the floor instead being replaced with cold, hardened metal. The majin looks up from her spot and looks about, noticing the metal bars that trap her inside. Her gaze switches to what was outside, noting the many other strewn about cages, each of which trapped an additional victim. The woman slowly rises up from the floor beneath her, looking around and spotting the many guards that were all patrolling the nearby vicinity. Many of them were conversing with each other while walking about. The few that weren't speaking were just standing around, keeping an eye out for what Moire presumes would be suspicious activity.
Moire sat back down inside of her cage as a guard starts walking up towards the cage, giving her a bit of a stare before going up to the one that's standing in front of the cage. "So, who's the beaut?" he asks the guard. The man looks to his right and gives a bit of a glare to the new guard before stating, "Oy, she's off limits. Buyers were especially curious about her, so hands off the merch!" "Oh come on now," the other guard starts to argue, the two men lowering their weapons so that they can just start cussing and arguing with each other. Moire kept her eyes on the men until her gaze started to drift downward, all the way to his hip where her ticket out of here lies: A pair of keys, likely to her cage and, hopefully, her cuffs.
Getting ahold of the keys was easy enough as the guard that's supposed to be watching her is currently contended with one of his boneheaded buffoons he calls a coworker, and with one quick swipe she manages to just barely grab the keys. It's a good thing being a majin allows her to morph her body in all sorts of ways, or else it would've been a lot harder to slip her hand through the bars given the restraints on her. The moment she grabs the keys she immediately turns her body away from the two guards and tries unlocking her cuffs. Noticing the movement inside of the cage, the newcomer walks over towards the door and barks, "Hey, you look at us when we're speaking 'bout you, alright?!"
Her cuffs clicked, and she very slowly unclamps the restraints around her wrists as the guard gets overly impatient and orders, "Hey, open the damn cage, I've got a word I wanna share with her!" The cage guard signs before reaching down to his hip to grab his keys, only to realize that they were now missing. His gaze fixates back on Moire, who had decided to stand up, drop the cuffs from her wrists, and immediately fire a torrent of electricity at the two men, shocking them to the point of making them fall unconscious. The camp falls quiet for but a brief moment before sirens can be heard and footsteps grow closer and closer towards Moire's location. The majin begins to charge up her pitch black aura before firing two ki blats right at the two centermost bars, blowing them open and giving her a big enough gap to slip right through thanks to her malleable body.
As anticipated, the guards were right on their way towards Moire, except this time they no longer held the element of surprise against Moire. She slowly rises up into the air and begins to fire off a series of purple ki blasts at the nearest guards, sending each one away from her as she fires additional blasts at the doors to the cages, giving everyone else the opportunity to flee from their cages. As for the cuffs, they'll have to search the unconscious bodies of the men in order to find the right keys. Moire was a bit too busy blasting away her attackers, all the way until only one guard remained. He aims his rifle at Moire and takes several shots at her, but naturally the bullets did nothing to stop Moire as they just bounced off of her skin.
Moire dashes into the man and slams him right against one of the walls of a nearby cage. She was about to finish this fight when she suddenly got a hazy flash of her memory right at that moment. The majin started to hear echoes inside of her head, recognizing her voice and being completely unfamiliar with the other voices, yet she still knew them. There was some argument, the contents of which she couldn't make out as the words were too jumbled, but then an image flashes in her mind: Moire, standing in some strange plane of existence, her arms open and ready to receive a purple mass of flesh colored just like her own, with a hand sticking out from said flesh.
The majin didn't know how long she had been standing there, but the guard was ready to get her attention back as he kicks the majin right in her stomach, jolting her back into reality. Her eyes glare at the guard as she slams him far harder into the cell wall, knocking him unconscious when the back of his head hit the metal bars. She lets him fall to the ground as she slowly backs away from her work, the voices inside of her mind almost pressuring her, but to do what? They still made no sense, and the only word she could hear on repeat was 'absorb.' Moire shakes her head, realizing that she needs her distance, and now. The majin blasts off from the ground and up past the bamboo... Well, it turns out she really was still in the bamboo forest, just in a different spot. Her location, though, was currently the least of her worries as she just wanted to get as far away from this place as possible. Just now, she had gotten a taste of one of her memories, and from what she could tell, it was perhaps a memory that's best left forgotten...
