Opherla was about to help the Bio-Android when she noticed her turning her head back up to the fight. Opherla could tell her eyes were full of concern and worry as she looked up, causing Opherla to do the same as she saw the fight raging on above. Opherla couldn't help but look back at the green girl, wanting to help her so, so, badly... but they both knew. They both knew if Opherla tried to fly up there, she could get hurt, and Ayu might not even be able to do anything.
"You're right... that was kind of stupid of me, huh." Opherla remarked to the Bio-Android with a sheepish laugh and rub of the back of her head. "Yeah, let's go looking for survivors. We need to help the people first and foremost." Opherla remarked.
Opherla then saw Callion arrive just as Ayu did. Opherla was about to greet herself when she looked to see Ayu looking at Callion with longing and sad eyes... Opherla decided it was the absolutely best for her to stand back and let Callion and Ayu have their moment. She would take the time in their moment to quickly evacuate several hundred more people in the city, whether they be under rubble or fleeing for their lives. Opherla used her flight to quickly move from group to group of civilians and get them out quickly as she could, before she returned the moment Ayu and Callion finished.
"Yeah, let's go." Opherla said before hearing Ayu ask if she could help. "Of course I'll help you. Let's get as many out as we can!" Opherla exclaimed as she and Ayu would get ready to dash off when Opherla saw her stop. "Huh? What are you-?"
Opherla then saw Ayu was looking right at Serena. Opherla understood... she was trying to talk to Serena. Serena... Opherla hadn't seen her in a while. She hoped Serena stayed safe during all this... she knew Liari and Serena had a history, just because they were both Majins... But Opherla couldn't help but worry for her friend. After Ayu was done, Opherla realized she hadn't even asked the Android's name, when the Android said she was heading north to make a bridge.
"H-hey! What's your name!? I'm Opherla, by the way!" Opherla called to Ayu. Whether she got an answer or not, that didn't matter as Opherla would quickly start guiding many civilians to the north of the city. "Go this way! This way! North of South City!" Opherla exclaimed. "Yeah, yeah! Go that way!" She told another as she kept on staying hidden and evacuating civilians.

Serena watched the Ensuing fight with interest, her eyes locked on to almost everything that was happening and still managed to keep an eye on the strange Saiyan that seemed to be taking a back seat. It was odd that he was not doing anything as most Saiyans were not prone to inaction and with his dark feeling he gave odd Serena was more then sure that he was with Liari. As she watched she was trying to tune out the sounds of the distant screams despite there being nothing more than she wanted to do then go to their aid. But if she left this spot and the dark Saiyan joined the fight vs the golden warrior then the death toll would be so much higher when the city was destroyed.
Just as the pressure was starting to visibly annoy the Majin something changed in the Dynamic that dragged her attention to none other than the dark Saiyan. He had moved from his spot but not to the fighting above but instead made a Beeline to the Majin warrior. She uncrossed her arms from her elbows and instantly took a fighting stance to try to be as ready as she could to fight. His immediate insult was expected and while she disagreed with his thought process she could not throw it outright ethier. He was right she could not fight him more than a moment if he did truly try to end her life. But she hopped by then the man up above would notice and be at least a little prepared for him.
She gave a grin of someone who knew that they had the losing straw but was willing to stick with their guns until the end. “” I only need to…”” She started to speak before her eyes went wide and voice started to speak in her head. She suddenly started to look around completely ignoring the man in front of her before her eyes fell on several figures that were not panicking down below. OPHERLA WAS HERE! Her mind screamed to her in a panic that made her stand up straight in shock. The voice kept talking to her warning her of the Danger of another battle she was about to be in that would soon start. Judging by the third figure down below she had no doubt he was who the kind voice spoke about fighting soon.
It only took the Red Majin a moment to come to a decision and turn her head back to squash with an impish smile only her kind had. “” Quash is it?”” Spreading her arms out to her sides she stood on the edge of the building with her back facing the trio she had seen earlier.”” I think your about to have to worry about someone else besides the little old me.”” Suddenly her smile was no longer impish but down right deranged as she raised one hand to her own hair and grasped it tightly. “” Please do me a favor… Don't go losing”” with a slicing gesture to her own neck that separated her own head from her shoulders only to be supported by the hand holding her hair” Your head “” She finished as a separated head from the rest of her body. Placing her head back on her shoulders she suddenly turned away and leapt down to the city below to help the fleeing Civilians.
If allowed to leave she would immediately seek to help the people that were trapped more than any other. Ripping apart buildings to get to trapped people and quickly placing them in others hands before leaving to try and find another.

The Saiyan Callion, shrouded in his hood and cloak continued to stare down at Quash, even whist the Majin Liari was now starting to fight with the hybrid Saiyan Athren in mid-air across South City. "I am only going to give you this one chance to walk away." Callion spoke in a serious and cold tone, he continued to keep his power level down, whilst he took a moment to look up to see Liari and Athren once more, seeing the two powerful warriors begin their battle across the sky. Callion turns his head down to Quash once more with a slow, teasing raise of his power level. “You have no idea the power you are dealing with. You should heed my warning and walk away while you still can.” Callion warned Quash, giving him the very moment to turn around and leave whilst he had the chance left. Trust be told, Callion did not exactly want to kill or hurt Quash too badly, that ‘M’ mark that the fellow pureblood Saiyan had on his person really got Callion to ponder if even he can be saved. The cloaked and hooded Saiyan continued, “My power level may be restrained now, but do not mistake my calm demeanour for weakness. If you continue down this path, you will suffer the consequences.” The disguised Saiyan’s words were cold, sharp and to the point as ever. His hands turned into a fist for a moment and clenched hard before letting go, he took a slow, deep breath in and exhaled out the mouth, steam rising from the hood like a dragon about to ignite the dreaded fire from within. “I have no interest in fighting you unnecessarily, but if you persist in your foolishness, I will not hesitate to show you the full extent of my power. So, I urge you, Quash, make the wise choice and leave while you still can. The fate that awaits those who dare to cross me is not one you want to experience.”
Callion's words were harsh, the South City that everyone was around still stood, and the people were still fleeing before their eyes as the battle commenced with Liari and Athren in the air. Callion's eyes continued to not even move from looking at Quash for a moment, the disguised Saiyan awaited Quash’s response and action. “Make your choice now and be in peace with it. While you may have your own reasons for being here, I will not let you jeopardize the safety of innocent people in the city. If you continue to stand in my way, you will face the full force of my power. And I promise you, it will not end well for you. So, Quash, the choice is yours. Leave now and live to fight another day, or face the consequences of your actions. Choose wisely.”
