...Liari was resolute in her decision. She had the power and the knowledge to make this planet run the way she wanted it to... It was just a matter of doing it. The changelings in her blood compelled her to take control now while the iron was hot, to shape this planet and its pathetic excuses for residents to her own vision! After all, she DESERVED it. SHE was superior! The saiyans alongside them concurred... if only for what that attempted conquest would mean: conflict. Battle. Victory. Liari had craved power when she was a child, to stand above all because... why not? It was something to do! It was FUN! Punching someone in the face felt GOOOOOOOD! ...But now that she was there, she had nobody she could really unleash on. Either she would obliterate them in a punch... or she would have to hold back so much that it was more of a chore than anything else! Suffice it to say, Liari was EXTREMELY bored and if it meant rending the current establishment up and installing herself as ruler to get some kind of resistance?
...If it would stave off the maddening NOTHING going on right now, then certainly she would. More power. More strength. More... More... MORE!
...And so, the majin would begin her conquest at the economic heart of the planet: East City. Liari hovered above it all, her arms crossed, her eyes narrowed. Where to begin...? Practically, blowing a hole in the city wasn't going to be great if she was actually going to rule this rock. ...And yet, something needed to be done in order to grab the population's attention.
Sigh
Sacrifices were a necessary step in obtaining power... or so the changelings within her assured. Weep not for the weak and the stupid or you'll be crying all day. Keep your eyes on the prize... TAKE what you want... Once it's in hand, the world is yours to shape.
Liari's body would SWELL... and then SPLIT, her body RIPPING in two before regenerating fully, TWO majin now hovering in the air! They would smirk together before one would level its finger towards the ground, fragging a yellow beam up along the main road though the center of the city, UPSWELLING the ground around it in a BURST of yellow energy! The concrete would SURGE and BURST open, spraying rock, energy and metal across the now fleeing populous, buildings trembling and tipping over as their foundations were compromised, smashing into new buildings and adding falling sheets of pane-glass to the havok! The clone's finger smoked as a result of the shot, the original nodding in approval at her precision before taking a deep breath.
...She would need her full lung capacity to ensure she was heard.
"EARTHLINGS: HEAR ME." Liari bellowed, her voice reverberating over the city as if spoken through the world's largest megaphone! "MY NAME IS LIARI. I AM THE MIGHTIEST THING ON YOUR WORLD... OR SHOULD I SAY... MINE. SUBMIT... AND YOU WILL LIVE UNDER ME. RESIST... AND YOU WILL DIE."
The clone would slowly lower herself down into the city's bounds, landing softly upon the now destroyed central road, her eyes glowing sanguine, her body aflame with her deep red aura!
"...Decide." The clone chuckled, staring down at the shocked, distraught and fearful masses! "...If you thought that blast was anywhere close to my full ability... you're wrong. Bow before me. Pledge your loyalty... and I promise things like this... will never come to pass again." She gestured to the ruined road, the battered and bleeding humans, the buildings ready to collapse. "...All it takes... is submission and this all goes away."

Life was strange.
One would think that once you could reach a certain level of power you could just pretty much skim through the trivialities or that the very struggles and challenges you would face would be very different. Even now in his mind there was a mirror that led back into a different dimension, one where the very space and time flew differently; one that led into the very memories that still plagued Nasu, each and every day. He was not always a mind with so many thoughts, there were days where innocence and playfulness were all that he had; truly, he did not ever get to know his parents, they were gone.
Last thing he knew they were just gone, they had to have been Saiyans but frankly there was no one that was openly honest about them. He did not understand if they just did not want him to know or if perhaps there was something else entirely behind this, were they bad people? Villages were small and niche communities, but that also meant that they also had very little time for troubles and things like that. Most of the time if someone was a bad person and caused mischief, they would be exiled from the village being a small community they could not afford to spend resources on them, and thus many of them were simply sent away and should they have a chance to return, if they were discovered, guards and the like would deal with them.
That was the result of living in a small village, one where jails and more would require too many resources while most people were already struggling to make a living. He would not have called anyone poor in his village only because everyone did everything they could to live and thrive, they were extremely humble but as a result of this they were also very careful with whom they would trust. That led Nasu to believe his parents could possibly have been exiled, for one simple reason: no matter how far he looked into his memories, not one name or image was engraved into any stone or word that he could ever recall.
He did not know if their names were meant to be erased, but even he would find that much cruel for a child, not to even know the truth behind his parents. But nevertheless he did not hold anything against them for doing so, when many of them sheltered him with love. For some reason the latter was an element that was always there in his life, he could always remember someone being there for him, they looked out to him, so much that at times it could even feel suffocating. The very grips of love were endless and yet they were something that he sought to abandon, that chance that someone would look after him simply tired him, but not simply because of a teen’s angst, but his loss simply made him feel weak, powerless even.
They were gone, and that was all he knew. For some reason, such an event made it hard for him to really feel surprised whatever life threw him one or two unsavory events into his face. What was there to be surprised about? He knew from the very start that life was not as streamlined or easygoing as others would lead you to believe, he accepted that fact with every responsibility in his mind and yet it was still hard to really believe that just anything could happen and that your life had the chance to change from one day to another.
But just that happened.
His eyes finally opened and once more he expected to find himself where he had decided to pack his things and sleep for the night, but that was not the case. This time all he found was darkness, no colors but he could see some shadows and shapes. There was a slight sense of awkwardness in his mind, as if he felt out of place, he was pretty sure that he would have at least seen the moonlight if it was that early in the morning. But when he gave a better look, he could see traces of light exposing themselves through cracks over something that laid ahead of him.
“What the hell? I am pretty sure I should be...”
A few possibilities came to mind once he spoke to himself, could it be that he had something to drink and he just forgot the last night entirely? No, it could not be. Nasu was quite rigid on discipline, there was no way he would drink without cause for celebration. After all he had fallen asleep around the outskirts of a city, then what was this place? But it was not long before he heard a voice, once more, much like the other day when he met Rhapsody. It was the same voice, it instructed him to heed, yet it was still far. Far enough that he could not exactly tell whose tone it was, until it once more spoke to him. The light burned bright until the outskirts of the forest were once more visible to him, yet just barely, and a presence approached with a loud thump each step.
“What are you?”
It was the first thing he would ask, being able only to see its shadow. It looked like a reptile very much, except it was a hundred times more massive, with crimson eyes that spied him. He could not tell for the life of him what the hell was currently staring at him, but he was officially feeling uncanny. For once he saw a beast that he did not think he could conquer, not even with his sword, if he even had it with him in this dream.
“Heed my words, Warrior.”
…
Many particles flew by. It was hard to tell if it was debris, fire or something else entirely. Perhaps it could very well be the life of the many innocents that had just lost their lives, it was impossible to have a number but it did not take one with energy sensing to realize it. However it would not be as difficult as picturing each and every particle as a drop of blood that joined together in a storm, that would eventually flow away into the river, carrying the memories and hopes of the dead. After all, what else did the dead have?
Nothing. Once you were dead nothing mattered anymore. You could have possibly had regrets, dreams or goals but there would be no way you were going to accomplish those anymore. That was how final and terrible death truly was, and yet it was delivered so freely in just one fell swoop. There was no telling if many of them even realized what was going on a second prior to the blast’s impact, they would just never wake up.
