The last few days had been a whirlwind for the Chiropteran Bio-android as he had arrived on the planet Earth since he had learned about the PTO's operations on the planet so far, especially after having heard of the connections his superior Zero Ika had already been making. While it had been a success for them with Zero even claiming a city there was still more work to be done and Khyrop was eager to put in his own efforts for the organization. With this in mind, he would capitalize on the work of his formers and seek to gain more influence and power not only for them but himself as well.
"So far this is the most interesting place yet," Khyrop spoke to himself as he eyed people moving around the city as he thought about how it compared to the others he had been. "Well let's just hope that my contact is just as interesting as here."
As he perched on the building he enjoyed the leftover of his breakfast, something he had stolen from a random passerby, but then again no one was going to believe a giant red bat shimmering with light had mugged them for an egg and sausage bagel. Even if it was an odd and unlikely situation it had happened and he had enjoyed the bagel. As he licked his lips clean of the grease and cheese he would stare into the alley below and wait for a moment until there was no one else.
At that moment he would jump down from his vantage point so that way he'd be easier to find the man he was supposed to meet. He knew only a few key details from the messages he had sent to him by others, he was a gang leader of sorts, and would be useful for him to learn more about the area as well as get a connection himself so he could get a lead on sources of information caches as well as useful targets. Although he loved the former the latter had been enticing him for the sake of feeding his hunger and possibly making some gains for the PTO.
The air in the alley was stagnant, it wasn't dirty but it was incredibly stale as the wind blew past both sides with very little airflow in between. It made him a bit uncomfortable as he generally liked to know where the air was flowing for escape and he had begun to pace before stepping into a puddle and it splashing back onto him. "Ugh, I wonder if he knows a good tailor, some backup pants would be almost as good as a book and some meat of sorts, something's ribs probably."
Although his fanciful pants were a bit damp from the snow-water in the alley he had forgotten about it as he began to pace in his spot thinking about the food he might find here, or what sort of books and technology this city and their factions had used. His movements were unconscious he was going to be stuck in his thoughts until something pulled him from himself.

PL: 1,987 (Weighed Down) | Items: Super Weighted Clothing (75% reduced pl, 75% increased pl gains) | WC: 448 | TWC: 448 Derrick had recently been approached by one of Zero's men, asking for an appointment with another one of its members whenever he is next available. The boss of the Dirty Snakes wasn't opposed to such a meeting in the slightest, aiming to further his relations with the PTO to gain further trust and favor in the event that he would need either their assistance or absence. He was told to meet a member named Khyrop in a dank alleyway close by to Dirty Snakes HQ. The boss wasn't entirely comfortable enough to just let any member of the PTO into HQ just yet. He'd have to first see what they're all about before giving them permission to enter. Besides, he has a tendency to conduct most of his work and deals in alleyways regardless.
After leaving Hazel to tend to Maggie while he was gone for the morning, Derrick takes his leave of the HQ and takes a stroll toward the agreed upon alleyway, where he would meet up this member of the PTO. He's tried to look up this Khyrop in the files back at HQ, but it seems like they have next to no information about them, and from what details he received from the messenger, all he could determine was that he was about to engage in dealings with a bio android. They weren't even specific about what species that the bio droid even took after. Perhaps he's going to have to invest in better informants, because otherwise he's basically just going to waltz into deals blind, and that can absolutely get the boss in trouble.
The alleyway sat in between a local business that sold wooden wicker furniture and a small bank, its miniscule size and close location to the Dirty Snakes HQ making it an undesirable target for the gang. He rounds the corner and beholds what he anticipates is the bio android that he was supposed to meet, though he didn't quite expect Khyrop to appear to be a bat of all things. Normally this would be the time where he would scan the target with his scouter sunglasses, but they were still on the fritz and weren't functioning properly. He raises the broken scouter sunglasses to rest upon his head as he slowly approaches the figure, who appeared to be lost in their own thought at the current moment. "You are Khyrop, I take it?" Derrick asks as he makes his first attempt to snap them out of their self-imposed trance. "I'm Derrick Ottoy of the Dirty Snakes. Pleasure to meet you."

Although he was in his trance as the man had started to approach his ears would react before his mind ever did, twitching and tilting towards him and listening to his steps waiting until an important sound came, then came the snap. The Bio-Android would immediately turn to look up at him, the four-foot bat would spread his wing span to flap them and hover in place while looking at his new acquaintance.