The Saiyan gave one last warning, awaiting Quash’s actions. While the time for peace may have very well came to an end, Callion at least held back for just the moment for his fellow pureblooded Saiyan to go away and live to fight another day. Though another aspect came to his mind; Ayu, Opherla and now this other majin… Admittedly, Callion had zero reason to trust Serena whatsoever, he would have to keep a very close eye on her, least she be in league with Liari secretly in some manner. Though such thoughts of that alone would have to wait for the moment, as of now – the tense situation between Callion and Quash was about to be decided in this moment… In Callion’s mind, he hoped Quash would make the right decision…

"Hello? You were saying?" Quash had seen Serena seemingly go completely blank before suddenly looking around. He raised an eyebrow, trying to figure out what had gotten her attention. Once she appeared to have found what she was looking for, he followed her gaze to a couple of strangers and... wait a minute. That girl with green skin, he had known who she was. He encountered her in the woods when he was still his old self. What was her name again? Apple? Asap? Amy? He couldn't remember immediately, but it had been what felt like a lifetime since he had last saw her. What was she doing here? She seemed to have grown up a bit from the naive kid that she was. Had she come to join Athren in the fight? When he met her, she didn't seem to have a fighting spirit in any capacity. Maybe she had gone through something that changed her mind, just like he did. He'd keep her in mind. Perhaps he'd be able to catch up with her in the fuuuuUUUUU UUUCK that. A darkness had taken hold of him once more. What was he thinking? If she wasn't a strong fighter, she may as well not exist. What was really getting a little ominous was this strange man in the cloak. He had noticed that he'd been staring at him intensely, and it was a little off-putting. What did he want? What was he hoping to achieve? He had something to say, why didn't he just say it- Quash's head snapped back to Serena, who had called him out by name in addition to giving him a warning. He had never introduced himself to her, correct? How did she know that? Did it have something to do with whatever happened to her just moments ago? Maybe she had heard him another way, maybe through the tournament? A lot of eyes were on him that day, maybe some rumors had been spreading around. Either way, that was going to have to wait, because what she did next revealed who she really was. The saiyan's eyes widened as she literally TOOK HER GODDAMN HEAD OFF. There was only one other person he knew that could do that so casually, she was currently scrapping with Athren. That combined with her skin color and eyes made it obvious that she was a majin. Quash immediately had a flashback to his first conversation with Liari. There was a time when this would've been a good thing, happy to see that his former friend was no longer alone. However, this only made him think of what kind of shit show was awaiting them in the future. If one majin was enough to cause this much trouble, who knows what could happen if two were running around? Not only that but there may be more out there. The whole damn rainbow, even! Quash had half a mind to preemptively ice her now before she had a chance to absorb some poor sab and gain incredible power, but he had other problems now. Whatever Serena was warning him about seemed to have finally reared its head. He lowered himself down to the ground, level with this hooded figure. The others who were with him had already run off, it was just him now. Was this part of a plan? Quash was supposed to be "handled" by this guy? He kept quiet and heard him out, figuring he'd finally know what his whole deal was. The stranger's power began to slowly reveal itself as he teased how much he was holding back. He didn't know how much power this man had, but it's not like he was hiding his energy. If this warrior was still unphased by what he was threatening to go against, he must be packing some serious heat. It sure as hell didn't sound like a bluff either, one could tell by the tone of his voice that he wasn't playing around. Speaking of which... That voice was really familiar. VERY familiar. Not only that, but he also knew Quash by name. This isn't like what the majin was on about, this man had known him personally. Unfortunately, Quash couldn't quite put a finger on it, but it was right on the tip of his tongue. He decided to be patient since, from the looks of it, he was about to find out. The time it took for him to say his peace was a short one, but it sure as hell felt like a lifetime. He just went on and on about how to "take his warning and leave" and "make the right choice" yadda yadda. These "hero" types were always the most annoying people in the galaxy. All this big talk and high horse riding, but when you actually need them to show up they're nowhere to be found. The former Captain allowed there to be a short moment of silence before he replied, his own energy beginning to rise. "You're... really not that bright, are you?" The ground beneath his feet began to shake, getting progressively more violent by the second. "You walked up to a saiyan, boasted about your grand power, and now you want me to just... walk away?" Quash's aura exploded outward, the ominous nature of it practically pouring out of him. "The lust for battle is baked into my very blood. I live for this, and now you're going to give it to me. And of course, if you don't, I'll level this entire city since you care so much about these sheep." He got into his fighting stance, feeling his heart begin to beat a few ticks faster. This was what he was waiting for. There was enough standing around and talking about meaningless things. Now was the time for a proper showdown! Liari got her fight, and now he was going to get his! He hoped that this figure really did have a lot more than what he was letting on, because he hated being disappointed. "Now look, you've gotten me all excited now. Come on then, let's hop to it, shall we?" "And don't even think about holding back." WC: 1031 TWC: 2103

Athren couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of satisfaction, even if it were just the opening of the battle, landing those hits had felt like a complete accomplishment. Even the last time that he came face to face with Liari and decided the best course of action was a retreat, he doubted that he'd be able to land consistent blows like this. If anything, this had been all the proof that he needed that his training had pushed him to newer levels, pushed him to a place where he could actually protect his kids and the planet. This was the evidence he needed, and all that hard work had paid off. He was able to go toe to toe with this Majin, fighting on level ground and previously, this would've only been a dream but now that he was here, now that he initiated this thing, he had to be able to finish the job, he had to put her in the ground and END this thing, once and for all. NO more cities destroyed, NO more people hurt by Liari's attacks, this was it, it ended TODAY.
Athren remained silent for the duration of his attack aside from his controlled breathing, his heart continued to race as the battle carried on and with each passing second, the Saiyan-Demon hybrid become more and more immersed in the battle. His confidence higher than ever before, his drive to win this thing even higher than that, this was who he was meant to be, where he was meant to be. All roads he had ever traveled in his life had brought him here, and it was for this reason.
Hovering in the air after his attack, he looked down observing Liari as they BLASTED toward the ground, he was almost expecting to see a cloud of dust blast up into the air, but instead what he saw was Liari taking the shape of a ball and rebounding off the ground right up towards him. "UMHP!" A rather quite grunt had escaped his lips on impact, it was a blunt blow that had spread out along his torso and forced his body out of the way as she blew through him, "GMP!" Another grunt had escaped his lips as she then made SOLID contact with his back, pushing him forward all but a few feet as he allowed his Ki and his flight ability to keep himself balanced in the air, though through the blunt pain he had felt through his armor, Athren didn't hesitate to spin around rapidly just in time to see the incoming kick coming his way, and luckily he had just enough time to react!
Athren would force his arm up and collided it against Liari's leg, the force of the impact bringing her leg to a dead stop and sending a small shock wave throughout the city streets, It was at this moment that Athren made eye contact with Liari once again, his eyes still full of confidence and even lust for blood. His teeth showed from a dark, gritty smile brought on by the adrenaline rush from combat. Though now it seemed as if he had the PERFECT opportunity to strike.
Instead of LETTING her recover her stance from her kick, Athren would attempt to wrap both his hands around her leg and swing her one hundred and eighty degrees to TOSS her into the air, "YOU WANT ME TO SAY SOMETHING?!" Athren would exclaim as he brought up both of his hands and fired a small volley of basic Ki blasts aimed at his target with honed accuracy. "FINE!" His voice was loud enough to be heard over the blasts of Ki that had been fired. After the short duration of blasts had ended, Athren would've launched himself forward and sent his right fist right towards Liari's face, hoping to have it land and cause some more damage. "You're going to die today." His words were calm at this point, with the distance now closed there was absolutely NO need to yell, he used the moment to be more intimate, to make the threat seem more real, more present.
This wasn't just about winning or threatening this monster that had been terrorizing the Earth for months now. He wanted her to FEEL the same fear that she had put into the hearts of all those she killed, wounded and just threatened, he wanted him to be the cause behind it, he wanted to see it in her eyes at least ONCE before he finished this thing for good. He had complete confidence that he could do this, that he could finish it. As long as Callion could hold off Quash, Athren believed he could take down Liari in this one versus one. Athren had nothing but faith in Callion, Callion would equally be aware of the stakes here and would likely know what it meant if he lost his fight. Athren wouldn't be able to take BOTH Quash and Liari at the same time and though there were other fighters present trying to help evacuate the city, they weren't capable of doing damage to the Super Saiyan or the Majin and Ayu? Although she had more than enough power to be a contender in this fight, it wasn't her style and Athren knew she likely wouldn't get involved. So it was up to Callion and Athren.
He had felt like the entire weight of the world was on his shoulders right now, the Earth depended on him right now to end this threat once and for all and maybe with a little bit of luck, the Earth wouldn't look so negatively towards the entire Saiyan race. He had to make up for the sins of his past, and right his wrongs, and Liari was just another obstacle in the way of this. She had to be removed from this planet, SHE had to die. He was going to do everything in his power to make that happen.

The more things happened the more she needed to do to avoid any casualties. That was the truth. And jumping right between Liari and the Saiyan would only lead to a disaster... Ayu's heart was telling her to stop her adoptive sister, yet her mind was trying to be logical and more strategic about it all. Maybe her feelings were the instinct that guided her this far but she couldn't survive on it alone... The warrior that suggested flying her up there was now smiling troubled. The owner of a pair of fluffy ears and a tail saw too that Ayu's first desire to go up there was something both stupid and irrational... Though she focused on the fact that she was the one who brought that up. She looked just a little disheartened, trying to mask it with a bit of humor and Ayu's gaze softened. She shook her head and lightly placed her hand on the girl's shoulder.
"It's alright. I-It was silly of me to think that this would be a good idea... But I was very grateful t-to hear that you wanted to help me anyway," she explained gently, trying to reassure her. It was a truth that the difference in power was too great, yet Ayu couldn't be more thankful after hearing the Wolf Saiyaness honest proposition. Though reaching Liari was something that needed to wait. "Right. People take priority," Ayu told herself, turning her head to hesitantly glance at the hooded figure once more. She said what she wanted already... Callion was ready to fight and so it was clear that this place would become another battleground. There was no room for her here, who would only get in the way. And still... Ayu hoped. It was a hope she wanted to hang onto, praying that everything will end well... That Liari would stop, that Quash would snap from his ominous state, that no more lives will be taken prematurely...
But there was a difference between hope and wishful thinking.
She was about to move but she felt a shiver on her back when Quash looked at her. Their eyes didn't meet and his gaze barely acknowledge her presence - but then she could almost feel the scorn that was like a bucket of cold water. He wasn't always like this, was h-he..? He turned away to stare down Callion and Ayu caught herself exhaling a breath she held inside her chest for a moment too long. She had no right to say that since they only shared one brief encounter - but he was so different she couldn't help but be concerned. It wasn't natural. If she'd want to know what was hiding in his mind, roaming there like a thick black fog, she'd have to get closer... Though it was a bad idea right now to get in the middle of a fight. She was so glad to see the Majin considering her advice, the pink warrior - or rather a red-skinned person with the hue of their skin so bright from afar it looked to her like pink - backing away before the two Saiyans could start clashing. Though the trick with the head made her jump in place. Right, her signature was intact, there was nothing to worry about. Liari did the same thing with her arm a while ago... It wasn't the first time that Majin's anatomy startled Ayu like that.
But that wasn't the most important thing right now. She can't be so skittish in front of everything, can she now?
"Thank you s-so much," she whispered under her breath, leaving the rescuers to what needed to be done... Was she talking to Opherla or to Majin who clearly couldn't hear her from the ground... She wasn't sure. She shook her head and looked up at the red-haired girl. Something about her presence and her accepting her request to help others was as calming as a good cup of tea. "Ayu," there was a small, unsure smile when she took a brief moment to introduce herself to Opherla, "My name is Ayu." With a quick handwave, the green-skinned woman let her know that she was going to do what she mentioned before. Both of the people she asked for aid left to look for injured and those that were still trapped in the City. The amount of gratitude was about to bring tears to her eyes - but Ayu wiped them away before they could fall. They needed to help people and fighters had their fights. But there was no way she would leave the fate of everyone just like that... There was something she needed to take care of by herself.