And by then of course Nasu was already awake. Not by the explosions’ impact thankfully, he had woken up a couple of minutes before the tragedy after the dream had run its course. In the exact moment his eyes had opened, this time for real, he did not exactly know what to think. This was the first time he remembered a dream this clearly, and yet there was something strange; the scenario was nearly identical. When he looked up at the trees, the rocks and more, they were in the very same place he had spotted them in the dream with the only exception that there was a mysterious shadow or fog, much like in a video game when the area was still locked for the player.
Was it really a dream? It could have been a dream and perhaps his mind did all the work. But it did not matter, there was something wrong in the air, and as a matter of fact, then it occurred. Nasu did not know what to expect and what he bore witness to was terrific, it was only one building but he was sure he had not seen that amount of destruction before. Even then, he did not get any type of flashback to the day everything burned away in his childhood. That one was a raid but the destruction was left to a minimum until hours later when the entire village had been taken into custody.
This was something else. His first instinct was to run of course, for the building that exploded but soon he lifted himself off the ground instead and began flying in the near zone. He did not know what was going on but by now Nasu was already caught in the eye of the storm, all he could do was at least try to get an idea of what was going on. In all of this, he did not of course even consider his senses, until a massive pitch suddenly broke through his ears causing him to nearly stumble back and close his ears with both palms.
“Who?!”
The announcement came for all earthlings, and that was when he could just not understand who was talking. An introduction as the mightiest of all of course attracted his attention and finally gave him a moment to relax and try to get a sense for the situation and when he did, he deeply felt regret. It was twisted, it was not just overwhelming because of its power but together with the speech, it was something else. He was not sure if there was something about the energy itself but it was almost like it could carry a message, perhaps some would see it as an animal’s instincts that would warn them of danger, and that was what kicked in Nasu right then.
This was dangerous. The place, the situation and the people. He had never even heard of such power, he could not even dream of it, he was so… insignificant compared to it. It gave birth to a tornado of fire inside Nasu’s stomach, one that was slowly expanding across his body, but it was not the kind of flames that would steer one on moving forward with one’s determination or anger, no; it was a twisted and sick fire that was stunning his senses from top to bottom.
In the many years that passed there was never any doubt; he knew he had the courage to face what laid before him, but this was on another scale entirely. The reaction was entirely different and it was sickening; a part of him was suddenly having an identity crisis and another was strangely excited. There was something in his blood that was connecting every dot and said dots were nothing more than every day of his life. Could he have lived his days to witness and confront such might? His Saiyan blood simply could not take it; that somebody so strong existed was beyond comprehension.
He snapped out of it when the words of the earlier dream visited him once more.
“Steel your heart before readying your arms.”
He had to calm down before taking action.
But he thought about it: what could he truly do? He had no chance against Liari, that much was for certain and thus he was left only with straws; there was only so much he could do without potentially wasting his life and doing nothing for the sake of others.
He took pride not in his strength but in his strength in saving others, then perhaps, all he could limit himself to do for now was a rescue operation. If he was to confront Liari he had no certainty any of them would make it out alive and besides, once dead, there was no way he could save them any longer.
Sadly this also left a mystery; who was going to deal with the Majin? That much he did not know, but while he made the run for the building and began to dig and retrieve civilians from debris, that thought would stay in his head. He had to make sure not to waste a single second, there was no time to waste.

Serena had an awesome day! She Ate food she never had before and met so many humans that it was insane! She got to hold a puppy! The little thing had been the highlight of her day and she would always remember it until the day she died. She already had plans to build or buy a house and return for the little puppy to keep around for a friend! Of course life had a way of changing all that in an instant. She had barely gone more then 20 paces from the pet shop when she felt a massive power level above the city. Its Power was immense, so immense that Serena froze in her tracks, scared to the point she didn't even blink. This was insane. How could anything like that Exist? But what made it worse is the Power level was also Familiar to her as it had been what was missing from her. Suddenly she felt the split of power between two different beings. Both power levels still didn't feel any weaker to her since she was just that much weaker.
But she was suddenly Shocked when she felt the power surge and it charged up its KI blast to fire down into the city. Serena knew two things: one there was no way she could survive this if she was hit by it. It was also impossible for her to dodge it if she was the target of such an insane attack. So she looked around her at all the people and did the one thing she could do that might make an impact on something. She screamed “” GET DOWN!”” to everyone around her and was honestly surprised when a few actually did just that but for the most part the Red Majin was ignored. Raising her hands into the air she Created the biggest Ki barrier she could surrounding all the people nearby her, the red shield flaring brightly.
To say she was lucky was an understatement. The blast hit near her but far enough that her Ki barrier held up vs the explosion that washed over it but only just barely. The people inside could only watch in horror as the city around them suffered the effects of the blast and watched people die in droves. Serena herself watched a man just outside her barrier cut off from his child by the barrier literally get vaporized much to her and his child's Horror. She could finally drop the barrier and look around her as the dust settled. The buildings were on fire. So many screams assaulted her eardrums, some buildings slowly collapsing with people inside.
She only hesitated for a moment before she leapt up into the air and looked around her seeing where she could help the people around her. The sight sent a surge of hate through her body to whoever had done this to these people even if she could not do anything about it. Steam billowed from her arms as she vented her anger the only way she could. Suddenly a voice or scream more like it echoed through the city making her turn her head to look up at the voice above her and listen to their rant. How did they justify this? How could she just want to kill so many for the power to just rule she didn't get it at all. “” Liari” she said the name under her breath as she filed it away. This was that Evil Ascull wanted to protect his people from and why he was training to get stronger all the time. She finally understood it all. Her anger was pushing her power level ever Higher.
Shaking her head she knew she could no longer hesitate while so many people around her were suffering. She suddenly flew off straight at a building that was on fire through a window then a wall to find people in the building and get them out. She could sense their power levels making it easy for her to just break walls down to get to them and shield them from the flames. This was a process she knew would take time but it was better than letting the people die. Placing a Woman down on the street a few moments later she felt a small pain in her back followed by a loud noise. What was that? She turned slowly to face a police man who had shot her with his pistol, his eyes wide with fear. “” LEAVE YOU MONSTER!”” It took her a moment to understand that he was blaming her since she was a Majin like the one in the sky.”” WAIT I..” as she spoke He took several more shots that made huge noise through the street “”” BANG BANG!”” She suddenly took off into the air and growled She was not a monster! But a pit had fallen into her stomach as she floated ever higher into the sky.