"Yes, I am Archduke Khyrop." He would land briefly to bow before assuming his place in the air once again so he could meet the man's eyeline with no problem. "It's my pleasure as well, and thank you for meeting with me in a place such as this."
While he knew that it might've been beneficial for Derrick to meet him here it was also good for him, he didn't want to draw any attention just yet although he did not want to leave the city's proximity. He would look past the man and the way he had come thinking of what else this place might hold from the mere sights he had seen when he had flown overhead. It began to eat away at his mind slowly, his gnawing hunger for knowledge at times worse than his physical hunger. However, he was able to satisfy himself somewhat as he observed the gang boss. He examined his form, and how he composed himself and began to make notes in his mind like a biologist examining a creature in the field.
"Remarkable, there's so much I have to learn about this planet and its lifeforms." He would say as would suddenly spin in place before he began to chuckle to himself. It seemed as if he was purely enjoying the moment around him, his maw wide as his fangs flared out in a smile. "I know this proposition might seem presumptuous after us meeting so soon but I have a request of you my would-be ally."
There was a moment of pause after he made his statement, his eyes and ears would turn upon him taking in every visual and audible cue he might give as an indication of how he might feel. Instead of himself caring Khyrop was purely curious of what emotions he might get from this man, how he might feel about him, as he hungered to know more and more with each question popping into his head like a craving until one dominated the others and overrode his reason to otherwise leave it unasked.
"Would you take me to what you would consider the most important place for me to see in this city?" He asked as he stopped flapping his wings for a moment, using his ki to fly as he tilted his head folding his ears over slightly while his leaf-shaped nose twitched as the wind tickled him. "On the way, I would like to know what you consider the values of your organization and how they will benefit us."
As he waited for a response the man looked up to the sky once again and thought how he might like to go after this city for his control, although if there was a conflict of interest for any reason he reasoned there were plenty other on this planet he could claim for himself.

WC: 716 | TWC: 1,164 The bat pacing around the alleyway was quickly alerted to Derrick's presence the moment he spoke up, and the boss is taken aback a bit as his client began flapping his wings for but a brief moment. It is a bit helpful considering the sheer difference in height between the two, but the bio android takes a moment to gently float back down and give him a little bow before formally introducing himself as Archduke Khyrop. Derry certainly hasn't dealt with anybody with such a title before, and he wonders if that's just how they do their ranks within the PTO. "Archduke, eh?" he comments, "That how things run over in the PTO?"
Khyrop thanks the mob boss for meeting him in the alley as he flies back up to eye level, a place most people wouldn't dare call a wonderful meeting spot, though that's the point of such a location. When he's outside of HQ or any abandoned building, an alleyway is the next best case scenario for the boss to conduct his business, giving him plenty of cover from the public's eye. After all, he doesn't wish to draw the ire of the local police or worse. As for his little bat friend, that's definitely more self-explanatory. The average human hasn't exactly encountered a 4 foot bat, and even for Derrick this is the first time he's ever meeting one like Khyrop. Derry waves the bat's thanks, stating, "Eh, it's business as usual for myself. Alleys are a much preferred location anyway."
Throughout the encounter, however, Derrick couldn't help but feel like he was being studied by the bio android, as if the little guy is trying to cram as many mental notes as possible about the mob boss. Derry himself wasn't unfamiliar with something along these lines. After all, he keeps plenty of files of various individuals of interest back at HQ, and in each meeting he always attempts to try to extract more and more information out of them to fill said files. Unfortunately, combat data is out of the question as his scouter sunglasses still don't function properly, but he could acquire special notes about their behavior. Derrick raises his eyebrow the moment Khyrop begins asking him about a certain request that he had, taking a brief moment to think about his next few words. "I'm listening," he replies, his tone giving away his own curiosity for what the bat desires while still attempting to be cautious. The boss has, after all, had his fair share of requests, each of varying importance and self-benefit.