Ayu reached the north side of the island that South City was standing on fairly quickly. The coast was clear, with blue waves adorning the edge of the beach. It looked so tranquil and pleasant if only it wasn't for the sounds of the fight behind her. But now...
She could sense the energies of people on the other side of the sea - and judging by their frequency she could more or less pinpoint the place that was the closest to her right now. If Ayu was going to make a bridge that large it was crucial to save as much distance as possible... Not because of her powers but use itself. Civilians needed time to evacuate and although they were already rushing, making sure that everyone was safe was going to be time-consuming. And the distance was long enough... Every mile counted if they were running to safety.
Ayu stopped in her tracks and looked at her hands. The scent of salt and wind was mixing with the smoke that was carried here from the center of the City. She was shaking, that was fine, yet the tips of her fingers already glowed softly. Her Ki was read, still... If she was going to break her Seal now, her energy would be easily sensed by everyone present. A pensive, concerned look appeared in her eyes as Ayu was gazing in the direction of the mainland. It won't be like breaking a dam, simply revealing what was hidden... To Liari, to the stranger who valiantly was fighting with her, to Callion and Quash, Operhla and the Majin too, and anyone who could pick up the Ki signatures. Ayu didn't want that. Her presence could cause more harm than good. Her high power was giving her nothing but troubles and once the technique will be undone she couldn't just easily hide it again. People were attracted to those with high power levels and that scared her the most - but it wasn't about her. Her mind was already set on that even if she needed to shake away all the doubts. As she slowly breathed, the resolve was growing stronger, pushing aside her concerns. She was going to use this power to aid people, the tragedy that happened before won't be repeated. She won't lose control. She won't allow it.
That was probably what people were calling a Test of Faith... But in her case, it was about faith in herself.
Her heartbeat was becoming stronger. Ayu joined her hands together and raised them to her face. Golden, softly flowing light as faint as the starlight in the moonless night was painting lines on her cheeks. They curled around her cheeks and on her forehead, the very same pattern visible on her fingers. Ayu was fed up with feeling hopeless and there was no going back now... She has to use everything she can. Gently exhaling, with a whisper she pressed her lips against her joined hands, closing her eyes. The Ki around her grew dense.
"Here's go nothing..." her voice rustled like soft grass. Delicate sprouts started to emerge from the ground where she was standing. The Seal was breaking and finally - the air glimmered for a split second next to her hand. The pattern on the Seal was nowhere to be found and there was nothing that could have hidden her presence now... But that wasn't important. The thin, pale-green stalks that started to grow swiftly turned into young branches. More and more trees were sprouting in front of Ayu, their young trunks expanding in the same direction as guided by her will. Within seconds they matured and started to grow beyond the capacity of a regular plant - and their number was only increasing. Her aura started to show, yet it was different from others or even from what she has felt before. It wasn't a sharp, strongly burning shroud of Ki, no - those were ribbons of energy all around her, flowing in the air softly, almost lazily... Like a slow, calm movement of a wide river that came with the deepness and formidable current within.
The roots were firmly grabbing the soil, securing the path above them. Their foundation was running deep down to the solid layers of ground, they were meant to anchor everything in place. Up there, above the water, Ayu was making a bridge and she needed it to be strong enough to withstand everything that could have happened. And right now? Anything could be possible. The branches, trunks, and vines curled, coiled, twisted, and intertwined in mere moments weaving a road high above the sea. The path wasn't smooth but it was wide enough for a crowd of people to go through, the branches and crowns of trees hardened by Ki could give some protection if any stray blast would be shot this way... In theory that is. Ayu was standing in one spot like a marble statue, her mind focused on the gentle signatures of trees and ivies that she was asking for help. And they listened. The people that escaped started to gather behind her, keeping their distance and murmuring but she couldn't lose her focus now. There was a long way to go with what she wanted to achieve.
After the bridge reached a few miles in length there was a deafening roar of waves. The water opened under her creation and from the ocean grew another plant, the disturbed tides crashing against the giant stalk. The stalks of a waterlily bend, divided and curled around this section of the bridge, supporting its weight. Ayu might have been using a mix of magic and Ki but even she needed to remember the rules of gravity on this planet. After the plants solidified enough, the trees were growing further, every foot of length growing faster than the last one. She had to make sure there be no holes, no frails spots that could collapse under people's weight, and no unfinished railings that were crucial if civilians will be walking above the deep and wide sea... There was sweat above Ayu's brow and once in a while, her figure was shivering - her breathing became deeper. Controlling Ki wasn't her best ability but here she was trying to do what was right.
Yet another worry started to grow in her core. The fight was raging behind her... What if the battle would reach this area? It could be devastating, destroying what she just made and trapping the people of South City on this island. If they be here, the number of casualties would only grow... And those warriors who cared would be limited not to cause any damage and protect those who stayed while the others... Won't be bothered by all that. Ayu could always ask Liari to avoid this spot but once she thought about it, her throat started to dry. Would she listen..? Or would she do the exact opposite? The last time they were together Ayu's chlorokinesis put at least dozens of painful holes in her body and Bluebell had to knock her out unconscious. It... It wasn't ideal. She wasn't even sure if the Majin would like to hear her voice, they were away for so long and she has changed... Both have changed. Though even if her options were limited, there was someone else she could ask.
Whether it was a good idea or not, she couldn't tell. The energy that was clashing with Liari belonged to a Saiyan, a stranger she never saw before and his power was on par - and even stronger than his opponent. Through the battle she noticed that he was covering the buildings with a barrier, nullifying the attacks that could have created more damage. It was making her heart lighter to see that... And he lacked this one thing that was making her uneasy about his Ki, unlike Liari and Quash at this point.
I apologize, I-I'm disturbing you right now, I'm a-aware. Ayu's telepathic voice started to speak shyly to the Saiyan, trying to appear in his mind slowly apologizing as she did so. She'd hated the thought of bothering him or catching him off guard when he was in the middle of the fight to the death... But there was nothing else she could do. She took a quick breath, her eyes still closed and energy focused on the growing bridge in front of her. Let's make it quick. We don't know e-each other but I have a favor to ask... Could y-you please try to keep Liari a-away from the north side? It was obvious that they must have already noticed her presence and the huge green bridge growing in size was visible from the sky. Ayu's hands were shaking, a drop of sweat rolled down her cheek, and fell to the ground. I beg you, she whispered, pleading. We need more time to evacuate the civilians.
She needed to finish the bridge. There was no other way. Opherla and the Majin were working hard on finding trapped people and those who have lost their way. Ayu asked them for help, she needed their help - she couldn't do this alone. And right now it was her duty to create means of escape. Half of the path was already done but time was of the essence...

Liari blinked as Athren, after taking TWO SOLID STRIKES, from the majin, shook them off and raised an arm to guard against her kick. He was durable, she would give him that... Not a lot of things on this planet could take a direct blow from her and shake it off as he could. In a way, the saiyans inside of her BELLOWED in approval, crying out for more as Liari had FINALLY met some meaningful resistance! Instead of a mere steamroll, she was getting into a FIGHT... And that she should've been happy about that. For once, she and her monkey-brains actually agreed on something. Liari coffed as Athren made his little threat, letting out a HUGE sigh of disappointment at what he chose to verbally joust with.
"Oh, I'm terrified," Liari remarked sarcastically, rolling her eyes. "...But really, after everything I've done, THAT'S all you got to say? You really need to work on your one-lineerrrAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Athren had locked her leg against his body with his arm, SWINGING her up into the sky with remarkable control! Liari flipped END-over-END, letting out an annoyed grunt as she brushed her tentacles out of her eyes! This must've been what it was like for humans and their weird "hair" growths, always getting in their eyes when they REALLY didn't need them to. After about the third or fourth tumble, Liari JOLTED to a halt upright in the air, smirking as a volley of... rather weak energy spheres closed in! The majin raised a hand, catching each one as they came in, STUFFING them into each other as if filling a santa-sack with goodies, the combined balls growing larger and LARGER with each one! By the time she was finished, Liari was bouncing a large energy sphere from hand-to-hand before tossing it at Athren the moment he rushed her! The blast would SLAM into his chest with a glorious KA-BOOOM, the burst of power causing WINDOWS to shatter in the immediate vicinity! From the cloud, the saiyan still charged, LUNGING his fist for her face! It seemed as if he wanted to give Liari another good look at the inside of her head! A generous offer, to be sure, one she might've taken any other day! ...But was Liari REALLY hungry for a second look so soon after the first?
I think NOT!
Liari's head SPLIT in two A MOMENT before Athren's fist would've SMASHED into her nose, each half grinning wickedly at the enraged, golden monkey.
"Oh, dear... Someone's angry." The left half mocked.
"I know... I wonder if we killed someone he likes..." The right mused.
"Maybe... But does he LOOK like the kind of guy who even HAS friends?" The left questioned. The right considered Athren for a moment.
