Another day, another monotonous period of time Liari was chasing ghosts! Energy-ghosts, to be precise, the signatures of people that JUST KEPT slipping out of her grasp! Every time she THOUGHT she got close, it just... ZIPPED away, like a hallway that just kept getting longer the further you walked down it! She couldn't BELIVE this was how it worked! After all, she saw OTHER people flying and they flew like they knew where they were going, unlike her who was making esoteric patterns in the air with how many times she'd changed direction!
"I hate you..." She growled, SLAMMING down into a verdant, green plane! The impact uprooted trees, tore up grass, FLATTENED the ground for meters around, as if the mere step of the majin could create wastelands! "I wanna see... you run away..." Her upper lip trembled with fury as she matched through the brush crushing everything smaller than her underfoot and breaking through everything larger that was in her way! A Majin's curiousity, while starting out sweet, will quickly turn bitter when it wasn't satisfied... and with how evasive this signature was being... she wasn't satisfied.
"Stupid... STAY STILL!"
Eventually, Liari would come to a spring, beautiful to those whose eyes could appreciate it... boring to a majin's that couldn't! She was just about to set off back where she had come... only for the power she'd been chasing... disappeared! She blinked, then her eyes narrowed, Liari's head turning up towards the sky as she scanned and scanned. A trace... that's all she would need. Just a general direction...
...Nothing. It was gone.
"HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH!?" Liari CRIED, steam BLOWING out of the holes along her arms in boiling clouds... before Liari fell on her back in exasperation! She let out a loud GROAN of frustration as she covered her face with her hands. How could they just disappear like that...? And she was so close...
"Stupid..." She groaned again, raising her fist up and SMASHING the ground beside her into little fragments! "...Stupid! Hate this stupid place!"

Perhaps going to the wasteland alone wasn't a good idea... This place was looking quite unfriendly and gave the feeling of a desolate land abandoned by any souls capable of leaving. Well, it wasn't completely empty, scarce animals roamed the place, and some stubborn plants were refusing to give up, growing here and there. Ayu was trying to look for Callion, for the promised training session, and yet his energy signature wasn't around - the tall Saiyan might have been simply busy elsewhere with whatever business he had on Earth. The young woman sighed, looking down at the wicker basket she brought along. She was here for an hour, should she wait some more or call it a day and go home? The content of her baggage was presented as follows - lunch, beverage, first aid kit, some of her notes, and a towel and change of clothing. Ayu never did serious physical training and wasn't even sure that would happen if the aim was to train her ability... She really knew too little. Maybe she should go home at this point?
Well, anyway, she still couldn't find anyone. Or so she thought - while walking around Ayu heard a voice angrily crying out loud to the world. It sounded... Like someone was in great pain. The groan and the scream were underlined with something that made a shiver run down her spine. Ayu couldn't help but feel worried. There was a certain signature, right from where those distressing noises came... The sound of the ground being beaten helped Ayu find the right spot - even without it would be easy to see. She quietly walked out from behind a boulder to see a surprising scene. There was a blue humanoid creature with a form similar to a female, laying on the ground and yellowish grass. Was it an alien of some kind? Ayu wasn't knowledgeable enough to tell, but the hue of this energy told her enough. Putting the basket away, she walked toward the blue stranger and stopped feet away from them, leaning a bit to have a better view.
"E-Excuse me..." Ayu asked softly, her gaze concerned. The alien didn't seem to be in pain, though the grimace was saying otherwise. Only now did the young woman realize, that the alien here had a smaller than her frame and petite body with peculiar skin. The deep blue color reflected light like a very smooth surface, and the Ki the blue stranger emitted was very... Honest and vivid. Ayu tucked in her clothing and crouched down near the alien. "Are you alright?" she added with a warm voice after a moment and smiled just a little bit shy. Talking to strangers wasn't an easy thing for her, but somehow she wasn't as anxious as normally. "I like your color, it's a very pretty blue."

Liari was so deep in her brooding, she didn't notice the CATACLYSMIC POWER approaching her from the side, a VAST energy... contained in a very cute and very green package! The little blue girl stared up at the sky, frustrated tears building up in the corners of her eyes, the majin's fist slowly raising again to SMASH the ground... before a very soft and almost nervous voice reached her! Liari's head suddenly tilted to the side, catching sight of a girl with a basket in hand, her hair and skin as green and soft as the wasteland grass! If her appearance wasn't surprising enough, the POWER she exuded, while... quiet, contained, was like a small pool that went down for MILES, never at threat of consuming someone... but still a VAST source nonetheless! It... was almost frightening what the majin was feeling, a soft tremble of reflexive anxiety flashing through her body... but the woman made no threatening moves. If anything, she approached Liari with anxiousness in her step, a very gentle smile on her lips!
...A smile that reminded Liari of something.... Someone....? It soothed her... and made her chest hurt at the same time...
"I..." Liari mumbled, a confused look flashing across her face... How DID she feel...? A cocktail of emotions from excitement (from meeting a new power) to anxiousness (of how powerful it was) to warmth (from the smile and demeanor of the woman) all swirled around inside! Slowly, she sat up as the green woman sat down beside her, Liari looking up at her curiously.
"I... okay..." She decided slowly, then blushed softly as Ayu complimented her skin! The blush only burned hotter as she held her hand up to her face, observing her skin-tone for herself! She... never really thought of it as something to be admired... complimented over! It was just... what she looked like...
"I... pretty...?" She asked, her cheeks now fully blushed a dark shade of purple! "Really...? Really-really...?"
She then looked at the stranger more closely... and smiled, gently reaching out and taking her face in her hands!
"You pretty too! I like you green lots!" The majin would then pull her hands back, only to take Ayu's, giving them a gentle squeeze of friendship! "I Liari! You very pretty!"

