Serena looked around the City as she flew after Opherla worried that the teen Saiyaness was gonna get herself in trouble. Though she admittedly had no idea in her head why she had thrown the Plushie at Liari. Though she had to admit IF they survived this battle she was totally gonna make fun of the poor girl for it but the Keyword was IF! She really did not want anything to happen to the Teenager so she crossed her fingers in a silent prayer. “” A damn plushi?””
Before she could make it all the way to The young Saiyan she heard that voice again from the lady she could say nothing but that she seemed very kind! Her action also seemed to be backing all that up. It was like a cold bucket of water washing over her as she felt Ayu's power level. A part of Serena was more than a little Jealous of her power as if she had that she could have been fighting up there with the monsters. But even her jealous feelings were pushed down by the feelings she got from the woman. Purity in the purest form Serena had ever felt and that feeling only made her want to help the woman when she asked for help finding a Child. She would do just that as soon as she met up with Opherla.
Flying up to Opherla, Serena was slightly surprised that Opherla saw her coming and smiled to herself as that meant the kid was indeed growing stronger very quickly. It made her smile to realize that Opherla, the girl she had pretty much one sided in a fight, was now stronger than her unless Serena got pissed off. It was Exciting to see the young girl become something more than she was before but very shortly Serena would learn just how much the girl had changed. “” Yeah , I assume Ayu is the Kind voice in my head? I will keep an eye out for him. Actually, I should be able to find him with his Ki. He should be stronger than a human but not one of the monsters fighting above. Also it is good to see you, Opherla!! I see you're definitely stronger than you used to be! I knew you had it in you! “”
Serena could not hear as well as Opherla could so she missed what set the Teenager off but while she was trying to sense the boy's power level Opherla flew away from where they had been in a mad attack on Quash. Serena just found the boy Ki signature when she noticed the young Hybrid had slipped away from her. “” Opherla?!! WAIT WHAT ARE YOU DOING!”” She screamed as she noticed where the Young Saiyaness went. She forgot all about the boy before Racing after Opherla as fast as she could. NO!! She couldn't DIE! She would not lose another friend like she had Natsu. As she flew through the Air the Majin clenched her teeth so hard that her muscles bulged and false veins popped in her face as she moved faster than she had ever before.
She failed to stop Opherlas attack on the Dark Saiyan and whatever was in her chest instead of a heart was beating so loud it was all the Majin could hear as she interposed herself between Opherla And Quash. The Majin started to pull off the Ki into her hands charging a flaming bomber to meet any attack or defense she would need to defend the Teenager that had stepped between two literal Giants.
“” OPHERLA! LEAVE”” She commanded her voice full of anger and worry as she prepared for the worst. There was no way she was gonna allow anyone to be hurt if she could help it.

Post by Callion on Feb 23, 2023 15:28:15 GMT -5
It certainly came to no surprise for Callion - even in his Super Saiyan form that was combined with the red glow of the Kaio-ken that his fellow pureblooded Saiyan Quash was able to hold his own against him. Every blow that he dished out against the Majin controlled Saiyan, he managed to defend himself quite well with all things considered. But Callion could see the torment and rage in Quash's eyes when he revealed himself to the city, alive and having returned to the land of the living after all this time. Hearing Quash's words, was just another reminder that being dead has consequences - for such a thing can affect anyone from all walks of life with those he had befriended. This was not a battle to be enjoyed. This was a battle of pity. The worst thing, that Callion knew, he saw everything whilst he was dead in Otherworld. Liari's reaction, Ayu and Liari's conversation, Quash's attempted vengeance, he seen it all and had to witness it, whilst having no power to intervene or do anything about it whatsoever. Perhaps to Callion, that was the worst part: Not being able to do anything. Callion calmed face turned to one of pity, and he knew that he had to find a way to help Quash break free from the control of the Majin. He couldn't let his fellow Saiyan suffer like this any longer. Callion could visibly see the darkness that has clouded Quash’s mind and ki, the Crimson eyes of Callion in his Super Kaio-ken form met Quash’s own Super Saiyan form, whilst the two were heavily engaged in combat. Not one word came out of Callion’s lips during their entire confrontation. What was there to say what could’ve been said? The Saiyan monk felt the guilt of not having had the strength and power to have aided Quash, nor having the means to provide assistance in anyway. All there was left? Battle, the first to the end, at least that corresponded to what the mindset of a Saiyan was all about, but Callion was playing the long game – or at least for as long as his Super Kaio-ken allowed him for what time he had left before his own overwhelming power took the best out of him. Hell, to even go Super Kaio-ken right off the bat was risky in of itself, for the sole purpose to try and knock out Quash so he could deal with the main threat; Liari. The Monk Saiyan felt his first punch connect with Quash - A shockwave rang out as yellow clashed with red, shattering the remaining windows around them. Callion’s mind worked out that the ‘M’ mark that Quash had seemed to have given him quite the considerable power boost, loyalty for power it seemed came at a price, one of which made Callion sick to his stomach. But he had to put his personal feelings aside for now, and focus on the task at hand. Truly, Quash was a Saiyan in his own right, a soldier from the homeworld that he and Callion shared; the Planet Vegeta – home to the greatest warriors the universe had ever known, and the Saiyan monk could see that he was a warrior in every sense of the word, managing to block not only the roundhouse punch that Callion threw, but also the very uppercut that made Quash get launched up into the air, and even THEN with his Oozaru fist, the very power that called for the very Ape beast that was within all Saiyans, it was able to be held back at bay by a backfist of all things! Callion’s eyes never left Quash for a moment, truly this power was beyond imagining, to be able to go toe to toe against the likes of a Super Kaio-ken form was incredible in his own part, and there need not be any words use to describe such a feeling… Even if Callion was beyond sick and disgusted by this fight, and what had become of his student, to see him fall from such an honourable grace, just to become a mindless animal that lived and thrilled for the battle. Even now Callion STILL cared for him… Hell, he STILL cared for Liari; the very Majin that initiated the very battle that began in the first place! Callion could not help but feel like he had failed them both, failed to protect them and guide them towards a path of righteousness. But he knew he had to continue fighting, for their sakes and for the sake of the innocent people caught in the crossfire. If only Callion had the means, or even found a way to break through the conditioning that Quash had to, at the very least, smack some sense into his fellow full blooded Saiyan, maybe find some manner of reason for stop the fight and perhaps the two can come to reason. Callion had no desire to kill him, that much was for certain and the more this very battle was going to draw out, the shorter Callion had the time to remain in his Super Kaio-ken form. But all of this and more was necessary – he had to keep going – and he didn’t need to be talked via telepathy to know what Ayu, Opherla and Serena that those three girls were doing a spectacular job in their own right, and honestly, he couldn’t be anymore prouder of them. Callion had to calculate his move and usage of attacks carefully – clearly his power and strength alone when combined with Quash’s mighty blow was going to keep on doing more and more damage to the city with every time they exchanged blows, and it could result in innocent lives being lost. He needed to finish this battle quickly and effectively, and he knew just the move to do it. Clearly, the Saiyan monk in his Super Kaio-ken could not allow this fight be allowed to continue for much longer. So, he shifted his strategy, taking advantage of Quash's rage and using it against him. Callion baited Quash with feints, leading him to think he had the upper hand, only to counterattack with swift and precise strikes that left Quash reeling. Each hit was aimed to wear Quash down, to tire him out, to break the hold the Majin had over him. Callion’s eyes turned to look at the situation in regards to Athren and Majin Liari for the moment. He saw Athren; the Super Saiyan hybrid in all his glory and might in his own regard, going toe to toe with the Majin Liari. Clearly, the two titans in their own right, being the dominant forces on the battlefield, were locked in a fierce struggle. But Callion could help but notice the awe-inspiring power that both Athren and Liari had in their possession against one another. Truly, there were powers beyond comprehension, firepower more than capable of not only rendering an entire city asunder, but possibly even putting the entire planet in danger in more ways than one. Callion felt a sense of pride in Athren, for his tenacity and his steadfastness in the continuing struggle against the Main Majin threat, but he also knew that this battle had to be won, and soon. It felt like slow motion for just a moment, but it was in that moment Callion's eyes gazed at Liari, as he saw her gazing at him, seeing the sheer disbelief in her eyes. He couldn't blame her in a way, Afterall the last time the two met was in West City where the two had their fated battle, one where Callion lost and was doomed to be absorbed by the Majin. Yet, Callion was here alive, fighting against her once again, and with a newfound power that even he could not comprehend. Callion could see the confusion and conflict in her eyes, and for a moment, he felt a flicker of hope that maybe, just maybe, he could get through to her. Maybe he could break through the corruption that the Main Majin herself had been influenced by the former Changeling Brothers, and show her that there was another way, a better way besides the unwanted destruction of life. But the moment was fleeting, and Liari's expression, whilst in a rare vulnerable state of having witnessed Callion impossibly alive, could only last for so long, and Callion could see this opportunity fleeting away, as she continued to unleash her devastating powers on Athren prior to having seen the Monk Saiyan that was, by all accounts, dead and supposed to be inside her stomach. Callion knew he couldn't dwell on it for too long, as he refocused his attention back to his own battle with Quash. He had to finish this, and quickly somehow. Though just before he could go back to engage in battle against his fellow fullblooded Saiyan brethren in the hopes to snap HIM out of being under the Majin influence, he never expected Opherla of all people, especially with little power that she had in her possession to come CHARGING into battle and attack Quash, defending Callion’s honour. Even he was completely startled and taken back by the Saiyan Beastfolk hybrid’s assault onto Quash, his eyebrow rose in a surprised manner and his eyes widened to see her hurl her body with that strong kicks one after the other! He even had the privilege to see her perform her Ryunotsume technique which was an incredible art in itself to have witnessed before his eyes. Callion was, for the first time ever, truly silence to have witnessed such a behaviour in his life, but he quickly snapped out of it and realized that Opherla's actions had provided him with the opportunity he needed to focus on his own battle with Quash. Though before he reengaged battle with Quash, his attention turned to the retreating Opherla, giving the beastfolk Saiyan hybrid a warm smile… He was proud of her… Immensely… Even if he’ll probably discipline her for such reckless actions and behaviour, he was surprised by her bravery. With a renewed sense of determination, Callion launched himself towards Quash, his ki surging around him as he prepared to take on his fellow Saiyan. As they clashed, the air around them crackled with energy, and their blows echoed across the battlefield. Callion reinstated the battle with laying on the pressure to the Majin Saiyan with the unexpected arrival and also departure of Opherla, and now sensing the rising attack power coming from that Red Majin newcomer that Callion hadn’t seen before. With a quick glance from his eyes, he couldn’t put it in his mind, but it looked as though she was worried for the beastfolk hybrid… Hmm, perhaps that Majin really could be trusted afterall. Callion proceeded his initial pressure and onslaught to Quash with a forward Jab to the body, followed by two solid jabs towards his head, hopping to get him pushed back and being put on the defensive. Now with the factor that Opherla was making an all hasty retreat, it was even more of a reason for Callion to keep on the pressure with his frontal assault, attempting to deny Quash with the aspect to chase after the beastfolk Saiyan hybrid, whilst keeping ever remaining quiet. However, the Saiyan monk was not done with his attacks – not by a long shot for this extraordinary battle that was going to take place. No matter what, Callion refused to back down. He was fighting not just for himself, but for the future of their race, this world, and the inhabitants that lived in it, for a world where Callion could exist peacefully with other races instead of constantly fighting and destroying everything in their path, hoping to stall the fight long enough to free Quash from being manipulated, and perhaps – even in the slightest glimpses of hope – to save Liari from her own destructive warpath. Though even now, Callion was not done yet. Once again, he his right-hand clench HARD, the ominous roar of the Oozaru was bellowing from within Callion charged once again directly at Quash to perform a powerful haymaker blow directly onto his body – initating a second time usage of the Oozaru fist technique. However, even in that moment, the Saiyan monk, once having finished with the mighty blow at whether it managed to land a hit or now, motioned his arms and body in a flowing water like motion to enter into a completely different stance as he lunged forward and initiated physical display of martial combat; a sequence of a flurry of blow that maximizes power while minimizing wasted movement, and all of those fast hitting, heavy blows were all aimed directly for Quash! No matter what was going to happen, Callion was going to give it his all in this early fight, and whilst he can feel the straining effects of the Super Kaio-ken absolutely hurting his body, the Saiyan monk pushed onward! If he had to break his own limits in order to stop this madness… Then so be it.

Quash was laser focused on the opponent in front of him. Every time the monk looked like he was going to strike, the saiyan raised his defenses almost instantaneously. However, every time he did, the attack never came. At this point, it was almost like Callion testing him. He had only fought him on one occasion, and it was a spar. He was admittedly inexperienced with his fighting style. As a result, it was obvious that he was maybe a little too on guard. But who could blame him? Callion was more than formidable, a seemingly insurmountable force. He was able to fight with little to no openings, move in a way that most would consider unnatural, and he was as hard-hitting as he was fast. One miscalculation and he would find himself on the defensive yet again. That crimson shade that surrounded him, whatever it was, had been giving off a dominating aura… Or maybe it was just Callion himself. With the pressure that was radiating off of him, it felt as if Quash could send anything toward the monk and he’d managed to get up afterwards… And that was the greatest gift he could ever receive. This little dance they were doing kept going for a little longer until Quash saw Callion’s eyes go elsewhere. At first, he thought it might be another trick, but he soon realized that he was staring at… something else? Oh no, no, no, this simply wouldn’t do. Smiling from ear to ear, full of a wicked rage, the former Captain was about to move again! His aura seemed to respond to his inner emotions, as it started violently crackling like fireworks as he tried to force himself to output more power. His muscles were screaming at him that they couldn’t take it, that he was going to push his body past what it was capable of if he kept being so reckless, but the warrior didn’t heed their warnings. This was a war between two unwavering forces of nature, there was no place for meaningless things like “caution”. To WIN, he would toss it aside. Quash let out a warrior’s cry that echoed throughout the city, signaling that the battle was going to resume. “AND WHAT ARE YOU GAWKING AT?! DON’T YOU DARE THINK YOU CAN TAKE YOUR EYES OFF ME FOR ONE SECOND.”He lunged forward, racing toward the distracted Callion like a bat out of hell. He refused to be so underestimated by another fighter. He was going to make him regret disrespecting him like that. Quash brought back his fist, preparing to launch another ground-shaking blow! WOP! His senses were so focused on his opponent, he wasn’t even aware that another fighter was headed his way. Completely caught off guard, a kick that came out of left field struck him right in the FACE! It wasn’t very tough, but it didn’t exactly help that he wasn’t ready for it. Before he could get his bearings and figure out what was happening, a second kick was already on its way! WOP! The combined momentum of the two attacks had brought Quash’s body back a few meters before he quickly brought himself to a stop. His eyes quickly locked onto the girl who struck him, who was seemingly trying to outmaneuver him, but the effort would prove to be futile. At the level he was currently at, he was able to perceive fighters moving at much faster speeds. He recognized her from one of the people the red majin was staring at earlier. She had come back to fight? With the power she had? To say that he was upset that she would dare interrupt this legendary one on one battle was an understatement, but it was out of his hands now. 'Tch, fine. Show me what you have!'That was the thought Quash had before he decided to TAKE the attack, wanting to see what she had to offer. Her claws would slash at him repeatedly, tearing through his clothes and making shallow cuts against his skin. As the final ki blast was shot from her palm, he LEANED HIS HEAD INTO THE BLAST IN A SHOW OF DOMINANCE, getting stuck square in the forehead! His body moved back from the impact even more than the kicks had. This was clearly her most powerful attack. He had to admit, she might’ve had a ways to go, but she was more powerful than he thought. Suddenly, she had fled! In her place a… Is that a cat plushie? He had to give her a little credit, but he was even more annoyed than before! If you’re going to interrupt a battle, then finish the job! Quash couldn’t dwell on the moment too long though, as the red majin had appeared out of nowhere, charging up an attack against him! ‘Great… They’re all coming out of the woodwork now.’