Turns out that the bat just wants to see key locations here in North City, with Derrick already having one place in mind. The little guy also wanted to know just how the Dirty Snakes could be of use to the PTO. If that's all there is to it, then it should be fine to bring the bat over to visit HQ for a bit. "Well, there is one particular location that you might want to keep in the back of your mind when you're here in North City. The Dirty Snakes have placed their stake here in the city's underbelly, and we're aiming to stay. Naturally, HQ for the gang is here, and I think that you'd like to take a look around there. We'll get there when we get there, but I can't just bring anyone there. Being part of the PTO, you certainly have more standing than the average joe, but I need to know if I can trust you in particular."
Khyrop then asks about the Snakes' values and what they can do for the PTO, to which Derrick couldn't help but smirk just a little bit. "Values? Profit and loyalty are our two top priorities in the organization. For the right price, we make sure that things get done. Sure we can always stick to the more legal side of job markets. Bodyguards, accountants, and all that jazz, but I believe that the PTO would be a bit more interested in what we can do on the not-so-legal part. If you're in the market for assassinations, raids, heists, reconnaissance, or anything else that you don't want the USD to catch wind of, you've come to the right gang."

"No, it's a name I've taken for myself, others used it to mock my taste for finer clothes and the manner in which I speak." He would pause for a moment, staring at his claws before turning his focus back to the matter at hand. "But I've reclaimed it, plus I think it sounds fun."
As the conversation drifted towards his request Khy was happy with the response he was given, not only did it tell him about the city but it also told him what the man valued. For some, this was a way to know your enemy to weaken them, but for the Archduke this had been a method to make friends. When the PTO had first found him they had offered him a position, and he offered them the potential he had, putting himself where here needed to be and satisfying their wants. It was how he got what he wanted and it had been his tool ever since he had first woken up, and it hadn't been the end of him doing such.
"I'm glad to know you already hold good sway over the city, and I understand what you're saying." He nodded while floating around scratching his chin before a thought popped into his head. "I'll tell you this, after you've brought me into your home I'll show you were I've set base within the city."
He was sure that the info would be valuable to the man, after all for either of them there was a risk even with the benefit of their connection. At any point, one of them could've been walking into a trap, but it was also the easiest way to try and earn trust by leaving yourself vulnerable to him. However, as he heard more about the Dirty Snakes Khy could feel a bit relieved on that front knowing that he himself had no intent on betraying his new ally. Within the first few moments of talking along with the information, he had been fed the bat android came to the conclusion that it would be better to build on this relationship.
"I can't speak for the others but I find myself pleased to hear that, while loyalty is important to some within the PTO, money is important to us all. " He smirked as he spoke, his large blade-like fangs peeking out as devious joy overtook him with visions of the future. "And to some money drives loyalty, for me, I think that both happen to go hand in hand in a variety of ways."
It was good to get to know each other, and rather than sitting there and asking him about his hobbies and interests he was finding out more by learning where the man kept his dirt and shed his blood. With a smile on his lips and fangs spread wide, he was thoroughly enjoying himself, although it might be hard to tell due to the fact he had a large bat-face. The prospects of the business got his mind racing as he thought about what they could do.
"The PTO will make as much money as we can from this planet, and if we're able to help each other keep making money I'm sure that we can have a great relationship with much to benefit from." He would float in the air so he could use one of his hands to point out the area around them, referring to the city as a whole. "And if this city is where you reside I'm sure that when we liberate it we know exactly who the people will want running it, even if they already are in a sense."
It might have been a bit vague, but with the way, he moved his eyes and motioned to both Derrick and the city as he spoke it would become quite clear what he meant. If he could truly help them with their efforts to turn this planet into a money machine then he would be rewarded, more control over the place he called home and a secured connection within the business to drive more profits for the both of them. To the common man, this would be the deal with the devil moment, however, with the goals in mind of both parties it was more as though the devil was making a deal with himself.
"So my new friend Derrick, should this interest you, I'm sure that you and I could end up the very best of friends." He said with his chuckle breaking through into a burst of almost villainous laughter before ending with a sigh as he wiped away a tear of joy. "Sorry, the thought of the USD not knowing what's coming is just too humorous, but yes from here on I think that I will be serving as a liaison for the PTO so we may build on this."

