Quest: NORTH CITY BLUES *Hard*
Detail: A seemingly alarming number of police officers within the North City PD have become corrupt and like to steal evidence and money from crime scenes. Some, have even come across Ki Blasters and the power has gone to their head. Someone has to be leading them, you have been tasked with taking out these 'wannabe' officers and finding and taking out the leader, by arrest or by death. The choice is yours...

Was he somehow in league with the corrupt Police? No, that couldn’t be right… Perhaps his lack of trusting with the Earthlings was clouding his judgement… Still, even a Bounty Hunter like him couldn’t help to be not too careful.
Shred made his way to the North City Hall to meet with the Mayor. He arrived at the impressive building, guarded by a group of uniformed police officers. He approached the entrance and was stopped by one of the guards.
"Excuse me, sir, what's your business here?" the officer asked, eyeing Shred suspiciously.
"I'm here to see the Mayor," Shred replied calmly. "I have some important information regarding the recent corruption in the North City Police Department."
The officer studied Shred for a moment before nodding and letting him through. Shred walked into the grand entrance hall and was greeted by a receptionist.
"Hello, sir. How may I assist you?" the receptionist asked with a friendly smile.
"I need to speak with the Mayor urgently," Shred said firmly.
"I'm sorry, sir, but the Mayor is currently in a meeting. Can I take a message?"
"No, this cannot wait," Shred replied, his tone growing more urgent. "It concerns the corruption in the North City Police Department. Lives are at stake."
The receptionist's expression changed, and she quickly picked up the phone to inform the Mayor's office of Shred's presence. “Excuse me? Mr. Mayor… I have the Bounty Hunter here in regards to the corruption of the North City Police Department?” The receptionist called the Mayor. The very man himself was quiet, before answering: “Very well, send him in. I’ve taken quite an interest with this… Erm… Bounty Hunter.” The Mayor answered, knowing that the negotiations with this Bounty Hunter from another world was going to be dangerous and also rather troubling. A few minutes later, a secretary appeared and escorted Shred to the Mayor's office.
Shred walked into the opulent room, decorated with expensive furnishings and artwork. The Mayor, a portly man with a slicked-back mane of hair, stood up to greet him.
"Greetings, bounty hunter. What brings you to my office?" the Mayor asked, his tone friendly but guarded. A hint of sweat ran down the portly man’s face to the side, he could feel the tension in the air, and this… Thing… This alien from another world… Cerealian, was it? Well it was bad enough with the reports of these so called ‘Saiyans’ entering the Planet, and a ‘Majin’ threat, this was becoming too much… Even a hint of regret of being involved with crime was starting to plague him. "I have information regarding the corruption in the North City Police Department," Shred said firmly. "I suspect that the corruption goes higher than just a few rogue officers. I believe someone within the government is involved."
The Mayor's expression darkened, and he motioned for Shred to sit down.
"Please, tell me everything you know," the Mayor said gravely.
Shred recounted his experiences in North City, detailing the evidence he had collected and the suspicious behaviour of the police officers. The Mayor listened intently, his face growing more serious with each passing moment.
"I had no idea this was going on," the Mayor said with a sigh. "I will launch an investigation immediately. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, Shred. Your help is invaluable."
Shred nodded, feeling relieved that the Mayor was taking his concerns seriously. But as he walked out of the City Hall, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was still not right. He made a mental note to keep his guard up and to continue investigating the corruption in North City, no matter where it led him.
Though for Shred, he required answers... How long has this been going on for? How badly is it really for North City and it's Police Department. The Bounty Hunter needed answers, and perhaps he could be able to find out from one of the few uncorrupted. Shred made his way to a local diner near the North City Police Department. He had heard rumours that a certain police officer, who had a reputation for being honest, frequented the place during his breaks.
As he entered the diner, he scanned the room and spotted the officer sitting at the counter, sipping a cup of coffee. Shred walked over and took a seat next to him, ordering a cup of coffee for himself.
"Excuse me, officer," Shred began, trying to strike up a conversation. "I've been hearing some rumours about corrupt officers in this city. Do you have any information on this?"
The officer looked up, a surprised expression on his face. "I don't know what you're talking about," he said defensively.
Shred could sense that the officer was nervous, but he persisted. "Come on, man. I know there's something going on. I'm just trying to get to the bottom of it."