He clenched his fists in frustration. Would NO ONE allow him the fight he deserved? ‘Damn bubblegum bastards... I’ll show her what happens wh-’All of his senses lit up immediately. WHAM! Quash was a second too slow! The wind was taken out of him as he was struck in the abdomen by the first jab! Blood and spit flew from his mouth in all directions as his mind began to focus on the pain. Learning from his fight with another particular saiyan that he couldn’t remember the name of, he knew to not let himself be dazed for too long. He had to force himself to regain a foothold in this fight! A SAIYAN WILL NEVER YIELD TO ANY ENEMY! Having to mentally tell himself to do so, he raised his hand up to block one jab, before resorting to WILLINGLY taking one on the jaw in order to land a RIGHT HOOK OF HIS OWN! A SAIYAN WILL CREATE THEIR OWN OPPORTUNITIES, NOT WAIT FOR ONE TO APPEAR BEFORE THEM! It didn’t seem to slow him down any further, however, as the monk refused to buckle as he was preparing another POWERFUL PUNCH! Quash had no time to start the wind up for his Lightning Lash punch this time, instead choosing to raise his arms up to block! Yet another shockwave radiated outwards as the blow struck him, almost completely breaking through his block! His will to fight only strengthened the harder he was hit, already preparing his next move! A SAIYAN LIVES TO FIGHT! It looked like his opponent had no qualms fighting with help on his side. So, this was how he was going to play it now, huh? As he started to recover, the corrupted saiyan had renewed his resolve. “So be it…”“I’LL TAKE YOU ALL ON!”It was time to turn the tide. As Callion pressed his attack yet again, Quash had something special in store. He brought back his right arm and began to pour energy into his hand. The wind began to kick up around him in response to the power that had spawned in his palm. Black electricity crackled all around it as the red energy ball began to grow in size. This was his powerful attack yet, originally meant to be the move that destroyed Liari. How ironic. “Alright…”The attack was ready. “LET’S SEE YOU STAND UP TO THIS…BOK!
CHOY!
BBBBBLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAASSSTTTTTT!!!”
Quash THREW HIS HAND FORWARD, A LARGE ENERGY BEAM LAUNCHING OUT OF IT! A red spiral went around the beam as it was headed DOWNWARD straight toward CALLION! The force behind was great that, if it struck, it would almost certainly send even someone of the monk’s stature into the ground, causing a MASSIVE EXPLOSION THAT WOULD UTTERLY DECIMATE THE DAMAGED CITY! The saiyan would let out a loud exhale. Having just used a huge amount of energy to pull that off, he asked his body for a whole lot just now… But not enough. Not nearly enough. This fight wasn’t over yet. Not until everyone who chimed in was defeated. He looked over at the red majin charging up her energy attack, glaring. And he definitely wasn’t trying to hide it. He powered up, trying to regain the energy he had just spent. 'A cancer, the lot of you. I don’t know how many of you are there, but I’ll wipe your species right out of fucking existence.'
After a moment or two, Quash would dash towards her with a burst of speed, trying to take her out as soon as he could! WC: 1441 TWC: 4804

Post by Athren on Feb 26, 2023 3:46:09 GMT -5
"You think I give a shit whether my WORDS bore you or not?!" The saiyan exclaimed in the heat of the battle as it carried on. Intense pressure was exerted on both sides as both warriors tried their absolute best to get the upper hand on their opponent. Athren didn't know as of yet why Liari was doing this, he had no insight into her reasoning, all he could really remember from their brief encounter from the last time was that she had seemed to want to make the population of Earth live underneath her foot, pressing down to suffocate them all to her own twisted ruling and if they resisted, they would die. That's had to be why she was doing this, Right?! To rule the planet Earth and have her own twisted games? Yet a fighter came to meet her, stop her and give her a fight, yet he was BORING? "You wipe out HALF a city and expect me to talk to you about it!?"Maybe the simple fact of the matter was that he wasn't actually boring, but instead, the game for her wasn't as fun because she was starting to lose, she was starting to see what she had caused, what kind of warrior would ACTUALLY face her, maybe she was starting to feel the fear he promised and her words were the last line of defense to contain it. "You might think you know the dark thoughts that go through my head, you might THINK you know about me but the truth is.. You don't know anything at all. You don't know the things I've done, and put myself through to put myself right here, in between you and this city and I promise you, you'll understand soon that I'm like nothing you've ever faced before." His words were as sharp as a knife, and the cool sense of calmness remained. He was a stone-cold warrior focusing on battle, his thirst for blood nearly non-existent. Though he wanted to win this thing, it wasn't his priority to make Liari suffer, to cause her to bleed, he wanted to finish her off quickly, he wanted the people of the city safe and sound, he wanted the few he cared for around just as safe. Callion, Ayu, Celric, Opherla, Even Quash.. they didn't deserve to be caught up in this, they didn't do a thing to have to face down such an opponent. No matter what they did in their past, they didn't deserve to meet a cruel fate at the hand of Liari, and Athren was going to be the one to stop it. After Athren's Nova Wave had hit, it wouldn't have been much of a surprise but Liari had more words for the Demonic Saiyan Hybrid. Yet, he remained so focused on the battle that his posture was strong and unbroken, his attitude full of confidence, and his own words still cold to the tone. "Yeah..? And what's that!?" He responded to her comment about what made a fight fun. There was no respect given to this warrior, nothing for Liari to earn any little bit of it. Everything she had done up to this point was pathetic and petty, the actions of a tyrant who simply wanted power, and control, and wanted to have those follow her with fear as their fuel. Athren wouldn't allow it, not any longer, not ONE more city, it would end here. When he pressed her again with his next combination of strikes, some of them had landed and he couldn't help but smirk when the kick had sent her blasting toward the ground. He couldn't help but hover there, observing as she made her recovery. Though again, even as Athren continued to collide BIG blows with the Majin warrior, she just wouldn't shut up. They'd just keep on rambling, though this time?! This time it wasn't just pathetic taunts, calling him boring. Finally, the Super Saiyan was about to get an explanation. What he heard wasn't anything that he could have expected, her actions in East city along with her little dialog about bowing before her made him assume something completely different, but now he was getting the answer, and even the answer was pathetic. His eyes slightly widened and he soaked it in, the demon-Saiyan hybrid in a near state of disbelief. Even most saiyan's that he knew, wouldn't go this far for simply for the entertainment value, they'd seek out strong individuals and start fights, but slaughter the weak? Destroy cities? That usually required payment. Majin Liari, was on a completely different level. His tone shifted, the slowly cold and calm tone being suffocated with hints of anger. "Wait.. You're doing this.. because you're BORED?!"Both of Athren's fists clenched tightly, he couldn't help but think of all the damage that surrounded them, the countless lives that were lost simply to draw out somebody to fight with. There could have been so many different ways to find a fighter, to meet a challenge, and go toe to toe to their heart's content, but this?! This was not acceptable, this wasn't RIGHT! He couldn't help but start feeling angry, his blood pressure increasing as his veins started to show through his skin. "I VERY well might deserve it.."It was in that moment his history flashed before his eyes, from conquering planets that he was ordered to as a Saiyan, from killing innocent people and wiping out villages and planets simply for the wealth when he was a mercenary, his Orange City incident, his children. Being a father would always be his greatest failure and there wasn't any singular way to come back from that. That fact would always remain. He had gotten them killed based on a decision about making money, not to mention his entire crew slaughtered along them for one singular decision. Yeah, he deserved it but the people of Earth? This isn't what they deserved, they deserved peace, safety, and freedom. "But NONE of these people deserve it, none of them deserve the HELL you're putting them through, to lose their homes, their friends, their FAMILIES!"His anger continued to rise, as he watched Liari rip her own arm off with a solid grunt. Even if anger was consuming him, his right eyebrow arched curiously. There was truly no way to expect what this fighter was capable of, her techniques and styles were just too different from anything he had ever faced before. Though she did give him one clue about her, eating Saiyans? Having TWO of them in there? Did she mean inside her physically? It was at this point Athren would sense deep down, sensing signatures of other beings inside of this monster and his memory bringing him back to Yardrat and Pybara's explanation of the Spirit Fission technique. Was it really possible!? Was it something Athren could pull off? Maybe, just maybe it'd be worth a try here. He just needed to stay focused on this fight and try to remain calm, but it looked like that was going out the window and fast. He was getting angrier the more she talked. Though it was at this moment that the arm would quickly dart towards him, thinking he had more than enough time to react Athren would simply shift his body to the side to allow it to go right past him but the unexpected had happened and before he even knew it the had managed to wrap and entangle him, squeezing tightly against his muscles as he struggled against it. "Grr.." He let a light growl escape his lips as he tried to break free, before a loud grunt escaped his lips as it squeezed even harder. "GRRMP!" He watched her jump into the sky and immediately knew that he'd need to break free. It was at that point where he flared up his aura once more and let his energy push the Majin goo away from his body, though it left him with little time to react to the incoming blasts. All he could do was force his arms into an X in front of him and bring his knees up and protect his vitals from the explosive Ki blasts and their devastation. The blast itself really didn't hurt all that much, but it did force his body to get shot back and put a little bit more distance between himself and the Majin. Her words registered with him as he focused on his defense and protecting himself. Though here words this time, they dug even deeper into the Saiyan warrior. .. "Being STRONG when nobody wants to fight you. At least with the former, you have no shortage of opponents." Within a moment, Athren had found himself back in a firm, straight posture as he floated in the air. His clothing was tattered and torn, smoke rolling off parts of his body now and into the air that surrounded him. The two beams blasted towards him rapidly and he quickly SMACKED both of them away and into the sky. "YOU KNOW WHAT'S WORSE THAN BEING STRONG AND NOBODY WANTING TO FIGHT YOU!? BEING STRONG, BUT NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO PROTECT THE ONES YOU LOVE!"He couldn't help but think of the failure, the day his children had died right before him. Athren had been strong, he was always strong but in that moment he wasn't strong enough, he failed as a father, as the kids only parent at the time, and couldn't protect them with his own strength. He wasn't enough, his power wasn't enough, and he lost them. Right there, in front of him as he was helpless to even punch the person who did it. Liari HAD no idea what they were talking about, they were lost in this twisted, delusion of some game that they thought they were playing, but the people below? They were like Athren, they weren't strong enough to protect their children from Liari, their friends, and their families, not a single soul below could stop her, could save their loved ones. Just like Athren. They were essentially what he was at that moment, helpless. He was pissed, HIS AURA FLARING up as Liari spoke once more, calling him a gutless coward as he was just about ready to press the attack once more, his anger fueling every single ounce of his body... His thoughts ran wild. ~ A Ki signature..? ~~ Why.. ~~ C..Celric..? ~His aura immediately cut off, his attack shut right down as he sensed him. His head turned to the right, as he finally got to lay his eyes on his very own son. It had been months. He remembered it like yesterday, the morning of May 17th, after he transformed back to his base form and he rushed back to his ship to leave the Planet for good, only to find his children held captive. It was the last time he had seen Celric alive, and the last time he saw Celric at all, he was covering his body with dirt and burying him in the ground. Athren's anger was completely erased in all but a moment, while his son was floating there staring at him from a street or two over. On his son's arm was another boy, one who had been caught in this mess and helpless to do anything, yet there Celric was, saving him. Celric would almost have a look of hope on his face when Athren glared at him through his transformed state. There was a brief pause, a peace in all the destruction that was surrounding them. May 17th, and he was here, putting himself RIGHT back in harm's way, but that wasn't on Athren's mind. The weight of it, his own son was right there, yet all he wanted to do was rush over and hug him, leave the battle behind, and hold his son, but the weight of his decision wouldn't allow him too, the father looked at the son knowing the history, knowing everything about the boy, but the boy looked back at a Super Saiyan, at a warrior he knew nothing about. The last time Athren had seen that look of hope was just before Athren couldn't deliver on it. He couldn't save his son then, he couldn't do anything then, he was helpless. Just like all the people below, but this time..? This time was going to be different... "Finish this.. "With a nod, Celric would fly back towards Ayu with the Earth boy in his arms. Whatever Ayu had been teaching him, Celric was changing too. The boy helping those around, maybe it was the death, the Earth, Ayu's teachings or something completely different, but Athren was proud. His boy flying away, Athren found his eyes watering, one single tear leaving his eyes, running down his cheek before his eyes closed. Flashing before his eyes, was every moment with his son and daughter, every second of laughter, of joy, of fun. All the love that was shared, all of it. A whisper escaped the saiyan's lips.. "I'm sorry..""....I love you, Kid." His head turned, and his eyes flared open rapidly as they locked back onto the Majin who had appeared to be caught in her own little distraction. Inhale.. One slow exhale.. Athren's aura FLARED up once more, the bright golden coloring flickering, engulfing the warrior with a bright, hot inferno of raw power, raw EMOTION. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!"He wouldn't do it again, he wouldn't fail that boy again. The look in his eyes SAID everything, they brought him back into the very moment he lost him, and he WOULDN'T lose him again. No more children in this city would bury their parents, NO MORE PARENTS, WOULD BURY THEIR CHILDREN. NO MORE. He wouldn't fail again, This.. This was for Celric, for Cress. For EVERYBODY who couldn't protect their children, for EVERYBODY who couldn't protect their parents, for everybody below who was just like him in that moment..... His eyes closed once more, his power up continuing as the city itself began to shake the very foundation of the Earth, buildings vibrating and shaking, pebbles and stones lifting off the ground as more tears escaped the saiyan. Glass shattering from windows that were intact. "AAAAAAH!"His roar coming not from a place of anger, but of pain, and sadness, yet a strong sense of motivation, and responsibility. All the weight on his shoulders, the weight of his decisions, coming out to the surface, coming out with something more, something powerful, something.. beautiful. His hair flickered to a sharper style, his aura starting to have bolts of electricity jumping around as it grew larger, flaring more aggressively, brighter. He felt something right there, within his grasp. He just had to reach out and take it. His head tilted downwards, his eyes still closed as his tears dried. His fists clenched tighter, It was NOW or never. "THIS... ENDS... NOW...!" "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"With ONE.. FINAL PUSH....... The warrior's power exploded, his power multiplying. His hair standing sharper, more elegant. He had reached a new level, he had become a Super Saiyan Two. As his eyes opened, no tears remained in his eyes as they locked onto Majin Liari one more time. His stare was more serious than ever before, his posture stronger, his power pressing against her even harder. He couldn't help but admit that this felt good, letting all those emotions out, letting everything go, this was who he was supposed to be, this was his purpose. "You're the one who started this game, and now that you're losing. It's no fun anymore, is it? You're no fighter, you're no warrior. You're nothing but a coward, a weak fool who slaughters those who can't fight back. "" You claim to be the strongest thing on this planet... "He paused for all but a brief moment, only to continue speaking from his current positioning. This new form, pulsing through his veins, dominate over the demonic form he had activated at the moment. "But let me FINALLY introduce myself.."Another brief pause followed.. "Athren."

Saying that the City was in an uproar was an understatement. The more the warriors were fighting, the more energy was shaking the ground and the foundations of the islands were trembling. Roads were cracking. The sheer pressure of auras was throwing off the balance of every street lamp and road sign. Ayu was running through the maze of collapsed and abandoned buildings, looking out of every unstable area - guided by any stray energy signatures of those who were trapped in the city. It wasn't an easy task but while the main forces behind the attack were occupied she needed to use that time. So far she managed to create roots sturdy enough to keep houses from crumbling to dust, helping out those who couldn't leave their places after Liari's first attack. The line made of red poppies was a landmark for people to follow to get to the bridge. As much as she disliked any act of vandalism, breaking down walls or windows wasn't that if it meant that she could pull out innocent lives from danger. One, two, ten, with every person she directed toward the north side and sensed walking to the safer main land, Ayu felt a little bit better. It wasn't time to relax - the knot in her stomach and trembling hands weren't going to let her forget what was at stake. This work wasn't going to end so soon, not until every civilian would be away from the range of fire.
