Taiyo who had been lost in his own little world and not paying attention, didn't notice the man walk up to him right away. At first he simply looked at em and smiled before he spoke about if this was one of his favorite past times. Taiyo simply looked around himself before chuckling happily and merrily. No one had been to hurt, and everyone was on the road to a speedy recovery. The care was on fire sure, but that was easy enough to fix.

"Nah man. I just like to see people not getting hurt. Besides, that lady is safe."

Even as the car erupted for one final time, blowing Taiyo's clothing about him while he took another sip from his drink. He didn't flinch as it erupted, so calm and collected was he that everything would turn out alright. Not because he was some ultra fast super sonic warrior or a durable martial artist... No Taiyo just had faith he wouldn't be hurt and the explosion sent shrapnel everywhere but at him oddly enough. Whether by sheer fate, or perhaps it was luck? Either would work as the human looked back to Derry while the car gave a final sputter and began to burn in earnest.

"Names Taiyo, I'm just a No body. Nice to meetcha."

Taiyo stated despite not knowing the man's name. He could only guess but he was happy nonetheless to meet a new person. His slouched posture and friendly smile hide the grumbling of his stomach however and the man simply looked surprised before patting his belly then continuing to smoke while looking about the place. He was clearly just happy to be here, happy to exist and happy everyone was healthy. A good hearted man simply enjoying the sun.

Taiyo simply puffed on his roll up cigarette as the man asked him a rather blunt question, but despite his surprise he simply watched Derry with a puzzled look upon his face. He didn't know what he was asking specifically, and what he even did was a little rude but Taiyo simply brushed it off. Already having forgotten why he had been even roughly bothered within moments as he chuckled and  stepped out of an officers way while he watched everyone work.

"I am just a no body man."

Taiyo stated once more as he held the smoke in for a moment only for it to be blown out once more in a long drawn out sigh and drawn out breath.

"I don't do nothin. I just... roam ya know?"

Taiyo stated as he began to cough slightly, rubbing the back of his mouth while he just hung out. It wasn't till the officers started to call in a tow truck and move the wreckage that Taiyo moved off the road and stood on the side walk once more. His slouched posture and relaxed attitude clear enough he wasn't really in a hurry. He had no job to worry about, no family to feed, no dogs or cats to care for. He was just a content man living a content life.

His aura continued to roll off him in calming rays, but visually nothing was happening. Pedestrians, workers, and just the occasional driver waving at Taiyo who in returned waved back friendly as could be. His empathy aura helping to sooth everyone's mental pains while near Taiyo, like a beacon of positive energy, Taiyo simply was a rally place for people to feel good for a bit. He didn't even know he was doing it in truth, he just did it without meaning too. Probably explains why people just give him free stuff sometimes.

Taiyo said nothing as the man explained he was once a nomad when he was younger and the human listened with slack jaw attention. His whole world focused on Derry's tale until finally he was brought back by the question or rather a statement about his current wealth. In truth, Taiyo had married some lady a long time ago and she died leaving him a ton of money. He just didn't use it cuz he kept losing the card and gave up. He occasionally will pull money from an ATM to eat or sleep out of the rain.

He simply shrugged, his wealth wasn't great, it wasn't absolutely fabulously rich... But he was able to afford a home if he wished. But Taiyo was far struck by the wonder lust than ever stay in one region for long. 

"Well my wife died a while back, she left a ton of money that I use every once in a while to feed myself."

Taiyo stated before scratching under his left arm which revealed his duel Katana and Wakizashi, the blue and red a stark contrast to his green jacket and black shirt. 

"But I guess I am a nomad. I kind of just... started traveling one day and it... stuck. Met a lady, we settled down a year but I got bored and left. She understood and let me go. But now... Now I kind of wonder the world collecting weapons and styles."

Taiyo stated before shrugging as he finished scratching and his jacket once more concealed his weapons. The way they were against his sides made it hard to see them given the length of his jacket and the angle they were at.

"Anyways, Why you asking Derry?"