The officer hesitated for a moment before finally opening up. "Look, I can't say too much, but there's definitely something fishy going on. A lot of the guys at the station have been acting weird lately, like they're hiding something. And there have been some instances where evidence has gone missing."
Shred nodded, his suspicions confirmed. "Do you have any idea who might be behind this?"
The officer shook his head. "I wish I did. But I'm too scared to investigate further. I've heard rumors that the corruption goes all the way to the top, to the mayor himself."
Shred's eyes narrowed. "The mayor, huh? Thanks for the tip, officer. I'll make sure to follow up on this."
As he finished his coffee and left the diner, Shred knew that he had a lot more work to do. But he was determined to get to the bottom of this case, no matter what it took.

Shred began to start thinking, whilst the Armor slowly started to connect the dots, but it would take time.
As Shred walked through the city, he noticed more and more signs of corruption in the North City PD. He saw officers taking bribes, stealing evidence, and even assaulting citizens who questioned their authority. It was clear that the corruption had spread far beyond just a few rogue officers. As he walked, Shred saw a group of people huddled together, whispering amongst themselves. Curious, he approached them and asked if they knew anything about the corruption in the police department.
One woman stepped forward and spoke quietly, "We don't know much, but we do know that there's someone high up who's calling the shots. And anyone who tries to speak out against it, well... they don't last long."
Shred nodded, "Thank you for the information." He continued to walk through the city, determined to get to the bottom of this.
After a few hours of using his detective mode, Shred discovered that the corruption went all the way up to the Mayor's office. He had been working with a group of powerful criminals to control the city, and the corrupt officers in the police department were their pawns.
Knowing that he couldn't take on the entire group of criminals alone, Shred decided to call for backup. He contacted the uncorrupted sector of the Police Department, who agreed to send a team to assist him in taking down the corrupt officials and their criminal allies. Once again, it was the second time he had to ask for their assistance.
Together, Shred and the Uncorrupted members of the North City Police Department, they launched a coordinated attack on the corrupt officials and criminals, arresting them all and putting an end to the corruption in North City. With the city saved, Shred received a hero's welcome from the citizens of North City, who praised him for his bravery and dedication to justice. And although he knew that there would always be more criminals to take down, he felt a sense of satisfaction in knowing that he had made a real difference in the lives of the people he had sworn to protect.
Shred, decided to take the time to analyse everything within his Visor's HUD... taking the evidence with him, learning from the experience.

With each successful hit, Shred learned more about the organization's structure and key players. He began to compile a list of targets, and before long, he had a solid plan of attack.
Using his expertise in infiltration and combat, Shred was able to take out several key members of the organization, severely weakening their hold on the police department. He continued his assault, taking out more and more members until the organization was all but destroyed.
With the criminal organization dismantled and many of the corrupt police officers brought to justice, North City was finally safe from their influence. Shred knew that his work wasn't done, but he felt a sense of satisfaction in knowing that he had made a real difference in the world.
As he left North City, he couldn't help but think about the words of his mentor, who had always told him that a true bounty hunter doesn't just hunt for money, but for justice. Shred knew that he had lived up to that ideal, and he felt proud of the work he had done.
"Armor... Activate Diary Note 001... I wish to make a recording over today's general activities." Shred spoke to his tactical HUD, wanting to make an audio recording for his mental note from the ordeal the Cerealian had gone through today.
The Armor's AI responded, "Recording activated. Please begin speaking." The Armor beeped in acknowledgement, and Shred began his recording.
Shred took a deep breath before speaking. "Today, I was tasked with taking down corrupt police officers in North City. However, things did not go as planned, ontop of that, I discovered that the problem was much bigger than initially thought. The situation was not as simple as it seemed. It appears that the corruption runs deep and involves high-ranking officials. I will need to gather more evidence to prove my suspicions. I also encountered an unexpected enemy, an android unlike any I have seen before. It was a challenging fight, but I was able to defeat it. I will need to investigate its origins further. Overall, today's mission has taught me to always expect the unexpected and to never underestimate my opponents."
The AI beeped in confirmation. "Recording saved as Diary Note 001. Is there anything else you would like to add?"
Shred thought for a moment before responding. "No, that's all for now. I need to analyse the evidence I have collected and plan my next move."
