2 Days Ago...Alright... Enough of this farce... Liari had waited TOO LONG, watched this world function in its weak, pathetic ways for TOO LONG... and now it was time to do something about it. Too many people liked to pretend they were "good guys," that they "got it", that they "understood the little guy..." ...or worse, they didn't give a damn and their wants just so happened to benefit them. In short, too many of these so-dubbed "heroes" ran around this planet without a proper chain on their neck... Now was the time for someone to actually TEST if they deserved it. This wasn't even so much a test in POWER so much as it was in principle, to see WHO would show up and WHY! These people wanted to be special, let them EARN that title like everyone else... ...Or let them BURN in their incompetence. ...But Liari couldn't go out... too brazenly. If word got back to Ayu (or Terra, for that matter) what was going on, things... might never be the same. They wouldn't understand, too pure were they. All Ayu wanted to think about was the health of these idiots, probably... Hell, she might even step in and get in the WAY! ...Not to mention everyone else who knew her face whining and complaining... "How could you do this...?" they would probably say. "...We can still work this out..." God, she could already hear them... and it was driving her up a WALL! AND SO... Liari instead chose a different form, one appropriate for the task ahead. Her body shrunk somewhat to a respectable 5'7'', her skin turning a deeper shade of green, her eyes filled in a pure, solid yellow as lines edged down from the bottom of her eyes down her to the tip of her chin! Her attire also changed to grey gloves and boots, red pants and a solid breastplate, inspired by, but VERY DIFFERENT FROM, the one in her original form:Her aura would also RADICALLY change to something more... hostile... vicious and cold... something calculated, as if to resemble a soul restrained by control... like that majin Babadi had shown her... A perfect tool to model herself after, especially since the sentiment wasn't too far off... Now all she needed as a name.... "...Kazi... Yes... that's perfect..."______________________________________ 1 Day Ago...It was late afternoon when the green majin would make her way to the nearest broadcasting building, her full-yellow eyes tracking which windows had lights on... and which ones didn't. Without a word, a sense of ceremony or theatrics, the Majin now known as "Kazi" would SMASH right through one of the higher-floor windows, one thin beam-shot taking out the host of some show behind the desk... two more decimating the guests paralyzed with shock on the couch! It seemed she had interrupted some kind of talk show or info-tainment network... How appropriate given what her mission now was. It looked as if the Camera-man was about to bail too, REALIZING what was happening as Kazi floated into the building... but one look from her was all it took... for a mysterious "M" to arch across his forehead... and for him to suddenly become VERY interested in manning the camera for this new broadcast. "Earthlings." Kazi rumbled, her voice much higher, almost childlike, given the smaller form... but the venom was unmistakable. "...My name is 'Kazi.' ...And I am here to destroy you." The majin paused, allowing that information to set in as a long, crooked smile arched across her lips. slowly, she would raise a hand up... and fire a green blast of energy RIGHT THROUGH the roof of the building, BURNING IT RIGHT OFF AND EXPLODING above the city, causing MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF WINDOWS TO INSTANTLY CRACK FROM THE SHOCKWAVE! The camera was unharmed. however, as was the broadcasting station... Kazi's raw power would see to that, shielding the essential equipment from damage that might stall the broadcast. "...But don't worry, worms... You WILL have a chance to defend yourself. After all, what pleasure is there in destroying such weakness... if you don't put up a fight...? That is why your survival will depend on your so-called 'champions' to come to fight for your worthless hides. Tomorrow, I will be hosting a tournament just to the North of South City at the edge of its borders. Your champions will know how to get there. If nobody arrives or I am displeased with your champions, I shall start with this city and destroy it. If not, you will live. Only by submission, ring-out or death can a victory be proclaimed. The rules are simple, yes?" She smiled again. "...And if you wish to betray me and break these rules...? I ask that you try. A demonstration of the consequences would much better serve me than an explanation."She would then turn and make her way back towards the hole she had busted through, the camera tracking her the whole way... before flashing one last look at the camera. "...And if you're curious about the brackets... Well... I do hope you enjoy surprises. I hope to see you at my 'Kamakazi Games.'"...And with that, she would SHOOT from the building at FULL SPEED towards the northern end of South City _____________________________________________________ TODAY...Majin Kazi stood in the middle of a marble white ring about two miles from the borders of South City, the material being finely carved stone and marble arranged in tiles organized into a MASSIVE arena ring! Massive pillars of twisting marble were placed at the point of each corner spiraling up into the sky as if they served as markers for the boundaries! The ring itself was massive, more a battlefield, if a serene one, the much smaller green majin placed right in the center with her arms crossed over her chest...
...And she waited for the fighters... to arrive.