Never have Ayu suspected that few words would create such a reaction and simple delight in someone's eyes. The blue person, now closer for her to see, beamed with inner joy that painted cheeks with a dark hue of purple. It was quite a unique, but equally charming face with silverish eyes sparkling with genuine glee. Tentacle-like hair moved a little on its own - or maybe it was her imagination - and so close the whole body of a tiny stranger appeared to be made of something like an organic rubber. That was very intriguing, but there were many shapes and looks of creatures all around the universe... The young woman was sitting next to the alien, and from the bright pitch and the form of her body, she realized she indeed was talking with a girl. Though everything else was a bit vague right now - just one thing was clear. That signature, clear like crystal and full of many mixed emotions, but so sincere and transparent... She could already tell that the little blue girl was wearing emotions on her sleeve and wasn't familiar with the concept of lying - even to herself.
"Yes, really-really," she assured her softly. That reaction was adorable but before Ayu could add anything, a pair of blue, small hands were delicately placed on her cheeks. She blinked slowly, surprised. Now it was green's turn to feel an abashed flush of dark pink on her face, and her expression softened with emotions. It just... It felt nice. The young woman wasn't a frequent recipient of closeness or affection - she didn't want to be swayed by this simple gesture, but it was so genuine... So straightforward that she couldn't help but smile back warmly, with just a hint of melancholy. And the compliment got to her too. "T-thank you..." Ayu tried to mask the fact that she felt so touched with a small chuckle. Her eyes lit up with affection when she looked at the character sitting next to her and holding her hands with such care. "My name is Ayu, it's nice to meet you." Her fingers carefully held back the soft grip of a new, dare she say, friend?
She wasn't as anxious as before. In fact, the uneasiness Ayu felt melted away like an ice cube in the middle of the summer. The stranger was, by all means, powerful and influenced by her emotions, but was giving off this sincere feeling. Maybe it was Liari's behavior or her way of speaking, but the simplicity reminded her a bit of Cress - in that child-like wonder and quick change of mood. She felt comfortable enough with that. After all, Ayu was good at interacting with children... Perhaps Liari was a child of some unknown race? Let's say Ayu had to stop herself from patting her head at this point...
But any questions would have to wait a bit. There was a much more pressing matter to take care of.
"I'm glad you're okay Liari," Ayu still remembered grimace and tears gathering in the corners of the girl's eyes as she approached her a moment ago. She gently squeezed her hand back. But how to ask her..? A concerned expression raised her brows and with a bit of hesitation, Ayu raised her worried gaze at the blue-skinned alien. "I h-heard you cry out before and I was a little scared that you were hurt." It wasn't exactly easy to be so direct. Yet, she was sitting next to someone she just met, holding her hands like they were dear friends and talking like they have known each other for years - even if they only now exchanged their names. Sometimes the world was a strange place, indeed. "You're not hurt, are you..?" she tilted her head a bit, and a small, green braid fell on her shoulder.
To be fair, she looked fine - there were no marks of fighting or blood on her body. It's just... Being hurt wasn't only limited to physical injuries.

"It nice to meet you too!" Liari exclaimed happily, grinning with all the sunshine in the world! Ever since she woke up on this world, Liari hadn't exactly been greeted kindly! From being shot at by random humans to other fighters treating her as dumb or a nuisance, the majin's first few days on planet Earth were filled with fighting and fighting... and not much else! Someone like Ayu, as she introduced herself, who walked up to her in her time of need and gave her attention... To Liari, it was so easy to get attached. Already, she could feel that soft, aching throb in her breast begin to dull, the two girls smiling at one another, sharing a moment of calm warmth together!
"You have pretty name too!" Liari grinned... but that grin would fall away as Ayu's expression fell. The warm, cuddly mood of this moment they shared would suddenly take a more serious dip, her expression... contorting into a grimace! Liari's eyes widened in both anxiousness and confusion, immediately thinking that she had done something wrong! It was ALWAYS her fault when people who were happy were sad! Or at least... that's what she was told...
Wait...
Liari paused... a sharp twinge of pain arching through her brain!
This is your fault! It's always your fault!
A voice declared in her ear. The intensity and tone implied a yell but it was so soft... as if she was being shouted at a mile away! The majin winced, nearly pulling her hands from Ayu's to clutch her head, her silver eyes flashing a deep sanguine for a moment... before fading back to their normal silver.
What was that...? Liari wondered to herself, shaking the pain from her mind! A dream...? Something she remembered from before she landed? Maybe...
"H-huh...?" Liari asked, looking up as Ayu posed her own question! AND there went her train of thought! Gone like the seeds of a dandelion being pulled off in the wind!
"Oh... No, I okay! I serious!" Liari stated, a confident, assuring smile flashing across her lips! "Just... mad... I find BIG power before! Feel it good... Then it disappear somewhere and I no find it! Wanted to fight it..." She frowned again, pouting as she puffed her cheeks in frustration... but then, that too would fade as she flashed Ayu another warm grin!
"...But I find you instead! I like you more!" The majin leaned towards Ayu a bit, gently scooching towards her so that she might sit in her lap! Liari might've not been the brightest knife in the crayon drawer, but she was... empathic to a degree. She could feel Ayu's emotions, read them on her face. She was a soft, gentle soul, someone that could put people at ease just by talking with... and holding their hands. If Ayu allowed her, Liari would sit herself down on her lap and pull the green-woman's arms around herself, resting her head under her chin! Cuddles for both herself... and for Ayu.