"Nah... I bet they would've left him to die, even if he was. After all... unlike this joker..." The voices came together as one, the head FUSING around Athren's arm so that Liari's teeth CLAMPED into his arm, BITING into his flesh with long, sharp fangs! Athren's fist poked helplessly out the back of Liari's head, held FAST in her flesh and teeth!
"We know how to work together." Suddenly, Liari's hands would shoot up to GRAB Athren's arm and hold it in place, a bright red tentacle arching up from where it rested on Liari's shoulder to point at the saiyan hybrid! ...If he looked closely, he would see the very tip of it beginning to spark with pink energy.
"TURN INTO GUMMY." Liari declared through a mouthful of muscle, SHOOTING a pink, voltage-arch-like beam at Athren from near point-blank range! Should it connect, Athren's body would be CONSUMED in a flashing aura of pink energy, shocking him with what looked like millions-upon-millions of volts! He would feel his flesh soften and weaken, his muscle and skin transmuting into something... else!
If the Candy-Beam connected:
IN A PUFF OF SMOKE, Athren would be turned into a PERFECT Gummy-bear-like replica of himself! The majin would smirk, taking a BIG bite into Athren's now gummi-fied arm before pulling herself free. She would hover back so that Athren's gummy fist would pass harmlessly out of her mouth before closing back in, grabbing the former-saiyan before he could fall to the ground.
"It was... sweet of you to fight me, stranger..." Liari smirked before BACKHANDING the Athren's head so hard, the shape of her hand INDENTED deeply into the gummy-warrior's face! "...But let's see how you... bounce back from THIS." The majin would toss Athren up a bit before raising her leg and AXE-KICKING the gummy-Athren's head as it passed her, SLAMMING him down into the ground so hard... his gummy-shape bounced off the ground. He would rebound all the way across the city, slamming into garbage cans, narrowly missing people, and smashing through walls like some kind of humanoid pitcher-mascot! The moment he came to a stop, the gummy-Athren would suddenly be enveloped in a NEW puff of smoke. As it cleared, it would be revealed that Athren had been transmuted back to normal... albeit with a nasty bite on his arm, a burning mark on his cheek where Liari had smacked him, and a big BUMP on his head... But he was, once again, himself! ...Only, there would be this strange, sickening feeling in his blood... as if he'd been POISONED. Little did he know, his bloodsugar had TRIPLED since his little trip from being a gummy-bear!
"...Blast it..." Liari grumbled, looking toward her tentacle in disgust. "...I still can't figure out WHY that doesn't stick with people..."

Ayu, that was a pretty name. It fit someone like her. But now was no time to dwell on names. Opherla had to get everyone to the north side of the city! And so, she began doing so, many civilians at a time.
"Come on, this way!" Opherla said to a group as they ran North, as she was doing this with group after group, but couldn't help but watch the battle, wanting to help, but at the same time knowing if she did, it was basically suicide.
Opherla would see Athren begin fighting Liari. Every fiber of her being wanted to get up there and help, but again, she had to remind herself, it was suicide! But she couldn't help it. As she helped more people, her eyes drifted back to the fight. She noticed Callion ready to fight Quash. She had the best seat in the house for a grand slam main event!
However, her excitement quickly turned to worry. She watched as Athren's fist was... blocked? She guessed? By Liari and noticed the tentacle beginning to spark. She had a feeling that wasn't good. She needed to help Athren before he got zapped by that thing! But what did she have other than...!
Oh yeah! Her collectible cat plushies! She had hundreds of replicas! Pulling out one she always carried on her, she aimed her shot and threw the minute the tentacle raised, hoping she threw it in time that the target wasn't Athren, but the plushie instead!
*Should the plushie block...*
Opherla would sigh in relief, knowing Athren wasn't going to become a gummy now, but she knew Liari might look for her, so she quickly began to flee to another part of the city undetected to save more people.

Serena didn't look back once she leaped off the roof were quash was down to the city below. The green girl had asked for her help to save civilians and for some strange reason that felt correct.
It wasent long before the red majin was moving from building to building helping people evacuate to the north of the city. During the jump from building to building she even managed to convince several adults to help lead the way. The helpers made it much more organized then it had been before.
Eventually she had found a bus that she had started to fly around with loading it full of people and taking it to the north side of the city and droping people off near the green haired woman. Serena didnt stay to chat though as the woman seemed busy creating a plant bridge that was honestly pretty cool. But during one of her trips she spied Opherla and she wanted to give a shout out to her old friend bit before she could opherla did sonthing that made her jaw drop to the floor literally.
The puppy had thrown a plushi into thr fight to protect athren! She at least had kept her power level low but regardless Serena moved closer nearby. From her own Experience liari would seem like she didn't pay attention to anything but that would be a big civilians. "" HEY how's it going Opherla?""

Callion remained silent for a solid five minutes when Quash, the very fellow pureblooded Saiyan that he helped trained some time ago and befriended was fully committed to the idea of slaughtering everyone and everything in the city. Clearly, from what Callion could deduce, he was in league with the Majin Liari who was still duking it out with Athren. The Saiyan himself, who was disguised in his long cloak and hood kept quiet, as the winds picked up within the evacuated city. Within the darkness shroud of his hood, Callion's eyes remained absolutely locked to Quash, assessing the situation and trying to figure out the best course of action. As he observed Quash, Callion could sense the immense power emanating from him. It was clear that Quash had become much stronger since their last training session together. Callion knew that he had to stop Quash and prevent him from causing any further harm, but he also didn't want to harm his friend if he could avoid it. The sheer silence from after Quash’s respond was enough to hear the tiniest pindrop from the simple back and forth between the two, two saiyans that were about to go completely all out with one another. Callion knew Quash was a pureblooded Saiyan through and through, for a warrior like him lived and breathed for battle. How did it come to this? How did all of this madness spiral into this single moment that was going to determine very much the fate of not just this city, but quite possibly the safety and security of the planet as a whole? Was it the seeds of the changelings Zero and Ryme having fully corrupted and had Liari in the palm of their hands? The nightmare that Ayu had told him prior to his arrival at South City? There was far too much speculation and unknowns, but one thing was clear - Quash was a threat, and Callion needed to stop him. Callion's eyes saw the surrounding city from the street he was standing on, the damaged buildings, the vast debris all over the place, and the injured people. It was a sobering sight and reminded him of the stakes at hand. He took a deep breath, and sighed, the steam of foggy smoke escaping from the darkness of his hood. Right now, there was just so many possibilities spiralling in his mind. How was going to defeat Quash? How powerful has he become since their last encounter with one another? Is there a way to free him from the strange ‘M’ mark that he saw on his fellow pureblooded Saiyan? Such meaningful questions were weighing heavily on Callion's mind. But he didn't have the luxury of time to ponder on them for too long. For as he looked up, he saw the hybrid Saiyan Athren duking it out against Liari. A small part of Callion inside oh himself was dying on the inside, to see such a scene happening right now was killing. Truly, how did it all come to this moment? The cloaked and hooded Saiyan sighed and refocused his attention on Quash. He had to act, and he had to act fast. Upon hearing Quash wanting Callion to not hold anything back, it only further cemented his confirmation – at least from his own mind – his fellow pureblooded Saiyan really wanted to go through with this, from the ‘M’ mark on his head, to that burst of power Quash was revealing, he wanted to go all out on this fight. Callion looked down for a moment, and closed his eyes within his hood, there truly was no way out of this was there? He was going to fight what was essentially another student that he helped train... But he had no choice. He had to protect the innocent people of the city, and he had to stop Quash from causing any further harm. With a deep breath, Callion let out one last sigh, clenching both fists that were covered by the cloak, if this was truly what was going to happen, then he was going to have to fight every single fibre of his body and hold the line until not only the civilians were being escorted out of the city with the delightful aid of Ayu, Opherla, and Serena, but also for Athren to handle Liari. For Callion – he will have to take care of Quash… … By any means necessary… … At all costs… Knowing that the battle was about to begin, Callion knew that was no way Quash was going to be convinced to stop or to turn away from this madness, he knew deep down from one pureblooded Saiyan to another that the thrill of battle was calling, and it had to be answered with fists flying, power ki rising and the earth itself to tremble before the might and power of two warriors duking it out for not just the fate of South City, but for the planet itself. The disguised Saiyan decided to allow his power level to drop back down, toying with Quash’s emotions for just a little bit, for in this moment as it were, the two were in the very Eye of the Storm that was about to be unleashed, and all manner of Hell was going to be unleashed once the very battle itself was going to begin. Pandora’s box was going to be opened, and it was going to be extremely difficult in closing it back down again. “… Very Well…”
Was the last words Callion spoke to Quash. In that very moment a MASSIVE EXPLOSION of PURE KI ENERGY ignited from the disguised Callion, causing the Saiyan to engulfed in a gigantic debris of dirt, smoke and rubble, as though a nuke had just been dropped onto the very city itself. The power level right now had just began to drastically spike, a red lighting sparks illuminated the dust and smoke. The very ground itself trembled before such a monster of pure power that had just been revealed, even the sky itself darkened for a moment with thunder and lightning quaking across the very air. For Quash, all he saw was the very cloak and hood to fly out of the smoke debris, like a flag in the wind. Whoever wore the very piece of clothing finally decided to remove it off of them, as it finally appears the pureblooded Saiyan was going to get the fight he wanted afterall. That’s when someone was slowly walking out of the debris and smoke of the explosion that took place right where the hood and cloaked warrior stood. The illuminating red lightning and firey aura was on the move slowly out of the smoke and ash, as a figure began to appear. It was a Saiyan, very much like Quash, but he wore an Orange gi, with a strange insignia writing that had the words ‘KING KAI’ on his left chest and back, with a blue belt and boots, from his eyes, hair, and overall clothing was now a crimson shade of red, the long lion Saiyan like mane stood up like a Super Saiyan but now had the colour of someone that had also used the Kaio-ken technique. And the face… The undeniable face… Callion… Had arrived. The pureblooded Saiyan that had supposedly died at the hands of Liari had finally revealed himself not just to Quash, but to everyone who was in the city. His power level continued to rise, not stopping for even a moment. Callion took a good look at Quash, remaining absolutely quiet for a moment, the total serious look on his face was though he was starring into his fellow Saiyan’s very soul. The silence was terrifying for Callion refused to say another word, the very dreaded quiet of the soon-to-be battlefield was filled to the brim with tension, more than enough for a person to carve a cake with a knife. Callion took a silent look at Quash for a minute, closing his eyes as he took slow, deep breath in through the nose and exhaling from the nose. … Inhale … … Exhale … … Inhale … … Exhale … Callion slowly entered into his fighting stance, no longer that of the Monks that taught him from the Planet Bhupal, but now one of the Turtle Hermit from Master Roshi; the very Earthling teacher that once trained Callion before he died at the hands of Liari. In that very instance, if one were to blink, Callion had vanished, the Saiyan who was in his Super Kaioken formed literally blinked with a blinding burst of speed and SMACKED Quash in the gut with a powerful left punch, which that was followed by another blow to the side of his face with a right roundhouse punch, and thirdly an uppercut with the left fist that emerged from out of Quash’s stomach. An immediate three first flying combo to start off the fight between Callion and Quash. However, Callion wasn’t done just yet, his right-hand clench HARD, the ominous roar of the Oozaru was bellowing from within Callion charged once again directly at Quash to perform a powerful haymaker blow directly onto Quash’s face, hoping with the enough force, momentum and throwing his whole body into the technique would send him flying up into the air and away from any possible civilians onto the ground.