-YESTERDAY- Didgeridoo finally managed to get the antenna working for the television he'd found in the dump the other day. It'd been a massive project that plagued him for days, because the static that sounded from the untuned television drove him mad but also gave him a sense of purpose. He needed to figure out how to conquer the static before the static conquered him. Anywho, eventually he went into town and got an antenna for free from some hardware store owner. Apparently most TVs didn't need them anymore? It didn't really make much sense to Digeridoo, but considering it got rid of the static and allowed him to watch some form of entertainment, the Namekian chose not to question it. Humans were weird like that. On the subject of weird humans, Didgeri surfed aimlessly through his six channels. Three of them were news broadcasts reporting various information that he couldn't care less about, one had some kind of talk show where the host and guests were brutally murdered by some kind of green alien blob monster girl thing, another had an infomercial describing a toilet bowl night light, and the last one had cartoons- WAIT! He shot out of his chair and scrambled to his TV to manually push the channel down button. How could he skip over something so important? Didgeridoo scooted a few feet back from his TV and pulled his knees up to his chest as he watched the toilet bowl night light infomercial in awe. How convenient! A light to help him find his toilet bowl in the middle of the night! Who wouldn't want something like that? As the infomercial went on, a number appeared on screen to order the light. He ran around his hut in search of a pen and paper to write down the number, but by the time he got back to the TV, something else had already replaced his infomercial. Somehow those dastardly news broadcasts had leaked onto the infomercial channel to report on a breaking story. Apparently, the talk show station he'd flipped past had just been used to promote some kind of game to save South City from imminent destruction. Game shows these days were crazy! The perpetrator, the alien named Kazi, challenged Earth's 'champions' to join the tournament to fight for the safety of the planet. He was an arm wrestling champion. Tomorrow, to the South of North City. Or was it the North of South City? Why are the city names so confusing? Didgeri wasn't sure. In his moment of confusion, she said some other stuff about the rules or whatever, but the Namekian had already made up his mind. These games couldn't have been that serious - certainly not serious enough to interrupt the Bowl Brite. He was going to show up to these so-called games and give Kazi a piece of his mind. Heck, he might even make her buy him one of the nightlights. She was just on TV, so surely she had the phone number he'd missed out on. Plus, he fit the criteria of a 'champion', considering he'd won an arm wrestling tournament at a convention a few months back. The idea of her threatening the Earth didn't really hold any weight in his eyes. This was television, after all, in the modern day, no less. Special effects were amazing! What mattered more to him was the missed opportunity of a neat collectible. Somebody was going to pay. -TODAY- After checking South of North City (and realizing he had misheard), Didgeridoo eventually managed to find the location of the Kamakazi Games. He landed on the grass surrounding the arena and lightly treaded forward. Aside from the person in the center Kage...? Kame...? Ka... the green alien who'd created the challenge. Aside from her, there was nobody around yet. Didgeri examined the marble arena in fascination. He rubbed his chin as he stared down at the flooring, thinking about how cool it would be to have a piece for his collection. The Namekian wanted to grab a slab right then and there, but he decided to approach the Majin first. He knew Earthlings were all about first impressions, and even though she wasn't an Earthling, they were on Earth. Slowly, but carelessly, Didgeridoo walked across the arena towards Kazi. His footsteps echoed across the empty field, making his needlessly long approach feel even longer. As he got closer, he couldn't help but notice a tingling at the back of his neck. Didgeridoo, not very keen on fighting, often ignored his ability to sense ki. Kazi's immense power, though, was impossible to totally ignore. His body subconsciously did its best to warn him of the potential threat in front of him, but fear was not something Didgeridoo acted on. Besides, he had a mission. Finally, when he was a reasonable distance away, he stopped and pulled out a sheet of paper with a script he'd scribbled the night before. It could have passed for a kindergartener's homework based on the hand writing. He cleared his throat and began his spiel, which was monotone and choppy because of his poor reading skills, "Hello. I am Didgeridoo. I was watching a broadcast detailing the value of a product known as 'Bowl Brite,' which I planned on purchasing for my own john, but the broadcast was interrupted by the advertisement for your game today. It made me very mad, but I have since calmed down. If you could provide me with a Bowl Brite of my own, or a method in which to purchase the product, I would very much appreciate that. I will even participate in your games if necessary. This means a great deal to me, so I am hoping you will consider my plea. Thank you. Sincerely - Didgeridoo,"He folded up the paper and slipped it back into his pocket, giving a big smile to Kazi as he did. He looked around at the rest of the area, totally barren and lifeless, then noted off-the-cuff, "Not a big turnout, huh? If nobody else shows up, that means I win, right?" He could already picture the cheap nightlight sitting at the top of his toilet lid, illuminating the toilet bowl in the middle of a dark, stormy night.

YESTERDAY...
Quash was in South City maneuvering through the busy streets wearing his typical white cloak that covered pretty much everything from the neck down. He was there only to get supplies to resupply his ship with food and water. He had run out of the dinosaur meat that he gathered from when he used to train in Mount Paozu. On top of that, Jonathan was getting kind of big, which meant his meals were only consisting of bigger serving sizes as time went on. He didn't like coming into the earthling cities that often, so he figured he'd just buy a bunch of stuff in bulk so he could stay away for a while.
As he traversed through the city, he couldn't but notice the citizens walking by him had a look of fear and concern on their faces. While he could've chalked it up to the Earthlings being afraid of the various attacks that took place on Earth, he would've thought that things would've calmed down at least a little bit. The attacks were tragedies for them, sure, but they had happened a while ago now. Were Earthlings even softer than the thought? With how poorly they were able to handle things, he wouldn't put it past them.
As he continued to make his way through the crowd, he began to inevitably pick up on their conversations.
"She's going to kill us all!"
"Who is she?"
"We're getting attacked again?"
It wasn't long before Quash realized that everyone was talking about the same thing. From what he could gather, there was some individual threatening Earth AGAIN. This planet sure was in the scope of a lot of people. Still, if Earth was under attack again, it might be related to whoever was behind West City. If that was true, he might be able to find out more about who Liari was working for.
Wanting to know more, he took a chance and went to ask a random person about what was going on. He approached a passing businessman.
"Excuse me!"
"Huh?"
The man was about as tall as him, wearing a black suit and tie with a matching briefcase. He had a thick mustache and was pretty built. A real man's man.
"I'm in a hurry, what is it?"
"What's with all this talk about someone attacking Earth?"
"Do you not watch the news?"
"I-Er..."
"Ugh, well listen up then. Someone known as Kazi is hosting a tournament in the northern part of this city. tomorrow She says that if we don't get someone to defeat her then she'll wipe us out!"
"Huh, well, do you know-"
"I can't talk anymore! I'm late!"
The man scurried off before Quash could get anything else out of him. A tournament? That was odd. He didn't really care about what happened to Earth, but this was a perfect opportunity to find out if this was connected to the targets he was after. Besides, it was a tournament! There were bound to be strong people at these kinds of things, right? It could be fun. His mind was made up. He was going to head to this tournament and compete! A good fight and new info? Two birds with one stone!
TODAY...
Quash flew into the area, and he was kind of excited. He's only ever participated in tournaments during training sessions when he was young. This would be the first real one that he's taken part in, and to be honest he couldn't wait for it to start. Who knew what kind of people were going to show up? There might be more saiyans native to Earth, or even Earthlings themselves. It was a shame he wasn't able to bring Sayama or Jorey along, but he was just going to have to represent them this time. He'd make sure not to let them down. In fact, he didn't even bring his weights this time. He was prepared to go all out!