"Understood," the AI replied. "Diary Note 001 saved. Good luck with your investigation, Shred." With the recording complete, Shred sighed and removed his helmet, feeling the weight of the day's events on his shoulders. But he knew that this was his duty as a bounty hunter, to protect the innocent and bring justice to the corrupt.
"Earthings... I've only just arrived on this planet, and they are already a big enough pain than I expected." The Cerealian Bounty Hunter commented with a grunt.
The tactical HUD responded with a beep, acknowledging the audio recording. "Understood, Shred. Would you like to add any further details to your diary entry?" Shred thought for a moment, contemplating his next move. "No, that will be all for now. I need to continue my investigation and find out the truth behind the corruption in the North City Police Department. I cannot let innocent civilians be harmed because of a few corrupt officers."
"Understood, Shred. Good luck with your investigation," the tactical HUD responded.
With that, Shred continued on his mission, determined to uncover the truth and bring justice to the citizens of North City. Just before he was about to leave, he stopped. A thought dawned upon him. Maybe, just maybe…. He should run a thorough check, one last time… Perhaps to truly connect the dots.
"Wait... Bring up the evidence one more time... None of this truly makes sense... The North City Police Department corruption... The Mayor's involvement, even the secret underground facility... Run a diagnostic background connection of all characters involved." Shed commanded his Armor's A.I, wanting to see if he can get to the bottom of the situation about North City.
The A.I. complied and began running a diagnostic background check on all the characters involved in the case. After several minutes of processing, the results came up on the HUD screen.
"Interesting," the A.I. remarked. "It appears that there is a deeper connection between the corrupt police officers, the Mayor, and the secret underground facility. They are all part of a criminal organization that has been operating in North City for several years. The Mayor serves as a figurehead and helps cover up their illegal activities. The corrupt police officers are the enforcers, while the secret underground facility serves as a hub for their operations."
Shred nodded, taking in the information. "Alright, I see what's going on here. It's a criminal organization running the show in North City. We need to take them down."
"But how do we go about it?" the A.I. asked. "They are heavily armed and have numerous resources at their disposal."
Shred pondered for a moment before coming up with a plan. "We need to hit them where it hurts the most - their finances. We'll take out their money laundering operation, cripple their funding, and force them to come out of hiding. Then, we strike."
The A.I. nodded in agreement. "I'll start analysing their financial records and locate their main money laundering hub. We can start from there."
Shred nodded, feeling a renewed sense of determination. "Let's do this." Shred took a moment to think. "Very well then. Let's run a system diagnostic on North City's criminal Gangs. Let's go through their names and numbers, and we'll begin to run down who -really- has been involved with the corruption with the police department. The fact this involved powerful villains in an underground facility with a powerful devastating weapon... No, we need to get to the bottom of this now."

Additionally, I have identified a few individuals within the police department who have received large sums of money from unknown sources."
Shred nodded, "Good work. Let's start with those individuals in the police department. We need to know who they are and why they've been receiving large sums of money. We might be able to track the source of those funds back to the people running the underground facility."
The armor's A.I. began to compile a list of the corrupt officers and their known activities. Shred looked over the list and decided on a plan of action. "Alright, we'll start with Officer Jackson. He's been receiving the largest amount of money and has a history of working with one of the known criminal organizations. Let's pay him a visit and see if we can get some answers."
Shred made his way to Officer Jackson's precinct and found the officer in question. After some convincing, Jackson spilled the beans on the whole operation, revealing the true extent of the corruption within the police department and the involvement of the criminal gangs.
With this new information, Shred was able to take down the corrupt officers and the criminal organizations they were working with, bringing justice to North City and putting an end to the illegal operations of the underground facility. Shred knew that his work on Earth was far from over, but for now, he had done his duty as a bounty hunter, bringing down those who would seek to disrupt the peace and order of the planet.
Perhaps next time, he’ll get down with some truly dirty work and get involved in the more Black Market aspects…

Shred nodded, his suspicions confirmed. "Do you have any idea who might be behind this?"
The officer shook his head. "I wish I did. But I'm too scared to investigate further. I've heard rumors that the corruption goes all the way to the top, to the mayor himself."
Shred's eyes narrowed. "The mayor, huh? Thanks for the tip, officer. I'll make sure to follow up on this."
As he finished his coffee and left the diner, Shred knew that he had a lot more work to do. But he was determined to get to the bottom of this case, no matter what it took.