It was impossible. And yet, it happened anyway. As the stranger's ki exploded outward, the saiyan's facial expression was that of disbelief. Quash knew exactly who this energy belonged to. Only it didn't make any sense. It couldn't be him, he was dead. Long dead. He had almost immediate flashbacks to his duel with Liari in the desert alongside Jorey. He could still hear the pain in Liari's voice even now. His death had been the catalyst for the majin's fall from grace. The tournament, the destruction of the cities, the Changeling's involvement, all the pain and suffering that Quash and his friend had to go through, all started with his death. He couldn't be alive. There's no way that all of this... Had been for nothing?Quash refused to believe it. As the wind raced past him, carrying dust and rubble with it, he kept his eyes glued to what was in front of him. He was convinced that his own senses had been lying to him, he had to see it for himself. This had to be some kind of sick joke. Maybe the Majin Mind Control had more effect on him than he thought. Maybe he had finally snapped. It had to be some kind of trick, a ruse, some kind of twisted illusion. After all, when people die, they die. There was no way in hell that someone could've come back from the... And there he was. As it all settled, there was no mistaking it. Upon seeing his face, it was exactly the same as the person who taught him how to use the Three-Sectioned Staff back in the woods one day. He had no idea how it happened, how it was possible, but it was clear now, he'd be a fool to accept it: Callion was alive. A lot of emotions were running through Quash's body all at once. Relief that his mentor had been alive, anger that it took so long, and confusion about how all this occurred all mixed within him. They were fighting for dominance. He didn't know how to feel, how should feel. As he was sorting through them, the whispers of the unholy mind control had begun to influence him, and he had fallen victim to them. Dropping his martial arts stance, he stood tall as the saiyan's glare met Callion's. It was clear that the power struggle between his feelings had been settled. The winner? "Do you have any idea..."
Absolute, unyielding RAGE."WHAT YOU'VE COST ME?!" His aura flared more violently, veins bulging throughout his body as his power was beginning to boil over. While Callion remained silent, Quash did far from that. "THE BLOOD THAT WAS SHED, THE TIES THAT WERE CUT, THE BONES BROKEN, ALL THAT I'VE ENDURED ON YOUR BEHALF?! TO AVENGE AND TO HONOR YOU?"
He took a step forward, gritting his teeth. He had committed so much to stopping Liari in his place, only to find out that this asshole was still alive. How long? How long had he been sitting around while so much was happening? Did he fake his death? Was that it? Had this whole "warrior monk" shtick been a facade? Had he really stooped so low as to allow others to take on the mess that he had created because he was too much of a coward to do it himself? Quash, much like Liari had done with him, blamed Callion. He was too weak to finish the fight, and now he decided to just suddenly come back into the fold when he felt like it. "BUT THAT'S JUST IT, ISN'T IT? ORANGE CITY, LIARI, THE CHANGELINGS AND THE TOURNAMENT, ALL I DO IS ENDURE, AND ENDURE, AND ENDURE!"
Callion may have been back, but it was too late in Quash's eyes. He didn't care how much power the monk had gained. The world no longer needed this has-been. He was going to put him where he should've been in the first place: In the fucking ground. Quash had gotten what he wanted, a foe that was taking the gloves off. It was only fair that he did the same for him. His eyes turned green, and his hair flowed upward. A cyclone of ki began to swirl around his body as he began to undergo a transformation. The ground beneath his feet began to give way as his golden energy surged through it, ripping through the concrete he stood on like paper and forming a crater beneath him. In a grand bright flash of light, the former Captain of the Saiyan Empire had turned into the legendary Super Saiyan. He took a deep breath as he began to simmer down, he couldn't afford the enter the battle with his emotions running wild. In the final moments before Callion would move to strike, he'd chuckle and smirk wildly as he came to accept the absurdity of the situation. "Very well, then. I'll just have to endure you as well, won't I?" As Callion surged forward with blinding speed with his initial punch, Quash welcomed the attack. Fuck the city, fuck Liari, fuck all of this BULLSHIT. He was going to fight to his heart's content, and he was going to do it for HIMSELF. Planting his feet firmly into the ground, the saiyan brought his right arm back and stepped forward as he launched a straight punch that collided with Callion. A shockwave rang out as yellow clashed with red, shattering the remaining windows around them. Everyone around them would be able to feel the might of the two commanding forces clashing, fighting for dominance. Quash felt himself being pushed back, his feet tearing through the concrete. Callion was strong. Really strong. Good. More fun for him. He lifted his left arm up, bracing for the next attack. He grunted as the monk's knuckles dug into his forearm, sending a potent sensation throughout his body. He barely made that block. His opponent was as fast as he was strong. One wrong misstep and he'd easily find himself in a less than favorable position. Every move had to be the correct one, there was absolutely zero room for mistakes. Luckily, Quash had known combat for his whole life. Fighting was like breathing to him. Quash arms crossed as he seamlessly transitioned into a block that was below his chin as he took the uppercut. The momentum threw him upward into the air just above the buildings! He only grinned wider as he could already feel the bruises forming on his arms. He was LOVING every minute of this! 'That's it, give me more!' That was the only thought the soldier had time to conjure up in his mind, seeing that another attack was already heading this way. This one was clearly stronger than the last. The fight was escalating, and he had to respond accordingly. Flying straight down back into the city toward his adversary, he'd perform a spin to gain momentum for this next attack. Using all of this strength, Callion's punch would be met with Quash's back fist, causing a second and even more powerful shockwave to race throughout the city. This time structures all throughout the surrounding area would collapse as already ruined buildings would be rocked into pieces. Quash's attack was overpowered yet again, his body being flung right back into the air by the remaining force. He'd quickly gain his bearing, already ready for the next attack. Adrenaline was rushing through him now, and he just couldn't wait for what else was in store. WC: 1260 TWC: 3363

If there was one thing that was consistent in this fight, it was Liari's constant chatter. Athren didn't care much for it, nor did he really care to respond half the time. It was pretty obvious that this was just a game to the Majin warrior before him but to him, this was so much more than just a fight. There was heavy stakes here, everybody on the ground below, running from the destruction, those he cared about on the planet, all his mistakes, they were all factors weighing down on his shoulders. This fight wasn't about who was stronger, nor was it a game. People's lives were on the line here, countless innocent lives. "Terrified!? By the end of this, I PROMISE you, you'll experience FEAR, You'll experience every OUNCE of it that you've put into others!" Athren really didn't give a shit whether or not Liari was being sarcastic, he meant what he said. By the end of this fight, there would be a look of fear in her eyes, she'd understand what it was like to be one of the many Earthlings that had encountered her cruelty, that had suffered for her own entertainment.
Though Athren's little Ki blast attack didn't work out in his favor, he pressed forward with his attack anyway. Liari redirected the blast right back at him. He pushed right through it, smoke rolling off his body as he pressed his attack even further, his punch becoming so close to landing before the Majin SPLIT around it, completely avoiding the contact that Athren was aiming for. "What the fuck!?" Athren couldn't help but arch his brow, just what WERE these things capable of doing with their bodies?