As she was running through the smoke, dust, and sparks, Ayu felt a sting jabbing on the side of her mind. She stopped in her truck and turned her head toward the direction of the nearest fight. The signatures she picked just now... N-No way, Opherla, and the Red Majin too... They joined the battle with Quash to aid Callion, risking their lives, knowing how could it end.
... And what was she doing?
Helping civilians, right, but... A bitter taste akin to blood filled Ayu's mouth. What if there was something else she could do and be more effective - ending the fight before it could even begin? Biting her lip she lowered her head, painful doubts starting to swirl inside her mind. She was strong to some degree, she was aware, what if that could solve the conflict? What if she could help? ... Won't they blame her for not moving a finger? ... Won't they blame her... For not even trying? Ayu couldn't help but swallow a silent weep. She knew she was starting to accuse herself of being a coward. Though if Ayu transforms as she did back then in the wasteland, her power will most likely go out of control again, and then Liari won't be the biggest threat in South City. No, she was determined to not let that happen. The time she sacrificed on meditation and learning control didn't mean she could be master of her own Ki instantly - or was this justification flawed in her eyes... Was Ayu running away from the thought of fighting, choosing to focus on saving lives as a perfect excuse to not get her hands dirty..? She was scared. Her eyes started to burn with tears and her next breath was raspy and shallow, the lip she bit started to bleed.
Was she always this pathetic..?
She couldn't possibly save anyone the way she was now, could she?
There was an explosion behind Ayu's back. The loud noises, like thunders clashing against each other, resonated through the air. A sudden gust of wind carried debris and dust with it, she could only close her eyes when the dark cloud washed over her, passing away in an instant. The cloak she had was torn off and stolen by the wind, her hair was ruffled. Shockwave was so strong the nearest installation was about to fall but two trees sprout from the ground, saving the building from collapsing. That was close... Ayu shook her head, trying to find out what happened - the signatures were fighting, and she knew as much. Was in this split second, part of the city destroyed..? The rumbling noise and the sense of dread exhaling a chilling breath on the back of her neck told her enough. Ayu's knees grew weaker at the thought of all the energies she hasn't reached yet and now they disappeared as easily as blown-out candlelight. Enough. That was enough...
"Please, stop..." she whispered with a voice so weak it was barely audible - not like there was anyone near to hear her cry. She couldn't break down like that, she couldn't, there was still work to do. Ayu hastily wiped her face and tried to focus on the energies she picked up. There was one Ki that stood out the most with its hate, rage, and bitterness and while she could feel it, the negative emotions were so strong and sharp it hurt to even sense them. Quash. What has Liari done to him..? The hint of her magic remained and although it wasn't strong she couldn't find any other explanation for why would the Saiyan turn to the mindless massacre of the city. Her hand clenched into shaking fists... She met him before, right. Back then despite the injustice that met him, he was level-headed, focused on his goal and clearing his name. Who was the person that tricked him... Ayu couldn't remember but it didn't matter now. Looking at that picture from before and comparing it to what was happening now... That didn't make sense, what he was doing was all wrong.
Please, stop. Why they all couldn't stop..?
Quash. Ayu's voice appeared in the Saiyan's mind unexpectedly - simply a calm, concerned tone. Joining her hands like for prayer, she closed her eyes, focusing on his signature. She did everything she could to sound clear but she couldn't stop her voice from cracking now and then. That's enough, p-please... You said that you never wanted t-to attack Orange City, right..? Ayu mentioned the deed that happened some time ago for a reason - three Saiyans flattening the place to the ground - and why? Because one of them tricked the other two into it. You p-planned to resolve the blame of being unfairly accused of that, remember? You told me that, personally. I-It all happened because you were taken advantage of... A-And then you were treated as a criminal by your home planet. You told m-me you were going t-to fix that... Ayu's inner voice softened and she tightened her eyelids to stop the tears from flowing.
What if she was wrong? What if his current state was a result of him giving up on the priorities Quash once held dear? She didn't know anything about the Saiyan aside from their brief encounter but she could sense the determination back then. The one that was now gone... Or rather was still present but focused on a different thing entirely. Just how much pain must a person feel to change this way? That sole thought was creating a lump in her throat.
So how... How... Her voice now seemed to be gaining strength, to the core worried about the fate of this warrior. How come you're doing everything to prove to USD and Vegeta that they judged you r-right? How are you attacking this place is helping y-your cause..? If her words couldn't reach Quash then maybe, just maybe, they could buy Callion and the others some more time to prepare... She was praying that the old determination that she sensed in the Saiyan wasn't dead yet. I-I don't know what Liari did to you but you were talking before like there was a different hardship y-you needed to overcome... Ayu's tone lowered to a whisper when the sadness took over and the telepathic connection started to weaken. She sighed, opening her eyes to look in the direction of the energy discharges painting the sky with ominous colors. Or does i-it not matter anymore..? she asked him, knowing she won't hear an answer.
Ayu didn't know if she had the right to intervene in a fight that clearly wasn't hers. Or was that thought another excuse..?
She lowered her head, with a heavy heart listening to the sounds of battle. The smoke, fire, debris... Liari was fighting for her own amusement. The Saiyan that was opposing her was doing so for unknown reasons but seeing that he listened to Ayu's request, he cared about the lives of others. The Red Majin and Opherla joined the battle, together jumping at Quash who was still raging and... With every moment of the fight, Callion's energy was growing weaker - now she was sure that whatever he was doing, he was pushing himself to this limits at expense of his life force. Ayu pressed joined hands against her chest. His power was beyond whatever she could imagine and he was ready to sacrifice it like that... An awe was mixing with admiration. They all were fighting to the best of their abilities and- Ayu slouched as the weight of realizations set heavy on her shoulders. Was she the only one that couldn't push herself to do anything worthwhile?
Just like that, a light shoot through the sky.
There was another explosion - of raw power that almost knocked her off her feet. Ayu raised her arms to cover her face, forcing herself to stand while the ground was shaking, every piece of dust and rubble was vibrating when the immense aura shoot through the area. And this Ki... Ayu could feel the shivers running down her spine. The Saiyan that was fighting Liari has just reached another layer of energy, the one that grew up on the emotions storming inside. That was... A determination so strong it solidified with power. Was that level even possible... The golden light was shining so brightly. Whoever he was, he was ready to fight to the death, she could feel it. And that... Was bad, in a way. It just meant that Liari was overpowered on her battlefield and her opponent wasn't going to show mercy just like she didn't have any compassion to spare for others. Ayu was looking at the sky, the blaze and the wind slowly fading away, and the tears started to flow, running down her face. She was glad no one was looking...
"Liari, that's enough..." Ayu whispered, knowing very well that once the wheels has been turned, they couldn't stop it. The Majin wanted a battle, going as far as attacking innocent people and provoking everyone to face her... And the Saiyan who answered the call was going to fight back - with the fire burning inside him so strong, there wasn't anything she could think of that could stop him. It was time to pay for what she has done. Liari's guilt was obvious, Ayu couldn't deny it but above all, she didn't want to see anyone die... "Please, s-stop..." Deep down, she still thought that if she only took better care of the Majin, and was there for her, things would have been different. In the end - was she of any help to her? All that family talks, caring about people and saying that nothing could justify causing suffering to others... It's like it never happened. Like Ayu's word had no meaning.
She didn't want to lose anyone again. Bluebell included...
Please, don't die. Her words were fainter than a whisper, barely passing as a thought inside Majin's mind. Would she hear her? Ayu didn't know. It didn't matter at this point what she wanted, did it..?
"... You're going t-to get yourself killed at this point," Ayu silently cried when high up in the sky the Saiyan's energy was overpowering everyone in the area. Her knees finally gave in. She fell to the ground among the remains of the once beautiful street, surrounded by an empty area and collapsed buildings. The echoes of the fights all around her were resonating through the air, everyone struggling for their survival, the safety of the city, or their own entertainment. She hid her face in her hands, with nothing but a quiet weep escaping her lips.
"Please, that's enough..."
There was nothing Ayu could do about it.

"...I would hope so. Otherwise, why would you bother speaking at all?" Liari responded, her tone falling flat. Liari waved a hand all around her. "It can't be for these people, right? What, you giving them screaming-lessons or something? This is a game, Athren. For whateverpassessasagod's sake, do something else to keep this fresh, would you?" ...Liari would come to regret those words later... Or maybe she wouldn't. Time will tell. Athren would then SCREAM his frustrations at her, incredulous that she would BLOW UP A CITY and then talk about it! Liari would raise a finger, stopping him there. "I attempted to wipe out half a city. Difference." The Majin clarified, a playful smirk on her face. "Sure, I glassed a few farms on the edges but... What? Do heroes shed tears over cows now? Cows that'd be made into burgers later? Bah. Idiotic. AND BESIDES, look around!" Liari once again gestured to the city, now resembling more of a ghost town than it ever had before. "The people are gone. The damage is superficial. And-" ...Liari paused, glancing down at the ground where she'd landed. It looked as if a small meteor had impacted the center of town. The Majin raised her eyebrows, pursed her lips, then flicked her gaze back to Athren. "...And that's your fault. In fact, I bet if I hadn't landed the way I did, you would've made a sinkhole the size of a small suburb. So... uh... yeah. That's totally on you." It seemed as if Athren had MORE to say, determined to display Liari as the purely evil creature she was! He had started with her feats... and failed, SO NOW it was time for some character comparison! She was so glad Athren was finally playing along, adding a little theater to pair with his punches. Finally, she'd get to know more about this man, and taste the stuff that got him to where he was! Liari leaned in, wide-eyed and excited as Athen proclaimed his backstory... or at least the outline of it anyway. He claimed how she could NEVER know him, the things he'd done, how she was WRONG, no matter WHAT she thought he was, that he was NOTHING like ANYTHING she'd ever faced. Once more, Liari raised a finger to stop him. "WAIT!" She YELLED, the sheer MAGNITUDE of her voice stopping the whole spiel! The world fell silent as if commanded by the Majin herself, her voice nearly scalping the heads of the tallest buildings! "I got five brains to work with. Let me guess: You did a lot of things you aren't proud of. I'm guessing since you're a Saiyan with such a... gruff and business-forward demeanor, shall we say, you killed a lot of people, some of which you regret. I'm assuming some of them were on Earth since you're here, now, not because you want a decent fight, or so you claim, but because, I'm guessing, you have some debt to pay. If I'm generous and assumed you're not, in fact, a coward, you were off training somewhere during my... play-sessions, trying to work out those funny feelings like... 'disgrace' and 'dishonor' while toughening yourself up to feel like you're making a difference, that somehow you could make up for all those people you killed." Liari paused, allowing her... assessment to sink in. She had drawn on her knowledge of Saiyans and their typical war-loving and prideful nature and paired the four additional brains (Changling and Saiyan) to come to her conclusion, their collective minds giving her quite a... varied perspective on good and evil. Obviously, Liari had no idea what the specifics of Athren's life were... but somehow, given how... PERSONAL this seemed to be to him, she thought she hit pretty close to the mark. The majin smiled widely, confident in her answer. "So tell me... How close was I?" The Majin coaxed. As their fight pressed on, Athren would question what Liari viewed as the spice of a fight, what actually made them FUN to her. Once she found a brief spot of respite, Liari would clear her throat... and answer. "What makes a fight FUN... isn't really the punchy-kicky bit of it." Liari began... before SHOOTING her hands out, as if to stop Athren from disregarding her out of hand. "Now hold on. I know this may seem radical to you Saiyans, but the fun comes from the barbs, the commentary, the battle of wits as well as muscle! After all, it's one thing to overpower a man... it's something else to destroy him mentally as well, right?" Liari smirked and glanced at Quash. There was more than one meaning to that statement for that guy. "So give it a try! TRY to hurt my feelings, would you Athren? ...At least give me something to parry with the insults I'm cooking up!" Athren... seemed shocked when Liari explained her motive for this. YES. She was bored. Of course, of course, simple logic, I know, but Athren seemed... almost ROCKED by this revelation. "...So let me get this straight," Liari beckoned, holding up her hands. "This whole mess would've been better in your eyes if I had a tragic, bone-chilling backstory like you, or if I wanted to conquer and enslave everyone in sight... rather than lure in someone for a fight? You would've wanted me to be a sad-sap or a tyrant... rather than someone looking to lure in a strong guy for a fight? You're kind of a bastard, aren't you?" The majin paused, letting that sink in. "...Because if I were the way you wanted me to be? That city would either be in flames or in chains if I win this. The way I am now, it'd be left alone. Perhaps a little scuffed up, maybe... but recoverable."
When Athren SCREAMED at the Majin about how NONE of these people deserved what they were going through, how their FAMILIES didn't... Liari's smile BLOOMED to life, SNAPPING her fingers in excitement! "HA! I KNEW IT! Okay, monkey. Whose family did you kill?" Liari waited for a response. If she didn't get one, she would continue. "Look, I'm going to just keep guessing if you don't answer. Brother's, sister's, friend's... yours...? I doubt it's that last one. All the minds in me are repulsed by the idea... but who knows? It's possible. Especially if you were rampaging about in that ridiculous monkey form of yours." As the fight continued, Athren found himself ENVELOPED in Liari's arm, entangled... then bombarded in ki-blasts. Overall, things seemed to be turning up aces for the majin! She had her prey where she wanted him, and he had no choice but to listen to her frustrations... All was well. When Athren threw them back at her, spitting how it's even WORSE not being strong enough to help the ones you love... Liari paused. Whatever sickeningly dark remark she would have fired back died in Liari's mouth, her smile drooping... Images of Ayu tied up in her own branches, begging Liari to beat her unconscious, trying to convince her it was for the best... Liari, that's enough...
In an instant, the perverse joy on Liari's face shattered into a million pieces, a shiver of shock... and fear arching up her spine. Liari's eyes shot wide, her jaw dropped... then clenched. Rapidly, regret, fear, and shock were masked in a wrapping of anger, her eyes flashing RED as she buried them beneath emotional magma. Not now... She would PAY for her decisions later but she wouldn't be stopped NOW! This fight was HERS. She DESERVED IT. She shot at a city of people and destroyed ANOTHER for this! ...She wanted this. No. It's NOT. Liari answered the strange voice, rage dripping from every word. I have waited TOO LONG for this. I NEED this. I WILL NOT BE DENIED ANY LONGER. Now GET OUT OF MY HEAD, WHOEVER YOU ARE.