Taiyo finally asked, having finally gotten around to be curious or possibly pushed enough to ask the question of "why" was Derry so interested him. In truth, he was probably the least interesting guy here... At least in his own eyes. That lady with the poodle and stacked hair looks more interesting to look at. But hey, if Derry enjoyed talking to Taiyo, then Taiyo would talk. He didn't really mind, but it just did catch him a little surprised. It wasn't the first time someone had seen him and been interested in him. Many adults, teens, and children asked about his wondering a lot. Derry seemed however to be cranking up for something else, like he had a plan in his head and was letting Taiyo see that. 

Taiyo wasn't dumb, but he just didn't like complicated things. Simple made it easier and easier makes things fun.

Taiyo's eyes looked to the man as he spoke of his condolences only for the sword monk to shrug it off with a mentality of "it is what it is." Holding his cigarette out and flicking the ashes, he watched as the last remaining parts of the crash were fixed and the roads continued once more. The human tilting his head like a confused dog as the man spoke of being a body guard and being someone he didn't appear to be or something something? The man scratched the top of his head in thought while he tried to piece together what Derry just said.

"So you need a body guard right? And you think I got what it takes. Oh man Mr Derry sir. I dunno about none of that. I mean... I could really use the job though."

Taiyo placed a hand to his chin in thought while he looked about the area for signs. As if the universe was speaking directly to him, on a sign some distance away they were encouraging folk to recycle but in it the words saying "You can do it" was in one of the sentences right as Taiyo was listening. His foggy mind drawing inspiration from the nether like one would pull a sword from thin air. He wielded this thought to be confident in his answer to Derry.

"Aye Derry, I will work for you. But know I don't hurt kids, I don't do no stealin and I ain't gonna beat women. I'll defend ya and all you own within reason. I don't defend slavers or nothing of that ilk."

Taiyo stated with a bit of a lower tone, looking straight out into traffic while he spoke. He was being pretty inconspicuous while he simply gazed about lazily while he answered Derry.

"Buuuuut-(belch)"

Taiyo's next sentence was cut off by a belch that he didn't expect coming. The man near Taiyo suddenly backing up as the homeless man made a show of being gross.

"But yea man. You need someone to make sure no one hurts ya, I'm your man. Ain't no body sticking a knife in your back while I am on the clock no sir... or any time... on the clock or off I mean... er..."

Taiyo's earlier confidence ridden talk soon devolving into him awkwardly trying to remember what exactly it was he had thought about saying. The man shifting his weight to his left leg while he tried to think of what he was talking about, and why he was even trying to remember it. Eventually Taiyo looked to Derry before shrugging hopelessly confused.

"Er... what were we talking about again..?"

Taiyo asked suddenly feeling on the spot as he tried to hide his shame of forgetting mid conversation what they were even discussing. He thought he was over this but it seemed the green had other plans for the man today. Lowering his head and shaking it shamefully, Taiyo spoke up.

"My bad man, sometimes I just... get lost in thought and forget what I am saying. Apologies. I ain't stupid I just... get forgetful sometimes. Hope thats cool Derry."

Taiyo stated, looking off into the distance a bit in uncomfortable awkwardness born of insecurity and fear of rejection. Taiyo was not one to usually try to fit in, he just kind of did or didn't. Here he felt like he HAD to fit in now. He was a little intimidated by that. This was his first actual job in nearly a decade. He felt worried.

Taiyo chuckled in embarrassment while Derry spoke and simply shook his head when asked about the scouter or phone. He didn't have a need for one till now, but with his rejoining of society, he might as well get into it. Slowly the man looked about the place before seeing an electronic store nearby. He wanted him to get some form of communication, Taiyo could bum a few dollars off the atm for that he was sure. He returned his gaze to Derry before gesturing to the electronic store. 

"I'll go grab one. Wait here a moment."

Taiyo gestured with a thumb point towards the electronic store down the street some ways. It was across the street and down a ways but still visible from their position.

"Just wait here a moment."