He really didn't have a choice but to listen to the two versions of Liari banter, their insults childish, making fun of the fact that he didn't really have any friends. They weren't wrong, what so ever. He didn't have any friends at the moment, and the closest thing to a friend was here in this city, but that didn't matter right now, he gave up his past life, he decided this, and that wouldn't ever be taken away from him.
Liari would take her moment and bite down on Athren's arm, her teeth sinking in just enough to a little bit of blood. Athren's cheeks twitched lightly as a little grunt escaped him. The bite was rather sharp, causing more of a stinging sensation rather than a raw amount of pain, it was easy enough for him to handle, though luckily for him the next move was rather silly. She mumbled something against his fist and a tentacle began to spark with energy.
At this moment, a Plushie had flown by, though Athren would pay no attention to it. He had to think fast and Liari had basically exposed herself for one hell of a punishment. Realistically, Athren could've fired his Nova Cannon from his right hand and completely blasted her head off but he wanted to prioritize protecting himself and getting her off of him. It was time to unleash one of his new techniques and he'd fire it off at the exact same moment Liari had fired off her own. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Athren exclaimed as a large orange wave of energy blasted outward from his skin, making contact with Liari's attack and potentially pushing her back. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" He vocalized it as he kept pushing it out further and further until finally she was pushed off him at a safe distance.
It was at this moment that Athren was going to press his attack further, but he had been held up but for all of a second. A sweet, soft voice started to speak to him and he immediately recognized it as Ayu. She had requested that he keep the fight away from the North Side of the city, and he'd damn well do his best. Ayu was begging him and her reasoning was sound. If he knew how to respond, he would have but for now, he'd just have to respond with his actions. ~ Alright Ayu, If you want time.. I'll give you it..~ He thought before jolting forward once more, wanting Liari's FULL attention for the next little while. He didn't want to risk blowing Ayu's plan. Though he couldn't see Liari bailing on him for the civilians, he really didn't want to risk it. He needed to keep the pressure on.
"YOU'LL HAVE TO DO BETTER THAN THAT!" Athren exclaimed, the gap closed once again and forced his right fist forward towards Liari's chest, his arm lined with two thin trails of blood. Immediately after his right fist drew back, Athren would throw his left around to try and connect with Liari's jawline and to finish off his little combination of attacks he'd bring his right leg up with power and try to connect it to kick Liari south and towards the ground.
So far, his confidence had still been with him. The blow exchange had rather been even up until this point. Though it was still too early to tell who would come out on top simply from being a spectator of this grand battle, Athren felt like he had the edge. In power comparison, he was leading the pair and out of their fighting styles, he believed he had the edge. After all, he trained his entire life to do this, he was bred to be a warrior. He had trained and trained to perfect this and it was all paying off. Though he was still focused on winning, he now had another objective in mind. Keep Liari away from the north side of the city and keep her attention ALL on him, he needed to provide the people time to get away. Though he'd now need to monitor Quash and Callion's fight as he sensed that was about to pop off nearby and Callion, well it felt as if he was stronger than ever. Hopefully, he had Quash under control.

The chaos was only gaining strength.
Among this havoc the Red Majin and Opherla were bravely searching through the cities - she could sense the energies on their path coming this way. More and more people have found their way to the northern shore and Ayu could focus on her creation, hoping that she will make it in time. Because of Liari... Bluebell was having fun. She could tell. Ayu was fighting against time to make sure that as many civilians as possible would leave this place - and the Majin was fighting to her heart's content up in the sky. It wasn't a mystery that she always loved to fight and Ayu didn't have anything against that, encouraging her to find friends and sparring partners - but this - this wasn't what she meant. Attacking innocent people to catch the attention of a strong persona? This felt so wrong. Was it all her fault because she couldn't give her what she wanted..? Liari felt cruel and despite everything, satisfied and amused. Was the scenes of burned cities to her liking..? This sudden thought was like a kick to her stomach and she shivered in place. What happened when she has been sealed away and meditating in the center of the Lookout?
Even now Ayu didn't wish for Liari's death. There was a meek hope in her soul that she could still talk with Bluebell, trying to understand her reasoning and explain everything. But the Saiyan? His power was roaring. A determination flaring up with every attack, a power level so high she could only wonder why the aura itself hasn't done more damage. The warrior was fighting fiercely and considering her pleading - with every moment she could sense them inching away from the north side of the city. Ayu was grateful. If it wasn't for him, she wasn't sure they could have matched her power in any way - and even if her own energy was great Ayu dared not to use it. If by any chance she was going to lose control here, Liari won't be the worst thing that could have happened to South City... Now the fates of the warrior here were intertwined and the Saiyan above them was protecting the city form Majin's attacks... And something told her that he won't let Liari leave this place alive, even if she would beg him.
... Would she be able to help Bluebell? Could she even do that?
Somewhere in the City Callion's energy exploded with enormous power. Ayu raised her head, sensing this not without startlement. Her hands twitched before she curled them into fists and opened her palms again, focusing on the growing bridge. Callion... What was this power? The energy resonated strongly with the area and his Ki burned calmly and evenly. Saiyans were truly built differently. Her level of control was far from that... The clash that she knew would happen finally was about to start. And the power level she sensed was so different from others. Callion was a Saiyan, alright, but it was a matter of the state of his life signature. The monk was collected. Sharp. Despite his raising power, there was nothing that betrayed his emotional state. Intense, yet calm... Yes, that was very much like Callion. She didn't even know how strong he is and it was the first time she sensed it so close. As much as she hated the idea of the fights taking place here she was glad that he and the Saiyan battling Liari were on one side. Worried... Of course, she was. Every second she prayed that no more lives would be lost. If Callion would die again she wouldn't be able to forgive herself. But if she could selfishly take some reassurance in his presence, then she wanted to do that... Because amidst the havoc happening, that was one of the scarce things she could hold onto.
Then she felt something snapping, like a huge iron wall collapsing... And Ayu began to tremble like a leaf during a hurricane.
This energy was all over the place and not in a good way. It wasn't exactly pure darkness... But the hate that poisoned this Ki made it resemble just that. The pressure was massive and it wasn't about the power level - like something locked her in a painful grapple pushing her toward the ground. She never suspected he was so strong, so... Fierce. If a life signature with its complexity could be compared to a melody - right now Quash's Ki was nothing but a cacophony. The short-lived relief that resounded in his energy was drowned immediately with frustration and rage within, resentment so strong Ayu felt its deafening power even at this distance. It hurt to sense this and even think how much pain was holding onto the warrior's shoulders... Just what was that darkness that was shrouding Quash? It was heartbreaking to sense how a warrior was spiraling into rage-induced madness. Ayu didn't realize that she was holding her shivering hands so strongly, her nails dug into her skin. The two Saiyans were starting their fight and the tension was already marking the City.
"What has happened t-to you, Quash..?" she whispered with a cracking voice. Ayu could feel the sweat on her forehead and the tears approaching, the ones she so badly wanted to keep hidden today. It didn't make sense. It didn't. Quash might have been proud and didn't care about the lives of others to some degree but he wasn't the one to massacre people just for the fun of it. Ayu remembered him as a focused and determined man, who was concentrating on his goal. It wasn't right. He was bitter about being deceived and fighting with consequences of actions he never meant to take... But now? What about everything he told her before? The race of warriors, his home planet, being wanted like a criminal... Had it no meaning anymore? Just... Why? ... And that's when she sensed it. Ayu's eyes widened and a glimmer of sorrow shone in pale yellow irises. Deep under the layers of Quash's chaotic energy, magic echoed. Magic that she was familiar with because she used to see it every day - but this time it was much darker, sticky, and devouring. Liari... What have you done to him? Ayu closed her eyes disappointed with herself. How many things like this has Bluebell done when she wasn't looking..? And she wasn't there to-... With a heavy heart, she opened her mouth to take an uneven breath.
As much as Ayu wanted to ponder or do something, she had to finish what she needed first. The path she was creating needed more of her focus than before - the further the plant was from her the more attention it needed. The bridge was growing at an acceptable speed, creating a green and wide line among the sapphire waters. The hardened vines were keeping everything in place and it should easily withstand the weight of the population of this city... The only problem was that it might take another minute for Ayu's plants to reach the opposing shore.
The second battle began. But... A moment before Callion made his move Ayu sensed his energy growing and something else fading away. Was... Was the warrior sacrificing his life force during this fight? Or it was Quash's fists that have already done so much damage? If she won't see, she won't know what was happening and sensing energy wasn't always the foolproof way of watching her surrounding. At this moment Ayu regretted not having mastered Far Seeing Art yet but she knew one thing... Both Saiyans were strong. Terribly so. But where Quash was full of rage and rioting emotions, Callion was opposing him with a stone-like composure.
At this very moment, the brunches and roots dug into another side. The green and brown vines held onto the ground, running deep into them, twisting and turning to anchor themselves within. The path was now finished, the most elaborated and energy-draining work Ayu has done so far. A sweat dripped from her nose as she wiped her face, with some pleasure feeling the cool sea breeze on her heated cheeks. She turned her head to face the crowd - and she felt weak in her knees when she saw how many people were around her. Her concentration wasn't exactly there but the gathering looked at her and she felt a lump in her throat. She was ready to hide her face behind her hood but it was already down, slipping away from her head as she run to get to this place. What to do now, what to do now... Ayu took another breath and with closed eyes decided to speak up.