Once he was able to get a good look at the ring, his eyes widened in admiration. This was impressive work for sure. How long did it take to build this, did this mean the tournament was being planned for a while? He didn't know if there was some kind of ulterior to this, but he'd make sure to stay alert and ready at all times.
Speaking of being alert, one thing that DID catch his attention was the massive energy that he sensed upon arriving. He hadn't felt an energy this large since he fought Liari, but this clearly wasn't her. It felt completely different than hers and, as Quash down in the center of the arena right in front of the only two people that were there, it'd be clear as day that the individual who was at the source of the energy looked NOTHING like her at all. Not only was she green instead of blue, but the height difference was palpable. She was a little shorter than Quash himself and had a completely different outfit.
There was hardly anybody here. Was he early?
"I'm guessing you're "Kazi"." He said to her, crossing his arms. "Alright. There are always weird rules to these things, right? Anything I need to know, like no flying or no ki or something?" He asked, clearly not having gotten the memo as others might have. The guy in the suit from yesterday didn't exactly give him a lot of the details on how this was going to be run.
As Quash looked over at the other person that was here with him, he suddenly realized that he had met him before! WAIT A MINUTE!
"HOLD ON, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?! YOU CAN'T EVEN FIGHT!" He exclaimed, remembering the namekian from the time they had to fight some hulked-out grandma over Jonathan. This guy had sure caused him a lot of trouble when they first met, and he was hoping he'd never have to see him again.
'Good golly. If he's here, then that means ANYONE could show up.'

“I fed you earlier, you little bastard,” Zerori groaned, getting a face-full of a grumpy tabby’s tail as she grimaced from being awoken. It was the middle of the afternoon and she was already coerced into doing training in the evening with Master Shen. When Twilight had insisted, his raspy meow sounding more like an impatient growl, Zerori would just throw her head backwards onto the pillow with a ‘POFF’ before throwing her blankets off, “FINE!” She stomped her way across the floor to the pantry where she kept his food (otherwise, he’d break into it and that was a WHOLE other mess she didn’t want to deal with) and quickly scooped out a half-cup for his highness before filing his bowl. With a grateful meow, followed by ‘myummyummyum’ as he tended to speak while eating, Zerori would just roll her eyes with a smile.
She loved this little bastard.
Now damn near fully awake, Zerori decided to watch a bit of TV to help it lull her back to sleep; infomercials typically did the trick but so early in the evening… maybe she could get to sleep with the sound of one of those talk shows… Once she was settled on her couch, flipping the TV on, Zerori would lay her head back with eyes closed in preparation for the white noise of the narrator. It would have worked too, only twenty minutes in, before the sudden sound of destruction and screaming from the TV had her jolt awake suddenly - materializing a gun in hand. Heart racing, Zerori would only realize the noise was coming from the screen in front of her when no apparent murderer was present, “What.. the fuck-?!” Zerori hissed, leaning forward to get a good look at the oddly green girl that had apparently taken the spotlight of the show. Literally.
The stakes were… disturbingly enough, the fate of everyone on the planet - starting with South City. Zerori grimaced, watching the girl lay waste to the ceiling and realizing that while she couldn’t get a good bead on her power at the moment it stood to reason that if she were challenging everyone - she likely had some amount of power to back it up.
WIth a scoff, Zerori let herself fall back against the couch, “Well, fuck. Now what I wanted to wake up to,” Twilight, finished with his food, hopped up onto her lap and began to snuggle in for sleep. Zeroro stared at him for a long time, her face unreadable as she languidly brought her hand up to scratch at the top of his head.
“... You know I’d die for you, yeah?” Zerori mumbled, hearing the sound of his purrs grow louder. With a soft smile, Zerori would pet him for a little while longer before materializing her helmet and preparing to make a quick call to Athren. A necessary one. She left a text message to Zero and Ryme, making it clear she might not be available for missions due to a rather urgent matter.
—- One day later.
Soaring over the woodlands and plains that made up most of the South’s countryside, Zerori was making her way toward where Kazi had mentioned the tournament’s location. She really wasn’t into playing these fucking games, but if she really intended to destroy everything, well… she just wasn’t going to stand by for it. She’d made preparations for the girl’s at the Bakery to take care of Twilight and for Korn to keep her Gravitron warm and ready for her in case she needed it. As well, she’d made sure to keep her armor at home. It wouldn’t help her today and her long-term plans needed to be kept secure - no matter what happened here.
As she approached the white-marbled arena, pires at all four corners presenting an intimidating stage, Zerori would notice some unfamiliar figures. Their powers were… differing. One hardly feeling like a quarter of her own and the other nearly double her power. Still, with only two having shown up, Zerori felt a cold chill rush down her spine. I might have to just bite the bullet on this one, won’t I? Zerori thought with a smirk just before landing near the other two. She was dressed casually, not even her weights present, with black pants, red boots, white T-shirt sans any graphic on it as a biker jacket that looked oddly pristine. The shades she wore on her face obscured her eyes but it was easy to tell that she was looking in the direction of their Host.
She spoke to the two of the fighters as she kept her eyes on Kazi, “You guys also came to uh… defend the planet, I guess?” Damn, this was an awkward feeling and not one she liked to be trapped in but what was she to do? She wasn’t going to let things go to shit for nothing. Even if what she was sending was literally nothing like she’d ever felt before, “Holy fuck, her power is kinda fuckin’ nuts.” She hissed, fists clenching at her sides as her tail frizzed up. She turned to the Namekian before holding up a hand with her index and middle finger held sideways as she greeted them, “Zerori.” Then to Quash, “Haven’t seen ya’ll before. ‘Champions of Earth’ I take it?”