Liari would turn her attention back to Athren who... seemed to be going through it right now. Did... did something she say actually hurt him? She observed the Saiyan curiously, a small vindictive grin spreading across her face. "Was I right? I was right, wasn't I?" Liari asked, coaxing Athren to spill it! "Come on, Monkey. I think I EARNED something. Give it to me. TELL ME. WHO DID YOU KIL-" ...And Liari would get it. With a scream of rage and pain unlike ANYTHING Liari had ever heard, Athren EXPLODED in a flash of golden light! THE shockwave caused the air around him to SNAP AND BURST outward in a flare of energy, the force of which being so mighty, the majin was THROWN BACK down towards the ground, SMASHING into the pavement so deep.... she made hole reminiscent of a snow-angel in the concrete! Liari let out a groan, pulling herself out of the her-shaped hole... then GASPED as the sheer, OVERWHELMING energy of the saiyan touched her senses! Liari's jaw dropped open in AWE, her arm sprouting from its stump, the remnants of her old one raining down around her! She spared them a glance, staring at them as if giving unspoken orders... before the pieces slithered into the rubble coagulating together beneath the surface. Looking back to Athren, he hovered over her like a god preparing to cast judgment, aglow in a radiant golden aura, sparks FLASHING ferociously around his figure! ...and the first thing this new god did... was criticize her. The game wasn't FUN because she was losing, huh? She wasn't a warrior, was that it!? SHE wasn't the strongest but he, as he introduced himself, ATHREN was!? Liari gritted her teeth, a flash of RAGE passing through her, denial, even... Then it all cooled to a slow, rolling simmer. "...Heh... So, it turns out you were hiding your power after all. I knew it." ...She didn't but moving on. "Interesting... I'm pretty sure your little display did more damage to the city than I did." She glanced down at the hole she had just (figuratively) dug herself into, then at the city itself. Indeed, that MASSIVE explosion of power had just about bitten into every single building within eye-sight! Some were about to collapse, others stood in defiance of the gaping wound in their bodies... others had been leveled entirely. ...Such was the way a god made his entrance. "...But let's not get too ahead of ourselves here. I too have been hiding my TRUE power. I had thought I'd spare the city after what you did to protect it... Good sportsmanship, you know?" She shrugged, then sighed. "But since you don't seem to care about it, I guess I'll just- HRRRRUUUNNNG!" Suddenly, the majin's chest EXPANDED, SWELLING UP TO SEVERAL DOZEN TIMES ITS NORMAL SIZE! She let out a scream as her arms SWELLED and ELONGATED to match her body, her legs and tail following suit! Suddenly, her head would SWELL OUTWARDS, then elongate to resemble a previously mentioned "ridiculous form," her tentacles writing around her radically as she towered over Athren. The already all, mighty majin... had become a FEARSOME GREAT APE! She let out a ROAR which blew back any surrounding buildings, roads and wires, leveling the landscape in her immediate area as her aura EXPLODED into life! "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUURGH! .....HehehAHAHAHAHAH! NOT WHAT YOU EXPECTED, WAS IT!?" The monster chortled... before SWINGING Her arm around, aiming to BACKHAND Athren across the planet-side, SWAT him like a fly! She would then chase after him, opening her mouth and firing a pair of twin blasts at the saiyan, aiming to encompass him and EXPLODE upon impact! "HHAHAHAHAH! LETS GO!"Whether or not these blows connected, Liari would RUSH after Athren, stamping past ruined buildings, people (whatever people are left) and warriors, cocking a hand back, charging a turquoise energy blast in her palm "...AND YOU CAN GO... STRAIGHT TO HELL! HAHAHAHAHA! TSUNAMI... CANNON... FIRE!" Liari would THROW her hand forward, FIRING a SKY-SCRAPER0SIZED beam from her palm, aiming to BLAST her new battle-buddy to DUST! ...And he was new, this Athren. She could fee it in her teeth. Oh, this was the PERFECT TIME... to let ALL her tricks loose! Just before the blast would have connected with Athren, the shape of the beam's head would transform into that of a shark, aiming to SNAP down on his arm before overtaking him entirely! if the blast connected, Athren would feel his arm TORN at by the ki, threatening to consume it in a matter of seconds!

Opherla had been in a state of shock from the past few moments of her ballsy attempt to land a blow on Quash. Firstly, HOW IN THE HELL DID SHE PULL THAT OFF!? That was something she shouldn't have been able to do and walk away from scratch free! She rushed in, landed blows, and got outta dodge like it was nothin'! She should have been dead! One punch would have taken her life! There was no reason for her to be breathing, let alone dusting off her weighted clothes and putting them back on right now!
Secondly, she felt like things were getting way out of hand. More chaos was happening all around her now. Quash and Callion's clash, Serena fighting by the side of Callion, Athren's transformation and... and... and...!
Was Liari... now a great ape!? What was going on here!? Now there was truly nothing left for Opherla to do. All places she had left to check, kaput, obliterated, gone. And now, Liari was going on an even worse rampage. An even worse attack, as it not only threatened Athren... it threatened this entire city.
Opherla couldn't help but look at everything happening... and tears began to form in her eyes as she dropped to her knees at seeing everything going on around her. All these powerful forces, clashing all around her, all these people stronger than her, fighting with everything they had.
And at the center of it all... little Opherla. Powerless. Nothing. A minimal force. A fledgling warrior.
A weakling.
Weakling...
That was all Opherla was in this current grand scheme of things, and it ate at her. She was afraid. She was angry. She was disheartened. She was crying in the midst of a battle. Everything she could have done... everything she worked and trained for... was for nothing. Nothing whatsoever.
Opherla couldn't help but sit in the middle of it all and cry for many moments, distraught at her own weakness and futility. She was nothing more than a fly against all these powers. Nothing more than just a measly little puppy in a horde of gnashing hound dogs. It was so demoralizing...
Opherla wasn't a warrior.
She was a failure.
She was a failed excuse of a protector.
Athren. Callion. Quash. Liari. Serena. Even Ayu.
They were all stronger than Opherla. They were all better fighters than Opherla...
And Opherla was nothing in their presence, nothing at all. Insignificant, unwanted, unappreciated...
Opherla knew her own home was not going to stand for long. She knew Liari would come for whatever cities alongside West City were still standing after South City was gone...
And Opherla had no time to prepare. No time to get stronger. No time to get anywhere close to where she needed to be to fight against these fearsome forces.
"Am I... just worthless?" Opherla asked herself as all of these thoughts ran through her mind. "Am I... so useless that I couldn't even save those people Liari just killed...? Am I... I'm just... I'm no warrior. I'm no Saiyan. I'm not worth anything. Yeah, that's right, I'm not worth a goddamn thing!" Opherla cried as she yelled in a mix of fury and agony, before she took to the sky, tears falling as she tried to get out of South City, well, the South City Ruins now, as fast as she possibly could with all she had left in her.
She didn't deserve to be here. She didn't deserve to continue this fight.
All she deserved was to be in a grave six foot under, or somewhere else entirely, either way... Opherla was not the warrior that Callion, Serena, Acsull, even Athren praised her to be.
She was just a puppy in this world.
And this puppy was too low on the totem pole to believe she even had a tiny inkling of a chance to become something great in this current time.
Maybe if she had come to Earth a few years earlier, maybe if she had stayed with her family and trained back on her home planet if it wasn't destroyed...
Opherla knew it clearer now than ever before. She was a nobody on Earth. And that wasn't going to change, not anytime soon. All motivation. All will to try and help, to try and get stronger... that was gone now.
Opherla was now convinced she would never catch up. Ever.

Serena Watched everything going on around her with amazement at all the power that was going on around her. She seemed so small in comparison as she charged her KI into her strongest blast she could muster and the knowledge that anyone of these beings could surpass it with barely any effort. It was maddening just how much power she did not have and there was nothing she could do to even get close to the other warriors. But She had to try to help as she could not allow anyone else to suffer and while her efforts were minimal. They did help even if just a little bit and that was all that mattered.
Suddenly she spotted the Green haired woman down below and she looked like she was in great despair. For some reason seeing her down there like that made Serena want to fly down to the woman and pick her up into a hug. Before she even realized it she had slightly shifted her course to do just that before she caught herself. She could not afford to be distracted from her own possibility as turning her back on them could prove to be a death sentence.
Suddenly she felt even more Power come from both battles that drew her attention back to them and she could only stare in wonder as the release of such power caused insurmountable destruction. This power was running through her hair making it stand on end and that's saying something as barely felt anything at all from it normally. She knew instinctively if she was any closer she might even get hurt and wondered if that is how the normal humans felt about her.
Before she could ponder too much though her eyes were brought back to Quash as he launched the biggest attack she had ever seen into callion. The Wind and Explosive fire almost blew Serena away making it hard to just stand her ground or air in this case. She barely held her Ki in her hand pulling a little more Ki into her hands. She looked directly At the man who had just launched such an attack, her eyes focused despite the fear running through her.
She stared at him for a full moment as she watched him try to catch his breath before suddenly her blood or whatever ran through ran Colder than arctic ice. He was looking right at her and she rather not wait to find out his plans for her. Almost in Sync with Quash the Majin fired her attack at him. “” Burning Bomber!!”” The aim was directly at Quashs face as he advanced on her. The force of her own attack sends her back flying through the air uncontrolled. But the Majin was taking no chances as she began to Rapid fire Ki blast after Ki blast at Quashs Ki signature. “”” SHIT SHIT SHIT!”” Serena could not help but scream out profanity in a panic as she tried to pull a fighting retreat from the drastically more powerful fighter.

Post by Callion on Feb 28, 2023 17:56:56 GMT -5
Blow after blow, Callion in his combined Super Saiyan and Kaio-ken form threw everything he had at Quash; his fellow Saiyan fullblooded kinsman who remained under the influence of Majin Liari, he was amazed in his own right that he was able to handle his own from the blows that he threw. It was enough for Quash's right hook to actually land on Callion's face just at the same time Callion's own fist collided with his. It was very clear, even though the Saiyan monk's life force was beginning to weaken that neither one was going to back down for a moment. Callion knew he had to end this fight quickly, or risk losing himself to exhaustion. Even if Quash was corrupted, Callion had to push through this madness of a battle before either one was going to be sent to the Otherworld, or worse, the casualties of the innocent Earthlings down below was going to skyrocket beyond incalculable numbers, and that was the last thing he honestly needed right now. Though there was one thing that the Saiyan Monk had that the warrior Quash did not: He already had the experience of death. He knew what happens after death. At this point, Callion no longer had a fear of death. Just Callion was about to engage and continue his fight with Quash, he could sense a power rising and building up inside of Quash, a very powerful attack that even Callion in his Super Kaio-ken form was going to have difficulty in handling, but no matter the challenge, Callion had to survive whatever blast that Quash was going to send his way. That was the moment that he sense the devastating and powerful attack that was the Corrupted Saiyan warrior’s Bok Choy Blast. Callion heard the Corrupted Saiyan scream from the top of his lungs, causing Callion’s eyes to widened to witness such a devastating and immensely powerful, red spial energy beam. The very beam itself was heading straight for Callion. If Callion were to dodge, his mind assumed that humanities way of life was going to meet an early and swift demise… Ayu, Opherla, Serena and the others was going to meet a similar fate if the Saiyan Monk were to fail. So he did the only thing that he could do. He was going to tank the entire blast that was heading straight for him. Callion closed his eyes for a moment, taking a slow deep breath in… The world around him felt once again heading in a slow motion pace, he could feel and hear the wind kissing his skin in slow motion, the very fabric of the air heating up from the arrival of Quash’s attack. As he opened his eyes, the Saiyan was going to show, why he was an exceptionally capable defensive style warrior in his own right. The Bok Choy Blast collided into Callion, causing a Catastrophic EXPLOSION of monumental proportions! The several shockwaves caused the glass windows throughout the vast, towering windows that didn’t collapse due to the ongoing battle between the two Saiyan warriors were either completely incinerated or shattered into pieces and fell to the ground like falling stars across the moonlight sky. The fiery kinetic explosion caused a 15-mile debris of smoke and ash. It looked as though that Quash had managed to do it and won the battle against Callion, but with the harsh winds that was starting to flare up, the smoke and dust soon left with the fate of Callion being revealed. He stood there… And took the full force of the blast, and looked as though it didn’t even hurt him, all that Callion had was the physical damage that he was suffering from his Super Kaio-ken form that was eating away at his health and power, and the blow to the face that he took from Quash’s punch. “This is getting out of hand.” Callion muttered from his breath, wiping away the blood that trinkled out of his mouth, He knew that he couldn't keep up the Super Kaio-ken form for much longer, as it was draining his life force and putting a massive strain on his body. But he couldn't afford to let his guard down, not when Quash had now fled and was heading straight for the Red Majin Serena, ready to continue his onslaught to attack those that were lesser in his eyes. No, Callion would not let this stand. “GET AWAY FROM HER QUASH! YOUR FIGHT IS WITH ME!!”
Callion roared with a blinding fury of his own power, his energy. The Saiyan monk’s power exploded with still very much fuel to the fire, his power continue to raise for the very thick of the moment, just as the same that he sense Athren, in all his glory and splendour shot his power level up through the roof in unison, but the later… that very Hybrid Saiyan warrior’s power… It was as though he pushed through and went into a level beyond a Super Saiyan… Was this… Super Saiyan 2? Callion remembered his training in Otherworld with King Kai, hearing the stories of the legendary Goku and Vegeta and how the two found ways to go beyond a Super Saiyan, with the one called Gohan; hybrid firstborn son of Goku having been the first to turn into a such an icon during the climatic battle against the Bio-Android known as Cell. Was this the very fabled power that Callion was sensing in all its glory? A moment of weakness took over Callion, as he turned to face Athren, seeing the very golden light. There it was… Athren in his Super Saiyan 2 form. Callion’s eyes widened, shocked at the sight before him. He had heard of the legendary power of the Super Saiyan 2, but to witness it firsthand was a different experience altogether. Athren's golden aura burned bright, his muscles bulging with power as he stood ready for battle. Callion could sense the incredible strength emanating from Athren, and he knew that this very battle that was happening on multiple fronts would not be an easy one, nor would be without consequence of one form or the other. For a moment, Callion hesitated. He had trained hard to reach his own level of power, but feeling the very power of a Super Saiyan 2 was a daunting task in of itself, such a sheer magnitude of raw emotion and energy was something that Callion was learning from this destructive war that was carrying on in South City at this very moment. However, he knew he could not back down now, Athren was still holding his ground with Liari, and Callion was doing the exact same thing with Quash, holding the line in his own right, making the very battle a lot easier for his fellow Super Saiyan. With a deep breath, Callion focused his energy, allowing it to flow through his body and build up to its full potential. Opherla the Hybrid Saiyan young girl… Serena, the Red Majin who Callion admitted whilst having only now just met and not trust her, the two had helped him, even now witnessing the Red Majin’s attack out of fear, continuing her assault, there was something admirable about fighting against Quash, something that Callion couldn't quite put his finger on. Perhaps it was her determination or her willingness to stand up and fight despite the odds being against her. As he watched the battle rage on from all sides – from Athren and Liari, to his own battle with Quash with the company of Opherla and Serena, Callion couldn't help but think about the consequences of the actions that is going on to this very City. The destruction and chaos that had ensued were a result of everyone’s own power and abilities, including Callion himself. He knew that those that were fighting in order to protect not just the city, but the very fate of the planet itself had to be careful and mindful of the collateral damage that could be caused, even if collateral damage was the least of their worries. It was a delicate balance, one that required to use their power wisely and with caution, something that Callion in this rare moment was starting to see a lot more clearly with calm eyes. But in the heat of battle, it was easy to forget about those consequences. The rush of adrenaline and the thrill of combat were too intense to ignore. Callion knew that he had to remain focused and keep his emotions in check, or else he risked losing control and causing even more damage. Even though he was willing and prepared to join Athren in the fight against the Majin Liari, Callion reminded himself of his purpose. He wasn't fighting for glory or power, but rather to protect those he cared about and to ensure that the innocent didn't suffer at the hands of their enemies, and right now his focus was on Quash. With that in mind, Callion charged forward, his power surging as he prepared to face off against Quash. He knew that the battle ahead would be intense and gruelling, but he was ready to face it head-on, with all the strength and determination he could muster. As Callion came speeding down in the pursuit to continue his battle against Quash, catching up to him with his own blinding speed and power, his eyes widened with a mixture of shock and now annoyance... Nearby, close to Ayu, he saw something or someone... A young boy carrying an Earthling boy in his arms... Was that a Saiyan child!? What in Kami's name was a Saiyan BOY doing in what was quite possibly the greatest danger the world had ever seen even DOING HERE!? Callion's anger and annoyance was rising, but he knew he couldn't let it distract him from the battle at hand. He had to stay focused, but he also couldn't ignore the presence of the Saiyan child. THAT was going to be a swift talk for another time, and hopefully one where he’d live to tell the tale when this entire madness was going to be over and maybe with Kami’s fortune, a lot of people were going to make it out of this accursed warzone alive. Though that was not the only face he saw. Ayu… Poor Ayu. Callion knew from his talks and quiet, peaceful moments with the female bio-android that she, like the Saiyan, were beings of peace. To see such destruction and lives being harmed, and even Majin Liari, who the two of them have taken their moments to be there for her. He could see the tears on her eyes from up here in the air, it was breaking his heart to see Ayu in such stress, and his fight with Quash suddenly seemed insignificant. If anything, the very instance of everything that was going on seemed to pale in comparison to her suffering. Callion remembered how she told him of her power having spiralled out of control and having killed people, along with having told her that she had to let go out such pain and have to move on with the lessons having being learnt since those days, while Callion knew that if she were to use her powers that could very well get out of hand and kill even more people, it would be disastrous, especially for her innocent mental state, and it was bad enough that Liari was not stopping from her onslaught and battle against Athren anytime soon. With all that said and done, this actually gave Callion an even further resolve to fight in order for Ayu to not use her powers, making sure that she wouldn’t get out of hand, and at the same time protecting the innocent people caught in the middle of this war. He knew that he had to find a way to end the fighting as quickly as possible, just so that all this madness could end in one form or another. And possibly, Callion was going to get that wish and possibly opportunity in one form or another. Callion; in his Super Kaio-ken stopped the moment he sense an unimaginable and gargantuan energy of such a monstrous calibre that he stopped in halfway pursuing Quash in order to try and stop him from fighting the others. That power level, that monstrous presence… It felt so Alien and yet damn familiar at the same time. “No… It can’t be…” Callion said quietly to himself, there was just no way in another possible explanation that he was sensing what he truly was right? That was the moment he heard and FELT that titanic roar and laughter emanating from the only entity that had the capability of such a transformation.. Liari.