Liari was a curious being. Never had Ayu met someone so enthusiastic about everything... She was like a child, a very powerful and impulsive child following her whims. That didn't mean she appeared to be a vile person, no. Liari was a creature made of pure emotions - she felt them strongly, and she expressed them with the same intensity. It was a little funny, to be honest... Ayu was aware that her emotions were like an open book, and she was always abashed by the fact that she couldn't keep her cool, tearing up or blushing in the least favorable moments. This little blue pea was channeling everything she felt with the same degree, not ashamed of anything that was going on in her heart. In a way, truly, it was inspiring. Maybe she should learn a thing or two from her..? Ayu tended to hide her feelings, not trying to bother anyone with them. But she was bad at it, so in the end, she would feel all the consequences backfiring at her. Why she did do it, even if there was no one around to be actually bothered by her emotions, was still a mystery.
As she enjoyed the view of a happy grin, another prickling feeling of worry appeared out of blue. Liari's expression darkened, bewildered, and restless, but Ayu couldn't ask why. The girl first froze, then shook her head, her face wearing that distant look like her thoughts were focused on something on a different plane of existence.
"H-hey..." Ayu raised her hand, the other one gently, but firmly holding to Liari's wrist. She was ready to get up and do something, but the shift in the girl's mood as quickly appeared, as fast it was gone. An impression of shock lingered for a second in her yellow eyes, before she slowly put her arm down. Just, what happened that made Liari jump in place with such pain flickering in her gaze? Whatever it was, she seemed to have already moved past it, either forgetting about it or deeming it no longer important. Well... Seemed that this approach was going to be something worth getting used to in her presence - otherwise, people would get only perplexed. Ayu was too, simply worried, but Liari forget about this tiny scene that she played in front of her. Maybe that was for the better... She'd bring it up, eventually.
Wanting a fight? Liari was more similar to the Saiyans than the little comparison to Cress. Ayu chuckled and rubbed her cheek thoughtfully. Hm...
"Oh, I understand," she only nodded with seriousness when the blue girl started explaining her reasons for the first outburst that Ayu felt in the area. For someone that emotional, a missed fight was reasonable enough for that reaction. She wasn't going to diminish Liari's emotions in any way, that would just... Be awful. But the energy she was talking about, perhaps - "Maybe that was Callion? He's a very strong Saiyan, he told me that he wanders this area here." Ayu vaguely gestured around, referring to the wastelands. This thought popped into her mind. They were supposed to meet, but they never set any concrete date, so she might have just missed him. And not only she. Well, that is what happens when Ayu's indecisive - should have yelled the date or something like that. "Perhaps he had some business elsewhere. Don't worry, I'm sure you can ask for a sparring match next time you see him," she assured her.
She was convinced that Callion wouldn't refuse an opportunity to train - and who knows, maybe they could try it in a group of three..? Ayu wasn't exactly set on that idea, but everything could help in learning more about her powers.
After the last sentence, she didn't answer Liari with words. Instead, another rose blush made its way to Ayu's face, a bit troubled with all that abashment but with lips softly curled into a cordial smile. Maybe she took it as an invitation, but again, personal space was... Completely forgotten. She never had anyone sitting so close! A-And touching like that! The initial reaction was - Ayu froze. Literally. Liari raised herself a bit from the ground, aiming her back at her. Lifting her arms awkwardly in a tiny fit of silent panic, Ayu watched as the little girl sat comfortably on her tights. She indeed was a child, nesting her side on her chest, pulling Ayu's just-a-little-bit-stiff arms closer.
"Hey, L-Liari..." Ayu wanted to say something in a small, very soft voice, but she couldn't finish. First, the awkwardness of the touch was fading away, and she started to enjoy the closeness. Slowly, and with a bit of hesitation, her arms embraced the little girl, pulling her closer. A knot in her heart got only tighter, but it wasn't a bad feeling. Rather, so bittersweet. With a warm sigh, Ayu hugged her cheek to the tip of the blue head. The rest of her uncertainty started to disappear. It was nice to hug someone and be hugged back... Ayu didn't even realize when her hand started stroking Liari's head and when she closed her eyes. The young woman was afraid that if she'd opened them now, moved tears would gather in the corners of her eyelids, betraying her emotions. Because albeit still calm and soft with her thought, Ayu felts this melancholy of finally, finally having a bit of tenderness in her lonely life. Even if it was for a while.
"Do you have siblings Liari..?" Ayu asked quietly.

"Cal..ee...on...?" Liari repeated as Ayu suggested a name for this power "...Okay... Maybe I check later... Too comfortable now..." The little blue girl snuggled comfortably into Ayu as she green-skinned woman embraced her, the majin letting out a soft sigh of contentment as her head was met with the tender strokes of her holder's hand! The warmth of her skin, the gentleness of her touch... and that fearsome power lurking just below the surface... It all made Liari feel so safe. If she took a nap right here and never woke up, she would almost feel invulnerable, untouchable in the arms of this girl, someone she could trust to cradle and protect her...
"Mmh... so warm..." She sighed, nuzzling against her chest! The majin could feel sleep pulling at the edges of her mind, comfort setting in REALLY quick. However, before the world of dreams could firmly tighten its grasp upon her, the majin Ayu would ask a question: If she had any siblings...
"Mmmmh...?" She grumbled, her eyes flicking up to look at Ayu! "A sib-ling... I...NGH!" Liari's body tensed sharply, her hand shooting up to her head as a harp, stabbing ripple SHOT through her mind! The image... of another majin... that looked almost exactly like her, a red scarf around her neck with a different, more elaborate breastplate! This stranger stared at Liari with an expression of abject ANGER and OUTRAGE, her hand having GRABBED HOLD of the collar of Liari's breastplate so that they were face-to-face! Liari gasped, a twinge of fear freezing into her chest, the little blue majin trembling in Ayu's arms as if she were sitting in a freezer!
This is your fault! It's always your fault! The figure screamed!
"NO!" Liari cried out, arms and legs flailing, falling right off of Ayu's lap! As she looked up at the green-girl in fear, the majin's eyes glowed a deep, burning red, her body covered in an anxious sheen of sweat! The vision had faded... but now Liari was afraid! She had thought that this was some dream, something that had come and gone, never to be seen again!
