Ah, how peaceful this was.
He could not remember the last time he had truly given a moment to himself, when he could finally sit and simply watch it unfold. Of course he did not watch anything much beyond the endless dance between sun and moon, ever so passing his eyes back and forth. But when was the last time he had truly been? He remembered the attack on East City and its poor end, while he had managed to evacuate most citizens, in the end he put his own safety below the others and ultimately was struck by some of the explosions in the wake of the heroes’ defeat.
It was not like Nasu could try say he had witnessed what had struck him, it came as a blinding flash from the nape of his neck, one he did not get to see eye to eye and yet it managed to stun him nevertheless, and shortly after a massive bellow echoed in the area, and there he could remember being sent flying, before he completely shut down. In that short amount of time, it felt like months or perhaps even years passed, but it was not all gone, it was almost like he could remember seeing or doing things, but he would never be able to decipher if it was all a dream or what; especially because he would not remember one bit of it all.
Until brief images and things reappeared in his memory, at first he could not make much of it. He could only remember seeing patterns, tools of different kinds mostly used for farming and silhouettes that would occasionally visit him. He could not tell whether this was Heaven or Hell, but it would not last long.
Eventually his Saiyan physique gave him the push he needed for recovery and finally he had awakened. He did not remember much of the weeks or months prior to that singular day and even now his memory would only last as far as the evacuation went, and ultimately the way he was knocked out.
For one he was in quite capable hands, only surrounded by kind souls. He did not exactly know them from prior travels, but they introduced themselves to him as the Karinga, a tribe that lived and guarded the holy lands of Korin. He could not exactly say much about them or their land, he was not very knowledgeable, but he was thankful nevertheless and therefore chose to stay behind and help them for a while. He tried a little bit of everything, and in the end he found that he got strangely along with these people.
They even rewarded him with better clothing, since his own was basically all ripped and torn, he wore a necklace with several little wooden charms almost like a crown, and a standard leather attire with the typical stripes of the tribe, with one cloth in the middle that rolled all the way to his knees, displaying their symbol. The leather jacket was curious since it kept him warm enough for the winds, but in the end it was revealing enough where many of his cured scars would yet be visible, with the most recent ones being a little deeper and darker.
However, of course, in the end Nasu was not Karinga or anything.
He stepped outside one of the tents with enough wood that he had already gathered not too long ago that day, and once he had finally split the big hunks from the branches he was preparing a firecamp for dinner, all the while his gaze expressed that his mind was elsewhere.
Nasu had done a lot here and liked to feel like he had repaid them, he had helped them with many of their duties whether it be farming or guarding, but… while the sensation of belonging felt nice, he felt like there was more out there now. Ever since the attack in the city, he felt like he needed to spread his wings and fly, if he was to stay here for too long, would he not just grow stale?
Perhaps this would be his final meal with the tribe.

Since beginning her journey, the trials Rhapsody had faced were plenty; and since finding the Guardian of Earth, the goal of her journey, her training had been seemingly ceaseless. Rare was there ever a day of rest, but today was one such day; though not necessarily a day she looked forward to. Relaxing was all well and good, and she'd have been lying to say that she didn't enjoy simply laying around, basking in the sun; however the point of her training was to restore her father to health, and as such, a break from training felt akin to torture. "A healthy body promotes a strong, resilaint mind. In turn, such a mind nurtures a strong body."Dende had told her at the beginning of this day in spite of her protests. "Young one, please visit the tribes located at the base of the tower, the movements out in the world have been unsettling and I worry for how they fare below. You'll do me this favor, won't you?"Despite the guardians rather young face, the man was over two-hundred years old; this didn't make Rhapsody feel any better about the request however. If anything, she felt like he made use of his young, good looks to subtly manipulate those he made requests of. Little did she know, the man had basically grown up with humans through most of his life, making his gestures and mannerisms something he'd simply picked up over time. Regardless of any of it however, Rhapsody would cease her argumentative behavior; he was her Master, the one training her in the mystic arts, and so she would follow his instruction. Soaring down the side of the tower from the Lookout above, Rhapsody's ears would began to twitch as her still yet to be fully trained ability kicked in on it's own. She could sense a power below, one that went well being that of any within the Karinga Tribe. While she couldn't tell whether or not this power she felt was hostile, she knew it at least warranted investigation. Luckily she'd met the Karinga a few times already, so there wouldn't be any surprise from them as she fell from the skies above. "Bato!" Rhapsody would call out from above as she landed in the center of the tribal grounds, seeing Bato, the leader of this particular sect of tribesmen assigning tasks for the day to the hunters and gatherers. "Ah! Young Rhapsody, you bring joy to this old face with your visit! For what reason have you come today?" Bato would say happily, sending off his tribesmen with a nod for them to fulfill their tasks for the day. "Bato, I sensed something on my approach!" Rhapsody would say with a look of concern coupled with a furrowed brow, "Are you in danger? Is there an attack!?" She'd question, summoning forth her Keyblade, "That's why you sent those other guys out, right? I'll deal with the threat-!" She'd continue a bit over eagerly, wanting to quickly finish the job so as to return to the Lookout to continue her training. "Woah, woooah! Calm down young one, there is no threat here." Bato would say, quickly cutting Rhapsody off so as to prevent her from stirring up trouble, "I know not what you believe you have sensed, but please, feel free to look around and enjoy your stay, you know you're always welcome here young Rhapsody." He'd say happily, placing a hand on Rhapsody's shoulder as he attempted to calm and assure her, "Now, I have many more tasks I must see to today, I shall take my leave."With that, Bato would leave Rhapsody to her own devices; with the lack of a threat however, Rhapsody couldn't help but to feel more than a bit aimless. She'd give a sigh as she dispelled her keyblade, choosing to take Bato up on his offer to explore the village; she could feel the presence of something powerful rather close now, and regardless of how Bato felt, Rhapsody was certain that this power was the source of Dende's worry. A short walk to the edge of the tribes grounds would bring her to a tent which simply oozed with power from within, though said power was much less than she was capable of unleashing herself. If it came down to it, she was certain she could deal with the beast within, but approached with caution nonetheless. As the creature with the overwhelming energy emerged however, Rhapsody would freeze in equal parts awe and shock. "N... Nasu...?" Rhapsody would question softly, tilting her head slightly as she took in his familiar, yet strangely garbed appearance before approached the tent a bit more quickly and calling out again, "Nasu, is that you!?" She'd question, much more firmly this time in order to draw the mans attention. {~Battle Statistics~ Click Here}