"I-It's done," her shaking from a second of exhaustion voice might not sound so convincing but there was nothing there except boundless honesty. And hope - hope that they all will make it out alive. Ayu took two steps back and gestured to the open path. "Please, use it to escape," she offered with a pleading tone. "Soon t-this island will start to rock on its foundation." She breathed deeply, not trying to hide how this technique wore her out. "Please..."
The bridge was finished.
The deep breath she took filled her lungs with so-needed air. Ayu shivered and placed her hand above her heart, trying to slowly calm herself down. Being in the center of attention even for that short moment wasn't the most pleasant... She created the path to the mainland but there were other things to take care of. People that were trapped under rubble, those who were lost and injured... She had to get back to the center of South City. The battle and the danger were making her anxious but she wasn't scared of getting hurt. What really was sitting under her green skin was fear that she won't be able to do anything. Hopelessness was too friendly with her lately. She couldn't save everyone. But she was going to try anyway.
The people started to move, the crowd rushed to the bridge. Some were still undecided, others were looking at her funny... There were grateful gazes and those full of suspicion. It didn't matter right now - she was about to turn away when something caught her eye.
"Celric..?" Ayu asked, spotting a familiar silhouette among the Earthlings. A boy with black messy hair jumped in place hearing her voice. In his arms was laying a little child - more or less two years old. The little Saiyan gave it to the woman who thanked him in tears. Feeling her gaze on him, Celric turned around with a pouting face and a look in his eyes saying that he was already daring her to say anything. "Why are you..." Ayu started, got down on one knee, and placed her hands on his shoulders. His long hair was already disheveled and there was dust smeared all over his clothes, not to mention scratches wherever it was possible. "Why a-are you here? It's dangerous, you kno-"
"Listen AYU, I'll do what I WANT," the little Saiyan raised his voice brushing away her concerns, narrowing his eyes when she looked at him hesitantly, worried to her core. "I can help! I already did a lot!" He proudly pointed at his chest with his thumb. Ayu couldn't help but feel another strong grip on her heart. This child has just gotten back to the living world and just like Callion has found his way to a battlefield again. Why... Why was fate so twisted?
"... You sneaked out of the Lookout, did you..?" her question was said with a lower tone but Celric grinned and confidently nodded. His energy was high for his age yet when he concealed it like that...
"Cress and Terra were too slow so Mr. Popo caught them. I came here all by myself!" as he bragged with eyes of her imagination Ayu saw both little girls rolled in djinn's carpet as it was probably the only way to keep them in the Temple. She needs to apologize to Dende and Mr. Popo later - if she makes it out alive from this chaos.
"Please," Ayu's hands on his shoulder started to shiver. "G-Go back. Celric, please... Y-You can't die again..." She gazed at him begging. There was no way she could leave or fly him to the Lookout herself but from the way the boy looked at her, she knew he won't listen. The confident, almost cheeky expression reminded her of something but she couldn't exactly say what it was - and Celric has already decided. He clenched his fists.
"I am NOT listening to YOU!" He pushed away her hands and raised his chin. "I'm going to help! But, eee..." he scratched his cheek before he grinned again. "I'll stay close!" and with that, before shocked Ayu could react, he bounced into the air and flew right between the buildings.
She could only raise her hand after Celric, not being able to catch him. Oh no... If things would go bad, is she going to have to mourn another life..? That thought was like someone filled her lungs with lead... She prayed that it won't come to this. Standing up she jumped above the crowd and disappeared into the same place where she last saw the little Saiyan. Ayu run after him but with his Ki concealed she couldn't sense the way he chose. The buildings were now a mess and the ones that collapsed were creating a maze of concrete and glass... There was nothing else but to look around in hopes that she would spot him but Celric had an advantage over her - he hid his Ki and could sense her approaching. Why this child was so stubborn..?
Ayu changed her course toward two other signatures that she could sense in this chaotic city.
I made the bridge, I-I'm going your way now, she told Opherla, gently sending her the telepathic message. Startling her wouldn't be the best idea so she spoke softly, hoping that the girl won't react with anything other than being surprised. If... If any of you see a Saiyan child with messy long hair, p-please tell me right away. Ayu quietly spoke first in Saiyaness's head and then in Red Majin's mind. And if you see him flying right i-into danger if you can-, there was a pause to stop Ayu's voice from trembling. She sighed, hastening her step and jumping over the cracks in the roads. Her heart was beating uneasy and worried, and she couldn't shake the feeling that something was going to happen... Again. I beg you, please try to stop him.
Maybe the lives lost could come back to this world from the afterlife but it didn't mean that Ayu would like to see them depart there anyway.

Post by Majin Liari on Feb 22, 2023 16:18:20 GMT -5
"For the love of... Is that REALLY all you got...?" Liari groaned. "Make vague threats and scream at me...? You're so BORING." Athren hadn't been the first hot-headed monkey-man the majin had the pleasure of fighting and, she had to say, they didn't spend nearly enough time brushing their teeth for all the SCREAMING they did. What was more, Athren seemed to be FAR more flippant in his use of... "adult language" than Quash had been, cursing in shock as he received a taste of Liari's true abilities! It was kind of surprising actually, given how strong he was. Warriors of this planet seemed to have enough standards to keep such language bottled up inside, perhaps coming out in a scream or a punch or an energy-beam.
"Do you kiss your tail with that mouth?" Liari asked, genuinely surprised. "...And get off your high-horse, would you? You're a saiyan. I've EATEN saiyans. I know the dark thoughts that go through your head. I know all of you monkeys have that drive to fight, kill, conquer, to be acknowledged as the best. I know how you give into your bloodlust just enough when you fight, letting yourself enjoy the pain, the struggle, the frustration of your opponents. I don't know WHY you think you're different or WHY you're pretending you're not enjoying this... But it's disgusting. And so are you."
With that, Liari would level her tentacle at Athren, and fire her Candy-Beam! ...And then a second later, Liari let out a SCREECH of agony as Athren's skin began to GLOW ORANGE-HOT! Immediately, Liari recoiled off Athren's arm as her beam went off, searing steam billowing out of Liari's burned mouth as she clutched at it in PAIN! What in the...? How could he....? Liari looked up in time to see her own candy-beam ricocheting off the saiyan's body in a number of directions, completely deflected by, what Liari now recognized as, an expanding energy barrier! Wild beams STRUCK passing clouds, turning them into cotton candy, others scraping down along the concrete below, transforming them into lichorish! Some unlucky humans still were transmuted into ginger-bread and-
Liari blinked as something struck her face. It was soft... but thrown quite hard, actually tilting her head upon its impact. With a SWIPE of her hand, Liari SWATTED the thing away, catching sight of it at the last moment as it FLEW past her periphery. ...A doll? What in the hell...? Liari didn't have time to track the source of the flying toy as the barrier SOON reached her! Letting out a yelp of surprise, Liari THREW her hands forward, PUSHING agains the dome as her palms SEARED and steamed agains the energy wall! Her teeth gritted, her eyes FLARING a deep, ugly red as she struggled... RECOILING as Athren finally dispersed his barrier! Liari hissed as she held her hands up to her face, her lips curling into a snarl as she watched burned, bloodied hands slowly stitch themselves back into working order... It had been some time since she'd felt THAT much pain all at once... If she had held onto that barrier any longer, she might've simply lost them!
...Regardless, Liari had been pushed quite a distance from Athren by now, at least several meters. How could this be....? She fired that beam POINT BLANK in his face and he was able to react...? She could hardly believe his reaction time. Slowly, Liari's feral snarl mellowed into a more serious, analytical frown, her freshly-healed hands closing tightly into fists. ...Excitement and frustration dueled one another in Liari's gut as she stared down the saiyan, uncertain how to feel about this match. On the one hand, it was her first challenge since she'd learned how to absorb people.... On the other, Athren was really STRUGGLING to make it worth it. Sure, he could punch... HARD... but he was no real showman. He was posturing, trying to establish dominance in the way monkeys do... but he didn't have any of the FLAIR, the PIZAZZ that made fights fun!
"Bah. I can't tell if I'm disappointed in him or not..." Liari muttered to herself, shaking her head. Athren would then declare how SHE would have to do better... and the majin cracked a smile. "...Between the two of us, I'M the one doing all the heavy lifting here, chief. You know how to punch... but do you know what makes a fight REALLY fun...?"
...It seemed like Athren didn't care all that much because he FLUNG himself right back at her! Athren's first punch would pass... RIGHT through Liari's chest as it opened up around it, creating a BIG HOLE where he had intended to strike... The second, though... cracked her firmly across the jaw! Liari grunted roughly as the monkey's fist SLAMMED into her cheek, jerking her head to the side and leaving her open to a BIG axe-kick from his right leg JUST LIKE THE ONE SHE HAD PLANNED TO DO! Athren's heel SLAMMED into Liari's face, sending her tumbling END-OVER-END down towards the Earth, her momentum such that she had ONLY BARELY managed to find her balance a moment before impact! Completing her latest flip, Liari would SLAM into the ground feet-first, landing in a DEEP squat as the earth around her EXPLODED like tidal force, sinking and then EXPANDING out for serveral meters after impact.