How very underwhelming, this cast of characters. Kazi didn't bother to hide the scowl that fell over her face as Earth's "best and brightest" came before her. The first was a Namekian who spoke more words in a second than he had increments of power, reading something off of a piece of paper... and then attempting to declare himself the winner right there! ...If the majin didn't have Callion inside of her head, PULLING BACK on her impulses as if they were on a leash, she would have reduced this man to ASH right now. ...Someone who didn't fully grasp the magnitude of what Kazi had threatened... How bloody annoying. Kazi spared him neither a look nor a word, simply waiting for the REAL contestants to show up. Kazi had no use for socially incompetent nor for class-clowns in her event... Something that should have been evident given the STAKES.
The second was Quash... and this invoked a small smile from the Majin... Finally! The FIRST of the three she had been waiting for! ...But again, she was less than content with his initial reaction. What, no acknowledgement a whole city's population is going to burn...? No CARE that she had just threatened the lives of the planet's inhabitants? ...Its at times like these Liari wondered if she should have just outright revealed herself to everyone here... At least THEN she might get a meaningful reaction! ...Maybe she should have STARTED with destroying the city... Yeah... YEAH, that might work for next time... At the very least, they'd take her seriously! ...Or maybe she should just kill one of them to set the stakes...
...She was weighing her options.
"...The only rules are that if you fall out of the ring, concede or die, you lose." Kazi responded with no small amount of irritation. "...But considering the uselessness of your fellow contestant, chances are you and he will fall under the latter."
...And with that, her smile fell flat once more. Okay... THIS was an underwhelming start to her tournament. Did she mention that hundreds of thousands of people would DIE if she wasn't satisfied? She was pretty sure she mentioned it... So far, this reaction only CONFIRMED what she had been feeling up until this point, that all these people knew how to do was fight. Lives? What were THOSE worth? Families? Eh, they were gonna fall apart anyway. Stakes? PLEASE, what was this: a cartoon?
...It sounded that way, based on the dialogue between Quash and Diger over there. Bah. Suddenly, the majin was starting to regret making this a formal event.
...Well, Zerori would finally show up after another unbearable minute. ...And she seemed to be in the same boat as these other two. Sure, she seemed more grounded, actually appearing to ACKNOWLEDGE the power Kazi wielded... only to go have some dialogue with her team.
Glorious. Just fabulous. The tension in the air was absolutely NONEXISTANT right now! ...She wondered if any of these people were actually AFRAID to die...?
...She supposed, she should check.
Liari- KAZI would level her hand at the trio and fire a basic energy-sphere RIGHT at Quash, interrupting their little heart-warming conversation with an EXPLOSIVE interjection! Its sheer power ECLIPSED everything and EVERYONE here, FLATTENING the landscape where they stood and BLOWING EVERYONE BACK... if the attack wasn't deflected!
"None of you appear to grasp the stakes of this." Kazi rumbled, her aura FLARING out around her. "...So let me tell you again: That city off in the distance?" Kazi pointed over them all across the landscape... If they squinted, they could see the edges of the city! "...Everyone in it will DIE. What's WRONG with you all!?" She glared down at each of them... before leveling a hand at Diger next.
"...Either this is taken seriously... or I start killing each and every one of you until I get what I want."

Post by Majin Zero Ika on Aug 18, 2022 21:12:21 GMT -5
Zero walked through the ship, he could hear the news channel his brother always watched broadcasting something different. It sounded like the people who were reporting the same boring same old same old were now in a panic, he flashed back to the night he took over West City, the ZZTV crew had made the same cries of terror when Zero had appeared. In the same fashion, this green creature made some statements and mentioned something about blowing up the Earth. Zero stepped up behind Ryme and sighed. His brother had been right, claiming Earth for themselves would indeed have been too much work to defend all the time. "Hm, this could work in our favor Brother. We should go, perhaps we can find more employees and perhaps even find a way to get this green woman on our side, at the least spare West City. if she thinks she can just come in and steal my move and threaten our Base of Operations while profits and rising she has another thing coming. I suppose we should go, what do you say dear brother?"
Zero waited for the answer from his brother. after getting his brother's response Zero walked off to ready himself to meet at the location the woman had noted. The next day Zero would pilot them from West City to South City, the ride taking a little longer than he expect, however, he figured if it was a tournament then they would have enough time for everything. He lowered the ship to about two hundred members away from the white titled ring he saw from above, as they flew over he could see a group of people gathering together.
It would not be known just yet that Zerori was down there, nor would it be known soon she could be under attack from the Majin in Green skin. Of course, he had no idea this was Liari in some getup but it did not matter he was not here to Save the Earth, nor was he here to fight for the enjoyment of others. He was here solely to ensure that his City would be spared if nothing else.
Zero would exit the ship checking his tailed blunt weapon and ensuring it was fashioned properly to his tail. He still wore his weights on his body though since he did not plan on having to fight. When his brother would be ready he would lead them in flight as they flew over towards the ring and the gathering of people there. He just hoped he could pry the woman's attention long enough to have a word. Not that he thought that she was stronger than him or presented a real threat, it would just be better for his reputation if he would solve this issue.

Post by Khyrop on Aug 18, 2022 23:37:16 GMT -5
~Yesterday~Planet earth had been entertaining at the very least in a variety of ways since Khyrop had landed there weeks ago, to him it was enough to enjoy the sights and food of the planet all while experiencing all the stories he could. In that time had gotten to indulge all of his hobbies, and his favorite the most in particular, information gathering. With his ability to blend in with the wildlife as well using his nature as a flying creature to spy on people from afar while tuning in with his senses had provided him a bevy of intel. Although alot of it was frivolous there was always stuff that was important, he had found out about plenty of leads on jobs allowing him to gain money and other resources to enjoy his time there. It was for this reason that he had also bought a television along with one of the live tv and streaming boxes so he could look at all sources to make sure he was up to date.
In this matter his routine had picked up a variety of new habits, one of which was sitting down to watch over the news and see what the people of this planet were concerning themselves with. In some days he would learn about the tragedies they performed on each other with such short-sightedness as well as the frivolties they concerned themselves with. In his mind it all seemed rather silly, but it had given him a near prophetic insight on the people.