WC: 418 | TWC: 1,582 It seems to Derrick that Khyrop wanted to take back this originally mocking title. The little one has repurposed it and made it all his own, leaving no room to insult him in that matter specifically, though the boss can see a bit how some people would call him an archduke as a means to poke fun at the bat. What really caught the boss' attention, however, was when Khyrop offered to show Derrick where the bat's own base was once he pays a visit to the Dirty Snakes' HQ. It was certainly a mutual trade of information in exchange for information, and considering Zero's own words about the PTO's intentions, the boss has little fear of the PTO interfering in his business unless it involved them. So long as he stayed out of their business, they would stay out of his unless they wish to collaborate on a certain job.
"I suppose that right there is a fair enough trade," Derrick agrees to the deal, more than satisfied with learning more about a business partner and trading sensitive information with each other. "It would certainly beat just hanging around in this alley the whole time. Thankfully, HQ isn't too far from our current location, though I would suggest tailing me from either the alleys or on the rooftops. Not too sure if the general public would like to gaze upon a giant bat. Then again, who knows the truth? People are people, after all." Khyrop also took particular interest in what Derrick had to share in regards to what his and the Snakes' values are, commenting that he is quite satisfied with learning how the organization and Derry aren't all about getting rich no matter the cost, but also have some form of standards. "Satisfied customers tend to be repeat customers, after all," the boss chimes in.
It was notably a bit difficult to read the bio android's face due to the fact that he's far more used to reading the facial expressions of humanoids. Attempting to figure out how a giant bat is feeling compared to many other species is notably more difficult, but he has a vague sense that Khyrop is quite satisfied. "I'm more than certain that we will all stand to benefit off of this agreement," Derry responds, "And of course, if you have any jobs that you're looking to have performed, I am more than willing to satisfy. However, perhaps we could move this over to my workspace?"

As he listened to Derrick the man just gave a few slight nods in confirmation to his words, he wanted to let him say everything he had to. The bat was a good listener but he definitely hadn't been so out of kindness, it was his way of getting as much information as possible with the added benefit that it made him look as though he had manners. Although he was slowly learning others' perception of oneself was a weapon in of itself he at least knew that it benefited him not to anger others immediately after meeting them. No, he had made that mistake when he first joined the PTO and had learned his lesson the hard way.
"Mm I'm glad we could handle that part without any issue, but I believe you are right, I will tail you from the sky." He said pointing up, there were a few clouds that he could easily hide out of sight if needed, but then again a bat flying wasn't all that out of the ordinary. Even if he was larger than normal it might be harder for some to scale the size from a distance. "That way either one of us can hide separately if we need to but still have a line of sight since we'll know what the other is doing."
He would jump up into a nearby fire-escape to perch and get ready for his flight, he would turn his head to look down at Derrick and continue their conversation before he would fly up, up, and away. His voice chimed out with a chipperness as he did so. "Yes, we can talk about all the details of this relationship once we get there. Also, I think I might have a job for you right away, one that could lead to very lucrative gains for the both of us."
With the hope that this would intrigue him and get him thinking on the way back to his base. Khyrop would then push off the railing, with enough force and grace to send him straight out of the alleyway and into the sky above. He was swift, his body shimmering with light that trailed behind him as he left the area. Although it would be a bit hard to see from the sunlight that was already beaming through the sky. It would be enough for Derrick to see, however, the bat's elemental DNA shining through in that moment from its general instability in comparison to the others that made him up.
"I'm eager to see the place!" He called out with a chuckle before he would disappear into observing range, a red bat visible to whoever would know to look, and in this case it would only be one man who would know where he was and that's how he wanted to keep it. Although he was now out of earshot he spoke to himself, enjoying the situation thoroughly. "This might prove more fruitful than I had originally thought."
Of course Khy didn't just jet off wards in some direction, if he was observed it could be seen that he was flying in a figure-eight pattern. He was moving forward and circling areas all at the same time, all so that way he could circle around people and observe the others while dodging others' eyelines but also for the sake of keeping an eye on Derrick. He was following him trying his very best to make sure that he didn't lose track of the other man. This meeting intrigued him and he planned on doing everything the right way in hopes that it would end out for him under the most ideal of circumstances. After all, how much money was there to be gained if he helped milk this planet for all its worth before their takeover and further profiting?