Hail’s body rocketed through the air like a heat-seeking missile, leaving a trail of crimson energy in his wake as he caused water to split and splash up into the air by the sheer force of his movement. His eyes focused forward as he started approaching what he was sure was East City. He hadn’t been on this planet long, but he’d learned enough about the biggest settlements to figure out where they were; usually, he just focused on the ki signal of so many earthlings staying in one place. Now, though, he couldn’t even pick them out at this distance, not with the overwhelming aura radiating from this place. Part of him wondered if he’d felt this presence on the planet before, but not using its power, at least not in such an outward way; how could he have missed it? A changeling with this level of power, the sheer magnitude of it. They were at least ten times Aisu’s superior, so who were they? This was at the very least, a major political upheaval. Perhaps, he could even see what their plans were. It was always a risk approaching a more powerful member of his people, but this was also an opportunity. He didn’t plan on missing it. He rocketed closer and closer, his eyes widening as he finally saw what was happening. Hail touched down onto the roof of a still-intact skyscraper, his boots landing with a clack as he witnessed the destruction below. There were buildings lying in ruins, roads and streets ripped apart, and many Earthlings laying all over the place. With the sheer weight of the power in this area, he couldn’t tell which of them were living or dead. He’d witnessed destruction like this before, that was true, and it did seem awfully familiar. This was reminiscent of many changeling tactics, used to cow a populace so they would bend the knee before the PTO. Yet, it was so confusing. How could someone like this have existed in the organisation? They could’ve been Emperor whenever they pleased. Down there, he could see someone, with a higher level of power, rushing around, aiding the wounded Earthlings. Well, if there was nothing else to say, he could respect their level of community. They weren’t the type to leave each other to suffer. When you were of a lower level of power and had to deal with the danger of the predators around you, that was a logical and pragmatic way to do things. The group would survive, and the earthling race would continue. He was beginning to understand more and more as time went on. Unfortunately, they weren’t what mattered here. His neck started to crane upwards. It was the changeling who- Hail’s eyes widened. That wasn’t a Changeling. What the hell was that? His eyes stayed transfixed on Liari, or at least Liari’s clone, as he tried to decipher what kind of creature it was. He knew about the diversity of Earthling appearances, but that was certainly no native. Especially when he sensed her energy, and it felt so similar, familiar. It felt like one of his people, almost, but shifting, in between transformations, as though it was two changelings. That was an odd sensation, but he’d detected it before. However, this was certainly not the same. It wasn’t even the same species! There was a sense of dread that overcame him as he looked upwards in stunned silence, awe and confusion enveloping him all at once. This being eclipsed every member of his race that was alive, that had perhaps ever lived. What did he do in this situation? He’d gathered no intelligence that something like this even existed. He tried to calm down, tried to focus. After all, he was gathering intelligence now, wasn’t he? It was his duty to figure out what this was, to understand it. There were more beings below, helping the civilians. His attention was focused elsewhere, however. He stayed on the building, thinking through his options. She did act almost like one of his people, in an odd way. Perhaps there was something to that. Hail waited, curious to see if she would follow through on simply trying to take this city, or if this being was far more instinct than logic. Perhaps it would’ve been smarter to maintain more of a distance, but it was hard to think straight right now. Not with all that was happening. WC: 741

WC:470 | Items: N/A | Bonuses: Wealthy (+10% zeni gain), Rookie bonus (+65% pl gain), Super Heavy Weights (+75% pl gain) Here in East City, it was just like any other normal day for Derrick. At the current moment, he was still overseeing the construction of his little base here in the city thanks to Mayvair's recommendation, and though he had to pull his own funds in order to get the place up and running due to the strange absence of previous employers like Zero, it at least was work the mob boss was proud of. Of course it isn't as glamorous as the place up in North City, but it was quite the start indeed.
That is, until a sudden explosion and hundreds of screams rang out through the air. Immediately the Dirty Snakes constructing and restructuring the place immediately turned around to see what all of the commotion was about, to which Derry raises his hand up to them and orders, "Hold it boys, I'll go see what's up. If the front o' this building ain't got the new supports installed by the time I get back, I swear..." He doesn't even finish his threat as a loud, booming voice echoes throughout the city, demanding that everybody bow down before... "Liari?" Derrick mutters under his breath before immediately taking off towards where all of the commotion is.
By the time he arrives at the whenever, it seems like people are already starting to get a bit busy. Liari was of course present, but she certainly looked a bit different from when they last spoke with each other, and on the other side of this conflict lies a saiyan and another majin. He hadn't even noticed the changeling as he approaches the big blue blob and raises his hands up into the air and waves them. "Blueberry!" He shouts, "been quite a while hasn't it? Certainly looks like you've changed a bit since then, eh? And I'm not exactly referring to the fact that there's two of ya now. Hey look, if you're planning on this whole 'take over the world' sort of thing, going this sort of route you're goin' for just ain't gonna cut it, ya know? Trust me, I know how business works, after all. I can give ya some pointers since you might need 'em."
In reality Derrick was just attempting to either get on Liari's side so that he would be spared if anything happens or to buy a bit of time if anybody is capable of showing up. Even if he doesn't know how strong these newcomers are, he doubts they would be able to take on the Blueberry over there.

East City, it wasn't exactly the nicest of the cities on Earth but it was a location that Athren had been spending a lot more time at recently and that decision was tied to one single individual. His better half had a very solid investment in East City and it was where she had spent most of her time, so it was only natural for him to be there too. Though, today wasn't a day that could've been predicted for the events were going to pop off in a very literal explosive type of way. Currently, he was simply out running some errands around the town and doing a little bit of personal shopping. There was one Earthling tradition that he had a certain interest in, one that would heavily involve her. In fact, he was even browsing around debating on whether or not to make the purchase. Though it was a rather happy moment and he found peace in his activity, it didn't take long for it to be ruined, for the day to turn into a complete shit storm. First, he felt it. He felt the incredible power from the being who was about to attack the city. It was strong, it left a hollowness in his stomach and an excitement in his heart and he somehow knew that this person, this individual was the one Zerori had told him about, the crazy one who held their little tournament in an effort to stroke their own ego. Athren of course, was going to find this person and put an end to them but it appeared that today, this individual had found him instead and unluckily for them, he just so happened to be in East City, he just so happened to be there when they had decided to attack. As he was browsing, the sudden burst of power would force him to stop what he was doing and arch a brow and it didn't take long for the entire building to shake, vibrating aggressively as a portion of the city exploded. The loud BANG was followed by buildings shifting, toppling down into the remaining streets below, the people began to run and scatter as their screams became louder than the initial bang. A large cloud of dust would blow out from the explosion, rapidly covering the streets in dirt, dust and debris. Even the people in the store he was in would get up after the initial shake, fleeing from their position of safety underneath the desks to run for their lives somewhere outside. Yet, Athren would remain completely calm on the outside. On the inside, it was pure excitement. This was the type of chaos he was born into, bred to fight in, it was who he was. He calmly walked out to the streets, though he didn't have a visual on the individual yet he could hear her words clearly. There was something about her words that pissed him off. Whether it was the fact that she claimed to be the mightiest thing on the planet, or the fact that she demanded that everybody live 'under' her, hell, maybe it was just the simple fact of the attitude behind it all but Athren wasn't going to stand for it. This city wasn't hers and the planet sure as shit wasn't either. "Submission? You want fucking submission?" Athren stated aloud rather quietly, still missing the visual on her. Without seeing her, Athren had a very mastered Ki Sensing ability, and not only could he sense the extent or her RAW power but the signatures of others who were stuck inside of her. He couldn't help but think back to specific words from Pybara about the Spirit Fission. It seemed as if it were almost the perfect situation to test his new technique out. Not only was he keeping track of Liari's power but the power of another individual in the city. He felt multiple strong power levels all around him, though none could quite compare to himself or Liari. Though he could confirm that Zerori had still been in the city and was rather close and besides his own life, she was his primary concern. She couldn't go through this again, not without him. He wasn't going to let it happen. She was going to make it out of this, the city would be rebuilt and everything was going to work out the was it was supposed too. That, he could be sure of. Though before he would engage and make an appearance to the threat, he was going to power up first. He needed to be ready. With a deep and slow exhale of breath Athren's power level would calmly show itself. Though there was an elegance to this, a calmness. Not even the debris or the city streets around him would vibrate, he had perfect control over his power. Drawing out more of his power as he attempted to tap into his Demonic Aura, Black lines would begin to appear on his cheek and above his eyebrows as his power level would begin to rise. His fists would clench tightly as unleashing this transformation did take some effort, it wasn't something he put a lot of time into, it wasn't something he had learned to master. It was a new step in his evolution, one he had only recently acquired. His fists clenched tighter and tighter, as his aura flared up around him. Blinking to a shade of purple every few seconds as he was trying to ascend. His tone deep as he grunted, releasing the tension vocally with a grunt.
"GRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAA.......RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.........AAAHHHHHHH!" He knew that he needed to let it all out, there wasn't any room for error, any room for playing with his target. He needed to put this bitch in her place, destroy her, remove her from the Earth completely. It was now or never. Whether he'd be alone in this fight or not, didn't matter. His goal was set. He'd DESTROY Liari.

After all her hard work, all the agonizing training she’d done - Zerori needed a fucking BREAK. Her muscles ached and even those muscles ached, every movement making her groan and hiss in pain to the point where she had to actually ask for Korn to try and alleviate some of the pain. After about five minutes, however, she just couldn’t take it anymore - he was terrible at any sort of self-care and it showed. Not that she was any better at it. Instead, Zerori was cooped up in her apartment - pillow upon pillow stacked up under her small of her back and head to try and soothe the aches until she could take a proper nap. Just as she could feel the whispers of sleep helping her to doze off, the sudden violent shudder of what felt like a small earthquake jolted her awake. Eyes wide with shock and concern, Zerori looked around instinctively before she gave a groan and tried to reach out with her sense to see just what the actual fuck was going on THIS time.
When she felt the familiar swell of power reach her, Zerori couldn’t stop the immediate sinking feeling that made her heart drop into her stomach, Already?! HERE?! The fear she felt not just for herself but for her city - her home - elicited an almost toxic feeling of hatred. How dare you… How fucking dare you?! She knew Liari had promised to kill her and she might have even known that this was where she lived and this was a very obvious plot to smoke her out. But if it was, there were only two choices she could make. Flee or make a stand and this time, stick WITH it.
Heart pounding in her chest, Zerori looked over at Korn who had been eating away at a turkey leg before he’d obviously felt the tremors. That was when she heard Liari’s voice echo through the city with incredible volume, enough that she’d winced. While her demands made more sense than last time, likely a result of her thinking more clearly about how she wanted to go about trying to ‘rule the world’, all Zerori could hear was that same kid-like voice as if it had only grown up physically.
Zerori ran a hand through her hair, the corner of her lips upturning in a snarl before she stood up sharply and turned back to Korn, “Don’t let the place fall apart,” She sternly ordered, receiving only ‘hmph’ before he threw up a thumbs up and went back to eating. After she’d left his sight, however, she’d add in, “-AND HELP GET SOME OF THESE ASSHOLES OUT OF THE CITY!” Causing him to choke, tentatively beating his still healing chest before she was gone out the door.
… .. .
Outside, Zerori could see people panicking as they rushed away from the direction of the attacks. Her eyes narrowed in the direction it had come from and, although it was difficult to tell, it appeared that some opposition had already begun to gather at ‘Ground Zero’. Her lips twitched upwards in a smirk as she also felt another familiar and overreaching power nearby and turned her head in his direction, “Preparing for your entrance, Lone Wolf? Up to me to set the stage, then,” She spoke softly, turning back in the direction of Liari’s destruction and bounding off of whatever she could find to quickly close the distance.
Her progress was… significant but she didn’t hold a single delusion: Liari could wipe the floor with her. She wasn’t alone, however, and even if she might have to worry about the ones that had come to face Liari - her resolve remained steady with the knowledge that Athren was here. As she rushed through the city, the swell of pride in her heart told her that finally - FINALLY - it was time to let her true persona shine. It was time… for The Red Doll. Magic coursed through her blood as her casual attire would be overtaken by a swirl of blue data-like motes of light that would encompass her body - revealing an instant later her signature red armor. Before she’d only used it at night for business, but now it was time to finally make the claim she’d always had official on this city.
Arriving at the scene, Zerori in all her armored (and hopefully disguised) glory would be perched upon the top of a car that had been flipped on it’s side in the aftermath or her attack and look up to not one but TWO figures that looked (and felt) like Liari. Then, taking a look around, Zerori was able to quickly surmise the ones who’d be here before her. A red-skinned majin girl, doing her best to protect the weaker citizens of East City only to apparently be shot at by a police officer that mistook her for the enemy. A rather strong-looking warrior also trying to lead the citizens to safety - although with much less violent prejudice. While the girl had flown into the air to avoid a confrontation, Zerori wouldn’t hesitate to call to the officer, “What the fuck are you doing?! Get these people OUT of here!” She yelled at him, seeing his look at her in fear before he rushed off. “Tch, annoying…”
When she looked back, Zerori could see a familiar face and nearly laughed at Derry’s attempt to try and reason with Liari, Well, that would explain how he’s manage his business for so long, She didn’t even have it in her to be mad at him because she was hardly worthy to judge. Even so… She turned her attention to Liari and her clone, crossing her arms.
“Hey there! You look to be the one trying to take over my fucking city,” Zerori snarled, raising her voice for good measure to be heard. Her power began to gradually rise, her hair visibly moving as if to an invisible wind as she finished, “NOT today, bitch! By the end of the day-” She held out her right hand, fingers splayed open before dark red and black energy would surge along her arm to form large paws of magical energy. She did the same with her other arms as dramatically as she could before she grinned and adopted a stance, “-you’re gonna be submitting to ME!” Behind her, summoned but hidden within her armor until she was ready to use them, Zerori's vectors would bubble up along her back - at the ready to perform a good 'ol fashioned beat-down.

...And like ants, the soldiers sallied forth from the wreckage of their mound once Liari had finished stepping on it. Some sputtered profanities, the faceless ones practically stumbling over each other to save what little they could manage... and some, like the changeling near the back, merely watched and waited. Perhaps the smartest choice for these "warriors" WAS to merely step aside, to allow history to be made lest they be crushed by the backlash. ...And then there were others, like Derry, that pink-haired snake... Liari hadn't seen him since that one fleeting day so long ago. Even this FAMILY-MAN had made an appearance!?
...It would have been amusing if Liari hadn't found it so ridiculous! Look! He was even offering his help in her conquering the world! Either he was betting his LIFE for power once the scheme of things changed... or he truly cared less than nothing for his reputation. Either way, the main clone would merely sneer at the gangster's offer, wagging a finger at him mockingly.
"Is that so...? How interesting that you presume to tell me how to dominate your own world. Selling out your own wife and child... how despicable." The deep-blue majin let out a cruel, sharp laugh. "...I don't believe I will have need of YOUR services... whatever those might be. Do feel free to kneel, though... Bow before my power... or get out of my way, would you? It would be such a shame if you don't get to see what is coming next."
...And indeed! The life of the party DID arrive! ...And it wasn't who she expected! Both Liari's, the clone on the ground and the original in the sky, STARED down at the approaching saiyan in wide-eyed recognition! Images of that warrior, that golden-haired saiyan Babadi had summoned.... It was THIS guy! Granted, he wasn't NEARLY as intimidating as he had been then, when Liari CRUSHED him as a child! ...And yet... There was a cool intensity to the man as he meandered through the rubble, the fire, the screaming. His eyes rested on nothing but the form of the massive blue majin.
"...Its... you." The clone whispered softly, her shocked expression slowly curling upwards into an arrogant smirk! "I knew we would meet in person... eventually. Shame it took a city burning to draw you out of your hiding spot." Liari would slowly clap her hands in mock celebration, rolling her eyes as the man threw her demands back at her, ASKING if she wanted submission!