...It only came back stronger this time!
"It hurt...!" She whined weakly, clutching at her head as a jagged vein of agony arched across her forehead! Liari fell on her side and curled into a ball, rocking on her side as if that would somehow dull the pain! "I not do anything... Leave me alone...!"
Liari could still feel that other... her's hands at her throat, her voice RINGING in her ears! Even though the image was gone, that voice wouldn't leave her ears, the glare of those silver eyes still visible inside her clenched-shut eyelids! The worst part of it all was... she somehow knew who that was! It wasn't like she had a name or even recognized that majin but... somehow, in that aching part of her heart... she knew that person! But WHO was it!? AND WHY WAS SHE IN HER HEAD!?
"I sorry...!" She mumbled, her head's throbbing ache pounding harder, FASTER. "I not do anything... I sorry!"

It was a nice moment. One that Ayu would come back to with a small smile, thinking about how surreal and tender it was. Maybe by a cold realism and more careful reasoning, she trusted her too early and too easily to let Liari into her personal space... But she wasn't regretting it. Her crystal-clear energy was enough to prove that there was no hostility or hidden agendas and to be honest, Ayu with her shyness around people wouldn't be able to come into contact with someone so seamlessly. Liari just took the lead, giving her a little push, and with her genuine intention and child-like manner, well... When a child sits on your lap and demands cuddles, one simply cannot refuse. Ayu wasn't as much as playing along, she accepted that and albeit a little surprised herself, pulled Liari into a warm embrace. Closeness and the sensation of holding someone were nice... The thing that scared her, was the prickling feeling hiding under all that warmth. Was Ayu so longing for company, that a simple gesture and a short hug were enough to make her feel moved? That was a little frightening.
Everything pointed towards this being a very calm day with a casual chat and some more bonding. Until Ayu said one word too many causing a reaction... The shift in the atmosphere was too strong and too scary to shrug off as a mood swing. No, Liari responded in a way that left little to wonder about how severe it was. Her cry pierced Ayu's ears. Shivers and panic painted on her face weren't something possible to fake. She struggled like she was trying to get away from something but was unable to do so, but that was just a simple question... The young woman was still sitting, with eyes wide open, for a split second trying to comprehend what just happened.
Wh-What has she done..?
Obviously something terrible.
"Shh..." Ayu immediately scooped the trembling girl from the ground, pulling her closer with her blue head against her chest. She closed her in the embrace, even if Liari was wriggling against it, fighting with her inner demons and gasping for air. With her eyes shut, Ayu made her grip firmer, but she didn't use any strength out of fear that she could have hurt her... But she couldn't let her hurt herself while Liari wasn't responding to anything, could she? "It's alright, it's alright..." she tried soothing her with a gentle voice, cradling her close in a tender embrace. "You're a good girl, it's alright Liari." A strong sense of guilt washed over her. Was Ayu, unintentionally a source of this reaction? Did the question... No, even before that there was a moment when the girl was confused, even scared. Just why? A tight knot wrapped around her heart at the thought that she had hurt someone so much, and wasn't even aware of that. "I'm s-sorry if I made you upset..." her voice cracked and the teardrops appeared in the corners of Ayu's closed eyes. That was the one thing that she couldn't stand, being so ignorant to cause harm to others. It just... Twisted her stomach with regret and anxiety.
Maybe the only thing she could do was to hold her until the panic fit fades away, but she didn't want to wait. This reaction left Ayu as equally startled as Liari, but there has to be something, anything to do... Right! After her focus shifted so quickly to something else, Liari easily forgot about the little fit of negative feelings that flashed through her head... It happened before, and Ayu saw it. This time it was more serious. More extreme. She wasn't even sure she could hear her, and panic was slowly increasing her heartbeat. She wanted to try creating a distraction for the poor girl, who was fighting against her own thoughts. Ki suddenly was swirling in fear and pain, causing her a great amount of distress and it was like Liari's mind was pulled away from reality. Something obstructed her senses, and Ayu, the area here, and even the solid ground disappeared covered by the source of the girl's fierce outburst of emotions. It won't hurt to try...
"I met a little girl named Cress some time ago," Ayu started her tale softly, cradling her blue head in her arms and stroking Liari's, still trembling, back. "I-I'm sure you'd like her too. She likes being strong and she's a Saiyan, so perhaps she'd be a nice sparing partner for you? It is said that they are good fighters," the young woman's voice was lowered to a warm whisper, but the genuine concern was plainly heard in each word. With a gentle motion, she lowered her head a bit, looking at the pained grimace. Ayu was able to treat wounds and make medicines for the injured body, but what about the mind and soul..? How could she even begin to think about the way of healing the harm that would leave scars on the heart?
"We talked. She wanted me to be her older sister, even if we don't look alike at all..." It wasn't exactly how that conversation went, but she didn't lie. The fact that Cress warned Ayu not to try being her mother wasn't something that would help in this situation. Clearly, the little Saiyaness had someone in mind for her father, and when Ayu playfully suggested being her sister to calm down Cress's suspicion, she was met with intense enthusiasm. She started to enjoy that though too, even if so far she hasn't seen this spirited little girl. Taking care of others came naturally to Ayu, and just maybe, that was a role for her? Gently rocking Liari in her arms, she continued her tale. "You reminded me of her, so I wanted to ask if you'd like to be my sibling too." Right. That's why she asked, but instead of being direct, she wanted to get to know her a little better - it was a poor choice of words that created this situation or an unknown cause? Ayu was petting the blue head, as she sighed. "I'm sorry if that wasn't... A g-good thing to ask."