With that, Taiyo turned to start jogging towards the electronic store. At first one would think he was simply going to wait till traffic stopped going now that it was in full swing, but Taiyo simply jumped up and over the road as if he was on strings. His jump was floaty, as if he was a cloth in the wind but still had to come down eventually. He did so right on the door step of the electronic store where everyone walking there watched in shock and awe as the man who just jumped across a whole street walked into the store. Mind you martial artists were known to exist, but people flying about was still pretty uncommon to see every day.

It took but fifteen minutes before he came out with a brand new cellphone. Some new capsule corp model that was all light up and touch screen. While extremely expensive, like a small fortune, Taiyo carried it about like any other object. Slowly flying over the streets once more to land near Derry with a little "mmph" though he didn't hurt or anything. Just Taiyo doing unnecessary noises like some old man.

"Alrighty, I got this... Uh... 'capsule corp Ai 9'? I dunno. Its suppose to-"

"Hello. Welcome to capsule Corp network. My name is Bella. I am your AI assistant. If you-"

Taiyo would place his hand over the phone speaker while looking at Derry and rolling his eyes.

"Fucking phones man. They are way to complicated. I told em I just wanted a phone to call people. So they give me one that can speak nine languages and talks to me."

"I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch that. Please Enter your username and Password."

Taiyo's face went dead pan as he groaned his frustration. Slowly fiddling with it while it spoke instructions to him, occasionally seeming to get louder when Taiyo fucked up. Once done, Taiyo stuffed the thing in his pocket a little frustrated.

"Stupid things. Hate phones."

Taiyo stated before stretching and looking to Derry for further instructions. Taiyo had money, he just didn't feel like it was HIS money. He didn't earn it and he only used it on things he would keep for a long time or if he was really hungry. Frankly if he didn't need it, he would probably donate it away. But unfortunately Taiyo was stuck with his dead wife's fortune.

Taiyo watched as Derry began to fiddle with the tiny box machine (which he gets Derry to turn the AI off) where he finally got his number in it and Taiyo set it to a funny little ring tone with a dumb goofy laugh. With that out of the way, Taiyo waved and nodded in approval. So working when the boss felt he needed it or perhaps someone else there to discourage possible violence? Hell yea, he got to beat up bad guys who wanted to beat up Derry AND hang out with his friend?

"Sure thing man! That sounds awesome!"

Taiyo stated before holding out his hand to have it shaken, the human was glad to have a friend now and a job. Perhaps friend was to strong a word, but to Taiyo it was the meaning of someone who was nice to you. Taiyo didn't feel his back crawling around this guy and could tell he wasn't all bad. Something about him did give Taiyo the stops a moment, giving him pause in his considerations. Not that Derry had done anything to warrant such behaviors.



The human simple had some instinct to watch himself and not get Derry upset. Perhaps it was the animal part of his brain registering just how strong Derry was by his stance and some invisible force Taiyo couldn't explain. As he stood there looking Derry up and down, examining him as a warrior closer. The sword monk's eyes trailed down Derry for the briefest of moments as he considered the deal. He felt a bead of sweat form on his temple as he chuckled his nervousness.

"You know Derry... You are pretty strong aren't you?"

Taiyo asked, he had absolutely no way of knowing this was true, but some deep instinctual part of Taiyo's swordsman's heart told him to be weary of Derry. It was like if a dog was standing next to another one only for instinct to kick in abruptly just how fierce the other dog might be. He couldn't help but in his minds eyes fold his ears down in submission on an instinctual level of strength. But shaking himself from that, Taiyo had never moved from his spot. He rubbed the back of his neck as he returned his gaze to Derry once more, unburdened by the warrior's analyzing eye.

While he didn't say anything, he felt he had tension in his body for a moment. His warrior eye having shook Taiyo on a deeper level, and he didn't like that sensation. He didn't like feeling inferior to Derry. While it was no malicious sensation, all of this was quickly wrapped up in his mind. He quickly discarded such notions quickly in that small span of a few moments.