"Oh, do skip the heroic one-liners, monkey. Or... could it be you are posturing for someone...?"
...And, like a charm, someone NEW arrived! ...Someone in armor. A woman, by the sounds of it, crudely CURSING Liari's city-conquering feats, promising to force Liari on HER knees by the end of today!
"Oh dear. I should have known." Liari sighed softly, shaking her head. "Heroes and their theatrics often come in pairs."
TOGETHER, the armored woman and the saiyan charged their energies, their powers doubling... TRIPLING... while the majin clone merely yawned!
...With Liari's power SO much greater than the pair's, even now, Liari would suddenly appear just behind both, one arm draped around the warriors' shoulders casually, her sanguine eyes staring at the armored women with casual intent.
"What an interesting move." Liari yawned, noting how her armored hands were now coated in claw-shaped energy. "It reminds me of someone I used to know... You wouldn't happen to know someone named 'Zerori...' would you...?" The majin would pause, allowing the question to set in before gently squeezing her shoulder, threatening to crack the pauldron!
"Eh... must be some kind of coincidence..." She sighed softly, lifting her arms from both warriors' shoulders and causally strolling ahead of them... before slowly rising up so that she hovered slightly above the ground! "Since you insist we fight here, let us take it to the sky, hm...? It would be such a shame that hundreds upon thousands must die for your egos." ...And with that, the clone would SHOOT UP towards the sky, stopping once she was level with the original and waited for the pair to follow.
"Come on then." The clone beckoned, egging them on. "I don't expect you to understand what my plan is... but it doesn't matter..." SUDDENLY, the clone's aura would BURST to life all around her, the force of it's sudden appearance sending a SHOCKWAVE across the sky, tinting it pink! "YOU WILL DIE FOR IT ALL THE SAME!"

The air burned. Each time he inhaled, it simply exploded within his lungs and only left a scarring burn throughout his lungs; was he inhaling ashes or was it the tension at hand here? Hard to say, while experienced after a manner, he was so totally inexperienced as well. He doubted he had ever witnessed something of this kind in the past, it was simply out of this world for him. Or perhaps, he was out of the world of those involved here. How else could someone so strong exist without him having never had to acknowledge it? He was clearly in a league far behind any of these individuals, which left a sour taste in his mouth. He had trained for a long time but to what purpose? Frustration itself was easily building up by this moment, it was just overwhelming.
Of course he would not remain still, he could not slack off in such a situation, not when he was there for it. By the time he had arrived by the place, his eyes shifted up and down and tried to catch a better sight of the building. It was of course demolished and gone, but those few that could make it yet needed saving, therefore he rose up to the building with his flying and slowly began to pull them out. Some of them required extra care, others could not exactly walk that much either.
There were many and different kinds of individuals. Elderly, women, and even kids. Many of them were confused, shocked or dizzy even but if anything he was pulling them out, gradually and undisturbed thankfully. Each one of them looked desperate or scared, of course, and yet such began to fill him with dreadful memories of a past that yet shadowed him and his life. Why was it still there, after so long? He exhaled out sharply between one person to another, his breath being the only way to release his tension without losing it to his senses.
What was this strange empathy? It was like their emotions were reflecting off him and left the flames within his stomach engulf the entirety of his being.
Eventually, he ran out of people that needed saving. At least from what he spotted, and before long even more individuals began to gather to which he could calmly and clearly say that he knew none of them, yet none looked like they were allies with the Majin. Everyone was clearly against her, at least from what he could tell. Some were more neutral than others but nevertheless it was clear that Liari did not have many friends. Especially the latest two of the bunch.
“They seem to know one another. I can feel angst. I assume they must have some history, but nevertheless I can not tell just what is going through her mind.”
Liari amongst all was something he could not realize. A mere moment spent to feel her out and he could just tell there was something weird going on with her, if his eyes were closed, he would not be able to tell that it was a person ahead of him. It was more like a strange mixture of different things that was currently sentient. at least according to his senses. She was different from just anyone else in this immediate area. What she did first was refer to the pink haired man, but he could not really tell what they were on about.
“I am starting to feel like I am the odd one out here.”
The other two strongest people in the local area were clearly angry, and in their anger they began to unleash greater auras even. Some kind of power up, perhaps akin to how Saiyans could turn into apes, however even if there was a full moon Nasu doubted he could have done anything much in this case. He studied them well, to try and see if he could uncover some of the pieces missing in this strange puzzle and yet nothing came to mind. The male looked like a capable Saiyan warrior and his other half looked nearly as wild, yet he could not perceive whatever beef these three strangers must have had.
They left the ground and went for the skies, and even then Nasu wondered; what could he do now? Of course he could not repair a building, and if there were those two, he wondered if he was not going to be just a nuisance. But also a part of him reminded the man that he would never manage to live that down if he was going to leave this one out, especially given such strong individuals had gathered all in one place.
Thus, the Saiyan for one, also began flying off the ground and reached the rest, while the sky itself turned pink and left the man somewhat astonished. A strange show but one nevertheless and now that he was reaching closer, he stayed at a distance from either party, unsure about anyone’s intentions, he would at least focus his gaze on Liari for now.
“Let us say you manage to defeat everyone standing against you now. What do you intend to do after that? That is the one thing I can not understand. You must have a reason.”
What was so great about dominating Earth? Pretty sure it was only extra work for the average person or fighter, therefore his mind could not exactly grasp the reasoning behind any of these actions. He did not even know if Liari would provide an answer but he knew he could not just reach out to her, if it was that simple for any stranger to just get in the villain’s good graces and make them stop, this would not be happening, therefore it was just automatically useless in his mind to even try. However, the man spoke quite calmly and just eyed Liari with intensity, not outright aggression.
Jumping the gun would not have made any sense, even if he happened to be five hundred times stronger.

Post by Khyrop on Oct 20, 2022 21:50:50 GMT -5
Time was a fickle thing wasn't it, despite all that he gave to it there never seemed to be enough of it left for Khyrop. Even after the wild battle on the outskirts where most of his allies ended up dead, the Majin achieved even greater strengths although he was able to do the same on a much, much smaller scale. However, it couldn't be denied that Khyrop had come out of the event with more gained than lost as he became of considerable power despite the fact that there was still plenty out there who could give him greater than a fair fight. No, he wasn't the strongest by a long shot but now he had enough power to contend and hopefully find others worthy of assimilating. It was for that reason he hadn't been idle since that day, besides training here and there with Maycair he was surveying the planet looking for those with enough strength to be of noticeable strength. Although, it would entirely be an accident on today as he would come across exactly what he was looking for and more in an ironic twist of fate.
He had been flying high above the outskirts of the city, having taken his vitamins and thinking about looking for a new place to train, or maybe even a good meal to break away from the tediousness as he suddenly felt an immense and intense pressure coming from below him. As though he were a moth to a flame, or lightning to metal Khy couldn't help but turn his shimmering orange form downwards in the direction of the source he had sensed. It was familiar but as he got closer to it he noticed there were more energies than expected and of considerable strength.
"Need further data." He spoke coldly about it, but even as he flew down saliva started to build at the corner of his mouth as his body got excited at the idea of consuming stronger fighters than the one he had before.
When he broke through the clouds and saw the city below he easily understood what was going on as he came a bit late, seeing ki being fired around as people of multiple types moved around hoping to either escape or engage in combat with whoever was causing the damage. As the thought crossed his mind with his eyes and ears surveying around him all his senses locked in on who had brought forth this opportunity. The blue terror herself, on her own path once again to spread her sadism and fill her stomach.