"Well, let's see what's going on with these people today, maybe there will be something interesting to share with the Ika's when they return." He would pause for a moment after that comment, his head turning to look at the electronic calender he had set up within his base a smile suddenly cross his lips revealing plenty of fang. "Well look's like I might get to see them sooner than I thought."
As his mind thought about what the return of the Ikas would mean for his plan his hand would pick up the remote to his television and turn it on, there was an ad about some sort toilet cleaner? He wasn't entirely sure, but that wasn't anything of importance at the moment as it suddenly cut back to the news. He had seen this before in the form of cutting news stories, but this time there was something different. It started at first with some ordinary news people, but then there was a majin, he had met a person like them before but he had never met one who had looked like this.
His eyes and ears were completely tuned into the broadcast as he listened to every word and watched every single action she had taken. In his eyes he didn't care too much about this planet, there was money to be gained here but if it was between his life and the planet he would let the planet perish first. However, as she heard the challenge given by the Majin on the tv and the intention of her games a spark had suddenly popped within his head. In his mind this was actually perfect for him, no he wouldn't stop the woman from attacking the city or the rest of the planet. No, he was more interested in the other people who would show up to this knowing it was his time to scour some of the best fighters a vertiable buffet of good genetics he could assimilate at the right moment.
"Hmm if they're here in enough time they'll probably end up here too, help would be good but I gotta be smart about this." He talked to himself, planning in his head knowing that regardless this was a good oppurtunity to learn more if nothing else
~Today~ After night had fallen and Khyrop had chosen to sleep through it instead of staying up as he usually did, conserving his energy for the big fight ahead. He had to consider everything that could happen here afterall he hadn't met anyone who would be there and had no gauge for how powerful the people there would be. However, in his mind it was safe to assume they would be considerably strong for them to be making such a move without worry of being immediately stomped out. On the other end he hadn't met many powerful fighters on the planet yet so he had no grasp on whether or not there was anyone strong enough to stop a threat. When he made sure that he was prepared for everything that morning he stopped inside of his apartment, at first he thought about wearing his training weights to hide his power and also get some training in while he fight. In the end he decided that it wasn't worth the risk, but he did grab one of his pre-workout training mixes downing it to mae sure he was getting the right nutrients. This would be a way for him to keep his training going without putting himself at any risk. After that he would take flight from his apartment early that morning, trekking his way to the north of south city where the tournament was supposedly taking place. It was when he saw the tournament ring that he finally felt the power of the person hosting this event. His eyes would turn and he would suddenly become quiet and serious as he flew down to the ground. After landing he would perch ontop a rock outside the arena, he saw fighters of various power levels from those close to him, to people weaker than him, and quite a few who had a leg up on him. "Quite a crowd here, although I feel like I might've arrived somewhat early." He spoke while scratching his chin, his mind shifting towards what his plan would be here. There were some prospective targets for assimilation, but it wouldn't be easy and he decided that he was just going to have to wait for the right moment. "I can't wait to see what ends up happening here."His comments were short and mostly to himself, but he would soon sit there on the rock with complete relaxation as his ears even began to fold over his head. Even if he seemed to be completely at peace, he was actually in an aggressive state as he was simply waiting for the right moment for himself to lunge. This right moment could be anything really, but there was also the chance he might have to fight before it was actually there. However, this didn't discourage him from participating as he would wait for either the right chance for himself or between other people to hop in whether they be on their side or against him. His mind was a cavalcade of ideas that only made him curious of what and who else he would see here. However, as he was sitting there he would notice that there was quickly a series of events happening with her preparing a blast and firing it in another direction, he hadn't been near them, but he was of course close enough to watch it all happen. More importantly, he felt it happen as he felt his hair prick up, if that had hit him it would've meant death. Instead of feeling despair, he felt a tinge of excitement, knowing of this power and the chance that she would likely cut down enough people for him to build his own steps on. "Mm, this is quite intriguing, more so than I thought, regardless of who wins here I'm expecting this to be a great show." He spoke to himself again as he floated in the air, leaning back and floating there relaxed as he observed what would be going on here. Post by Didgeri on Aug 19, 2022 17:56:53 GMT -5
Without so much as even acknowledgement to the perfect speech he'd just delivered, Didgeri couldn't help but feel a bit frustrated. He'd worked really hard on that. He waved a hand in front of the Majin's face to try to get her attention, but it didn't seem like she wanted anything to do with him. Must've had to get permission from the higher-ups in the studio. Made sense to him.
While he waited for an answer, a newcomer landed and immediately began asking questions. Didgeridoo turned to see none other than the Saiyan he'd tussled with for control over a rodent! Why was he here? What could he possibly have been the champion of? Apparently, the Saiyan felt similarly, because he immediately began spouting out more nonsense. Didgeri rolled his eyes and looked back to the Majin, "Ugh, I really don't wanna be here if he's around. That guy's the worst,"
Suddenly, he turned back to Quash and asked, "Fight? Woah, woah, woah, I'm not here to fight. I just wanna get my toilet light and leave,"
As the two argued, another person showed up to join the games. This time it was another Saiyan, but a woman instead of a man. She seemed a lot more collected and focused than Didgeri's acquaintance. Shortly after arriving, she introduced herself as Zerori. Still poking at his distaste for Quash, Didgeridoo explained, "I can't speak for everyone, but, I am a champion. Does the name Didgeridoo ring a bell?" It shouldn't.
Their bickering got cut short when Kazi sent a warning shot right at Quash. Didgeridoo tumbled a few feet back from the shockwave of the attack, which finally knocked some sense into the Namekian. He coughed up some dust, then groaned as he laid on the marble floor. Apparently, Kazi did not like their little chit-chat. She pointed over at the city off in the distance, then raised a hand toward the Namekian on the ground.
Seeing his back against the wall, and considering the display of real power Kazi had just shown, Didgeridoo put his hands up in surrender and agreed, "That's exactly what I've been trying to say this whole time. Let the games begin, right guys?"
