It was a week after Athren had managed to learn the Spirit Control technique, he was well rested and fresh, and ready to learn more of the Yardrat techniques. Though he had felt like he accomplished so much in a short amount of time, he still knew that he had quite the way to go yet to accomplish what he came here to do. At first, he thought it'd be a nice and simple trip with nothing too major to learn. He had no idea about Spirit Control or another technique that Pybara educated him about. After Instant Transmission, Athren wanted to learn the Spirit Fission. It wasn't a technique he came here for, but it wasn't one that he could leave without. It was unique, special, and powerful. It could be used to save the lives of those around him. These two techniques were truly everything he wanted and it would prevent the tragic events that happened on Earth from ever happening to him again. He'd have the speed and the means to revive people. It was a win win for him.
Once again he was eager and determined, he was ready to continue his training. He had found himself in his new attire with his super heavy weighted clothing wrapped around his waistline, his hair was blonde and his eyes turquoise. He was getting the most he could out of his super saiyan transformation, he wanted to work it, he wanted it to feel like second nature to him. He wanted to get used to the power and the feeling, he wanted full control over it and by doing it this way, he could easily kill two birds with one stone. For the more he used his super saiyan, the more comfortable he'd get with it.
Though that wasn't the primary focus of today, it wasn't about his newfound super saiyan strength or his own personal agenda of techniques he came up with and wanted to learn for himself, today was all about the instant transmission. It was a very useful technique, one that would allow Athren to teleport to anywhere he could sense a Ki signature. It'd make him one of the fastest beings in the universe and if there was ever anybody he ever cared about being threatened, he'd be able to get there in an instant. It was much to useful for him to ignore and he knew he wanted it and he knew he'd have it mastered by the end of the day. There wasn't anything holding him back and he was full of confidence. With that, the feelings he had about the loss of his children had shifted too, though he was still very angry and sad, he was able to focus that energy into something positive, into making it right and he wouldn't keep them waiting, he'd get them back as soon as he could, he was on the right track, he was pushing for success. All he had to do now was accomplish it all.
Athren had found himself alone today, after some guidance from Pybara on how to achieve the instant transmission, Pybara would use the technique to go to the other side of the planet, the concept here was to get Athren to teleport to him and celebrate with dinner. It wasn't much to the technique, it required one to focus and once locked on, to simply teleport.
Athren had found himself alone in the quiet woods of Yardrat, his eyes closed and his breathing slow and steady. Athren was focused on nothing but Pybara's energy signature. He could feel it like it was right beside him, like there was no more than a foot between the two. He focused on nothing but that. The sound of the birds, the wind, though calming didn't grab his attention at all. As Athren focused he would raise his right hand up and place two fingers on his forehead. Pybara said it was a good way to help focus and assist in the use of the technique and for now, Athren wanted to take it slow, he wanted to walk before he ran and get the basics down before he improved upon the technique. He knew once he got comfortable with the basics, he wouldn't need to place his fingers on his head to help him focus but that was all in due time.
For now he just needed to take it slow and focus on getting to Pybara. Athren had felt confident about this, it felt like Pybara was right there next to him. Close enough to reach out and touch. Athren took a deep breath, focused and picked his moment to teleport. The sensation on his body was weird as he moved and when he appeared he was a few feet above a lake with no Pybara in sight and Athren would've fell right in with a big sploosh! "Damn it!" Athren grumbled as he treaded water for a few seconds before hovering himself out.
"Well that didn't go as planned." Athren chuckled, keeping a very light sense of humor to it all. Though he wanted to be quick, the reality of it all was that he had nothing but time and he'd rather spend a few extra days or week making sure he was fully prepared, than rush to Namek in effort of finding the Dragon Balls. He needed to be sure he was ready to face anything that came his way, history couldn't repeat itself. He couldn't fail again. He needed his kids back in this world, he needed to know they were safe but he had to do it right and damn well make sure he was ready. A few weeks extra wouldn't hurt much.
Without much of a pause, Athren would close his eyes and press his fingers against his forehead one more time. He calmed his breathing once more and focused on nothing but Pybara's energy signature, and it didn't take very long for Athren to once again attempt his hand at teleporting. Though once more, he ended up in a very random location. This time it was the heart of one of the biggest villages on the planet. His ocean blue eyes opened all for a brief moment and he looked around, a vast majority of eyes had been on him, though he didn't let this get to him. He simply just closed his eyes and focused, one more time. He was determined, he was going to get this, he was going to learn the instant transmission today.
Athren would attempt this three more times, each time appearing in another random location on the Planet Yardrat. Though it never really got under his skin, or got annoying and it surely didn't discourage him. He was keeping a positive attitude, through and through. The ending was almost in sight, not just from the instant transmission technique but his adventure on Yardrat. He was looking forward to putting this training to use and getting off this planet. Though the planet and people were good to him, he was getting that feeling that it was almost time to go.
While he was here, he grew so much stronger and had learned so much and he was grateful for it all but it wasn't home, it wasn't a place he wanted to stay long-term, he wanted to get what he needed from it and move on, wanted to take all of this elsewhere and get back to his goals, his life. It had felt like a long time coming.
On Athren's next attempt he once again focused, his fingers to his forehead and when he felt like he was locked onto Pybara's location, he teleported and this time, he arrived right next to his master and a large table of food. Before Athren even opened his eyes Pybara would speak a greeting. "I'd say it's about time you finally showed up, your foods getting cold!"
Athren couldn't help but give a faint little chuckle and though he normally wasn't so light hearted, he couldn't help but be in this moment. "Yeah, I Took a wrong turn.. Got a little bit lost on the way here.." AFter the light jokes were exchanged it was time to eat, Athren would sit down and enjoy his meal with his master knowing that he had another technique underneath his belt. All that was left was Spirit Fission.
This next technique he knew was going to be another long one, another tough one to master but he wasn't going to back down from it. He needed to see it through and get off this Planet. Pybara estimated Athren would take about three weeks to master it and in three weeks, Athren would be off this Planet and head back to Earth for a little check-in. Maybe see Zerori and Ayu, see how they had been doing since they all last spoke, until then he'd have to make due with the company he had.