Just as how he turned around to witness such a transformation with the Golden Light of Athren’s Super Saiyan 2, the Saiyan monk did so to turn and witness the terrifying and gigantic horror that was the Majin Liari… in a GREAT APE form of all things! Callion’s eyes drank in the very entity that he had feared for so long, a being that he knew could destroy entire planets with ease, and yet here it was standing before him in all of its monstrous glory. For a moment, Callion felt a sense of dread wash over him, wondering how he was going to be able to stop such a creature… How ATHREN in his new Super Saiyan 2 form was going to handle Liari.. Hell, how was ANYONE on this PLANET was going to be able to handle the titanic monster that the Blue Majin had become in this battle that, he could clearly see, was only NOW getting started. But then he remembered why he was here, and he steeled his resolve. He had to protect his friends, his planet, and the universe at large from this monstrous threat. Callion had to take a moment to think… Just how in the world did Liari managed to obtain such a power, it was impossible for a Majin to attain such power, let alone be able to transform into that of a Great Ape… But then it hit him, something that made complete sense and how everything all added up. West City…. The very place where Callion died at the hands of Liari… By being Absorbed by her. He remembered it clear as day, being with his Master Roshi in the search for his fellow student to meet for the first time; Kombu – a fellow fullblooded Saiyan like him and Quash… That was until Liari began her rampage in the city, back during the days where the Changeling brother Zero and Ryme were alive at the time and had total influence over her. When Kombu and Callion died by her hands and were absorbed into her body, allowing the Majin to completely become even stronger than she was right now, she must’ve found a way to access the Saiyan biology and unlocked the potential to become a Great Ape. This was Kombu’s fault…And this was also Callion’s fault. For the first time, Callion was horrified, realizing the unintended consequences of his actions from having died ages ago back at West City. He had been so focused on in trying to hold off against Quash’s own rampage from wanting to battle powerful opponents, that he had overlooked the potential dangers of the real threat that was Liari. By attacking her and forcing her to absorb him back at West City from such a long time ago at this point, he had unknowingly given her access to Saiyan biology and unlocked a power that could threaten the entire World and possibly beyond. Goodness knows the sheer capability Liari were able to do if she found her way on Planet Vegeta. The Saiyans could very well face a Second Frieza event that could send their species fighting against extinction! Callion took a deep breath and pushed the guilt and fear aside. He knew that he couldn't change the past, but he could do something about the present. He had to stop Liari before she caused any more destruction. But how was Callion going to be able to find the capabilities to take care of Liari – now in her Great Ape form of all things… That’s when he looked down to see Quash and the others… Quash… Callion had to find a way to slap some sense into the Corrupt Saiyan by any means. “This is over…”
Callion said with a growl, determined to talk Quash down and put an end to their fight. He even decided to FINALLY power down back to his base form, finally putting his body at ease. The battle that was now going to take place to put the very world in jepoady was beyond anyone, to run would be a wise choice, but Athren, with even his newly found Super Saiyan 2 form, couldn’t possibly be enough. The Hybrid needed backup, and Callion was going to give it to Athren. Callion flew back down with all haste, landing directly in the middle between the Red Majin Serena and Quash. “ENOUGH!!”
Callion’s voice roared, revealing a mighty bellow to ring out around everyone within their general vicinity, raising his hands up between both parties with Quash on one side and the Red Majin Serena, Opherla and the others on the other. Callion, now in his base form, turned to face Quash, his body badly bruised revealed the torment and suffering he had to go through whilst having been in his Super Kaio-ken form, now fully realised in his Base form. He began to try to talk to the Corrupted Saiyan; "Quash, listen to me. I know you're driven by your desire to battle strong opponents, but this isn't the way. Look around you, see the destruction you've caused. This isn't what it means to be a Saiyan. We're supposed to be warriors, but not mindless destroyers. You have to stop this before it's too late."Callion's voice was calm, but firm, as he tried to reason with Quash. He knew that it wouldn't be easy, but he had to try. “I know the old Quash that I knew and trained is still in there… I know that Quash wouldn’t be bound for the simple, primal desire of war and bloodshed. There is still that honourable fellow fullblooded Saiyan in there, and I am calling you out.”
Callion's words were no doubt going to be met with a mixture silence and also retort, but he could sense the tension in the air. He knew that his words would take time to sink in, but he was determined to make them understand the gravity of the situation. Suddenly, he heard a loud roar, and he turned to see Liari in her Great Ape form, towering over them all and the remaining standing buildings within the City, unleashing the torment that was her Tsunami Cannon. The Saiyan Monk remembered going against a power like that before back in West City, but nothing now like that sort of magnitude. Callion's heart sank, but he didn't let the fear consume him. He turned back to Quash and the others. "We don't have much time. We have to put our differences aside and work together to stop Liari. We need a Truce. Quash, I need your help. We have to take her down before it's too late.” Callion's voice was resolute, and he could feel the determination rising within him. He had to stop Liari, no matter the cost. With a fierce look in his eyes, he waited for Quash and the others to make their decision. Callion wanted to see if Quash, could fight his influence rage to see the figuratively, and now literally, larger picture that was the ever-present threat that was Liari in her Great Ape form. “A Saiyan always has their Pride. Liari may have taken your mind and body… But there is always one thing a Saiyan always keeps…”
“His Pride.”
Callion spoke to Quash with conviction, hoping to get through to him. He knew that pride was a driving force for many Saiyans, and he hoped that Quash would see that working together was the only way to protect that pride. He continued speaking, trying to reach Quash on a deeper level. "You're a proud warrior, Quash. I know that. But we have to put that pride aside for now and work together to stop Liari. She's a threat not just to all Saiyans, but to possibly every aspect of life on this planet, and we have to do everything in our power to protect our race, our way of life. Please, Quash, let's put our differences aside and work together. We can do this, together."Callion's words hung in the air as he waited for Quash's response. He knew that this was a crucial moment, and he hoped that Quash would see the wisdom in working with him and the others. The fate of their entire race was at stake, and they couldn't afford to let their pride get in the way. They had to come together and fight for what was truly important. Callion’s eyes finally turned to Ayu, letting out a sigh to look at her with soft, tired eyes. “Ayu… I need you to heal Quash and mend his wounds…”
The Saiyan monk spoke that was possibly the most surprising, even now, after going through one hell of an ordeal struggle, he requested Ayu to mend his opponents wounds for the even bigger battle to come. However, he was not done yet, Callion’s eyes then turned to the Saiyan boy… Celric.
Callion’s eyes glared with anger and also a strict discipline, whether this Saiyan boy may have helped an earthling boy in his own tuition was brave, like Opherla, but it was foolish for the sole reason that the child was weak, incapable for fighting on a level like the hybrid beastfolk. “And as for you… Boy.”
The Saiyan Monk eyes glared at the child hybrid. “Go home and get out of here now. Do as I tell you right now, before I lose what little sense of reason I have left.”
To say that Callion’s patience and reason for a Saiyan child that he had only now just met was rare, and to scold a boy he didn’t know whose parent was none other than Athren himself was entirely something else, but someone had to discipline and straighten out the boy, and it was going to be him. Callion’s words were cold, even by his standards, but he knew that the situation was dire, and there was no room for weakness or distractions. He needed everyone to be at their best to have any chance of stopping Liari and saving their world. To save one life, even a Saiyan child… Callion was more than willing to go back to the Otherworld and back to make sure even a child life was protected. But he knew that there were bigger stakes at play, and sacrifices had to be made to ensure the safety of everyone. With a deep breath, Callion turned to face Ayu and Quash. "We have to move fast. Liari won't wait for us to come to her. We have to find her and stop her before she can cause any more destruction, and I don’t think Athren will be able to handle her long forever, even with the immense power that he has in his possession."
He looked at Quash, hoping that the Corrupted Saiyan had made a decision to put aside his pride and work with them. "Are you with me, Quash? Will you help us save our world? Will you accept my Truce?"Callion's eyes were filled with determination and a hint of desperation. He knew that they were running out of time, and the fate of their world rested on their shoulders. He could only hope that Quash and the others would join him in this fight.

“It’s no use! I’ve had just about enough of you!” Quash flew STRAIGHT THROUGH the blast that the red majin launched at him. His velocity had only slowed for a moment before speeding up again, eager to catch the warrior trying to flee. As she sent more ki blasts his way, he kept taking them, wanting to show how inevitable her fate was. There was no running from him. Suddenly, a voice appeared in his head. At first, he thought it was just the whispers again, but this time it was actually a familiar one. She had sounded older than before, but it was definitely the same girl he spoke to in the forest all that time ago. It looked like she had remembered her conversation with him well. She began to bring up all sorts of stuff that he told her before, but things were different now. He wasn’t the same, just like she wasn’t. More than anything though, he was annoyed that someone else was in his mind. It was crowded enough as it was, and the whispers were responding to the emotional vulnerability that he was feeling from her words. And it was quickly pushing him to the breaking point. ‘I’m only going to say this once. Get out of my head.’ While he didn’t directly respond to Ayu at all, he would be lying if he said it didn’t make him feel uneasy. He had almost completely forgotten about why he was originally here in the first place. Had he proved the USD right? Was he just a mindless beast? A dirty monkey? It wasn’t a good feeling. Not only that, but something else she said bothered him. It was her reference to the hardship he was going to overcome. He had to get stronger, he had to restore the saiyans back to their former glory… right? This was just a detour, a bump in the road… Right? Callion’s voice was heard from behind him! Not only was he still kicking after the Bok Choy Blast, but his energy was still nearly just as high as it was before and it was coming toward him. Really fast. Quash had a look of complete disbelief as he continued to pursue Serena. He put nearly all he had into that last attack, and the damned monk was barely fazed! After he finished off this majin, he was going to have to find some other way to deal with him. ‘It’s too late for that,’ Quash thought, ‘Your chance for a one on one is over. I’m going to end all of you right n-’ A massive bright light illuminated the entire area around him. The energy that suddenly emerged on the battlefield caught even his attention, causing him to slow down his pursuit as he looked back at what was happening. The stranger from before, he had undergone some kind of…transformation? To be honest, Quash wasn’t aware that there was a higher level above this form in the first place. The Super Saiyan form was already a legend to begin with, and now, whether it was because of this weird “dark energy” he had or not, the man that decided to go toe to toe with Liari had already surpassed even that. ‘You’re kidding. A level beyond Super Saiyan….?’ For a moment, Quash actually thought this crazy bastard was actually going to put the bubblegum menace down for the count, though the latter would soon show why exactly she lasted this long. Just like in the tournament that was quite some time ago, her power had begun to grow larger as she transformed into the Great Ape. Stealing the signature power of the Saiyan Race for her own silly games, it was just as insulting then as it was now. On top of that, her power had even surpassed that of the Super Saiyan 2. It looked like the fight wasn’t as decided as the former Captain had previously thought. ‘Figures, I knew it was too good to be true. It always is… isn’t it.’ Maybe it was too late after all. The time to do all this was months ago. She had grown too strong now. Despite the fierce battle he was having with Callion, he was once again reminded of where he stood on the pecking order. He had fought her on more than one occasion, and each time he lost. Now, not even the other saiyans of legend could match her might. Hell, nobody could. The world was practically hers to command. His body came to a screeching halt as Callion suddenly appeared between Serena and him. Holy hell, the monk sure could yell. The corrupted saiyan had to cover his ears, greatly disturbed by the sheer volume of his command to stop. Quash got into his fighting stance right after, ready to take whatever Callion was about to throw at him! He was going to have the perfect response to… The monk was in his base form? This would NOT stand. Yes, Liari’s battles with the other saiyan were impressive, but that didn’t mean that they had to stop! Quash was not going to let this fight go unfinished! “Callion, what do you think you’re-” Quash didn’t even get a chance to finish what he was saying. His enemy, in his battered and bruised state, was trying to talk some sense into him. Even now, after all of this, he was still concerned about the people and his former student. He decided to hear him out. After all, the sooner he could stop talking the sooner they could get back to fighting. Only… something unexpected had occurred. As Callion said, Quash began to look around. He saw the devastation their battle had caused. He saw the battle ongoing between the Super Saiyan 2 and Liari, the destroyed homes belonging to the evacuated people, he looked at himself, seeing the wounds he had sustained on his body and the ones that Callion had. All of this for what, just because someone was bored and they had to entertain them? His words were touching, causing Quash to think back to the good ol’ days when his greatest concern was trying to find Earth Saiyans to overthrow King Braccus back on Planet Vegeta. He remembered his initial fight with some strange man that he couldn’t remember the name of, meeting Jorey, getting a cat after some particular shenanigans with a certain namekian, meeting Liari for the first time, learning how to use the staff from Callion, slaying dinosaurs left and right. But maybe the good ol’ days weren’t so good either. He also remembered the bad times. Waking up one day to find that he had trashed the USD and had shaken relations between Vegeta and Earth, the nightmares after his multiple fights with Liari, desperately trying to get stronger, not for himself, but to get back at her. He still remembers the soreness he felt as he trained endlessly for the rematch he’d eventually have against her. And the whispers… the whispers that tormented him ever since he was cursed. They never stopped. Even now, they were pressuring him to keep going. Keep attacking. Don’t stop. Never stop. He thought back to the desperate attempts of Orphela and Serena to stop him. In a way, he saw him in them. He remembered fighting Liari in the desert alongside Jorey, and it was a similar experience. The terror fighting someone who had overwhelming power, who lacked all reason and restraint, who was reduced to nothing more than some rabid animal- Wait a minute. ‘Oh shit.... I’ve become Liari.’ Looking back Callion to hear his final words, Quash realized that he was right. A saiyan was much more than this. HE was much more than this. Had nothing changed from Planet Vegeta? He was supposed to be better. MUCH better than this. He was destined for great things, and this was NOT one of them. He had shamed Liari for shifting blame from herself, and he had been doing the same thing with Callion. No one asked Quash to take on the responsibility of his master’s death, he did that on his own. He couldn’t take the heat, and these were the consequences. A saiyan owns the choices they make. However, this realization was met with some resistance. The more the monk talked to him, the louder the whispers began to get. They were responding again. Between his teacher and the hold the curse had on him, he couldn’t even hear himself think. Quash bent over and grabbed his head, trying to get the voices to stop. He could hear her stupid voice in his head, trying to get him to do as she wanted. ‘Listen to me…’ He told his inner voices. ‘Listen to me…’ ‘Listen to MEEEE NOW…’ The voices had soon reduced to a dull whisper, and he looked up at Callion with tired eyes. As he went to scold the boy, and the fact that a kid was still here was something else, Quash looked back at Ayu, who Callion had just told to heal him. It was a good thing he said her name because the former Captain definitely still had trouble remembering. “That won’t be necessary, Ayu.” Fighting with this damage he sustained felt right. This was his way of taking responsibility for not acting sooner. Seeing Callion had turned back toward him and asked him one more time for his help, Quash sighed and his facial expression began to soften up. “I can’t believe I let myself get used again…” He walked up to Callion with his hand stretched out, like a handshake. “Alright, I’ll accept your truce for now. I’ll help fight.” Suddenly, when he got close enough, a Ki blade would extend out of the same hand, aiming for Callion’s torso! It wouldn’t kill him, as Quash made sure to miss any place that might lead to permanent injury, but it would definitely take him out of fighting shape. “But this isn’t your fight anymore. Whether you’re dead or alive, it has to be me this time. I’ve already taken the burden off your shoulders a long time ago.” He’d retract the blade, looking back toward Ayu. Callion just got back, there was no way he was going anywhere again. “Get him out of here and then heal him in whatever way you were planning to.” He’d look back at the Great Ape Liari, who looked like she had Athren on the ropes. Sure, maybe the stranger would be able to pull something out of his ass and win, but why take the chance. Especially since she might manage to absorb him, making her even more of a threat than she already was before. He couldn't let that happen. “I’m going to finish this fight. See you soon, Callion.” Quash took off toward Liari and the stranger, who were locked in battle with one another. He could tell how much more powerful they were than him. Even still, he refused to retreat. He had enough of that already. The closer he got to the two of them, the stronger the influence began to take hold. The veins on his body began to bulge even more, and the whispers began to turn into yelling. There was a slightly insane look in his eye now, as it was PAINFULLY obvious that he was trying desperately to fight the temptations. His whole body was shaking at this point, a pressure being exerted throughout the entire skull that gave him a SPLITTING headache. ‘When did it happen? When did I become a mere puppet for others?’ Quash flew straight after Liari, trying to stop her before he made another saiyan’s life hell. When he got close enough, he’d fly to Athren’s side and would now be at eye level with the majin who had started it all. He had to take a moment to gather himself, fighting her control at all times. “Liari… It’s over.”