The majin felt so alone, afraid as the voice screamed in her head, her ears and head throbbing so much, they might've just exploded! It was as if she had been trapped in the tiniest room, a ball no bigger than a few feet, crushed in and losing herself to the noise, the voice! She might've laid there for hours, perhaps even a full day had it not been for the tender care of Ayu, someone who probably had every reason to leave the majin to her fate, taking her into her arms instead! It was her gentle touch, her soft voice, her sympathy that slowly pulled Liari out of her agonized trance, the Majin's trembling steadily relaxing, the voice... fading into silence, the pain... dulling into irrelevence. The majin's eyes opened to their natural silver, looking up at Ayu cradling her in her arms, her eyes watering up even more with tears rolling down her cheeks! Ayu was now in pain, she could read it on her face... Pain that Liari caused and yet... she was holding her, hugging her, cradling the little blue girl in her arms as if she were her own! Soft whimpers of regret escaped Liari's lips as she turned into Ayu, wrapping her arms and legsaround her body and hugging her close...
She didn't want to ever let her go... to ever leave this warm, safe embrace... For the first time since she fell to Earth, Liari felt safe... perhaps even loved and that was a feeling she didn't want to end! The majin's chest-ache slowly faded into a soft, tender warmth, Liari only hugging Ayu tighter as she apologized for upsetting her. The little blue girl wanted to soothe her too, confirm that it wasn't her fault, apologize for scaring her... but she just couldn't find the words! All she could do was cling to Ayu, nuzzle into her and show what she felt: that the last thing she ever wanted was for her to be let go!
Liari's whimpers slowly died into soft, rhythmic breathing as her hair-tentacles were gently stroked, the majin's desperate clinging softening into a mere needy hold. Like a mother-figure telling her a story, Ayu told her of another girl, a sayain by the name of Cress, offering to introduce her as a fighting-partner! A small, weak smile tiptoed across Liari's face at the promise, the majin turning her head up to look at Ayu, showing her she... she was better now... Maybe even... a little excited...?
"Okay..." She mumbled... before nuzzling back into Ayu.
The story continued with Cress wanting to be something like a sister to Ayu despite how different they must look. It was then that she decided to extend the same invitation to Liari!
"Sister....?" She said softly, looking up at Ayu again... before reaching up and wrapping her arms around Ayu's neck, pulling her into an even bigger hug! "I wanna... You my sister now! You nice... You warm... You hug and you no have too... I wanna..." Liari... knew what this meant... a little... Sister... closer than friends... love them, more than like. Even when you were mad... ANGRY with them... you still loved them... Ayu spent her time with her, held her, cared for her... She didn't have to... Liari didn't ask her too...
"You my sister now." Liari confirmed, a spark of genuine warm and fuzzy happiness in her voice! "I happy-happy..."

The size of the worry that fell from Ayu's heart was only proportionally large to the relief she felt when Liari started calming down. It worked - the pained expression melted into a look of concern and guilt... That wasn't what Ayu wanted to witness but was still better than seeing her in pain. Softly stroking the girl's head, she pondered, just a little bit about something. They were similar. Somehow. Both Liari and Ayu felt emotions strongly to their core, but while Ayu was calmly processing them inside, even if it hurt, the blue girl was expressing them with everything she got - with her body, expression, voice, and gestures. Ayu softened her grasp when it was clear that the trembling faded away. Whimpering stopped and the uncontrolled shivers turned into a firm and distressed embrace. It was Liari who hold onto her like a koala bear, wrapping both her arms and legs around her, her face hidden between Ayus' neck and shoulder. Ayu chuckled silently with affection and melancholy, feeling her heart growing. Just what was going on in this blue head of hers to make her experience a maelstrom of emotions like that?
She held her until Liari was better. Greenish hands wrapped gently around her, rocking them both as if in an attempt of soothing a crying child. A warm hug, a friendly presence, and a small weight pressed against her chest felt so reassuring. Maybe it was soothing the need for companionship or Ayu was simply content with seeing Liari getting back to her honest self, but she was glad she met the little blue... The Little Bluebell. When the blue head carefully peeked up at her, maybe even shyly, Ayu gave her a little, amiable smile with tears shining in the corner of her eyes. She was relieved that her new friend calmed down, but was so still concerned about this outburst of pain she didn't understand. That startled her... But often it wasn't about understanding, only about being there - and right now her presence was all she could offer. Maybe, just maybe that would be enough.
"I'm glad," Ayu stroked her back, relieved to hear a quiet mumble. It felt just a tiny bit surreal to hold an alien on her lap, but she was now convinced that Liari was a child. Or at least a being with a mind as simple, curious, and easily influenced as a little kid... Which could lead to things getting out of hand if someone were to use it against her. And that didn't feel right. The wave of fuzzy warmth flushed over her face and heart when Liari, well, not agreed to the sisterhood, but accepted it so naturally. Seems that her life won't be boring from now on! "Right! That makes us sisters," Ayu smiled at Liari and caressed her cheek. "You look so nice when you smile, you know?" Her whole presence was nice, with vivid blue color, smooth rubbery skin, and energetic presence. Just who she was? The school didn't help broaden students' knowledge about alien races, aside from some minor information and stereotypes. Ayu didn't think she ever heard about someone like Liari... But there will be time for questions. One at the time - there's no telling how would she react and Ayu would hate to see her wriggle in pain and confusion again.
For now, better take things slow... As happy as she was to acquire someone she could call her little sister, a lot of things came along with this promise. First... She needed to get to know Liari better. Maybe then she'd understood her reactions or what was going inside her head - though Ayu already was feeling like she could predict her actions.
"Now. If we're sisters then we should know more about each other, right..?" her arms wrapped around Liari and Ayu softly placed her on the ground next to her, so she could stand up and dust her clothing. Of course, she didn't get irritated at her in any way! Ayu picked up the basket left on the side and tucking her legs under her, placed herself comfortably next to Bluebell. Inside this wicker bag, lots of things were hidden. The young woman unpacked a big bottle of lemonade and two portable cups, with a box full of sandwiches, some apple tarts, and a handful of berries straight from her garden. "The best way to have a chat with someone is over something delicious to eat. Here, help yourself," pouring Liari some lemonade, she gestured toward the little blanket on the ground and the containers she prepared there. Having in mind Saiyan's appetite, the amount of food should more than suffice for two people... Right?