"Heh." A brief smirk broke across his calculated expression for a moment as he couldn't help but laugh at how their paths had crossed once again, and how she created an opportunity that he could hopefully exploit better this time. "This doesn't appear to be a game this time, maybe, we can work to each other's advantage."
As he thought this he circled around the city for a moment quickly, seeing as two saiyans fought against Liari, and Liari? He had a double take before he noted both of them at the same time and he became impressed with the technique. Although as he looked down he couldn't help but see the others running about as he saw another majin, and a changeling. However, he hadn't expected to see another person he knew as Derry caught his sight. Khyrop hadn't met with the man since their last business meeting which had been before Khyrop absorbed Didgeridoo and grew to six feet and had his fur turn from red to orange.
"Whose going to show up next at this rate." He made a comment as he flew above Derry, flapping his arms and going past him knowing that he wouldn't have to worry about him at any other rate, maybe he'd even help the bat he thought. "Time to get down to business though."
With his mind refocused after gathering info on the battlefield, he would turn to head in the direction of Liari flying towards the sky where she had moved to continue her battle with them both. Although she stopped interference in her game he was sure that with more at stake here it would be easier for him to gain some leverage here with his plan. He moved in closer putting his speed into his energy and his wings pumping them until it would be obvious that he was within range of where the sky battle would take place and he would be able to make his point to her.
However, as he got closer to her there was a moment of pause as all of the sudden one of the weaker people in the area had suddenly come to have his own discussion with the majin. This caused the Bio-android to stop for a moment as he stood on the otherside behind him listening to what was being said. He knew what would likely be said in response to it all although he couldn't speak for her it was likely that she was here to destroy and gain strength as she had done before.
"You're either foolish or stronger than you let on, though statistics point towards the former." He would suddenly speak to Nasu as he flew up not hiding his own power level as he looked down at the other saiyans. "I can tell you this, regardless of what she does the end of this confrontation she will only end up stronger and I see no reason to stop her."
It might've sounded like opinion, but to him it was the fact there was no reason for him to try and stop her the chances were that against her he would likely end up dead, absorbed, or controlled so all logic within his mind pointed towards working together. His head turned towards Liari showing his same cold, observing expression as he moved to be infront of Nasu and closer to her should she accept.
"Like I said I don't mean to stop you, but I can also see you're busy and if you don't mind keeping me alive I can help keep away some of your distractions." He said to her with his eyes looking over to the female Saiyan who seemed full of vigor and fighting spirit. "We both have similar wants, similar hunger and like both lions and wolves more prey can be hunted with a group."

Post by Hail on Oct 21, 2022 4:51:40 GMT -5
Hail couldn’t help but feel a sense of deja vu in this situation. How many times now had he been on some planet that was meant to be governed properly by a Changeling lord, only for them to turn out incompetent, with some other lord being sent by Aisu to enforce their will and ensure that things weren’t going to result in a loss of profit. Always, he found himself in the exact same position as he did now. An observer with too much survival instinct to throw himself in there and start trying to talk down or fight one side. Yet, there were some differences here. Usually, his people liked to square off in one-on-one combat. There were rituals, duels of honour and all of that. He’d never cared for it much, but it was tradition, and by heaven, did the powerful ones like tradition. Right now, it looked as though this…blue creature was severely outnumbered, even with an exact copy of themselves floating around nearby. Not that it mattered. Hail could barely make out the ki signatures of those others who had chosen to confront her, and she overwhelmed them. Yet, his eyes widened again when he did notice them. There were two- no, three Saiyans up there, and at least one of them felt as though he’d be powerful enough to wipe the Emperor off the face of the planet - after reducing them to a mere stain on its surface, that was. What was going on? Since when did their race have the ability to access such power? It did feel like an unusual kind of Saiyan, that was true, but all of them felt like Saiyans just the same. Two of them had arrived together, so he could understand the female’s willingness to stand up and fight, even if the creature dwarfed them. What really irked him was when one, despite his relatively miniscule level of power, floated up there anyway, seemingly interested in confronting a being that may have been able to kill him with a glance. Why? Why would someone do that? Hail had seen him evacuating various civilians, which he could understand the logic of; this, however, defied all of his expectations. What was it about this planet, that affected people’s minds and made them do such stupid things? Clearly it had affected him enough that he was even here - this was a death trap, and any moment now, one of the more powerful creatures would look down, see him and vaporise his body for the sport of it. It was only now that it all settled in that fear started taking root in his heart, making his body freeze for longer than it should, his heart pumping faster and faster. Why shouldn’t he fear this? If the being up there felt like it, and happened to take a ship to PTO territory, it could mean the end of everything. Not just the organisation, the empire, but his entire race. All of his people could be gone in an instant, caught while they squabble amongst themselves and bully lesser races, pushing them down rather than bothering to raise them up as effective soldiers. Anything else. He had to focus on anything else. Hail’s hearing perked as he heard shouting from down in the street, a few people trying to rescue someone whose legs had been trapped by rubble. Perhaps he’d just do the pragmatic thing, as that Saiyan should have kept doing. Yes, he would do that. The changeling hopped off the side of the skyscraper he stood on, his descent only slowing a few feet from the ground as a small burst of energy blew dust up underneath him. The people standing there, who had once been trying to help him, stared at him, terrified. He couldn’t blame them - he was a rather alien looking being compared to them, even if he personally found Earthlings rather aesthetically pleasing. It didn’t help that he was a rather similar colour to the creature that had caused all this destruction, and that was capable of making clones of itself. Oh, well. No matter. Hail walked over, a few people backing away as he reached down, using a hand to easily lift the rubble up off the man’s damaged legs. The citizens continued to stare at him in confusion, as he tilted his head at them. ”Well? Go on, get him and clear off. I would not recommend sticking around here. Unfortunately, I don’t think this is going to end any time soon.” He glanced back up into the sky towards the gathering crowd of powerful fighters, while the injured man was carried away, allowing him to release the rubble, letting it slam into the ground. He was mindful before moving again, as yet another presence arrived. Another amalgam creature of some kind, this one looking more like a predatory, or perhaps parasitic, bit of earth fauna. This was only getting stranger every second, and he wasn’t sure how to approach it, if indeed, he was to approach it at all. Hesitantly, he floated up to yet another tall building, using it as his spot for observing what was going on. All sense, and every instinct, told him that he should be as far away as possible, the fear still running through his body only cementing that feeling even more. He crossed his arms over, not that he could look authoritative at all right now with how petrified he was behind the facade. His grip on one of his arms tightened as he watched the group coalesce even more, with the blue-skinned monster grabbing the shoulders of the saiyans, as though acting all chummy with them. This just looked like taunting to him, something familiar, reminiscent of home. It was all he could think about, if that power was unleashed beyond this little planet. He couldn’t let this happen. He couldn’t let this…thing destroy or dominate all around it, but what was he supposed to do? As though to answer his question, Liari’s energy suddenly burst from around her, forcing Hail to put his arms up in front of his face as though he was blocking an attack. The sheer force almost blew him off his feet even at this distance, and the sky became tinted pink from how much energy filled the air. The shockwaves, subsequent aftershocks of residual power and the wind force each generated slowly shifted him back, his feet sliding across the rooftop of the building he stood on. One of his eyes closed over as he had to focus on maintaining his position, and keeping an eye on what was to come. Even if he could be of no use in a fight, and no use to his people until he actually brought weight behind his words, he could do this. His duty, to gather information as he’d been assigned. He’d be a witness, if nothing else. Not like there was much else he could really be. WC: 1,169 TWC: 1,910

Post by Maycair on Oct 21, 2022 8:25:54 GMT -5
The air screeched, a sharp rip of a small blue demon shooting across the sky. Maycair had felt the gathering power, there were some truly strong people, but only two of them felt stronger than herself. It was intriguing, why were so many people gathering? What was worrisome, is some of the auras that were leaping out toward her felt familiar. It was concerning, it was exciting, and there were so many conflicting emotions for a woman who months ago would be flying the other way. Since the things that happened on Vegeta she felt an obligation to stick her nose where it didn't belong if she could do anything to help. This was another one of the unfortunate moments.