The way Didgeri saw it, if he went along with this powerful creature wanted, eventually he could get his hands on what he wanted. And he might avoid dying. That would be nice, too. Hopefully the hodgepodge of contestants that had arrived would be enough to satisfy Kazi's desires, or at least enough to stop Didgeri from getting vaporized.

"Um, excuse me? You're the one who was kidnapping cats, not me. And what the hell is a toilet light?" Quash asked, quickly becoming defensive. The nerve of this namekian to act like he was the bad guy after his shenanigans ended up trashing an entire city! He made a mental note to kick his butt again once this tournament was over. Clearly, Didgeri hadn't gotten the message the first time.
"In any case, it's a tournament. Like it or not, you're going to have to f-"
Quash's instincts immediately over as Kazi's energy attack was detected. He turned towards her, realizing that an attack was heading this way! Not having enough time to go Super Saiyan, he had no choice but to rely on his base power. An electric energy ball formed in the palm of his hand as he had to rely on his most powerful attack yet! The Bok Choy Blast! At practically point-blank range, the two energy attacks clashed together! A POWERFUL EXPLOSION ENGULFED THE AREA OF THE ARENA, SENDING OUT A SHOCKWAVE THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE LANDSCAPE!
Quash gritted his teeth as he tried as hard as he could to overpower the attack! Despite Kazi only firing a simple ki blast, it was enough to overpower his trump card, his strongest technique! "Tch... Come on... Dammit!" He grew frustrated as he ultimately lost the clash, the blast hitting him square in the chest and knocking him right off of his feet. He flew back a considerable distance before landing right near the edge of the arena.
He had taken damage, there was no doubt about that. Not only that, but he revealed his most effective technique before the tournament even started, putting him at a significant disadvantage compared to the other fighters. He was beyond pissed, there was no doubt about that.
His energy began to skyrocket as he heard Kazi's reasoning for the sudden outburst. Not taking this seriously? Not caring about the planet? SHE was the one who was threatening Earth in the first place! What was with her?! This level of insanity gave him severe deja vu, but he couldn't tell what it was from.
"You're...going to regret that." He said, as he sat up and glared at the host of this event. If anyone was paying close attention, they'd notice that his eyes were beginning to turn green.

Aside from the obvious disdain the two men here had for each other, there wasn’t a lot of cohesion going on between anyone. So much so that even Kazi, the stranger amongst them all, was able to see that they didn’t really seem to understand the severity of it all. She was just able to hide her emotions better than others when it came to fear. Zerori cocked an eyebrow at Digeri before she gave a soft, ‘uhhh’ before responding with a strained smile, “I don’t, sorry but hey, maybe you’re just on a different network than what I watch,” She supplied amicably just before Kazi seemed to have just about enough of their impromptu group. Turning back to Kazi as Zerori felt a sudden influx of power, she’d hardly had a chance to react before a blast was speeding toward the strongest Saiyan in their group. Luckily, he was able to keep it from destroying the area (and himself) with a powerful retort of his own.
Zerori was able to throw her arms up in time as the shockwave of the colliding blasts shook the ground under her feet. Son of a BITCH! She panicked in her mind, heart racing as her head was assaulted on all sides by the powers that were colliding - and the tournament hadn’t even STARTED yet! When she lowered her arms, a few beads of sweat rolling down her face as she took in the damage, Zerori would be overwhelmed by a sudden disgust at just what the hell they were doing and why the fuck they were there.
While Didgeri seemed to want to get things on the road, either out of fear or something else, Quash and Zerori turned on Kazi with clear aggression in their eyes. Like Quash, Zerori’s eyes would also begin to change - a malevolent glow manifesting from crystalline blues into a fiery red. “What’s wrong with US?! What the FUCK is wrong with YOU?!” Zerori roared, her power gradually raising until it would about double what it was. While it would hardly be a match for Kazi, Zerori wasn’t going to sit around twiddling her thumbs until she was killed.
Briefly, she felt the tingle of a familiar power - even if it didn’t feel as strong, Zero? What’s he doing here? Zerori thought idly, though she kept her focus on the green Majin girl before her. She really wished Liari was around right about now! That kid was strong and knew how to throw and take a punch. An invasive thought dug its annoying self into her brain, wondering if Liari didn’t want anything to do with her after their last encounter. If she managed to survive this and miraculously manage to win/appease this insane woman… she’d have to properly apologize to Liari.
Zerori took a challenging step forward, grinning and gesturing with her hands for Kazi to bring it on, “You want us to take you seriously, then let’s fucking GO already!!”

Post by Majin Liari on Aug 22, 2022 6:47:02 GMT -5
More people had arrived... though most were beneath Kazi's notice. Zero... was not one of them. Ah, and now TWO of her desired three had arrived... but he didn't appear to be very interested in the tournament himself. No, he hung back from the rest of the crowd, staring at her intently as if he wanted something else. Kazi narrowed her eyes at him before sparing a glance at the other newcomer, a bioandroid of.... noticeable strength merely relaxing upon a stone. ...The majin couldn't help but muse what might happen if she were to raise the stakes a little bit, to... PERSUADE everyone how SERIOUS things actually were right now.
...And Quash would be her little demonstration.
Oh, how the saiyan tried to fight back, pouring a VAST amount of ki into some kind of blast, putting up a decent, but ultimately fruitless struggle as it STRUCK HIM DEAD in the chest! ...She would have been a liar if Liari didn't admit to a small twinge of satisfaction seeing him FLY back like a ragdoll like that, the man nearly sliding RIGHT out of her ring and nearly scalping a handful of tiles in the process!
"I hope that made my point clear." Kazi stated with a sharp coldness, slowly pointing her hand at everyone else before resting back on Quash. "If you all keep treating this like a joke... I will simply SKIP the tournament and go straight to the destruction of your world... and you lot with it."
...Diger seemed to get the message, the goofball-namek RECOILING at such a threat. The majin smirked... so he FINALLY understood, did he? Good. Maybe she wouldn't have to throttle him JUST yet... What about Quash and Zerori? They were the second most reserved and casual of the bunch! What would THEY have to say about her little... demonstration?