Liari blushed heavily as Ayu took her face gently in hand, remarking how much nicer it was when she smiled! A nice deep blue flashe across the majin's face, the little blue girl squirming lightly in Ayu's lap!
"Really...?" She questioned, a small, nervous grin on her face! "Maybe I smile more..." And like that, a big sunny smile was born across the deep blue face of the majin... at least, before it was hidden in Ayu's chest as she nuzzled her face into it again! Liari had been alone since she had come to this world... Alone and afraid with a BIG empty hole where... something used to be. It hurt every time she saw others together, having fun, acting like friends... It was something she didn't have... Something she wanted.
Desperately.
...And now here she was, Ayu cradling her in her arms, hand rolling across her back like they had always been together... The majin felt that hole in her chest close a little more every second she was in Ayu's arms, that... NEED for attention satiated. Ayu wasn't made to do it... Liari didn't beat her in a fight or win a bet... It still amazed her that all it took... was just being here in her time of need for Ayu to spring into action. So much kindness, so much care... Liari loved it all. This was what she was missing, what she NEEDEED when she went out. Fighting was fun, yeah but... when that feeling went away, the adrenaline and the exertion... all that was left was that loneliness.
Not anymore. Liari had someone to love now.
Ayu suggested that maybe they should get to know each other, being sisters, and Liari nodded her head at that! Pulling away from Ayu just a bit so that they sat across from one another, the majin would smile at her newly acquired sibling, wanting to look as good as possible for her!
"Okay! I Liari... but I told you that already... I... not know where I from... No remember... Just... wake up here weeks ago... Live in caves when can find them..." Her expression fell somewhat, remembering the cold, dark nights alone, others she spent sleeplessly trying to find people! After all, it was so much easier to go flying then try to sleep alone. "B-but I like fighting people too! Its of fun! I get stronger too! Stronger than I was when I woke up! WAY stronger!" Liari threw her arms wide as if to DEMONSTRATE how much larger before letting out a little giggle! "I-"
...But then, Ayu started doing something! She set down her basket and began unpacking it, stating that the BEST way to talk things over was, in fact, over a good meal! She handed Liari a plastic cup of... something, which the majin graciously took with both hands! She looked at it curiously... sniffing the cup's contents... before downing it all in one gulp! Instantly, Liari's eyes widened as her mouth puckered and her eyes teared up, the little blue girl swallowing with a choking gasp!
"IT SOUR!" She cried... before smacking her lips... and smiling again! "I like! It taste good!" Before she knew it, both Ayu and Liari were surrounded with all kinds of food, the many smells making Liari's mouth water! Her silver eyes flicked from dish to dish... before finally settling on Ayu.
"Thank you..." She mumbled, looking down and blushing. "Nobody ever feed me before... It... It nice... But... But what 'bout you? Tell me about self!"

The smile on the blue face was very pretty - so innocent and genuine. Liari beamed with something shining from within, and Ayu suspected that perhaps it was a bit of care and attention she showed her. Sometimes a little bit of kindness was enough to make the difference... But she noticed that the bright grin was still there. Wide and sunny, which was undeniably cute, but made her think about another aspect of what she just said. After all, words have as much meaning as one's gives them. She leaned a bit towards Liari.
"It's okay if you don't feel like smiling, or you want to smile just a little," the green-haired woman explained. What if Liari feels forced to grin all the time? Ayu really needs to be more careful with phrasing and with what she tells her. If someone is as easily influenced as a child... Liari liked her and it was obvious that she could do many things to keep Ayu's affection. It was so familiar it hurt. The young woman tried to do the same with Zhang when she was little - but the case with her grandfather quickly turned into the awareness that whatever she does, he won't show any care. Being obedient and never causing trouble didn't make him notice her, so... She won't allow the same thing to go through her little sister's head. After all, Liari shouldn't be limited by anything like that, expressing whatever she wanted. "You don't have to smile all the time or when you feel sad or you're angry, alright..?", she lectured her with a gentle voice, petting her head. "You have a pretty smile, but it's okay to cry when we're unhappy or grumble when you're mad. What you feel is important."
Saying that wasn't equal to assurance that Liari understood her, but that was okay. She'd be here to tell it to her again, as much as it will be needed... As she listened to Liari's tale, Ayu couldn't help but realize the growing similarity between them. Was it fate's scheme or it was just an unexpected chance from luck? Ayu didn't remember anything about her past too. The family accident that claimed the lives of her relatives and spared her wasn't something that stayed in her memory. Nor the faces or voices of people that she loved, it felt so... Bad. She couldn't miss those she didn't remember but still yearned for them, if not for their company, then for some recollection. There wasn't a single photo to look at or a name to recall, leaving a sense of emptiness growing behind her. She woke up in her room, with Zhang and aunt Williams nearby, and that was it - explanation followed and a seven-year-old child didn't understand what has happened. A family that perished, a man that adopted her but in the end was too focused on his work to pay attention to his granddaughter...
If there was one constant in her life, it's the fact that some things wouldn't change. For better or for worse. Zhang would always be busy and Ayu will feel better in the company of her plants.
... But maybe, just maybe, a little Bluebell's presence was welcomed now, bringing more reasons to smile and scaring away the sense of loneliness. Ayu clapped and smiled while listening to Liari, praising her growth. Seems that Earth was now full of individuals interested in power levels and fighting abilities, right? To know more about her, they needed to talk. And that's what her basket was for! After placing the snacks in front of them Ayu started having second thoughts. How would she react to food or a sweet-sour drink? It won't harm Liari? She didn't know her biology after all nor if anything harmless to her could be toxic to a small blue alien... Luckily, she liked it and nothing seemed out of place. That was a relief.