At the very least the bat was listening quite intently to what Derrick had to share with him. Too often has he come across goon after goon that refuses to pay much attention to just about anything going on around them that doesn't have anything to do with money. Khyrop determines that the best way that he can follow Derry back to HQ is by tailing him from the sky, which was certainly a good idea to stay hidden. Sure people can just look up into the sky to see who or what is flying around, but given how far off of the ground Khyrop would be, it would be hard to tell just how large this bat really is, plus there's the fact that Khyrop's a bat in the first place. It isn't like many people would even question why a bat is flying around, with the extent of their observations likely lying around the point where it's quite early for a bat to be awake.
The bat certainly did have a way to catch the boss' attention as he mentions that he already has a job in mind for the Dirty Snakes to perform, with the promise of a large reward once the job is complete. "Oh, a job so soon?" Derrick first asks as he lowers his sunglasses to shield his eyes once more, "You must surely be quite eager to get this one going, letting me know so soon. But yes, we'll save the details for when we arrive." With that, Khyrop takes off to the skies above, and the boss saw no further reason to delay heading over towards HQ. He straightens his vest a bit before making his way out of the alleyway and heading towards his right, aiming to walk down the first few blocks before returning to the familiar environment that is the alleyway.
After sifting through the dank alleys for two more blocks, the boss stops right outside the backdoor to a seemingly old building. There was no sign up front, no address, no mailbox, and there didn't seem to be any sort of indicating marker with just one exception: A pink snake's eye on the backdoor. Civilians wouldn't bother looking at a place like this, and criminals would think twice about attempting to intrude here without looking to conduct business. The boss looks back up towards the sky and begins waving the bat down, the man having just a bit of trouble looking for him.

With his eyes and ears tuned into the man and scenery below him it wasn't long before Khy got sight of Derrick, the signage being the second thing he noticed as he started to circle around. He didn't dive straight down, no, with his eyes peeled he looked for the most discreet way to glide into a nearby alley and around to where he had been led. It took a few seconds but before they could hit even two minutes the man glided right into place next to the gang boss.
"I would've been here quicker but there was some bird in my way, excellent snack on the go if mildly annoying." He pat his stomach as he spoke, clarifying he had indeed ate the creature mid-air. It might've been gross to some but his constant consumption kept him full of energy and drive for the world around him. "Though I'm sure you can reccommend better meals around here."
His laugh broke the end of his sentence before his eyes would turn back to the entrance, he held them there for a second as he took it in and memorized what the entrance looked like. If these guys were to end up good allies he would need to know when, where, and how to get to their headquarters if they needed his assisstance at anything. Although the eye was stuck on his mind at the moment he tried not to dwell on it for too long, knowing that staring at ones base might seem slightly suspicious on first glance even whatever his intentions might be.
"Lovely place, nice and secluded but also well defended." Khyrop knocked on the wall in the alley as he spoke about it, knowing that it would be hard for anyone to raid this place without trying to blow it apart. Although, he thought that someone like Derry would have countermeasures. "If you're any indicator of what I might find inside, consider me interested in not only you but your operation as well."
It might've sounded like flattery at first, and in some aspects was, but for Khyrop he was mearly stating facts as he thought of them. Derry was good at business from he had heard and seemed to have good sense from what he saw regarding his location and methods of operation. It only made him want to learn more so he could figure out how he could fully incorporate working with one another. As the plans formed and lingered on his subconcious he then turned his eyes to the door knowing that such plans couldn't start until they made it inside.
"Now we can go inside and offer my proposition, and after such whether or not you accept the work we can return to my base." He said with a nod, moreso for himself than the other as his ears flattened backwards with his movements. "You never know when we might need to rush to one another's help."

WC: 996 | TWC: 2,998 The boss was left waiting outside the entrance to the Dirty Snakes HQ for quite a bit of time. Normally he would be rather patient and give his guests the benefit of the doubt, but considering how fast Khyrop was, Derrick had hoped that the bat would be just a bit quicker with trying to get down to the ground. The bat does eventually find his way back down to the ground, however, and gives a bit of an excuse, stating that a bird was in the way and that he wanted a snack. It certainly isn't the strangest thing Derry has ever heard one of his partners say, so the comment doesn't really bother him too much, though he does also mention to the biodroid, "We do also have food inside HQ as well, you know. Cooked food, I should add. Regardless, there's a few places here and there that serve food that I would personally find more appetizing than a live bird."