The tone of his voice was almost absent He dug his fist into the palm of the opposite hand. “Right here, at this moment, it ends. All of it.” Quash began to charge his ki, his energy began to rise as he was mentally preparing what he thought would be the final battle. He looked over to Athren. Based on the little information he had about him, he doubted he would listen to him if he told him to beat it so he could fight Liari alone. Instead, Quash decided that he’d have to back him up. The ape was stronger than both of them, but with their combined power they might be able to stop her. He really hoped the Super Saiyan 2 could play nice with others. “You. Whether you like it or not, I’m here to help. Just don’t get in the way.” Quash told him, looking back at the majin in front of him. This was Liari's world, there was no doubt about it. It was time to take it back. WC: 2224 TWC: 7024

Even before Athren unleashed the Super Saiyan Two form, Liari had words to counter each and every one of his questions, his points. It seemed like she wouldn't shut up, to her this was truly all just a game and the talking added to the fun? For somebody who claimed to have saiyans inside of them, that was rather hard to believe. Though everything before he transformed was now overshadowed, even if he heard it, and listened, the dynamic of this entire thing had changed and all of those words had now become fully relevant. There had been only one thing important moving forward and that was to end this fight and put Liari in the ground. With his new found power, the Saiyan-Demon was more than capable of making it happen.
If her words had any weight at all, it was the simple fact of his own contribution of destruction to the city. Though it wasn't exactly the most appropriate thing for him to do, he didn't have a choice. He could only hope that enough people had been evacuated by this point that the casualties were minimal but in the end, even that didn't much matter. He was going to fix the Earth with the Dragon Balls, revive those of Orange City, and revive all those killed by Liari and himself. They'd all come back to life, but he couldn't help but think that MAYBE it was time to try to take this fight outside of Earth, maybe take it to a place he knew best, but he wouldn't show off his trump card yet, and he wanted to wait for the right moment to take her by surprise with his little plan.
"Do you EVER shut up..!?"
This creature seemed to have the mind of a child, their source of entertainment far off from that of any true warrior. Here she was, causing death and destruction with a little childish fit because nobody wanted to fight her. Pathetic, absolutely pathetic. She spent more energy talking than she did fighting, and Athren still couldn't help but think it was simply due to the fact that she couldn't win. Her words were her last line of defense to protect her all-so-fragile ego in the face of defeat. This game was over, it was just a matter of time. Though the talking continued and this time.. it held a little bit of weight, they weren't just empty pointless words to fill the gap in between the fists hitting her face. She had been hiding her true power as well..
And as SOON as she had finished her words, a sound escaped her lips as her body began to expand out, swelling and evolving into a MUCH larger figure. Though it wasn't something Athren hadn't ever seen before, to see a Majin have this type of transformation was interesting and while it was happening, he didn't know what the final product would look like, but he didn't flinch, he didn't do anything else but give a cold stare while his opponent took her new form, and when it was finally complete. He couldn't help but let a cold chuckle escape his lips.
"Pathetic, really."
Her arm came swinging around rapidly, the large hand coming around to SMACK the super saiyan across the city. He wasn't going to let that happen, he'd quickly dodge it by flying up and out of the way of the incoming strike. As far as her power level went, it was basically on par with his own as a Super Saiyan Two now, which didn't quite concern him. What would have made him feel any sort of pressure was her size. Though he had fought many Oozaru's, their size made it difficult to navigate the best path to deliver damage and in this situation, he had already cut out the option of removing the tail, simply because of the way he had seen her body shape and shift to fit her own needs. Surely she'd just reattached it at this point, and he doubted it would have any sort of long-lasting effect anyway. She wasn't a Saiyan, even if she was TRYING so hard to be.
"What a CHEAP knockoff. It doesn't matter how many Saiyan's you claim to have. You'll NEVER be one, you'll never be a TRUE warrior. You unleash this power thinking it would IMPRESS me?! All you did was confirm what I already knew, You're nothing more than a child having a little tantrum, doing anything they can for attention."
Though like an Oozaru, she had sent TWO blasts from her mouth and given the distance between them, Athren had little time to react. "UMHP!" A grunt escaped his lips as the TWIN blasts SMOKED him and sent him BLASTING down towards the Earth's surface. As he descended, smoke would be rolling off his body, his clothing more destroyed than before. His pants ripped and tore in the knees and multiple other spots, while his shirt was mostly gone aside from what had been under the armor. His wristbands had managed to stay on, though quite damaged as well. Ready to be torn off at a moment's notice.
His BODY hit the ground as it bounced off and skipped like a rock on water, the force of his impact leaving noticeable damage to the ground and forcing dust and debris to lift into the air. Though as his body was about to hit the ground once more he placed his hand down on the ground and sprung himself up and set himself straight in the air before flipping and landing on his two feet, with Liari charging him the way she was he had to think fast and figure out how to defeat this large creature. Though she was the size of the mighty Oozaru, this wasn't going to be like fighting an Oozaru at all. This was going to take some thought, some strategy, some tactics he'd never used on an Oozaru before. No matter what it would take, Athren was going to win this. There was no failing now.
Athren would move rapidly towards his rushing opponent, though he stayed close to the ground and behind him would be the perfect image of him left behind. His Nova Image technique was quite basic, but effective in certain situations and this might have been one of those situations. He used the dust and debris as the perfect cover to move, he closed the gap and stopped as Liari kept rushing forward. Her hand raising up as she unleashed a devastating blast towards where he was standing. The blast alone being MORE than enough to wipe out the rest of the city, but Athren couldn't have predicted that and there was no stopping it now. With the blast hitting the ground and ERUPTING a large portion of the city in a big BLAST, Athren would have made his move.
Athren would use Liari's momentum of her charge to assist him with getting up close, he'd leap up off the ground and cock his fist back as he was closing in towards the Majin's stomach. "RAH!" He grunted as he tossed his Nova Punch forward, hoping to PUNCH right through Liari's stomach. If he was successful, he'd try to do his best to punch right through and break out the other side of her. Though he wouldn't stop moving, he'd keep flying to gain some distance. Regardless of whether or not the punch were to land or not, Athren would do his best to gain some distance and get to safety. After all, another warrior had just decided to get involved with the fight and he could sense that Callion's power level had lowered. He didn't know what it meant for sure, but he assumed that it wasn't good. Did Quash actually manage to defeat Callion?! He assumed he'd be fighting BOTH Liari and Quash now, but Quash had a different plan. Not only was Quash challenging Liari, but he told Athren NOT TO GET IN THE WAY? Who the fuck did he think he was? This wasn't HIS fight, he didn't belong here, nor was he strong enough to take this kind of an opponent. The beatings MUST have gone to his head, because he was talking absolute stupidity. Athren would close the gap between him and Quash, flying over to him and stopping near, though keeping his attention on Liari. He had some quick words to exchange with this fool.
"This isn't your fight. You're only going to get in MY way and slow down her defeat." Athren paused for all but a brief moment..
"If you WANT to be useful, deflect blasts away from the people or help them get out. Otherwise, you're useless here. You're simply just not strong enough, and I don't NEED you slowing me down."
Athren suspected that Quash wasn't exactly going to go along with this, but he gave him a verbal warning. If Quash were to interfere here and take away everything that Athren had worked for, he'd be laying in the dirt next. It was just how it was going to be. Though, while Athren awaited Liari's next move, he sensed out for Callion to see exactly what the situation was like. He was still alive, but his energy was VERY low. He was either fully suppressed or wounded. It did raise some concerns, but he still couldn't figure why Quash was suddenly on their side, wanting to fight against Liari.
"If I fail. You can finish her off but until then, she's MINE."
With that being said, Athren had given Quash his ONE option to fight Liari without it seeming like an interruption. If Athren were to fail, if he were to go out and die. Then it would be open game, but until then. Liari was his. He had trained too hard preparing for this moment for Quash to come and take it away, the emotions Athren had felt, the look in his boys eyes. Athren HAD to be the one to do it. He knew that deep down, he had it under control. Though Liari had been rather smart and unique with the way she fought, Athren had been handling the situation perfectly. There was no reason to doubt himself and this new transformation.
Though there had been very HIGH stakes, he wanted to test this new found power up to the fullest. He wanted to see what this Super Saiyan Two form could really handle. Liari, would fit that bill perfectly in this Oozaru form. Though he thought she was a joke in the way she represented herself, he power was there. It was raw and capable of giving him a test, giving him a fight. He'd rely on his skill to push through on this one, his years of experience, his dedicated training. He was winning this thing. For his Celric, Cress, for everybody.
This monster was going to be sent to hell, there wasn't anything Liari could do to save herself from his wrath. The super saiyan two was here, Athren's saiyan side was on full display. There wasn't going to be any mercy, no second chances. This was going to end one way, and one way alone. Liari would have to die. It was just a matter of time until it happened, and until Athren had gotten it to that point, he'd need to wear her down and set her up for the PERFECT execution of an attack to finish this. He wasn't going to be sloppy, and he damn well wasn't going to settle for anything less than perfect. When he decided to make that final blow, he was going to make sure it was more than enough, and that it left her completely helpless, and of course, he'd want to see the fear in her eyes before she faced death.

"Please, d-don't..." Ayu's voice softened to nothing but a pained whisper.
She didn't have to look to sense what was happening. The flash that illuminated the area was cold and ominous. The shivers started crawling under her skin when a frightening, blood-curling roar resonated through the city - whatever wasn't yet broken, got destroyed now. The steps were so loud they felt like mountains moving... And here Ayu saw Liari turning into something she never wished to see Bluebell as - a monster. It wasn't about her giant ape-like form, it never was about her appearance but how she carried herself. Amused. Having the time of her life. Enjoying herself through the mayhem. Drunk with power and the thrill of the fight while everything else was pushed away from her mind. Maybe there was bloodlust and desire to kill, to destroy, to... Anihillate. The city was being destroyed with the auras clashing and raising, sweeping away whatever was left in their path... Creating more fissures with their every move but of course, that couldn't be helped right now. As much as Liari's opponent was trying to keep her away from fleeing people there was not a shred of consideration toward others in her. Ayu could see it. She was able to sense it... The rampaging duo was dancing in a deadly fight, their every move affecting the city, the people - everyone. To defeat Liari would mean going all out, accepting every side effect and destruction that came with that - and Majin was aware of that. Maybe even mocking the warrior for holding back for the sake of civilians until now... Right, it just felt possible. Every dark scenario and nightmare script seemed to be coming to life today, mocking Ayu's hopes.
Liari's power exploded and she turned into a violent element of destruction. How could Ayu stop her at this point..? She couldn't prevent it and now South City was close to being wiped out from the face of the Earth. She should move, she should fight, she should be doing something, anything... And here she was, on her knees, not moving from the same spot because her strength and spirit were leaving her body. There was nothing else but clenched teeth and silent weeps. The guilt of not taking any actions was seeping into the conviction that Ayu couldn't possibly do anything that would matter here - resulting in waves of paralyzing sorrow and self-loathing. It was suffocating. Her trembling fingers held onto the ground, digging into the remains of the road. When her strength failed her, Ayu leaned down on the dirt, trying her best to stop the anxious, raspy breaths that started to seethe inside her lungs. The vision blurred, and noises were starting to sound distant... Her nails broke when she desperately tried to hold on to the ground. They snapped so easily as if they were made out of fragile shells, and dark pink lines of blood marked the asphalt when Ayu curled her hands into fists. She couldn't even bring herself to cry out loud. Any attempt at calming down wasn't going to work... And the panic that was leeching on her mind was merciless.
"I beg y-you, please... " she whispered once again, pressing bloodstained fists against her chest, closing her eyes in feeble hopes that the pressure will fade away. That the fights will stop. The heart was struggling so much like a scared bird trapped in a cage, the beating hitting against her ribs in an arrhythmic pattern. Ayu wanted to get up but her legs weren't listening. She needed to move but it was hard to take another breath. So pathetic... Like always. "S-Stop, please," she could repeat it as much as needed until her throat would dry out completely. But what was the point? No one was listening to her plea anyway. Her voice won't reach Liari - even if it did, there was no guarantee that she would even hear her out. Wasn't it all too useless at this point..?
Why did she even come here in the first place..?
"Please, i-it's-" Ayu weakly prayed but her request died muffled in the call that was ordering reason and a moment of understanding.
Enough.
Callion's voice echoed through the area like a loud ringing of a war bell, carrying his sincerity and solemnity of the situation through the battlefield. Ayu... Slowly took another breath. The sudden sound sobered her mind a little, enough so she could shakily sit back on the ground. Her head was as heavy as if it was filled with lead. Though she barely lifted herself, the tiredness started to dull her senses, her empty gaze stopped at the bloodstained fingers. Drops of dark pink, almost magenta-colored ichor dirtied her clothing but she didn't mind that at all.
At this very moment, Ayu couldn't tell what she was feeling anymore. Unusual, wasn't it? She realized this without any astonishment but with a sense of weariness, silently letting her mind wander. Was it fear or pain or despair that brought her to her knees..? Hope? Love? Maybe worry..? Liari was rampaging, people were dying, and she wanted desperately to do something... To be of some use. All the emotions she was familiar with and could sense so intensely a second ago have currently melted into one amalgamation - and they started to drown each other out. A blank page eventually turns black when there are too many scribbles filling white spots. Ayu calmed down - the noise inside her head grew too loud turning every feeling into a uniform, torpid hum and now she couldn't distinguish one thing from another. A detached, twisted moment of serenity among this ongoing chaos.
"That's funny..." Ayu murmured to herself weakly, an empty chuckle raising her chest for a brief second. The look on her face from mortified mellowed down to exhaustion, though a sad smile quickly faded away from her face. Dirt and the lines that marked where her tears were flowing didn't bother her anymore. The Saiyan declared the same thing she wanted to say - the thing Ayu was trying to tell them all since the beginning. Since the fight started and lives were lost. Since... She tried - yet her voice was too small, too soft, and too meek. That was funny, so hopelessly, so uselessly comical that even with her power she couldn't find the strength to speak up and make people listen. Ayu just wasn't strong enough. She would never bear any unfavorable feelings towards Callion but right now the difference was rubbed into her face and it hurt. Her voice couldn't be heard. What was the cause? Confidence? Energy? Presence..? Her eyes burned from tears but their flow started slowing down, and the gaze of pale eyes was becoming numb, dazed. All this time... Ayu talked, she pleaded, and she begged. She tried. Gods know how much she tried... And they didn't listen. She never meant to order or force anything, simply wishing for others to consider what she said and yet it never worked. She was hopeful - and maybe that was her fault.
