The slums of the lower district of the Saiyan Capital had its fair share of bars and at reasonable prices compared to the ones in the royal district. Thaw had been making his way down the streets of the lower district and eyes from the shadow and even all around him had taken notice of the cloak eventually that clearly had a tail concealed underneath all that. No doubt, they all thought the same thing and that their was a changeling in their city.

Entering the bar through a dirty curtain rather than a door spoke volumes of the place. The smell of alcohol would hit Thaw's face like a hammer to a nail. Darting his eyes around, he would finally bring both his hands to his hood and dropping it back to reveal his face to the crowd that continued to mean mug him. A particular group of saiyans were playing pool and the leader of this low life gang had a typical eyepatch covering his eye as he took notice of the changeling almost instantly due to his incredible small height.

He would stop what he was doing and hand over the pool stick over to his buddy as he walked over to Thaw with a slight smirk across his face. Now towering over him from behind, the once lighting that Thaw could see in front of him had now been casted a shadow over him and he raised a brow in curiosity.


"That's odd, why is there ano-"

Before he could finish his sentence, he was back head slapped across the face and sent flying straight into the wall as he then laid on a couch and being face pressed against it upon landing. The leader of this gang had laughed as he folded his arms across his chest with a new found confidence as his three other boys had showed up beside him ready to rumble just in case the changeling thought twice in confronting him. Thaw was dazed and to think that no one would mess with him since his race was known as being all powerful and natural, he was taken aback for a moment. Thaw getting up from the ground and looking to the leader and his crew that stood before him.

"I can see why you guys are living in this part of town. No manners or class."

This only had provoked the leader who now had clenched his fist and began to rush over to Thaw in sheer anger. Trying to punch him square in the face, Thaw was quick to move his head to the side as he now planted his own hand against the chest of the saiyan and firing off a ki blast straight into the center of his chest and sending him back straight against the wall. His crew was shocked at what he had done to their leader and they began to power up as well. The three of them trying to get him in a triangle formation as Thaw had now darted his eyes quickly at the three of them.

"Three on one? and here I thought saiyans had pride and always wanted to fight one on one, looks like only the high class have that stance."

Ignoring the arcosian, the one on Thaw's right had now rushed over to him and attempting to sock him straight in the cheek. Thaw was quick to block the incoming attacked with his forearm. Now his left side was being attacked by the other Saiyans left leg straight to Thaw's other side of the face. Thaw was also quick to block that incoming attack as well. Now the center saiyan saw the opportunity and quickly began to rush straight at Thaw in hopes that he couldn't defend himself now. Thaw closing his eyes and opening them before the saiyan could strike him in the chest with a straight sidekick. The saiyan feeling his body tighten as a gust of air straight to brush through his clothing as his eyes had opened in mere fear.

"What the.... what is this?!"

Thaw using his telekinesis to push the center saiyan and sending him straight over to the bar counter and causing him to knock down all of the glasses and bottles of alcohol straight over his head. Knocking out in the process and causing the owner of the bar to become angry with the saiyans who had decided to cause so much trouble. The two saiyans who still were trying to break Thaw's defense were now being slightly pushed back and not touching Thaw's arms anymore as Thaw now stood with his arms folding across his chest as his telekinesis barrier had now formed and could be seen by the both of them. Thaw now using the same telekinesis push on the remaining two and sending them straight to opposite sides of the wall and knocking them out in the process.

Thaw had continued his journey through the bar when he found an invitation just laying on the ground after sending one of those saiyans across the room. It was an invitation to a tournament and the winner would be receiving a lot of money for it, which is what Thaw truly needed money! Thaw had walked away and headed to another part of town which would be a local restaurant that saiyans liked to go to. What made this place different from the others was that barely any customers were present. That is because all of the customers were in the back of the restaurant where the true event was happening. He had arrived and the owner of the place was there to greet him. 

"Ah, welcome to slug pies, how can I be of service to ya?

"I have this invitation."

Thaw handing the man over the invitation and the man squinting his eyes as he looked around.

"Go on in friend."

The owner had handed these invitations out to the best of the best fighters. Whether you got your invitation through home address purposefully since the owner wanted only the strong to come or actually beating someone up and taking it from them. That is the only way someone would be getting the invitation. The place truly was a lot bigger from the inside than on the outside and also the interior of the actual restaurant that could only fit like 10 or so guest. There were so many competitors there and Thaw was only one out of hundreds there...






Announcer




"LADIES AND GENTLEMAN AND OTHER LIFEFORMS OUT THERE! I AM YOUR HOST FOR THIS TOURNAMENT! WE WILL BE STARTING THIS TOURNAMENT WITH A FEW RULES! RULE NUMER ONE, IF YOU ARE OUT OF BOUNCE YOU ARE AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFIED. THERE IS NO FLYING ALLOWED WHILE IN THE RING. KILLING IS ALSO ALLOWED, SO HAVE FUN! OUR FIRST MATCH UP IS..."

The announcer would read off the que cards.

"Our first match up is Gabu the Great! A world renown bounty hunter! He has taken the lives of many and so little is known about his home planet! AND OUR OTHER CONTENDER, comes from the Planet Frost, Thaw. Gentlemen please come to the ring!"

Thaw had arrived with a simple jumping onto the ring and having his arms folded across his chest as he stood there with confidence, whoever his opponent was wasn't going to be a match for him. Gabu had arrived on the stage, struggling to climb onto the steps of the ring by using the stairs that were fit for normal size individuals. He would finally get on the stage and laying on his back, already being exhausted.

"THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS. HOW DARE YOU THREAT SHORT PEOPLE DIFFERENT!"