Within the tent Nasu simply carried more rocks. After the rocks were carefully placed away, another chunk of iron was filled with the contents for tonight’s dinner; nothing more than sweet, a bunch of vegetables and flesh. The man knew how to cook well enough for himself, with all the years that he spent living on his own, and by now it was one of the few he chose to pay back the Karinga for the care they gave him in helping him recover. It was probably the least he could do, and while he waited for the stew to be ready while he idly let a wooden stick spin and mix the ingredients, another hand allowed him to feed him with an apple.
Therefore he simply stood in a tent, munching on fruit for most of his evening. Not the entirety of it, however, as all of a sudden another one came inside. He believed it could have been either Bato or someone else, but instead another voice struck his attention and soon caught his interest, he turned around to confirm his suspicions and witnessed the young Rhapsody once more traversing these lands.
Of course he did not know if she was a regular here or not, but he could definitely recognize her. He was recognizable enough too, even if he had Karinga clothes at the moment, it was hard to really mistake anyone else for Nasu, he was remarkable enough to really just stand out most of the time.
“Hey Rhapsody, how have you been?”
He said with a smile, all the while his mouth continued breaking and munching the apple until he just gulped it down his throat and with a sigh, and then approached the stranger with great interest. Rhapsody was by far the only one he had trained, and of course she was also a little special to him, given he did not have human contact in so long until the latest times, she was probably the first person he formed a friendship with in the latest years. So by far he was glad to see her.
“You look so much different. Like a whole different swordsman. How have you been? How are you and Keyblade?”

The man would speak, his voice even more familiar than his appearance, and as he did, Rhapsody's eyes would widen in excitement and worry both. In an instant, she'd be upon the man, leaping through the air and tackling the man at full force, albeit unintentionally. Her true intention was a hug, and despite the force she'd place in the assault, she help an underlying hope that Nasu could tolerate it with his massive frame. "NASU!!!" She'd exclaim, "Nasu it's been so long!!!" She'd continue, her eyes watering as she attempted to hug the man as tightly as she could, though the size different would forever make it impossible for her to ever wrap her arms around the behemoth. Their previous time together had been brief, but in that short time she'd learned and retained what she could from the man. He was her instructor, and though her skills had far improved from all that time ago, she still saw him as a friend and teacher both. She'd lacked the ability to sense energy when last they met, but not that she could, she would instill the feeling of Nasu's energy deep within her heart, ensure she wouldn't forget or lose track of the man again. "I've been fine!" She'd exclaim a bit childishly through a partial sob as she attempted to push back her overcharged emotions, "My keyblade too! I've learned a lot since we last met!" She'd say, before finally pushing away from the man and quickly rubbing her face while her tail twitched about excitedly, "I've been training with Dend-, ahem, the Guardian of Earth." She'd say, shooting Nasu a bright smile before switching to a curious expression, "But... what are you doing here, Nasu? Where have you been??" She'd ask, before giving the slightest giggle, "And what's up with your clothes?" She'd finished, before glancing around in a curious search for Shadowbreaker, hoping to pair her keyblade with its friend as well. {~Battle Statistics~ Click Here}