Indeed, this was leaving more questions than answers. Whilst admittedly Shred had a feeling the Mayor was involved with the corruption in the North City Police Department, he needed evidence in order to make it official. The Bounty Hunter left the building, deciding to collect his thoughts, using the HUD screen on his Armor's helmet visor to start using 'Detective Mode'. Shred began to start thinking, whilst the Armor slowly started to connect the dots, but it would take time.
As Shred walked through the city, he noticed more and more signs of corruption in the North City PD. He saw officers taking bribes, stealing evidence, and even assaulting citizens who questioned their authority. It was clear that the corruption had spread far beyond just a few rogue officers. As he walked, Shred saw a group of people huddled together, whispering amongst themselves. Curious, he approached them and asked if they knew anything about the corruption in the police department.
One woman stepped forward and spoke quietly, "We don't know much, but we do know that there's someone high up who's calling the shots. And anyone who tries to speak out against it, well... they don't last long."
Shred nodded, "Thank you for the information." He continued to walk through the city, determined to get to the bottom of this.
After a few hours of using his detective mode, Shred discovered that the corruption went all the way up to the Mayor's office. He had been working with a group of powerful criminals to control the city, and the corrupt officers in the police department were their pawns.
Knowing that he couldn't take on the entire group of criminals alone, Shred decided to call for backup. He contacted the uncorrupted sector of the Police Department, who agreed to send a team to assist him in taking down the corrupt officials and their criminal allies. Once again, it was the second time he had to ask for their assistance.
Together, Shred and the Uncorrupted members of the North City Police Department, they launched a coordinated attack on the corrupt officials and criminals, arresting them all and putting an end to the corruption in North City. With the city saved, Shred received a hero's welcome from the citizens of North City, who praised him for his bravery and dedication to justice. And although he knew that there would always be more criminals to take down, he felt a sense of satisfaction in knowing that he had made a real difference in the lives of the people he had sworn to protect.
Shred, decided to take the time to analyse everything within his Visor's HUD... taking the evidence with him, learning from the experience.
As Shred analysed the evidence on his visor's HUD, he noticed a pattern emerging. The corrupt police officers all had connections to a particular criminal organization operating in North City. This organization seemed to be using their influence to manipulate the police force for their own gain.
Shred knew he needed to take down this criminal organization in order to truly clean up the North City Police Department. But he also knew it wouldn't be an easy task. The organization was well-funded and well-connected, and they had already infiltrated the police force. The Cerealian bounty hunter decided to start small, by taking out some of the lower-level members of the organization and working his way up. He used his advanced tracking and sniping abilities to locate and take out several of the organization's thugs, interrogating them for information on their bosses and higher-ups. With each successful hit, Shred learned more about the organization's structure and key players. He began to compile a list of targets, and before long, he had a solid plan of attack.
Using his expertise in infiltration and combat, Shred was able to take out several key members of the organization, severely weakening their hold on the police department. He continued his assault, taking out more and more members until the organization was all but destroyed.
With the criminal organization dismantled and many of the corrupt police officers brought to justice, North City was finally safe from their influence. Shred knew that his work wasn't done, but he felt a sense of satisfaction in knowing that he had made a real difference in the world.
As he left North City, he couldn't help but think about the words of his mentor, who had always told him that a true bounty hunter doesn't just hunt for money, but for justice. Shred knew that he had lived up to that ideal, and he felt proud of the work he had done.
"Armor... Activate Diary Note 001... I wish to make a recording over today's general activities." Shred spoke to his tactical HUD, wanting to make an audio recording for his mental note from the ordeal the Cerealian had gone through today.
The Armor's AI responded, "Recording activated. Please begin speaking." The Armor beeped in acknowledgement, and Shred began his recording.
Shred took a deep breath before speaking. "Today, I was tasked with taking down corrupt police officers in North City. However, things did not go as planned, ontop of that, I discovered that the problem was much bigger than initially thought. The situation was not as simple as it seemed. It appears that the corruption runs deep and involves high-ranking officials. I will need to gather more evidence to prove my suspicions. I also encountered an unexpected enemy, an android unlike any I have seen before. It was a challenging fight, but I was able to defeat it. I will need to investigate its origins further. Overall, today's mission has taught me to always expect the unexpected and to never underestimate my opponents."
The AI beeped in confirmation. "Recording saved as Diary Note 001. Is there anything else you would like to add?"