It was strange to feel so compelled, to be such a different person. May never cared about the grand scheme, sure the hybrid did try and fight when she thought it was right. That was different, those were street brawls. Now she had the strength to destroy the planet if she diverted her energy toward it. In that same regard didn't that mean she was enough to protect it too? Was it right for her to take that position to take that stand? She wasn't sure, especially with the decisions she made in the past. If her worst fears were true it was likely she would be fighting people she considered friends.
She looked out onto the horizon, and with each passing second, the wall of power started to push back against her. It filled the rage in her heart as Demon Blight began to build. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" She roared, crossing past the border of East city. May wasn't sure what was going on exactly, but it looked like people were screaming, fleeing the city. It very much looked like this wasn't going to be a very friendly encounter. Friendly faces did start to become more noticeable, Khyrop, Derrick, and Zerori. Three distinct power signatures, three people she had considered friends in one way or another.
It made sense from what she knew for Derry to be here since they had begun setting up operations for his business to expand. This was her home for a long time, and even though the people shunned her, some of her few happy moments were here. The days spent at ramen shops to avoid her father, and the old junkyards that were jungle gyms. It felt very personal, it felt as if she was herself being attacked. May could only imagine how the people who called it home felt. The rage, the pain, the fear? It was all very palpable. The tension was so thick, so dense you'd need a claymore to cut through it. It was unsettling, it was fuel for the fight to come. Was she right to act as the hero? Or would she always be put in the position of the villain?
"No need to stay in your head May" She would mutter to herself as the source of the chaos came into view. It was coming from a very familiar blue bubblegum woman. Maycair had been taught how to access her strength because of Liar. The Majin's power was so large in scale it was hard to source her, it felt as if she was spread then. She did notice a point where her power was joined by that of two others. One was her fellow demoness, another was someone she had never had the pleasure of meeting. His power signature did have a certain type of familiarity with it. Soon May was going to find out, for that was the point she was going to fly towards. She wanted to understand what the hell was going on with her. Liari had made bold statements before, but did she really want to destroy the planet? Was this all some sort of strange intimidation tactic? Was there something else she wanted, how would Ayu feel about all of this if she found this out about her sister? It wasn't May's place to find out, but she felt compelled to understand. To be more than just a mindless woman, than someone controlled by their fears. This was her chance to take a stand, to show who she really was.
"Hope you're not getting started without me, I don't appreciate so much happening to my old home. Seems a bit rude to threaten remodeling without letting the people relocate first." May would say snarkily as she darted towards the unknown man, Zerori and Liari. May would stop just short of Zerori, a few feet behind her. From the little she heard from the pair, it seemed this fight was a bit personal. She didn't want to intrude, to deny her friend the chance to get a good lick in. This wasn't a time to pick and choose though. The power the Majin wielded was superior to hers, to Zerori, she was a true monster. Even with the power of her Makyo saiyan all she was doing was putting a dent in her flesh.
Looking into the majin, with nothing but naivety in her heart she would try to speak out to Liari. "I don't know all that happened on this planet when I was gone, I know the words we've exchanged. I do not wish to go against someone who helped me, and who provided the perspective to actually wield my power. I don't know your reasons, I don't even hope to understand but I can ask now before it gets to far for you to stop. If this is the ground you're looking to take, the stance you wish to make then I'm gonna have to join this fight. I've felt your strength, you may see me a fly but I'll sure as hell be an annoying one AND I'M NOT GOING DOWN UNLESS YOU SEND MY ASS TO HELL!" May roared, rising her power as high as she could at this moment. It would take time, but the Majin already knew what she was capable of.

WC:612 | TWC: 1,083 Selling out his family? The hell is she going on about? Derry's brow furrows in response to Liari's retort, all before asking him to either get out of the way or kneel before her. This certainly wasn't going the way that Derry intended it to go, and it's clear that something has certainly changed with Liari, not just in her appearance, but in her personality. She wasn't the Blueberry he met on the streets months ago, at least, not entirely anymore. "That's no way to speak to a friend, eh?" he replies, "If you think I have any intention on selling either of them out, you're completely wrong, Blueberry. But alright, I'll get out of your way. Besides, it seems like you might have some company..."
And company most certainly arrives, as another saiyan suddenly joins the fray, immediately powering up to fight Liari. Once more, he can't quite tell just how powerful this newcomer is, but hopefully he can leave a dent in the blueberry. At the very least, he'll have some backup as yet another stranger arrives at the scene, wearing what appears to be some sort of red armored getup. Derrick couldn't quite tell who it was, but if it's backup, it's backup. Derry won't complain about others getting in the way to distract the big blue blob while he takes to the sidelines and watches from afar.
It seems as if Liari had lost interest in Derry at the moment, instead focusing in on the two newcomers, even going so far as to seemingly teleporting to them. She must be real fast to be able to pull off that sort of technique. She then takes off into the air, encouraging the other fighters to float up to the sky to join her up above the city, meaning that Derry would himself take to one of the nearby rooftops to view from a far safer distance. If these newcomers are able to bring down Liari, then all is good, the world is saved, and Derry might even take a bit of partial credit for a brief distraction. If the blue blob does come out on top, though, well, at least he has his acting chops.
The newcomers didn't stop coming, however, as two more familiar faces arrive at the scene, those being Khyrop and Maycair. Khyrop certainly looked quite different himself, what with him seemingly growing a few feet and looking far more orange than red from before, but hopefully he's acting like his usual self, unlike Liari over there. If all else fails, he can at least get someone on his side. Speaking of which, Maycair would be a part of that category as well, given her current status as Derry's personal bodyguard. He could swear the tiny demon had grown a bit more bulky than when he last met her, and she was already ridiculously strong the first time they met.
The big bat flies above Derry and makes a little jest, all the while Derry replies, "Good to see a familiar and sane face again," all the while Maycair jumps into the action and goes to meet up with Liari as... The sky turns pink? The blueberry's so powerful she can just shift the sky into a different color? That is certainly something to be concerned about, but hopefully everything will turn out just fine. After all, Liari's gotta deal with the saiyans, that red armored one, and if all else fails, at least Derrick would have Khyrop and Maycair to help out a bit. Everything should be alright, so why is he only getting more nervous?