...They got MAD, that's what... As if they had any right to be. Quash was over there grumbling and muttering about making Kazi regret her actions, the majin merely sneering at the saiyan as she crossed her arms back over her chest. She could feel his ki bubbling inside, ROLLING like a pot over a blazing stove, just a hair's breadth away from EXPLODING in glorious fashion... A thought flashed through her mind as she observed Quash LOSING himself to his anger... His energy felt like that guy from the meditation chamber... with his gold hair and black-clothing... Could it be that Quash was THAT close to getting a transformation like that one...?
Zerori wasn't TOO far behind in temper either. In fact... she was as COCKY as she was enraged!! Her energy had SPIKED... to a moderate degree, and she thought she could actually FIGHT Kazi! ...It wasn't exactly the response she was hoping for... but it was better than all the har-dee-har comradery and good-times that were going on a second ago! Kazi would grin a sinister, toothy grin as Zerori stepped forward.
"Oh? You're my first challenger? You're pretty bold, now aren't you...?" Kazi would then look at Quash, still in the ring, and wink in his direction, sending a small kai-ai in his direction to FORCE him out of its borders. A mere push, not enough to harm... but more than enough to send him skidding out of her arena!
"If anyone enters this arena during the match, their lives are forfeit." Kazi announced, locking eyes with everyone at its borders. "...Keep that in mind if you decide NOW to be a hero." She turned back to Zerori, arms uncrossing and balling tightly into fists. "...I do hope you're not all talk. It would be a shame that, after such a display, you were crushed into dust."

Post by Ryme on Aug 22, 2022 14:08:18 GMT -5
Ryme had watched the story the day before, he had shrugged it off but his brother saw a business opportunity. He did bring a valid point that there would be strong fighters there, at the very least the women sponsoring the tournament. Ryme had planned on watching the event as if it was a reality tv show. Looking into his brother's gleaming eyes, he already knew he'd be participating instead. He knew that if he wanted to push the issue he could probably have Zero agree to not go. However, the brothers had yet to find a threat since being on the planet so he felt confident in their undertaking.
"Yeah let us go, maybe I'll spy a good magic user there."
Ryme would take his sweet time getting ready as his brother exited the ship, off to the tournament in a hurry. Putting on his rings and weighted clothing, he sighed one last time. It was game time, they had seen a couple of individuals as their ship passed by he wondered who would be fighting first or if there would even be a real tournament.
As he walked out of the ship towards his brother, he saw a monkey get blasted by the creature who gave the speech. He seemed angry and now looked as if he was about to transform. One of their employees, Zerori, seemed to be on the same track. Ryme would arrive near his brother as Kazi stated that she'd be taking challenges one at a time. Zerori would step up to the plate first, and Kazi would blather on about rules. As if there were rules that mattered once you discussed destroying a planet. She was either naive or this was her first time taking a planet hostage. Ryme would be delighted to find out which.
"Quite sad that our employees seem to make up the majority of the forces here. I do hope that monkey pulls his weight is he the USD representative or something?"
Ryme would speak quite loudly to his brother if anyone in the tournament was intent on listening they could easily make out his words. He'd start staring at all the entrees, seeing what he could make of them. The phantom twinge of wanting to move his hand up to his scouter, looking at their PnL he knew that it wouldn't be too much longer until he had the capital. It was one of the downsides to starting a Conglomerate most of the brother's money was tied up in assets now instead of liquidity.

Post by Majin Zero Ika on Aug 23, 2022 17:31:58 GMT -5
Zero nodded to his brother and sighed as he saw one of them though she was still a contracted only employee, he still did not wish for one of them to die. Though he did know that Zerori held her own decently well against Ryme, and after his last sparring session with his brother on their way to Vegeta, he confirmed the gap between the two of them. Zero looked over at Ryme as he lower his hand to his weights. "I am unhappy with such a ruling that she will kill us. Please, someone needs to teach this brat a lesson. Threaten West City and get away with it, I think not!"
Zero lowered his body to the ground putting himself between the two women. He had heard what the green woman said, but he did not care. If she chose to attack him then so be it, he would deal with it.
"Before your little match with the saiyan here, would you have a moment for us to discuss something perhaps? You see your threat to blow up this planet is not lining up with my plans for West City or rather the planet at this time. Perhaps we could come to some arrangement to leave West City at least out of your little destruction path?"
Was he risking his life here? He doubted it, to him no one was stronger than him, no one had proved that they were stronger than him. He already knew he could dispose of a majin after his fight with Liari, and this being seemed to fit the description of one. Perhaps she was the very one he had been looking for.
"I would also like to be made aware of why you are on Earth, are you searching for one of your own? Perhaps this is some type of ploy to drag a blue Majin out? Perhaps you are the very Majin I have been looking and after all this time you show up on my doorstep. I can tell that you have cleared absorbed someone judging from your speech though perhaps it was some type of vile person you have taken into yourself. Either way, I do not care if you kill those gathered here today, but I do mind for those in my city.
Zero made sure before he started to speak his arms were uncrossed in case he needed to put up a Ki barrier. He had already noted that their temper seemed to be short and he was likely putting himself in the heat of an oncoming attack, but these two things he needed to try and find out before he let this show go on any further. If this would be the person he had been searching for then great, after they had their fun he would ask for them to follow him back to Liari. If not, then oh well they could keep having their fun. The most important thing however was if they did want to keep West City in their line of sight of places to be destroyed, well then Zerori would have to just shut her mouth because he already knew she was going to have something to say, probably along the lines of " He asshole, I'm trying to fucking fight here. Move the fuck out of my way so I can put this bitch in her place.......Boss" IF he had to guess, which he was sure he would not have to do and he would be hearing it any second now.
What confused Zerp the most though was that Liari was NOT here, and she had not shown up to play with this majin or inquire about their presence or origins to try and find this person they were searching for either. Especially since this was a female majin who appeared out of nowhere. There were many questions he could ask but the changeling would not have the time to ask them all, it was those two questions that he cared about.