Celric wouldn't hear her out. People would turn their heads away, suspicious, only accepting her aid when it was clear that there was no other choice. Ayu thought it was alright as long as they were safe. The man she wanted once to call her grandfather never bothered to care, and didn't even wait to listen to her grief, clearly showing that it had no meaning to him. And finally... Ayu poured her heart out in front of Liari more than once. She hoped to - if not understanding Majin to the fullest - she could support and help her. They talked their troubles out. They shared worries and fears, explained their thoughts and dreams, cried together, they were for each other when needed, and... And Bluebell still went out there and did the very same thing Ayu asked her not to do. Fighting was one thing - but killing? That was the most bitter pill she had to swallow. Despite how hard she tried, she couldn't make a difference in Liari's life. Were her words always so meaningless? Was what Ayu was conveying so useless... That they didn't even bother..? Let alone care. Looking at what Liari did, whatever they talked about has long ago flown away with the wind, being left behind as a mere, bittersweet memory of a time they shared once.
When Ayu's emotions started to run amok there were no more tears, only the numbness was growing fiercer.
A name. She barely heard the voices calling her now. One of two fights stopped, a brief comfort that merely was noticed by her strained mind. Others talked. Celric backed away and flew in the direction of the bridge, which Ayu witnessed with a faint sense of gratitude. Opherla and Red Majin were saying something. Callion and then Quash called her name but she couldn't distinguish any other words, the noise was simply too loud. Her head was starting to hurt. Ayu stood there in the same place... Wait, when did she get up from her knees? Where did she find the force inside her to do so... No, no, it didn't matter. Through a fog inside her head, a moment too late, Ayu noticed a familiar signature drastically lowering. Her eyes widened in disbelief when she saw the Ki blade disappearing in Quash's hand, and her face paled. The gushing blood, Callion collapsing... She was already frozen in place, dazed with everything she felt and now the world was twice as heavy. The only thing she could do was soften the fall. A thick bed of moss and soft grass sprouted in the blink of an eye, saving the warrior from at least close contact with the cold and cracked ground. The emerald blades were slowly getting stained by dark blood when Quash rose above the ground, and for a second this area turned silent.
She couldn't move.
Everything was happening so fast but for whatever reason - the world slowed down. It was quiet. Liari was gathering energy for an attack, the blood was dripping from Ayu's hands. Life froze. The dust in the air moved so slowly, she could easily follow it with her eyes... But was that the world? Or while standing face to face with a crisis Ayu's survival instinct kicked in, accelerating her thoughts? It was like a frame just paused and everything around stopped moving.
Not like it was important to her right now.
Why? Why?
Callion once again was dying - this time in front of her eyes... Who was next? Liari? She was about to kill them all. The Saiyan and Quash were determined to exterminate her in every sense this word held and the fight could prove too much for Bluebell. What if the warriors would perish during this battle? What if in the end, they will end up killing each other..? What if the stray blasts would hit Opherla or the other Majin, what if the impact will get everyone, what if-
What if they all were going to die..?
If anyone near would keep quiet and listen carefully, they would hear the sound of Ayu's shell cracking... Or maybe it was her heart breaking down once more.
Standing in the middle of the horrors of South City it was like Ayu couldn't get fazed anymore. Her mind went blank. Blasts that were fired in every direction were suspended in the air, their lights reflected in her expressionless eyes. The energy Liari was gathering in her palm was about to unleash and the amount of force was enough to wipe them out all - now it just looked like a still bubble of turquoise Ki in her blue hand. The winds and impacts were no longer pulling her clothes and braid, not like she would flinch for that. The smell of fire, smoke, and sweat has drenched the area. Blood was lazily gathering at the tips of her broken nails and the hum... The sounds of explosions weren't there because the steady noise was growing inside her head, overpowering every sense. Pulsing. Revolting. Ayu breathed slowly, fighting with pressure as strong as iron that was holding onto her chest. It was painful... The power heated her body, allowing steam to raise from the pores. Sweat glued locks of her hair to her skin, though not even a wail escaped her lips. She was done crying. She couldn't cry - it never helped anyone. And if she stays the way she was, she won't be able to do anything.
The air around her - a lone silhouette - seemed to grow heavy. The particles of dust and stray sparks were caught up in something, suspended in the middle of their movement... The anticipation accelerated the tension in Ayu's blood. Something was bound to happen - in a fraction of a second that felt like an eternity, Ayu grew up to a decision. A sinister foreboding was clawing onto her throat, the area near her was so dense with Ki that the uncertainty started soaking through the wrecked ground. The pain in her heart only rose. Feelings weren't made to be held inside but if that was the only way right now... It could hurt - so be it. She knew it. Ayu recognized this state right away - with the same ominous loud noise filling her ears. Right, it wasn't so scary when it was happening for the second time... Her heartbeat once again was so powerful it deafened everything else, raw fire spread through her body and a taste of blood tinted the tongue. Just like it did before, back in the wastelands.
"Enough."
The ground roared and broke, freeing green vines and brown branches as thick and massive as city buildings. Through magic and Ki, the plant's organic matter was malleable enough to twist and bend, shooting from the soil like a countless number of snakes. The tree bark swelled hardening with Ayu's energy, expanding to cover as much area as possible. They all were aiming at one thing - opposing Liari's blast that with a booming sound flew towards the rest of the South City Island. The attack was going to mercilessly obliterate the place, and what's worse, it was rushing towards the north area. Where the bridge Ayu made was. Where people were escaping. That couldn't happen, could it? The vines were coursing straight into the center of the blast. There was a mild explosion, as the plants tried to swallow the attack... Twisting and turning like a net that had to catch every last bit of fired power. There was a clash and impact that made the dust soar in the air and... That was it. When the smoke settled, it was clear that the vegetation burned down almost to the ground while trying to cancel out Liari's cannon. Only sad, black, and burning stakes bigger than skyscrapers were poking from the ground. They filled their purpose. And perhaps more was waiting for them soon.
There weren't any fireworks. No blasts of light, no trembling ground nor an aura so strong that it could blow away half of the city. No. Not even a single flower grew between the cracks without her intent. The air around Ayu started to move again as if released from invisible clutches. It blew gently, the invisible breeze constantly playing with her hair and clothing, carrying along the sparks from nearby blazes. Her eyes were closed, her posture straight. For a moment blood filled Ayu's mouth and the pain held onto her chest so mercilessly she struggled to take her breath... But no more. The pressure in midair started to increase and flew through the area, silent, raw, pure - like a dam collapsed but the raging water was nothing but a mild and soft air current. And for once... Ayu wasn't trembling anymore. The energy was here, unpolished and ready. The sides of her face and dirtied fingers lit up with a glowing pattern like many times before. This transformation ached deep in her bones, but the pain was only that - pain. It will take over her only if she allows it. The control... Was there too. This time it was her choice to withstand everything that this power carried - by any means necessary. After all, Dende said that her body changed to match the energy within her, not the opposite.
Ayu was so fed up with tears and hopelessness that a quiet resolve was born. The tragedy from before won't repeat itself anymore. If there will be any sight of her losing control - Ayu was ready to end her life to avoid that. But now... She needed to do what she had to.
The only tears she had were those stubbornly holding onto her eyelashes, her face calm and exhausted from all those emotions, from feeling so much that... With everything that happened her heart went numb. Which in all absurdity and painful truth - helped. Ayu's quiet, tranquil energy was akin to the smooth surface of the water, unbothered by any wind and disturbance. And yet - that was merely the surface. The powerful currents and the hidden depths like the devastating feelings inside here were twisting within. It was easy to say that something distressed was there... But could anyone look so deep? Ayu couldn't think about it - she was sure that if she'd try to focus on her emotions, she would break. The last thing she was going to allow herself to be was a hindrance to others. If to make this form work she had to prolong this impassive, pained state then... Then if everything she felt - from her anxiety to hope - was getting locked into the box at the bottom of her heart and the key was needed to be thrown away - Ayu was going to do so.
One breath. Two breaths.
When she finally opened her eyes, something was different. Wrong, almost. Her irises were set aglow with gentle but strong pale light... But where once were whites there was only the color of the void.
Without moving an inch Ayu looked to the side - at Liari's monstrous form, at Saiyans that were going to fight with her to the death. The battle was raging on and the consequences were going to be fatal. And she was here too, getting herself involved in a battle she loathed, into a conflict she never wanted to happen. From the ground, she was quietly observing warriors with her glowing eyes. Eyes in a way dazed, yet tranquil and calm to the point of indifference... But their clarity was uncanny when she gazed at the roaring, chortling Majin, focusing on her grinning face for longer. She did just ruin her attack - but Ayu wasn't looking at her to see her reaction, no. There was no hesitation in her when they exchanged glances, be it if Liari felt her stare or was it merely an accident that their eyes met. To say it simply - Ayu was giving Bluebell the side-eye of the century.
... Then she turned away.
The chaos could rage around her now but there was only one person nearly at death's door - others either left or were gone already. Finally being able to move Ayu walked up to Callion within a split second, kneeling on the grass beside him. Even if she was trying not to feel so much, that sight was like another kick to the stomach. Last time, was it any different... When he died? Was he laying so wounded like this on the ground when Liari... No, enough. Doing everything she could to softly turn Callion over on his back to get a look at his wound, Ayu laid him down on the grass. The cut that Quash did was... Awfully clean. He didn't hit any vital area so the bleeding wasn't going to last for long, yet at the same time, this one injury took away the last of the monk's strength. Maybe it was a matter of Saiyan pride but it left a bitter aftertaste. Callion's body was in awful shape from the fight and whatever he did to fuel his power by using his own life force. The bruises, the cuts, wounds... With that last hit, he was out of the commission. Ayu couldn't even tell at first if he was conscious or not. Before it all happened she asked him to return safely and in this state, there be no return at all - not on his own strength that is. She looked at Callion with the guilt she couldn't quite place. If she only could act sooner... Ayu gently brushed away long, black hair from his face, wiping away some of the dirt and blood from his cheek with a soft gesture, worried that a simple touch could hurt too much in his condition. Even if her eyes were too calm, they couldn't help but reflect sorrow half-hidden in the pale glow.
She needed to heal him right away. Ayu did train for situations like this under Dende's watchful eye. Right, focus her energy. Help it flow and heal... Lightly placing her hand above the wound, she closed her eyes, and yet - instead of a familiar glow, there was a different reaction. A set of sparks lit up her fingers but there was a shock - like an impulse that appeared out of nowhere hit her palm, impact echoing through her wrist to her whole arm. It felt like it slapped her hand away from Callion, nothing ever grazed him only attacking her... But... Ayu silently stared at her fingers, at the black glove soaked now in blood. The marks on her skin that looked like the energy itself scratched her until she bled, the ricochet of technique that was supposed to heal - hurt her. Why?
Oh, she knew why. She felt it too and it made her hands shiver briefly. Ayu might have forced this transformation a little bit, holding through to the pressure and the stress inflicted on her body, but it didn't mean that her control was as perfect as she thought at first. Quite the opposite. It was swirling in her, uneven, energy dancing and playing by its own rules. The amount of power wasn't something that depended on her decision. It wasn't in any mean fair. Even if she kept this form, and withstand the transformation, she couldn't control it enough to help those she wished. It was like roulette what was going to work, like her cholorkinesis a moment ago, and what was going to backfire creating more mayhem. What a disappointment...
But that wasn't the only thing she had on her. No. Ayu took off her glove and thoroughly wiped her hand with her sleeve. Having torn some fabric from her clothes, she wrapped it around the tip of her finger where the broken nail was. She fished out from the inner pocket a small, hard object, not bigger than a marble. The Senzu bean - Mr. Popo mentioned that she should eat it if she'd be gravely wounded, to the point when her regeneration won't help. And right now, more or less, Ayu was fine. Even if that was a blatant lie, she was going with it - the Saiyan needed healing more than her. And if her power just failed her, it didn't mean that she won't stop trying other options... Ayu gently slipped her hand under Callion's shoulder to lift him, placing his head on her arm. Making sure that he could breathe unbothered, she carefully placed the bean inside his mouth and gave it a small push so he could swallow it without problems.
It should start working quickly enough.
"I'm sorry," she apologized softly in a calm but small tone, her hand brushing against his hair. "In the end, I can't do anything more for you Callion."
When he was able to lift himself on his own, Ayu let go, quietly standing back. Now... Things were more complicated than a moment ago.
Deep down Ayu was asking herself the same question over and over again. She glanced at her hand, at the stains and scratches - she finally got them dirty, taking action, not being so hopeless as before... But it felt so bitter and wrong it gave her nausea. Yet, she went as far as this, there was no turning back now. Standing face to face with things she could never bring herself to do for so many reasons, she might as well do what scared her the most.
She might as well make her voice heard.
Her words appeared in Liari's head suddenly, though at this point they both might have suspected that it was going to happen sooner or later. The calm sound, as always gentle tone, and the serenity that followed it were a mark of Ayu's transformation just now - because it was obvious that in normal circumstances she wouldn't be so composed given what she just witnessed. All the previous talks the two of them shared were full of laughter or tears, Ayu never tried to hide her emotions. This time she didn't either - yet the stillness in her tone, despite the softness, felt devoid of feelings... And maybe it was. Her heart might have grown numb but it didn't mean that the sense of morality and reason were gone with it.
Is it fun..?
Ayu questioned the Blue Majin, standing idly on the ground in the middle of the devastated city.
You're looking like you're having fun, Liari. her voice didn't crack or stutter, it didn't hesitate, it wasn't shocked, angry, or depressed, maybe that's why it sounded so... Unnatural. What's so amusing about this all? Are people's struggle fun? Does it make you laugh? Her tone didn't change from inhumanly composed yet her eyes gleamed a little with uneasiness. Aside from her dark pink blood, there was red on her hand. A moment ago she could feel Callion's heart - beating that was growing slow and fatigued with every passing moment. His life was quite literally slipping through her fingers. If it wasn't for the Senzu bean... What's so entertaining about trampling the lives of those who could have never threatened you in any way? What value it has... What do you take life for, exactly..?
Maybe it was the lighting but it seemed like the blackness in her eyes started to slowly grow deeper. It started to hurt more.
... I thought that if I kneel and beg, you might stop, the inner voice of Ayu grew quieter for a moment. If not for those people, then maybe for me... But my voice clearly doesn't have any meaning anymore. Looking at what has been happening on Earth for some time now, maybe it never did. The fights, the destruction, the... Mayhem. All this time Ayu was hoping that at least in some way Liari was considering her feelings, as a friend, as a family member. Maybe in a way she did, if her suspicion that she was hiding her deeds from her was right... And just like in Zhang's case, the sensation of betrayed trust stung worse than Ayu thought it could. I'm sorry, Liari. I shouldn't have assumed that you would care about what I was trying to tell you all this time in the first place. Ayu would trust Bluebell with her life - but not with the lives of others. Not anymore. Maybe then it wouldn't have ended like this. That was... My mistake. I'm sorry.
Because even if her voice was heard, it didn't mean it was going to be taken into consideration, Ayu learned that the hard way. She closed her eyes, sweeping away the sense of dread that tried to creep on her, trying to rest her body and mind, even if only for a split second. There weren't many feelings she would allow herself to feel right now - though the one thing that she couldn't stop was a disappointment. In Liari. In herself.