Thaw had a raised brow and slightly facepalm himself, was this some kind of joke being played on him... This was a bounty hunter that so many knew about? There must of been some kind of mistake... right? Gabu was done panting as he now got onto his feet and placing both his hands on his knees as he pulled out his inhaler.

"Just give me a second... I just need to take a breather an-"

The announcer getting on the microphone.

"AND BEGIN!"

Thaw was quick to rush over to Gabu and sending a straight kick to his face.

"Wha?!"

Gabu was sent flying back in the air and it looking to be a ring out in a matter of seconds. Thaw shaking his head in disbelief as he calmly turned his back from Gabu and looking at the announcer.

"That was simple..."

Gabu spitting out his long tongue and wrapping it around Thaw's stomach and using it to pull himself back into the ring and now being over Thaw's body and releasing the grip on his stomach and placing his tongue back in his mouth as he now landed in front of Thaw and folding his arms across his chest.

"NEVER COUNT OUT GABU THE GREAT!"

Gabu stood there proudly with his hands now on his hips and breathing heavily. All Thaw could think about was how that purple tongue frog had wrapped his disgusting tongue around his body.

"LISTEN YOU FROG, DON'T EVER GRAB ME WITH YOUR DISGUSTING TONGUE AGAIN!"

"WHAT DID YOU CALL ME! I AM A TOAD YOU UNCULTURED SWINE!"

Gabu was quick to spit out his tongue yet again at Thaw and Thaw was quick to leap back and getting out of reach from Gabu, who had then began to spit a purple fog straight at Thaw who began to shield himself from it and holding his breath. The smell was definitely that of the sewers and swamp with body odor just making it ten times worst. Now jumping into the air with a slight cough, Thaw now focused his attention down below at Gabu who now was looking at him with squinted eyes.

"I hope you like my poison. You won't be able to survive long now."

Thaw's eyes had widen at this recent discovery....

"Poison... that sly frog...."

Thaw was quick to send several ki blast straight at Gabu before taking his landing on the ground. Gabu was quick to leap away from the incoming blast and quickly firing a few mouth blast straight at Thaw. Thaw was quick to dodge the first one and immediately grabbing a hold of the second mouth blast and immediately falling flat on his back as he diverted the blast straight to the ceiling. The ki barrier that had surrounded the arena had proven to be useful since it had protected the ceiling from any harm and turning the blast into smoke. Thaw was getting incredibly frustrated with Gabu and quickly getting back on his feet as he now fired a variety of finger beams straight for Gabu. Ripping apart his red armor and causing Gabu to be naked from the waist up as he now had several injuries all around his body.

"You may be quick on your feet when it comes to my other attacks, but my finger beams are quite different in speed."

Gabu had panted as he took a kneel in frustration and looking at his opposition.

"You really think this is over?!"

Thaw had now rushed over to Gabu and attempting to jump lunge side kick Gabu in his stomach but Gabu was quick to inhale enough air to where he looked like a balloon. Beginning to expand in size and reaching up to 10ft in height and 1 ton in weight. He was now in his blimp form and his soft rasp voice was now deep and intimidating.

"HAHAHAAHAHHAAH! NOW YOU ARE IN A WHOLE LOT MORE TROUBLE!"

Thaw's eyes had widen and clearly he had never met such an opponent like Gabu and to make matters worst, Thaw had started to feel the effects of the poison as he started to grab a hold of his chest. He started to sweat and kneeling to the floor as he looked at Gabu with one eye open.

"First you will start to sweat and feel sick. Then you will start to feel like you are going blind... then you will start to lose your hearing. You will then be fully knocked out. Its only temporary so you will regain all your hearing and sight once you wake up and lose this fight. Many opponents have fallen victim to my poison. Which is how I was able to beat the best of the best throughout the galaxy despite my low power level. You see, once my victims fall asleep, they don't wake up after this. Who knows maybe you won't be so lucky.. Your race has always disgust me. Now its time to put an end to this fight."

Gabu had now walked over to Thaw and each step had caused the ground to shake as the crowd started to cheer Gabu's name! Gabu now grabbing a hold of Thaw and beginning to squeeze his body with a simple grip. Thaw was now grunting in pain as he now slammed him to the ground and stomping on his body.

"I haven't had this much fun in a long time!"

Thaw had now grabbed a hold of Gabu's giant size foot and holding it there for a brief moment. Now using his telekinesis, he had now pushed Gabu fully over and causing him to fly straight on his back which caused the arena to shake. Thaw had now jumped to his feet and into the air as he began to fire a barrage of ki blast straight at Gabu. One after another it had hit and smoke was now building up and covering Gabu entirely. Thaw had panted and finally collapse to his butt as he started to lose his vision.... Remembering what Gabu had said about the levels of the poison. Thaw had both his eyes closed as Gabu was now able to get to his feet and looking at the effects of the poison kicking in. He saw now that Thaw had both his eyes closed.

"Good good. Its working. Now its time to end this."

Gabu had now spit his tongue straight at Gabu and wrapping it around both Thaw's arms and body as he began to slam him across the ground back and forward. Thaw had been injured... so much so that he was starting to get more angry. He only had a small room to work with and fired his finger beam straight through the tongue of Gabu and Gabu shouting in pain as he released Thaw from his grasp and Thaw focusing his attention in front of him.

"I don't care how big you are, you are easy to detect with your horrible bad odor!"

Gabu was growing increasingly frustrated as Thaw was becoming more and more annoying at how he was able to get the advantage from the fight. Thaw was quick to rush over to Gabu and sending a strong telekinesis push straight at him, which had caused him to bounce around the arena and finally deflating back to his normal self as he was sent out of the ring and into nearby patrons at their table. Breaking the table and knocking out in the process. Thaw had won his first battle and would eventually lose in the tournament down the line.