"That's good. Drink as much as you'd like," Ayu placed the open bottle in the basket, picking a shapely strawberry from the box and eating the sweet fruit. Seeing Liari's shining eyes gazing at every container, she chuckled, moving closer to her the one with apple tarts and berries. Her confession about never eating food that someone shared with her made Ayu frown a little with worry, but again, she smiled. Picking an apple tart with crumbling shortcake later and fruits on top sticky from the sweet syrup, she arranged it nicely on a paper tissue and then placed it in a blue hand. "You know, I live nearby." As much as she would love to invite Liari for longer, Ayu still was under Zhang's roof. Maybe if she would have some house on her own... And on the other hand, Liari seemed like a wild spirit traveling around the whole world, free and untamed. "I don't really like fighting, but if you'd be looking for a break after sparring with someone or you'd get hurt or be hungry again, visit me," Ayu offered. Maybe she wasn't a warrior, but she would do everything in her power to help someone in need.
"Me? W-well..." now when the table shifted, she felt a rose blush burning on her cheeks. With her fingers playing shyly with the small braid, Ayu wondered what she could tell Liari. Wasn't she a little boring..? No friends, no idea what to do with her future, and no entertaining qualities. "My name is Ayu Yibai. I like plants, tea, and gardening, oh, and drawing too," she counted on her fingers as she spoke, and when her voice calmed a little she found it easier to have this chat with Bluebell. "I can make plants grow and make medicine using some of them... Medicine is something that makes the pain go away if you're hurt or sick." The young woman added an explanation to clarify the meaning of this difficult word. "Other than that... I'm n-not sure. What would you like to know?"

"But I wanna!" Liari exclaimed! Ayu attempted to backpedal, or perhaps clarify, her previous statement about the Majin's smile, stating that she shouldn't force it if her feelings didn't match the expression! "It make you happy! I like it when you happy!" Just to emphasize that point, the majin would lean in and give her big green sister a BIG BLUE HUG, Liari's heart warming the instant her arms wrapped around her! Ayu was going to find that it was going to be difficult to keep Liari off of her when she needed to do her gardening or whatever else might require both hands! She had already grown attached to the young woman and soon, she might discover the majin clinging to her wherever she went! Anything to fend off that mysterious pain... anything to see that soft smile across Ayu's face!
...But for now, Ayu was content to keep that grin on the majin's face going, handing her a napkin with a tart, shortcake and ALL KINDS of fruits she didn't have words for! OH, how Liari's eyes SPARKLED at such a sight! What was mouthwatering before was CERTAINLY drooling now, the majin attacking her sweet-treat with a ferocity that would make those two mean changelings blush! She nearly ate the napkin too with the syrup having sunk into its folds... but settled for licking it instead after she realized immediately it wasn't food!
"MMmmmmm!" Liari moaned happily, cupping her cheek with abject pleasure! "Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet~!" She quickly looked around for that lemonade and nearly spilled it into her cup trying to fill it, Liari's enthusiasm skyrocketing with each offering she made to her sweet-tooth! She was, however, more careful drinking the lemonade this time, though, the inside of her cheeks and throat still ZINGING from chugging her last cup a moment ago!
"You the best, Ayu! LOVE you!" Liari exclaimed, scooping up another tart! Now that she was eating, all that slow, wholesome stuff would have to wait! There were cravings to satisfy, sweets to consume, sugary-drinks to... sip! Majin were heavily attracted to all manners of candies, pastries and other such sugary, fatty foods and Liari was no exception! She was gonna gorge herself until she was FULL and then sleep for-EVER after!
As she was mowing through a second tart, though, Ayu would explain that fighting wasn't really HER thing, but if Liari wanted to, for whatever reason, she could drop by! Liari nodded her head heavily and grinned, her face stained with sticky syrup and sugary crumbs!
"I come by LOTS!" She declared! "Love you, love you food! You best person ever! It okay you no like fighting! We do other things!"
Ayu would explain all the things she was into, very subdued and low-energy professions! The majin couldn't help but imagine Ayu in a monk's robe, walking slowly, deliberately, through a temple to do all the things she was gonna do today! She giggled lightly at the image, flashing her green-sister an amused grin, before handing her a BIG juicy strawberry off her tart!
"Eat! It taste good!"
Ayu might not grasp it JUST yet, but for a Majin to give away ANYTHING off their plate, let alone the biggest, juiciest sweet-thing, that was a REAL sign of love! Liari, if she cared about her any less, would have scarfed it down along with the rest of her tart! After all, it was HERS and she was HUNGRY! Maybe the soft deep-blue blush on Liari's cheeks would give it away, or the warm look that she flashed in her direction.
"I wanna know YOU!" Liari explained after gulping down another bite of tart! "Who you? Where you come from? You not like other humans! You... colorful! Nicer, too! Why?" The majin, her cravings... subdued for now, would lean in attentively, her silver eyes locked on Ayu's! It was story-time now! And Liari was expecting a good one!

... How could she even be mad or irritated at this cutely absurd little thing? The blue girl stated with confidence that her smiling face is making Ayu happy - not inaccurate. She caught on that quickly, didn't she? Well, she was happy when she saw Liari smiling as well... An unbelievably silly cycle or rather a Perpetuum Mobile of smiles. It wasn't only about grins or beaming with happiness, but also about the need to feel the other too. Both were... A bit lonely, so the permission to so easily and openly embrace their sister meant a lot. Right... It was difficult to do anything with a blue koala clinging to her like that! But Ayu didn't mind. Watching Bluebell make all those expressions and hearing all those soft and loving teases was already soothing enough.
