All Derrick really needed was for Taiyo to understand the assignment and to know that despite his own desire to grab some form of protection against the rising threats, he's still got some fight in himself, of course. It's still one of the main reasons as to why he's still even bothering wearing these ridiculously heavy weights. It might suck to have to constantly wear them around to do one's daily routine, but it's bound to make your entire body feel light as a feather when they're off. Still, it's good to know that he's now secured himself somebody with contact with the boss as well as someone at his back, even if he doesn't need his assistance at the moment, especially considering what he's going to have to do next.
"Good, I'm glad that you're rather eager to get things started, but there is currently no need for your services at the current moment," Derrick shoots down, "But of course if things change, I do still have your contact. If something does come up, I'll be sure to give you a call to assist me. For now, however, I do believe that I've had plenty of time off of my work. It was a nice little talk, Taiyo, and I hope to see you soon. Please keep in touch." With that said, Derrick moves from his spot and begins to head on down the sidewalk a few feet before rounding the corner and launching himself up into the air. If he's going to have to track that witness down again, he's going to need resources back at the Dirty Snakes HQ, and Taiyo doesn't need to concern himself with that dirty business. Perhaps in the future there might be an opportunity like that, but the nomad will have to get used to being stained first...