Khyrop gives his regards to the secret yet well defended Dirty Snakes building, a place more than durable to withstand standard explosive ordinance, though when you have a ki user flying around with a power level ten times greater than the combined power of everybody inside, it doesn't exactly last too long. Thankfully he has yet to draw the ire of such a powerful being, and he plans on keeping it that way if he wants the gang to flourish. "Your average gangster here on Earth wouldn't dare attempt anything here, but a good enough hit from a powerful enough individual would still leave a mark. It's durable, but we're always looking to do better."
It was about time the two of them stopped waddling around in the alleyway and actually enter the base. Derrick walks up to the door and gives it two knocks followed by a long pause before finishing off with three quick knocks. An eye-level slide opens up and two glowing red eyes peer though, looking straight at Derry. "Afternoon boss. Any guests for today?" the boss steps aside to let the glowing red pair of eyes gaze upon Khyrop before stating, "A business partner from the PTO, Khyrop. I hope proper accommodations can be made for my guest?" "Of course, sir. Whatever he may request, we'll deliver to our best." The slide on the door closes shut, and the door swings open for the two to enter. "I'd advise sticking close to me," Derrick requests as he walks into the building.
The HQ looked a bit less like the HQ of some street gang and more like the first floor of a casino, filled to the bring with valuable decorations, comfy seating for Snakes and guests, two different bars and dining areas, and of course, casino staples such as blackjack and poker tables and slot machines. The place was quite lively, with gang members and their visitors busy trying to see if they can make away with a bigger paycheck or lose out for this week. Humans, saiyans, beastfolk, and all sorts of demons alike fill the floor and give it life, with only a few of them giving Khyrop a bit of a look as the duo pass. Their ultimate destination wasn't here on the first floor, however. Instead, Derrick continues towards a set of dark red stone stairs leading up to the second floor, which in comparison to the loud and lively first floor was a lot more peaceful yet lonely.
The wood lined walls acted as a stark contrast to the lovely marble of down below, and though there were a few people here as well, they were far more reserved and quiet, not wanting to have any of their own plans and schemes revealed to anybody else around. Everyone here was too absorbed in their own chats that they didn't even register the arrival of their boss, though Derrick didn't really mind. The boss continues on down one of the many hallways located here, each lined up with either private offices or bedrooms. Having your very own office and bedroom is just one of the perks of becoming an elite within the gang, but that is far in the future if Khyrop has any interest in the slightest on joining. He'll likely stick with the PTO, but the door is always open.
Outside of the office at the end of the hallway, there stands what appears to be a floating metal sphere, its only standout feature being its two glowing red eyes. "Welcome, boss," it begins to greet, "and welcome, esteemed guest. Is there perhaps anything I could do for you two today?" "I'm fine myself. What about you, Khyrop?" The robot floats around the bat and waits for a potential request as Derrick turns his attention back onto Khyrop and states, "Here is my office. Hazel would be here to greet you, but unfortunately she is quite busy. I believe she has a show going on over in East City right now. Now, let's not waste too much more time." He reaches forward and twists the doorknob slowly, the door creaking over slowly until it was wide enough for the boss to fit through.
The office was adorned with all sorts of decorations, including the likes of highly detailed paintings, artifacts and trophies with demonic origins, and of course, a few of Hazel's posters. The place was far more plain before the demon came into his life, but now it definitely feels more like someone actually hangs around here. Two cabinets stand at the back of the room, one filled with all sorts of bottles of alcoholic drinks while another is filled with cigarettes and cigars of various brands and qualities. In between the two cabinets lies a single desk, cluttered with pens and papers. Four leather chairs stand by the desk, two on each side to accommodate for multiple guests. "Please, make yourself comfortable," he urges Khyrop.

For the curious man, Derry had known how to pull him along as he wished although it would all likely benefit him in the very end. Without any hesitation, he would follow his companion into the building with his head on its usual swivel, ears tuning into the area around him while he used all of his finely tuned senses to build a fully accurate map of the surroundings as he moved through. It wasn't for any particular reason that he did this, no, it was just a habit ingrained into him since he had escaped the wreckage. It was all in an effort to learn as much as possible to think and come up with ideas to see where they would take him.
At the very least he came to the conclusion that the Dirty Snakes knew how to put together good interior design, putting together good looks with practicality. He would admire it all for a moment as it was easily clear that it was nicer than the place he would show the man eventually, although it fit for his purposes. However, it wasn't long before an object of clear interest would grab his attention once they got closer to the offices.