Of course the man immediately recognized Rhapsody. She was incredibly hard to mistake for anyone else and likewise one could not just mistake someone else for her. There were indeed plenty of things that were simply too unique about her; her looks and choice of attire were probably the most prominent and most importantly her weapon, one kind that he had never witnessed in all his years. It was not a bad thing of course he was simply surprised to say the least when he first met her, and even now he had already accepted it and even felt somewhat happy that he got to teach her a few things in the past.
He did not expect what was soon to come, however, when suddenly he saw Rhapsody fly straight into him?! Nasu was completely taken back to the point where he nearly fell down the floor if it was not for his otherwise readied discipline that saved him potentially but still had him pretty much shocked. Much like explained earlier, Nasu was a lone wolf and had as little human contact as possible, of course when hugged with this much force he was frozen pretty much, and his mind began to pretty much fail to the point where it was a little too much.
“R-rhapsody??”
The man exclaimed and soon enough his mind was once more working, with an ounce of concern down his throat now that he witnessed her watery eyes, just what was the deal with this? Had it truly been that long or could it be that perhaps she thought that she had died? After all, Nasu had pretty much disappeared from this world for quite a few months definitely, or maybe someone might have told her that he was there at the attack. Of course there were plenty of theories, but he started to feel somewhat bad now. So he gave her a few pats on the shoulder back as she hugged him.
“I am glad. You look and feel much stronger, indeed. Hahaha…”
He could not help but crack a little laughter until finally she pulled away, it was easy to tell that she had trained and become stronger; perhaps she was even more powerful than he was now, but he could not tell because he could entirely sense her out, therefore he only assumed it could be the case. And nevertheless of course, she asked a good question. Where had he been? And his clothes. All the while Shadowbreaker was not too far, it was on the other end of the tent, stabbed into the ground as it rested quietly.
The blade looked just fine, however there was a strange aura coming from without the sword, for unknown reasons and even Nasu did not have a clue at that time just yet. The man’s mind was elsewhere once he attempted to recall what had last happened, yes, he could still see the outskirts of the city.
“I was camping near a city and eventually I fell asleep.”
And then it came, the thunderous noises, explosions and more. He recalled most of it, when a building had been torn just to make an announcement. It was the Majin. In his mind she was there and yet it caused him to feel defeated by his own weakness and his lack of strength, he did not fear Liari, perhaps he only feared himself.
“I was there when Liari attacked. I woke up and rushed to the city. I did my best and even tried to fight, but I was too weak. In the end I only managed to evacuate everyone but I got caught in one of the attacks eventually and I was knocked out.”
To this day he would not remember exactly how he had been knocked away, but of course given the fact that Liari had become a large ape it was a little difficult to pin it down in any shape or form, it could have possibly been anything and there was no use in trying to guess. What mattered was the fact that he survived.
“One of the tribesmen found me and brought me to this place, they tended to me for some time. The clothes are also theirs, that is why I am dressed like this.”
He smiled with a little bit of a giggle himself, before he returned to spin the spoon around the stew that he had been preparing before he let go of it and put it away and instead he came near the fire with his finger, using the energy from within to release a small bolt of ki that managed to lit up the wood beneath the pot.
“They told me they are preparing a change apparently similar to my old clothing now. Because I have decided to leave. I recovered and paid them back. I helped with the work around here for the most part for a while, that was why I disappeared. But I can not stay here, this is not my place.”
Nasu never thought himself as one of the tribe here of course, but he did his best to be fair and kind so he could repay all the help they gave him, but there was a limit of course and by now he needed to be off. Where to? He did not know.
“Not that I have any place to be, but I need to get out and get stronger. I can not stay like this much longer.”
The thoughts eventually were dismissed from his mind and instead he focused on Rhapsody with a smile, he did not know much about her and while the stew was cooking, a good smell was filling the tent, it felt rich and warm. Nasu however chose to instead ask a few questions of his own.
“So you said something about the Guardian of Earth? What is that?”
He did not know much beyond the holy grounds and below, so of course the notion of deities and a guardian was completely unheard of for him, especially Nasu that believed in basically nothing. Of course if Rhapsody was to say something about that, it would be an entirely different situation.

As sure as sunshine, the man was indeed Nasu, and Rhapsody couldn't have been happier; from the way he'd vanished before, she'd believed the man to be dead at worst. She'd heard stories of the battles that happened in far off cities, and of the heroes that fought and lives lost. Nasu could have been swept up in any battle really considering his personality, and would have been lost without a trace. It was pure luck that the two could have a chance meeting here of all places, but Nasu would explain the events that led him to be amongst the Karinga tribe. The two would talk for a good deal of time, catching up with each other before finally the day would begin to draw to a close. Rhapsody would tell Nasu about her travels and her training with the Guardian of Earth, Dende. It was nice to know that there wasn't any form of threat to the Karinga Tribe, with the power simply being that of Nasu. With the conclusion of their conversation however, the two would separate from one another yet again, saying their farewells as they went their seprate ways. Rhapsody would return to her training, while Nasu would go off to explore the greater universe at his leisure. -Exiting Thread {~Battle Statistics~ Click Here}