... How many things like this you did, when I never noticed? Ayu asked after a brief pause, trying to count, to guess, to wonder if the moments when Liari was gone for training were matching days of terror happening through Earth. Why did you do this to Quash..? This question has been bothering her for a while, ever since she felt remains of her magic bound to the Saiyan's Ki. Liari was fiercely independent and to think that she would choose to restrain someone's freedom of mind in this cruel way... Ayu slowly opened her eyes. Did you used to kill people before coming home to me and Terra and act like nothing ever happened? She said it so calmly, almost like a machine. Ayu knew that many people feared Majin and there were moments when Liari had no choice but to fight. But this wasn't self-defense. It was a homicide.
I don't hate you.
It was an assurance. It could sound like a lie when said with this serenely indifferent tone but Ayu was sincere. She never lied when it came to others and Liari knew it.
I always feared the idea of people growing to loathe you so much that I was explaining your every action to them, justifying everything you did. I thought that I could save you from their hate. Because once Liari was a little girl that wanted nothing more but to play and spar with people... And when Ayu wasn't looking the desire to have fun grew into a bloodlust, into a twisted sense of superiority, drunk on power and destruction. As much as she blamed herself for not being there for her, she and Liari made their own decisions. I'm not going to do that anymore. You proved with your actions that they have every right to feel the way they do. Even if it pained her, it wasn't something in her power, or even in her rights to change their opinion - especially when they have suffered so much.
Was it only her or did the numbness inside her mind start to spill to her body? Ayu glanced at her hand, at the pattern on her skin. Her torn gloves disappeared somewhere, glowing lines weren't going anywhere. Another sense of foreboding started to knock on the back of her mind and her eyes widened slightly before she lowered her head.
Who was she trying to trick? She couldn't control anything - the power in her body started to accumulate. She thought she could help and now she was paying the price.
It's time to learn to deal with the consequences of one's actions.
The pit in her stomach grew and Ayu turned her head away from Callion, wiping away the blood that escaped the corner of her mouth.
... You and me both.

Liari’s hand SCYTHED across the air, backhanding Athren across the landscape and causing him to skip wildly upon its surface with three mighty blasts chasing after him. It was like watching a flat stone skip across a calm-surfaced lake, each bounce leaving a small crater upon the land where his back had connected. It would have been funny… HECK, LIARI WOULD HAVE LAUGHED… had it not been for the sudden SHARP AGONY FLASHING THROUGH HER BRAIN! The majin let out a roar of agony and CLUTCHED at her face as her head THROBBED in pain, clenching her jaw so tight… she might’ve felt one or two of her teeth crack! Quash… had been freed! She didn’t know who… She didn’t know why… but SOMEONE had freed that monkey from her control! NOW! OF ALL TIMES! Liari swiveled this way and that, searching for that treacherous minion of hers… She decided that she didn’t much care how Quash got his mind back… all that SHE cared about… was making him PAY for it! In a flash, it would be Quash who found her, suddenly appearing before the majin’s snout, his eyes brimming with hatred. His anger was such that it had almost matched her own, his deep blue eyes locking onto her burning red ones! With a sharp edge to his voice, Quash would declare that THIS was over. ALL OF IT. “Is it…?” The ape rumbled, her lips curling into a cruel smirk. “YOU ALWAYS WERE A SHORT-SIGHTED FOOL, QUASH. THAT’S WHAT MADE YOU SO EASY TO MANIPULATE. ALL IT TOOK WAS A SUGGESTION AND YOU WERE ALL MINE. NOW YOU THINK SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU HAVE CONTROL OF YOURSELF AGAIN, YOU CAN CHALLENGE ME!? I AM YOUR POWER!” …Not least because the Majin knew something HE didn’t: The afterlife… wasn’t forever. In fact, certain peoples had the ability to come and go from hell as they pleased, as simple as opening a door. Even if she were to die here… it would only be a matter of time before the majin clawed her way back for another round. …and speaking of death… The Great Ape smirked as the explosion of her Tsunami Cannon impacting… never happened. Athren had dodged. THE FOOL! A low, rumbling laugh burst from Liari’s lips, envisioning her blast slowly arching down towards the Earth! With one simple act of callous arrogance, Athren had doomed EVERYTHING on this planet! With one foolish act, every last fighter, person, dog, cat, tree and blade of grass would be reduced to SMOLDERING SLAG, the planet, in a few moments, erupting within a ball of internal magma and FIRE! Her final victory, knowing of the futility of the afterlife and the idiocy of the living now! YES, SHE MIGHT BURN WITH THEM AND SHE MAY EVEN DIE… but she was the only one between them all that knew of the demon portals, of the gateways in and out of hell! SHE- BOOM!
There was an explosion, one that rocked the world… A second or two passed… and the planet was holding up far better than Liari had expected! CRANING her head back in the direction of the blast, the majin’s eyes shot WIDE. JUST UNDERNEATH where the blast would have connected with the Earth, there lay a wooden dome… Scorched, burning and gnarled from the blast but… It had protected the planet from Liari’s final revenge… It… It was HER. Slowly, Liari turned her eyes upon the ONE PERSON she had been intent on ignoring throughout this entire engagement, the ONE PERSON she didn’t want to see here today. Ayu stared back, her eyes glowing gold in blackened sockets. A cold shiver ARCHED up Liari’s spine from the sheer, icy anger that dug into Ayu’s face, an expression like a mother… having reached her wit’s end. Time slowed down around them as the bioandroid’s mind linked in with Liari’s once more… and asked if she was having fun. Was she having fun, Ayu asked, taking live, STOMPING THEM into the dirt the way she was? Just WHAT did she think life was anyway? Anger, petulance even, BOILED in the majin’s blood as Ayu made her accusations, plumes of steaming, burning smoke BLASTING from the majin’s nostrils! Is that what you think this is!? The ape huffed. YOU’RE SUCH A- …She stopped just short of speaking the venomous words on her tongue. Something inside her compelled the majin to BITE BACK the overflowing rage, to rephrase her feelings in a meaningful way. Liari knew not from where this compulsion sprung… but it was strong enough for her to comply. You aren’t a warrior. You would never understand what it’s like. I did everything I could to attract these warriors naturally. I hunted for them. I TRAINED openly so they could feel my power. I SCREAMED challenges into the sky… But nobody came. I NEED someone to fight, Ayu. I NEED it. It's like you not having your plants. I have power I need to use. TO FIGHT WITH. Can you imagine the hunger, the frustration, knowing everything you want is around the corner but when you turn it, you see it running out of reach and behind another one!? …And can you believe these COWARDS? These men, who call themselves fighters, RAN FROM ME every chance I gave them. I created tournaments. I made NOISE… and they only came when I threatened something they cared about. I stepped over lines. …then I did it again. And Again. And I HATED them for it. I hated that they made me do this… But what more could I do? They only cared when there was a monster for them to slay. NOBODY CARED ABOUT ME UNTIL I DID SOMETHING.
…After a short pause, Ayu would comment how… she thought her wishes would’ve been enough, that Liari would have listened if she just pleaded hard enough… and clearly, Liari wasn’t listening any longer. …And then… She apologized… She apologized for thinking Liari would give any heed to what she thought about her behavior. The majin blinked, caught off guard. She had expected a dressing-down, something harsher than this but… maybe it was the quiet, hushed, stern tone Ayu was taking with her that stopped Liari dead. She said nothing, protested nothing… and Ayu would question why she did to Quash what she had. …It was a simple question… and also the hardest one to answer… because she didn’t know HOW to answer. After a pause… Liari would speak. Quash wasn’t anything special… He was weak, a fool… I COULD CRUSH HIM… but he was brave. At the height of my power, he was the only one who consistently challenged me. …I sought to raise him from his ineptitude. If I couldn’t find fighters to challenge me, I would make them instead. I was at the height of my power. I felt invincible, that I could do anything… and so I learned dark magics capable of bringing out the evil in a man’s heart… and their potential along with it. …Only, Quash’s progress had been too slow. I couldn’t draw out enough in him for it to make a tangible difference… and so… I slowly converted him into a minion, someone to seek out fighters for me… until recently, it seems.
…Another pause. Ayu questioned if Liari killed people behind her and Terra’s back, coming home like NORMAL… as if everything were okay. …No. I did not just go out and KILL people. I don’t hate these humans, Ayu. How can I? They’re small. Fragile. Tiny. …But these warriors DO. No matter what I did, no matter how I tried, NOBODY would fight me… So I did what I had to do to get their attention. I became the monster they wanted. …They got to feel important, like what they were training for amounted to something… and I got to do the same. …No. I didn’t just kill people and come home to you, Ayu. That’s not what happened at all.
…Ayu stated… that she didn’t hate Liari… and somehow, that hurt worse than if Ayu had claimed the opposite A sharp TWINGE shot through Liari’s chest like a cold, obsidian knife being driven into her heart, carving out the small, Ayu-shaped piece and RIPPING it out. Ayu… had always been an advocate for her… she tried desperately to cover for her, create excuses… No more. She was done… and now the both of them have to suffer the consequences of their actions. …Despite everything Liari had done, the power, the strength, the intelligence Liari had acquired… her eyes had begun to wet. In the corners of her eyes, small rivulets of tears bubbled up and rolled down her monstrous face. Ayu… was done with her. The one person who ever loved her… was done. “*SNORT!* Heh…” Liari smirked weakly, wiping her eyes dry with a flick of her tentacles. “...Then… If I die… maybe you would be better off.” Her sanguine eyes would then flick to Quash’s, a small… twinge of regret in her eyes. For a moment, the saiyan might see a piece of the little girl Liari used to be, the child inside underneath the bodies she had wrapped herself in. “...DON’T DIE, QUASH.” Liari rumbled, a tentacle wrapping around his waist! “...I AM NOT WORTH IT.” Suddenly, the majin would THROW Quash out of the way of the incoming Athren, the Super Saiyan 2 ROCKETING back towards her like a BLAZING meteorite! The Saiyan blood within Liari wouldn’t permit an execution… but maybe… somehow… She could give Athren something she never had: Some excitement in this fight. Cocking back her hand once more, Liari gathered every drop she could spare into her palm, coagulating it into a teal, writing orb of energy! “Final… Tsunami…” She rumbled, waiting for Athren to draw close… “CANNON!” Liari would THROW her hand forward FIRING THE BEAM point-blank at the Saiyan! The energy-wave would open up like the maw of a great sea-serpent CLAMPING DOWN on Athren’s fist, threatening to CLAMP IT OFF! A BRILLIANT EXPLOSION ENCOMPASSED them both, a pillar of gold and turquoise energy ENVELOPING one another in a double-helix of power! The clash SPLIT THE SKY and SHOOK THE EARTH as if the sky was falling upon them all… before they split… and EXPLODED past one another, excess energy BLASTING over the horizon! …When the dust cleared, her hand was reduced to an amorphous, gelatenous mess up to her elbow, the side of her face seared and dripping lose flesh… with a small hole drilled into her chest. Liari looked down at herself wordlessly… almost in shock that… in the end… she wasn’t even the strongest. Even that… was a lie. “...It's true, then…” Liari muttered to herself, turning to face Athren. He seemed to be talking with Quash, trying to get him to back off. “...After everything I did… I’m still weak… pathetic…”

Opherla had almost been clear of the city, tears rolling down her face when she suddenly heard the yell.
"ENOUGH!"
Opherla had turned around. It was Callion. Callion was... back in base form? Why was Callion back at base form all of a sudden!? He must have been in danger, then maybe Opherla should go back and help- No... no, she would just be in the way. That was all she was good for at her power level was getting in the way.
She then saw as Callion was talking with Quash. Was this why he left his transformation? To talk Callion down? Opherla hoped he could get it done, they needed someone like Quash-
SHANK!
Opherla's eyes widened as she saw Callion get stabbed. She looked down in horror, in absolute horror as she watched Callion slump to the ground. The tears that had once stopped began to flow yet again, as Opherla looked down at Callion's limp body and couldn't live with what just happened. Callion had been stabbed. And Opherla did nothing about it. Callion was dying... and Opherla had no way to bring him back... nor did she have the power to get him out of harm's way.
Then came Quash, free of Liari's control, or at least it seemed, to Athren's side, the two of them looking to fight Liari together, as Opherla looked at it, and what she once envisioned as her joining people like them at this moment... there was no vision of that now. No. Opherla looked down... seeing Callion... and saw herself. Weak, lethally wounded, and dying... the difference? People cared about Callion because he had enough strength to protect this Earth.
Opherla, on the other hand... had her stupid little made up martial arts and a measly level of power. A measly level of strength...
A weakling through and through.
Then, Ayu transformed, and Opherla immediately saw once again just how much out of her league she was. She watched as Ayu prepared to fight, and could only cry more as she watched.
Opherla wanted so badly to be a hero like these guys... but that was a feat she never could accomplish. Not at this point and time.
Opherla had to face facts. It was time to go home. It was time for this young pup to face the fact of how large the power gap was between her and all these other warriors. Opherla shouldn't have even been there. Opherla shouldn't have even appeared...
As Opherla cried her heart out, and turned to fly away, thoughts began to creep into her mind. Was this... was this her fault? Did all of this happen because of her? Was she responsible for all of this? The attack? Callion's death? Was she... was she just not meant to protect Earth? Is that why her mom wrote the note to go to Vegeta? So she could live somewhere other than Earth?
Regardless of whatever path lay ahead of her... Opherla knew she could never prepare in time for what came next.
She was weak.
And she was no hero in the midst of this world's villains.
Only another cowardly nobody, who should have avoided joining this area from the start.

Serena was still running for her life when suddenly the man from before interfered, sending a booming shockwave at her and quash along with his shout of enough. Serena stopped fighting for two reasons unlike her opponent. One was that the shock wave literally sent her flying away from the two mighty super saiyans and it took her away from the danger she had been in moments ago. The second thing that stopped her from fighting further was relief she wasn't about to be turned into silly putty by quash. She had been sent far enough away she didn't hear the conversation they were having but the brief respite allowed her to see what was going on around her
She nearly fell out of the air in shock as she looked up to the other pair of combatants. Their power shook her to the point that her limbs felt like jelly and even started to vibrate in fear. Majins were not natural creatures and the fact she felt fear at all was to say something. To make her shake in fear was another thing altogether. "" just what are you two?"" It also placed a thought into her head of one path of power. Was absorbing others really such an effective way to gain power? Buy of she did that would she lose her mind like liari and attack everyone? Something she herself would probably never find out as she had no intention of taking a life to find out.
Suddenly she was snapped from her inner conflict to see Liaris attack heading straight for the city and all she could think of was Why! The other two powerful warriors were too distracted in themselves to do anything about it! How could they not notice that attack! Serena luckily was in a position for it not to affect her but the city was another story altogether. "" GUYS THE CI…"" suddenly she felt a huge power level suddenly bloom from the city and a massive fortress of plants burst from the ground to intercept the attack. At first Serena didn't think the giant plants had succeeded but as the smoke cleared she was glad to see that she had been wrong.
Turning back to the bickering Saiyans she was gonna start screaming at them demanding why neither of them reacted only to witness quash thrusting an energy blade into the other one. Luckily she was close enough to over hear this part of the conversation. It seemed that one of them didn't want the other one to help him. If she had anything to go by then it was some sort of pride or guilt that made him do what he did. But as the one who had saved her twice now fell she flew underneath his arm and caught him. "" hey I got you mister Saiyan"" as she held him her arm around his waist morphed shape to cover his wound as she lowered him to the ground. She had to try to stem the blood loss as much as she could and the only thing she could think of at the moment was her hand.
She quickly flew down to the ground with Callion the entire time reassuring him as they had never met before and honestly Serena thought he might still be able to blast her to kingdom come. ** if allowed**
Finally they landed on the ground and Serena looked up and froze in place as she stared at the green woman from before. Her eyes were distant and full of pain that made Serena want to stop her pain. At the same time the power the woman had and anger hidden behind those eyes scared her so much she visibly shuttered. But to her credit she did nothing crazy or say a thing when she came over to help callion. She watched the woman's power go haywire and fail to do much of anything. But the bean looking item she fed him and instantly healing him had her in shock. Were could she get one of those?
She stepped back from the two and watched them both with intrest but allowing them any space they might need. Besides the fight up in the air was far more important. Actions N/A