With Athren having successfully transformed into his Demonic Aura transformation for the first transformation, his appearance had changed minorly. He had black lines just on his cheek that went just above the eyebrow, it wasn't much as far as appearance and it would've changed his aura to a purple color IF it was up but he was in control of himself, his aura wasn't flaring and even though he had very dark thoughts and emotions, he was calm. Did he want to kill this Majin? Absolutely? Was his thoughts clouded with only that simple goal, no matter what the means? Yes.. but he was still himself, with all his strategies and smarts to back him up. Once his transformation had been completed, the Majin clone had made an effort to taunt him, to get under his skin but he didn't care. It wasn't going to work, this bitch was going to die. It would've been obvious to anybody that could actually sense energy that Athren wasn't going to be a match for Liari in this form, it didn't take much to finger that one out but luckily, he had so much more to unleash in this situation and it seemed as if Zerori was going to need the backup. With her transformation currently in effect, he knew her craving for blood was at an all-time high and she'd likely go all out, putting herself in a position to get wounded and he really wasn't going to let that happen. Between his concern for her and his need to shut the majin up, he was going to have his hands full with this little scuffle. Though it was rather entertaining, watching all who had come to try to defuse the situation, to try to talk the majin out of it. Nah, that wasn't Athren's path here, that wasn't for him. though there was one thing that MAYBE only Athren knew. With his Advanced Ki Sense ability, he could sense that the other individual in the sky was MUCH stronger and in fact, nearly on PAR with him as a super saiyan. Given that both Majins had virtually the EXACT same Ki signature, he could only come to the conclusion that the one doing all the interacting thus far was a simple copy, a clone. Though he couldn't confirm this, he wasn't going to waste his time focusing on the weaker of the two. He could only hope that the other warriors present would be enough to handle her and if they weren't? Well, he'd have to find a way to juggle back and forth but for now, he had one focus in mind. Using his Instant Transmission Technique Athren would appear above and beyond the group below and meet the REAL Liari in the sky. she didn't appear to be any different than the one below them and Athren couldn't help but smirk. "So here she is, the MIGHTIEST thing on the Planet, Huh? And you say we've got one hell of an ego." He paused slightly after giving her a mocking like tone as he arched a brow, both of his arms down at his sides as his glare intensified. It was in that moment that his fists clenched tightly and he let out a LOUD ROAR, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" His hair stuck up and his aura flared up gold around him, though tinted with purple. His eyebrows, his hair both turning into beautiful color of gold while his eyes shifted to a color of Turquoise. All while the black lines of his face remained. His power EXPLODED, rapidly increasing to a point to match anything else on this Planet. It was more than enough to rival even that of the self proclaimed 'mightiest'. This was the FIRST time he'd get to use this transformation in a fight where there were stakes. It was the first real test he'd have using this form. He could feel his heart beating faster, the adrenaline pumping through his system. Victory and Zerori were all that mattered to him now. He wasn't here to protect the city, not in the traditional sense but he WAS here to eliminate the threat so that his love could survive. The city itself could be rebuilt and the population, well they could all be wished back with the Dragon Balls if they actually existed but he knew for certain he wasn't going to risk his own life trying to save anybody, he couldn't afford that type of distraction now. This was going to take all of his focus and power and he truly wasn't sure EXACTLY what this creature was capable of or what kind of abilities they had in store for him. He just knew he'd have to be ready and prepared for anything. It was at this point he looked more confident than ever, his gave even more intense and deadly than it was before. "If you really are the mightiest, Why don't you quit hiding behind whatever the hell you've got down there and prove it?" Athren said referring to the clone below. He really couldn't wait for this to pop off, not only would this test his Super Saiyan transformation out but his techniques from Yardrat. He could FEEL the presence of those who Liari had absorbed, he could sense their Ki signatures faintly and deeply within her and maybe, it was worth trying to rip one of them out. Of course he didn't exactly KNOW what that would do, or if it'd even do anything but if this individual 'ate' them like Zerori said, maybe there was a purpose to it beyond finishing them off. All while he focus on the opponent before him, he'd monitor Zerori's EVERY move with his Ki sense. He wasn't going to stop her from this fight, this was her home after all. He'd let her give her all to try and protect this city, her business but he wasn't going to let her go down. Even if he couldn't win this fight, as long as he got HER out alive. He'd count that as a win.

Post by Zerori on Oct 25, 2022 1:03:50 GMT -5
It was difficult keeping everything around her in focus and out of focus at the same time - while she kept her eyes trained on Liari, her senses had reached out to keep tabs on what was going on with the people that were either being helped beneath the rubble or evacuated all together. Yet, interestingly still, Zerori had glanced to the few that had actually opted to try and talk Liari down. It was with a soft frown that Zerori kept her doubts to their success to herself. However, it was an oddly shaped creature that had a powerful energy within him that had Zerori narrow her eyes with suspicion. And who… the actual fuck are you, I wonder? They felt bone-chillingly familiar and Zerori made a note before bringing her visored gaze back to Liari NOT to let that one disappear anywhere.
For now, she’d have to keep her focus on what was the most dangerous - that being Liari, even as she seemed to patronizingly clap her hands in a mocking ovation. Zerori’s lip twitched upwards, but not in a manner that would appear like she was trying not to smile - it threatened to crack her facade too quickly. Just as Zerori was about to take a composure-restoring breath in, Liari was gone in one moment and right next to her the next - nearly knocking the air out of her before she’d even taken it! Behind the visor, Zerori’s eyes would widen at the verbal note Liari had made. You fuckin’ IDIOT! She admonished herself, forgetting that she’d already SHOWN this technique to her in the past and clearly - she DIDN’T forget.
Sweat gathering at her temple, Zerori merely feigned a smile, “Can’t say that I do. Friend of yours?” She jested lightly between clenched teeth, barely managing to ignore the crack at her paldron before Liari lamented it to a mere coincidence. Zerori knew. She knew that Liari knew that Zerori knew as well. That’s going to be a conversation piece later, Zerori sighed through her nose.
Thankfully, she wasn’t doing this alone - the sudden influx of power that had arrived on the scene and landed right beside her and Athren. While Athren had hardly wasted any time to confront the stronger (likely original) Liari that likely hadn’t intended to fight so soon, Zerori would crane her head over to Maycair, “Glad you could make it. Means a lot,” She spoke softly, rising up to face Liari with Maycair high above the city to avoid destroying it even more and reduce the casualties. Maycair, like Athren, knew of Zerori’s true self behind the armor and so she didn’t need to hide behind any persona with them. Liari knew as well, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t annoy her with a generous helping of ignorance to amuse herself!
Zerori cast a look toward Athren as his power suddenly came to a startling peak, the familiarity of it sending a shiver down her spine but that wasn’t what had her yell at him, “You handle her and we’ll handle this one! If I need your help, I’ll stamp it on my forehead!” She laughed, returning her gaze to Liari’s clone. Maycair has spoken her piece, the realization that they likely had a closeness before Liari had changed into… what she was now. The time for talk, to Zerori, was neither here nor there and as Maycair finished with an intense power up - Zerori decided that this was as good a moment as any.
She rushed forward, hoping Maycair was at her back, “Kill me YOURSELF then!” She taunted, opening with a ‘go big or go home’ attack that was sure to set the stage in the sky with a flourish of fireworks. Just before she would stop merely feet from Liari’s clone, Zerori screeched to a halt in the air, her throat seeming to seethe with black smoke before she released a torrent of powerful black flames in the clone Liari’s direction. While Zerori didn’t like to end things before it got started, she knew that if she didn’t pop off first, her time in battle would quickly come to an end. Above the city, the overarching flurry of flames could be seen for miles as it billowed from Zerori's mouth like an over-sized flame-thrower. She really hoped no one was stupid enough to touch them because if they did... well, she wasn't going to suffer fools while trying to save them.