"...Why do you even think I'm DOING this?" Liari rumbled, waving her hands all around her. "I don't care about THESE people! I don't... GET OFF on killing them. You know what I like? I like FIGHTING. I like having FUN. You strong people like hiding in your little holes, content to train alone... I got bored waiting for one of you to recognize me, to compete with me. Everything I've done... ALL OF IT... was because you ignored me. ...And I dare say, you deserve it." Liari would then reach over and grab hold of her other arm... With a GRUNT, she RIPPED it off at the shoulder, gently tossing it up in the air where it CURLED into a ball. "...And don't act so surprised. I have TWO of you in here." She rapped the side of her head with her knuckles as the arm-ball floated to the side. "You fools would go MAD if you didn't have a fight like this. You train all day... and for WHAT? To protect this dirt ball from a random human bandits and haywire androids? GET REAL, would ya!?"
Suddenly, the arm would SHOOT up at Athren, almost as if it were about to ram him.... BEFORE SUDDENLY UNWINDING in an effort to WRAP around him and SQUEEZE HIM TIGHT like a snake! Liari would then jump into the sky once more so that she was level with the monkey, conjuring two balls of energy in her free hand and tossing them at Athren! The two spheres would circle the saiyan in an orbital pattern, leaving behind smaller energy-fragments that, too, orbited Athren. Liari would then CLUTCH her free hand and ALL the ki-spheres and fragments would EXPLODE, aiming to catch the man in them all!
"...For the love of... You think I'd do this if I didn't think I had to? These childish 'great destroyer' games?" Liari protested, her inner exasperation FINALLY coming out in words. "You know what's worse than being weak and pathetic...? Being STRONG when nobody wants to fight you. At least with the former, you have no shortage of opponents." Locking onto Athren's energy signature, Liari would level two fingers at the saiyan, firing TWO thin yellow energy-beams, one targeting his shoulder, the other targeting his chest, each thin and powerful enough to pierce the fearsome warrior!
"It's someone like YOU I resent the most, you know." Liari stated after a moment, cold, calm venom dripping from her lips. "...All that power. ALL THAT FUN locked behind some gutless coward who only fights when there are stakes. You know what? I HOPE I end up killing you now, actually. You're the epitome of the kid with all the toys... and doesn't EVER share them. A Cheapskate. A FRAUD. THIS WORLD IS BORING! We're the strongest things on the planet and only NOW do you show up? What, did enough children cry loud enough for you to get off your monkey-butt and do something? Is THAT what it took for you to fight me?" A large vein BULGED along Liari's forehead as rage BUILT up inside, steam BLASTING out in intermittent spurts from the holes lining her arms.
"...Quash is braver than you. Yeah, that's right. THAT guy. He's a league below me and yet, he showed up knowing he might get caught in the crossfire and DIE. He and.... He.... Wha..."
The rage left Liari's face in an instant, replaced with an almost absent-minded expression. A... familiar power touched upon her senses, one she knew from so long ago and... had almost forgotten. Instantly, her eyes glanced down towards the two battling saiyans, catching sight of one with long, golden hair flowing like a cloak of golden fire. The majin froze, her jaw dropped, her eyes... welling up at the corners. It was...
"Callion...?" She whispered mutely. Half of her wanted to PEEL out towards Quash's fight, bat the former saiyan-soldier out of the way and PULL Callion, blonde or not, into a big hug! She... She had thought him lost to her.... FOREVER! He had been the only one who humored her, tried to TRAIN her... and in the end, she had to consume him... But there he was, standing there, FIGHTING... Alive. But... HOW!? Did it matter!?
The other half wanted to ROUND on Athren, accuse him of this being some kind of trick, curse him out so intensely, his eyeballs would melt off his face! HOW DARE HE do this! She didn't know HOW this moron KNEW of her connection with Callion, but he DID and he was playing a CRUEL trick on her! He MUST BE! Because Callion was dead! He couldn't BE here! HE WAS IN HER STOMACH!
Liari hovered there in the air, her gaze snapping from Callion, to Athren, to Callion again, expressions of rage, hope, confusion, and frustration cycling over her face like the turning of a wheel!
"This is impossible..." Liari concluded, clutching her head as a hundred different emotions PUSHED at the inside of her skull, feeling like it were about to crack open! "This can't be... It.... I...."

Opherla was still super focused on getting out civilians one by one, now near the section where Quash and Callion were staring down. Hopefully, they would focus on their fight more than her, as she continuously worked to get civilians to head north, working as quickly as she possibly could to make sure everyone at least started heading that way.
"Come on! Go this way! That's it! Off you go!" Opherla said as she kept on sending civilians off to the north, rescuing people from fallen debris and helping others to just get things packed to head to the North for those who just couldn't live without their belongings. Opherla couldn't help but believe she was doing all she could, the best job she could, in sending people to the North side of the city.
It was then she sniffed out a familiar power level. This was a familiar smell… a VERY familiar smell… it smelled like… like…
Serena!
Opherla looked to see Serena drop in as she smiled widely. "Serena! Long time no see! Huh?" Opherla would ask as she sniffed before she laughed. "Hahaha! Smells like at base, I got a little stronger than you! We gotta hook up after this is all said and done and spar again, girlfriend! Whaddya say to that?" Opherla smiled widely. It had been some time since the two last saw one another, so the Beastfolk/Saiyan Hybrid couldn't help but smile a bit at her first friend she ever made.
Opherla, of course, didn't forget about the task at hand, as she looked at Serena. "Listen, let's get these people to the North part of the city and quickly, time is NOT on our side." Opherla remarked, knowing the city was gonna crumble at any moment, as she hurried along with Serena to help get people moving the correct way.
Opherla heard Ayu's warning in regards to a young kid who made his way there. Opherla couldn't help but shake her head, must have been a Saiyan kid the way it sounded. Why couldn't kids these days just listen and stay where it was safe and sound? Then again… Opherla wasn't exactly following that rule very well herself so who was she to talk like this. Opherla looked at Serena. "Hey, I dunno if Ayu told you through telepathy, but keep your eyes out for a kid roaming the area who wants to help. We can't let him get in danger." Opherla warned as she wanted to make sure everyone got out safely. Well, everyone that Opherla could possibly save, anyways.
But then Opherla's ears pricked to the words of Quash… words of… anger… hatred… even slight sorrow. But they were words that were aimed directly at Callion… and frankly, they were words that Opherla didn't like in the least bit, as she clenched her fist in anger. Every part of her that was Beastfolk wanted to just keep to what she was doing, saving civilians and staying out of harm's way, so that she could live to train further past this point. So she could keep getting stronger to protect Earth. And for the most part it was winning.
But then Liari spoke up… and called Athren a coward. …Coward!? COWARD!? That word had rang in Opherla's head a bunch of times in her life… so much so that even if that word had been directed at Athren… Opherla couldn't help the fact it pinged at her own self, as she clenched her fist in anger. That's it. Beastfolk side not winning this time, this time, SAIYAN'S SIDE RULES! And Opherla was determined to do SOME DAMAGE!
"Hold this." Opherla suddenly told Serena as she took off her jacket, her weighted clothes, and handed them to Serena to hold, as Opherla cracked her neck and took a deep breath. Yeah, she had her eyes on Quash, yeah, she knew he was stronger than she was.
But right now, he was the closest, and he was gonna be the one she struck, hoping that she could warp out before he countered her.
"You shut up… ABOUT CALLION!!!!!!" Opherla yelled as she charged at Quash, launching two spinning kicks right for his head, as each kick SLAMMED into his face, as she put her weight behind each kick MASSIVELY to do as MUCH damage as she could! Once the kicks connected, Opherla suddenly vanished as she began to blitz Quash on all sides rapidly, her claws digging in to the Saiyan's skin with each time Opherla struck him, causing him to bleed in some areas before she then appeared next to Callion.
"RYUNOTSUME!!!!!!!!" Opherla yelled, firing a singular palm ki blast at Quash's face to deal as much damage as possible to him, as at the very least, the ki beam should push Quash back a good ways, as Opherla soon looked at Callion.
"Hey Cal! Hope that helped you some! Bye!" Opherla smiled sweetly, her attitude changing on a dime as she poofed, a cat plushie in her place as she was on the other side of a building from where she originally was, before dashing back to Serena the moment she was all done.
*If Opherla doesn't get hit by Quash…*
"Phew! Okay, needed to vent some, let's go!" Opherla remarked with a sigh of relief as she grabbed her jacket from Serena, looking to put it back on her person the minute she got out of range of the fight. She figured her attacks agitated Quash more than anything but, hey, every little bit helps, right? That's how Opherla saw it in her mind anyways, and in her mind, she pulled the ballsiest move she had ever pulled in her life and was sweating MEGA bullets after the fact!
'Okay! I am NEVER doing that shit again! Not until I'm WAY stronger!' Opherla exclaimed to herself, sweating bullets after that close call. Yeah, that was good advice to follow, Saiyan Opherla, shut your trap! Beastfolk Opherla, GET OUTTA DODGE, GIRLFRIEND!