"Well, this is an interesting piece." He would comment to himself before turning to both the robot and his companion with attention as he considered the question that they both posed him no matter how simple it was. It would take a second but soon enough he'd come to a good enough answer. "Pleasant I'd say, this trip has been refreshingly surprising in a multitude of ways."
With the social matters handled for just that second Khyrop would float around the robot for a second, taking a good look at it as he considered what had to be used in its construction while also trying to figure out its specifics just from observation. While he might want to take it apart and see every single working element he also knew that it wouldn't likely go over very well. He had been considering working on building his own robots at points and would need to study up on as many active models to try and see what he could do and what hadn't been done.
This would last for what seemed like an eternity but at the same time not long enough as he soon felt the beckoning into the deeper office where they would be able to discuss business as they liked. This importance would pull him away as he flew over, but not without one last comment to the robot. "You are magnificent, I hope to learn more about you another time."
Inside the office, the Archduke took in all the observations and could soon tell that plenty of business and social aspects of his life had been handled in this very room. It made him think about how there could be more beneficial things in this relationship than either might've expected and it would be up to them in this very room to work that out. He would fly around the room like any wild bat might once trapped inside, however, he was nowhere as wild as he didn't make any noise just moving around until he decided to sit. He would pull out a chair and sit on the back of it, perched for a moment before getting onto the seat, still a bit in position to make sure his wings didn't get crushed.
"I think this will work, I don't think much would appreciate my proposal to put upside-down perches in every building." He said in a deadpan tone that might've made one think he was serious before a small smirk came to reveal his large fangs. "Although I'd love to hang upside down more often in some of these places, this is quite lovely"
With his joke out of the way he would get more comfortable as he wrapped his wings around himself and then leaned back letting himself into a good position before staring down at his partner. "So, where would you like to start?"

WC: 539 | TWC: 3,537 Out of pretty mcuh everything that Derry imagined would've caught Khyrop's attention here in HQ, he hadn't entirely anticipated that the floating orb would be especially noteworthy. Of course the boss imagines that the bat has been trying to keep a mental not on where everything is around here and taking in the rather lovely scenery, but of all things to be truly enraptured by, it's the spherical robot. Sure it was quite an impressive piece of technology, but to Derry is was little more than a servant, nothing more, and nothing less. Perhaps Khyrop fancies himself a technician, or at least someone who is rather interested in the realm of robotics and engineering. It's a path Derry absolutely refuses to take himself given the nightmare that is programming, but that's his own problem.
"Nice tech, ain't it?" Derry butts in for a bit before slowly opening the door, "Got a few tech guys downstairs that do all sorts of work on prototypes. This is the first one they got to float, and it's working out so far." The robot remains silent, to which the boss gives a light sigh and explains, "Not much of a talker, unfortunately. Gotta feed 'em more words and lines to get him going."
As Derry enters the room and makes his way over to the chair, he couldn't help but be a bit entertained at the fact that Khyrop was a rather curious customer when it came to, well, pretty much anything. The little guy's flying around his office and checking out whatever he can, and by the time Derry was able to take his seat behind the desk, the bat eventually flies back down and takes his own. He makes a potential suggestion of adding some bars around the place, though it's more of a jest than anything else unless Derry is more willing to take it seriously. He raises his brow before replying, "I'll... Have to check the budget on that one," Derry replies as he pulls up a few sheets of paper and a pen, scanning through the most recent documents that had been placed upon his desk. "Most I would do is one in my office, and It would need to be a bit high up. Wouldn't want to go bumping my head on such a thing after all."
He chuckles a bit before Khyrop asks where the two of them will begin, to which he would temporarily put the paper and pen down and explain, "Alright, I'm sure you're generally aware of the sort of business dealings we do around here in the Dirty Snakes. I gave you a bit of a short blurb beforehand, but we are quite versatile in our work. If it's illegal, we likely have men willing to do it. Of course, we also hire on for other jobs as well in case you're looking to make a quick buck yourself. Depending on what you desire, Khyrop, we can either provide service, or you could perhaps provide a service to us. Let us start there to be a bit more precise. Do you have the cash, or would you perhaps need some? Arrangements either way can most certainly be made."