Shred thought for a moment before responding. "No, that's all for now. I need to analyse the evidence I have collected and plan my next move."
"Understood," the AI replied. "Diary Note 001 saved. Good luck with your investigation, Shred." With the recording complete, Shred sighed and removed his helmet, feeling the weight of the day's events on his shoulders. But he knew that this was his duty as a bounty hunter, to protect the innocent and bring justice to the corrupt.
"Earthings... I've only just arrived on this planet, and they are already a big enough pain than I expected." The Cerealian Bounty Hunter commented with a grunt.
The tactical HUD responded with a beep, acknowledging the audio recording. "Understood, Shred. Would you like to add any further details to your diary entry?" Shred thought for a moment, contemplating his next move. "No, that will be all for now. I need to continue my investigation and find out the truth behind the corruption in the North City Police Department. I cannot let innocent civilians be harmed because of a few corrupt officers."
"Understood, Shred. Good luck with your investigation," the tactical HUD responded.
With that, Shred continued on his mission, determined to uncover the truth and bring justice to the citizens of North City. Just before he was about to leave, he stopped. A thought dawned upon him. Maybe, just maybe…. He should run a thorough check, one last time… Perhaps to truly connect the dots.
"Wait... Bring up the evidence one more time... None of this truly makes sense... The North City Police Department corruption... The Mayor's involvement, even the secret underground facility... Run a diagnostic background connection of all characters involved." Shed commanded his Armor's A.I, wanting to see if he can get to the bottom of the situation about North City.
The A.I. complied and began running a diagnostic background check on all the characters involved in the case. After several minutes of processing, the results came up on the HUD screen.
"Interesting," the A.I. remarked. "It appears that there is a deeper connection between the corrupt police officers, the Mayor, and the secret underground facility. They are all part of a criminal organization that has been operating in North City for several years. The Mayor serves as a figurehead and helps cover up their illegal activities. The corrupt police officers are the enforcers, while the secret underground facility serves as a hub for their operations."
Shred nodded, taking in the information. "Alright, I see what's going on here. It's a criminal organization running the show in North City. We need to take them down."
"But how do we go about it?" the A.I. asked. "They are heavily armed and have numerous resources at their disposal."
Shred pondered for a moment before coming up with a plan. "We need to hit them where it hurts the most - their finances. We'll take out their money laundering operation, cripple their funding, and force them to come out of hiding. Then, we strike."
The A.I. nodded in agreement. "I'll start analysing their financial records and locate their main money laundering hub. We can start from there."
Shred nodded, feeling a renewed sense of determination. "Let's do this." Shred took a moment to think. "Very well then. Let's run a system diagnostic on North City's criminal Gangs. Let's go through their names and numbers, and we'll begin to run down who -really- has been involved with the corruption with the police department. The fact this involved powerful villains in an underground facility with a powerful devastating weapon... No, we need to get to the bottom of this now."
Shred's armor began to process the information, scanning through known criminal organizations in North City and cross-referencing their known activities with the evidence he had collected. After a few minutes, the armor's A.I. spoke up.
"Shred, I have located several potential leads. There are a few gangs known to operate in the North City area that have a history of working with corrupt law enforcement officers. Additionally, I have identified a few individuals within the police department who have received large sums of money from unknown sources."
Shred nodded, "Good work. Let's start with those individuals in the police department. We need to know who they are and why they've been receiving large sums of money. We might be able to track the source of those funds back to the people running the underground facility."
The armor's A.I. began to compile a list of the corrupt officers and their known activities. Shred looked over the list and decided on a plan of action. "Alright, we'll start with Officer Jackson. He's been receiving the largest amount of money and has a history of working with one of the known criminal organizations. Let's pay him a visit and see if we can get some answers."
Shred made his way to Officer Jackson's precinct and found the officer in question. After some convincing, Jackson spilled the beans on the whole operation, revealing the true extent of the corruption within the police department and the involvement of the criminal gangs.
With this new information, Shred was able to take down the corrupt officers and the criminal organizations they were working with, bringing justice to North City and putting an end to the illegal operations of the underground facility. Shred knew that his work on Earth was far from over, but for now, he had done his duty as a bounty hunter, bringing down those who would seek to disrupt the peace and order of the planet.
Perhaps next time, he’ll get down with some truly dirty work and get involved in the more Black Market aspects…