After he got his answers he would then decide what to do, on the off hand, this was the majin he was looking for and if they did want to destroy the entire planet then he would have no choice but to kill them and then somehow to break it Liari he probably killed his only lead for her. He had meant his word when he told her he would do her this favor, and she had paid his favor forward. She had helped him acquire West City, she had fought those two monkeys for him, well she had tried to save the one who he smacked and killed, but Liari had chosen to fight Doctor Donkey Kong to show him what it had felt like to get beaten like that. Still, it had pleased him to see her so Loyal and act in line.
She had become more than just a test subject for what her race could do, she was still not someone he saw as a family though that meant little to him really. She was, however, showing him he could lean on her she had shown that she wanted more responsibilities and such when he had lunch with her before he had set off for Vegeta, and before he could even come back and tell her he was home, this happened. What was a changeling to do? He had a city to look after and a lot of profits to make, he could not afford to let this majin do as they wished no matter who they were if this meant they were going after his people.
The biggest thing that would be taken away from this is any news crew that was out here filming from a distance or orbital views of the games Zero Ika of West City stood up to the threat of the Planet FOR his City. The press would eat this alive, and to have his brother here with him on site would make it even better. It would be the first time the two made a public on screen appearance since they had moved their Company's Headquarters to West City. The Brothers showing up to defend the world or even their city would boost sales and profits by such a large amount. Zero was already subconsciously running the theoretical numbers.
So far the only way this would be a losing situation for him is if he or his brother would die, and he knew that would not happen, they were the strongest people on Earth by far. No Saiyan nor majin had ever bested them in a spar while they were in their base forms, which meant if they ever even needed their TRUE forms they would still be way out of the league of others. So this was not even a phantom thought in his head. Zero was, even so, sure of their power that he was confident they could beat everyone here by themselves without even having to enter their third form much less their True form. So in the end there was nothing to lose by flying down into the dead center of the ring.

The sound of combat was soon to be followed by the cries around them, and then quickly back to combat once again in a matter of moments that made it seem as though none of it had happened in the first place were it not for the damage already caused. Khyrop was impressed by the situation to an extent, this Majin made rules and stipulations all to give them a chance, no, this was for herself he had begun to think as he stared at them. His eyes and ears are trained to work like machines of surveillance the bio-android had a skill in observing the things that happened around him, and although everything inside him was telling him that any misstep here would lead to death.
However, there was something about the entire scene before him that compelled him to stay perched where he was, his head swiveling where his eyes didn't, staring intently while observing them all as he waited to see what they were going to do. There were plenty of capable fighters here, and there were also those who were weaker than himself to the point where the Bio-Android started to become unsure what his course of action should be.
It was then that he saw everyone who was about to rush her become stopped for just a moment as she declared what would happen if they didn't listen to her again, he couldn't say he cared but he also didn't know what she would do to the rest of them in her rage. When Zerori belted out her own challenge and stepped up to the plate it caused him to raise an eyebrow, he felt curiosity override his mind once again as he couldn't help but wonder what the woman's plan was. From what he could tell this Majin would be able to blast them all straight to the otherworld with no issue, but it wasn't impossible to win here although single fights seemed to be a decision of pure suicide. If there was something more to it all he couldn't see it at the moment, however, there was always the chance she was a fool he had thought.
"Mm the Ika brothers are here though." He suddenly thought aloud as he turned to look at his employers and allies, although he soon found his head turning to the arena once again as Zero approached it. "Well this seems on par, but I have to say everything here is taking unexpected turns too quickly."
In his mind he couldn't quite understand what the Ikas' play here would be, he hadn't received any prior communication, and even now as they ended up in the same place it made him wonder what was going on. The information he had on them since leaving the planet and even their return had completely taken him by surprise. As he saw Zero intending to break the rules placed nearly immediately he felt his body tense up knowing that things were likely going to put him in the firing line of someone soon enough. No, he originally thought he would just wait for the perfect opportunity to assimilate one of these fighters, but now it seemed he may be forced into a more proactive role depending on how the Majin might react.
"I do hope they know what they're doing though." He said as his eyes would turn to Quash next, another thought forming in his mind as he began to formulate all of the possibilities in this situation. "Though that one is also angry, and with one breaking the rules whose to say that he will either."
With this in mind, Khyrop stood up from his spot and would start flapping his wings to put himself in the air, before soon enough keeping himself up with his Ki he would still flap his wings here and there as if to give the impression he was hovering from pure mechanical strength instead of using his ki to keep himself afloat. He didn't wanna give away too much about himself, he didn't know when he'd be fighting anyone here and with the raging Saiyan, the other one who answered the challenge, the Ikas, and the Majin herself it seemed as if the entire situation was already beyond hostile. He would simply wait in the air, watching to determine his next move.

The overall mood of the games had really shifted! These weren't so much games anymore, as the hostile tensions between Kazi and the rest of the attendees kind of sucked the fun out of things. Then again, games didn't always necessarily have to be fun, as Didgeri had seen first hand plenty of games that certainly were not fun and were potentially backed by a much more sinister mind than that of the Majin. What's world domination compared to a scam set up for money?
Focusing on the present, Didgeridoo knew he was totally outclassed by everybody in attendance. With so many of them blatantly against Kazi - even his cat burglaring partner-in-crime, Quash - Didgeri didn't feel very concerned. When she had him at blast-point, naturally it made sense for his heart to start racing, but now that he had the illusion of safe distance, he felt a lot better. Then again, Didgeri wasn't one to worry much anyway, so who knew how worried he was about the games and any potential side effects of participating.
All he knew was the games were the only thing separating him from today's goal, the toilet night light, so he wanted them to proceed as Kazi planned. Most of everybody butting heads with her certainly wasn't going to make that any easier, but again, there wasn't anything he could really do about it. For now, all he could do was plop down on the grass surrounding the area and just wait for something to happen pertaining to him.