Khyrop had started to look around the rooms again before he had heard what Derry was saying about putting one in the office, and he would lift an eyebrow as though he was incredibly impressed for a moment before returning to what he had been doing. Once they were settled inside the place of mention he would return his attention once again to try and be polite for the topic that was at hand. This was a business deal after all, and he had plans to operate in their territory for some time while on earth so he knew it would be good for them to have good relations. It would be easier for them all to make money that way. He flew up briefly before getting settled in the seat provided for him.
"Yes, I've got to say that my mind has been running with possibilities of how we might be able to benefit each other since you've told me, and even more since I've seen what you're capable of here." He leaned forward placing his winged hands on the table, the large bat steading himself so he could look him in the eye as he spoke due to his smaller form. "Luckily I already have some cash for use to get us started, as well as some proposals."
Even though he wasn't capable of reading minds Khyrop was indeed incredibly interested in tech, both as an interest and as a pursuit. Two parts of his three major components were a demonic scientist and an archduke, both having peculiarities that passed down onto him that made a situation like this irresistible. In his mind, this was like when an artist found a patron, or when an architect finds their contractors. However, in this case, it would be the curious experimenter using criminals to go after resources he desired through both legal and illegal means, whichever worked best for the situation. To this matter, he had even scouted out some possible targets and put them into dossiers for the sake of sharing the information
Along with these dossiers he had pulled out a few stacks of cash as proof of money, along with a signed check for about three times what he had brought with him. The bat gave a smug look to the man, he had learned as much as he could about this organization and had come prepared to deal with things as much as he could and prove his own reliability. With both he'd push them forward for Derry to take for his safe, as well as his own purview at his pleasure.
"As you will see from the information I've gathered here not only do I have opportunities to benefit us both, but chances to improve the strengths of both of our forces." He said as he fell back into his chair, letting his wings wrap around him as he relaxed and explained at the same time. "In there is intel on cutting edge tech that we could steal, reverse engineer, and use the better versions while selling the standard versions on the black market."
"This is just a taste of some things I can bring to this partnership, I'm rather good at gathering information and creating opportunities." He stated confidently before quieting down so he could let Derry read, write, and ask any questions as well as make comments.

WC: 509 | TWC: 5,046 It seems like Khyrop has come rather prepared for this meeting, what with him already possessing some cash to get things rolling for his future business relations with Derrick. Admittedly many of his own business partners attempt to slow things a bit for when it comes to hiring the Dirty Snakes for all sorts of jobs, whether it be because they don't trust him and his boys to do the job correctly and confidently or, more likely, they don't have any big cash on them. Time and time again, he's had to deal with all sorts of customers that wanna cause a ruckus with the Snakes, and every time it's happened, it's only ended up with them crossing the gang and subsequently having every single penny they own stolen. Needless to say, Derrick appreciates dealing with someone who's prepared a decent proposal and can back it up with funds.
The boss takes a look over at the money and check that Khyrop was able to provide, making sure to only take one at a time instead of scooping it all up. He's not sure how much the bat has dealt with crime lords before, but some of them can get rather... possessive with newly placed cash on their desk. The check was the most interesting of the bunch as it contained an amount that was about triple the amount that can be found in the piles of cash that Khyrop had provided, though Derry didn't wonder how the guy got a hold of all of that zeni. After all, he's probably got his own work, and given the guy's own connections, it's not farfetched that it's all legitimate.
"Certainly looks legitimate," Derry replies as he starts pulling everything closer towards his end of the table, "Forgive me for having to check. Got a lotta bad apples I gotta deal with, and if I wanna make sure I don't go bankrupt without me noticing, I need to take a closer look at what's being brought forth. It's all good right here, though..." Khyrop then mentions bringing forth some intel on some new and upcoming tech that they can steal and figure out how to make the most out of themselves, whether it be selling it elsewhere or using it for their own purposes. Weapons are something that the boss himself is very much invested in considering how he has the numbers available but lacks the firepower to make his goons usable.
"Always lovely to have some more information on our hands," Derry comments as he looks through some documents, "Of course this might take a bit of time to plan out. The Dirty Snakes prefer their jobs to be as clean as efficient as possible, leaving little to no room for error when the time comes. It'll all be worth it, though, and we will always appreciate more information regarding each job. With some of these, though, they're definitely a real easy hit n' run, so those won't take much effort. In time they'll be done."