By some miracle, Ayu was able to break free from this hug to feed Liari with what she had packed for lunch. Seeing how she wolfed down what she gave her, she must have been very hungry... Another prickling feeling of worry poked her soul. Somehow she doubted that Liari knew what money was - that was making things more difficult for her in this world. What was she eating until now? Was she hunting or stealing things? That was troubling, to say the least... A being stronger than average Earthling, with child-like impulses and the same level of reasoning. That wouldn't end well, would it? Still, looking at Liari now she couldn't say at all that she could pose a threat. Seeing how she was stuffing those blue cheeks, and eagerly eating sweets, started to remind her of a fluffy hamster, she couldn't help but smile. Noticing that Bluebell preferred sweet food, Ayu picked a sandwich with vegetables and cream cheese. More sweets for her new little sister. She placed closer to Liari a box with pastries and berries, quietly sipping on the cup with lemonade.
Love you. Huh... Each time when Ayu said those two words at the end of a phone call with her grandfather, he would hang up. It's not like she heard it before, said so nonchalantly and sweetly. When Liari exclaimed those words at first, Ayu's eyes softened, but she didn't say anything. The second time, when Bluebell promised to visit her often and followed her declaration with more words of fondness and unshaken faith, she felt her mouth opening, but no words were heard. It hit differently. Ayu's opalescent eyes teared down, she felt the heat of a blush on her face, but her lips curled into a touched smile. She slightly lowered her head, to hide how moved she was, but of course, it wasn't easy to hide that reaction... When Liari turned to her with the biggest strawberry between her two fingers, Ayu blinked and two tears rolled down her cheeks.
"Ah, no, d-don't worry," Ayu raised her hand in a calming gesture, preventing another fit of negative emotions from taking place. "Y-You didn't do anything wrong. It-" she stopped for a second to take a deep breath. The love hasn't solidified yet, perhaps because as a young adult Ayu wasn't as straightforward with her feelings and it wasn't as easy to bond with others... But the affection was there. She smiled at Liari fondly. "It's because I'm happy. Sometimes, when someone is really glad about something, they can feel moved to the point of tears, so it isn't a bad thing." Ayu wiped down her eyes and moved closer to embrace her sister and give her a long, loving squeeze. "No one ever told me that they liked me so much, so I got a little touched by what you said Bluebell..." she explained, patting her head and giving her some more free space. Hopefully from Liari's point of view, her emotions won't be too confusing. She finally picked the strawberry with utmost care and seriousness. Sharing food was important to her blue friend, and she wasn't taking it lightly. "Thank you," Ayu smiled before eating sweetened with syrup berry.
To be honest, deep down the young woman was a little anxious about her expression from before. All this time her emotions were clear and visible, be it a smile or worry or weeping... Ayu knew people found them troubling, taking her tears as a sign of weakness or worse, as an attempt at manipulation, where she simply was an emotional individual. She thought she got used to it. This time, however, she wasn't so sure. She was anxiously checking if Liari understood her correctly or by any chance, missed the meaning of her words and gestures.
"I don't know who I am," Ayu admitted quietly, changing the subject and raising her head to look at the sky. Swollen clouds were moving soundlessly through the blue canvas. "I'm not a human, that's obvious. But I don't know from what planet am I or what kind of race I belong to," tilting her head she glanced at Liari. "All I know is that I'm living on Earth and I'm green." With a chuckle Ayu waved her hand, in a silly way showing off her powder green complexion. Despite the number of aliens coming to the blue planet for the past decades, it was futile to look for the right foundation in a beauty store! Her skin was in this pale, cream-green hue, her hair was a deep verdant color and the only thing differing from that were her pale yellow eyes. Surely, no Earthling was looking like that... So, how could she know who would?

When Liari saw those tears roll down Ayu's cheeks... Liari panicked! She flailed around, her blood freezing in her veins, the majin just about to spring into action to rectify whatever mistake she made! Because she HAD to have made one, right? People don't really cry unless they were REALLY sad! Liari felt her heart clench in her chest, her own eyes begin to water with regret... but Ayu stopped her before the majin could actually do anything! Much to her surprise, Ayu explained that she was, in fact, VERY happy and not sad in the least, that sometimes people tear up when they're happy!
"R-really?" Liari whispered, slowly inching towards Ayu, almost as if she were a glass statue she might break! ...And then, the majin shared in Ayu's experience, the tears building up in her eyes overflowing over her cheeks as this revelation was made known! "I... so happy.... Afraid I hurt you... Afraid... you go away..." She whimpered softly. Ayu would then explain that nobody had ever said they liked her before... And Liari was dumbstruck! She just... didn't believe it! She must have forgotten, right? WHY would nobody say that to her? She was, like, the sweetest person in the world! ...Maybe only Majin could truly appreciate sweetness...
"Well, that stupid!" Liari stated bluntly before walking RIGHT up to Ayu and pulling her into another tight hug! "I like you! I REALLY like you! You best person ever!" Liari stated, half being what she REALLY felt, half making up for all the lost time in her sister's life, all of which she 100% believed in! "You hug me, you make me feel better, you feed me food and have nice voice! People stupid! You nicest person ever-ever!" Liari would give her new sister a BIG squeeze... before realizing she didn't call her by her name... She called her "Blue-bell..." On account of her skin...? Liari looked down at her hands... then up at Ayu, then around at some of the flowers here... Green flowers... "Lilies," they're called...
"You welcome, uh... Lily!" Liari stated, trying to follow Ayu's lead! "And I tell you so tomorrow too! And next day! And NEXT day! You never not best!"
_________
After their meal and Liari asking about Ayu's history, she would reveal... she didn't have much of one to tell! It was only that she couldn't much remember who she was, what race she was or what planet she was from! Only that she wasn't human! Too green for that. The similarities kept mounting in the Majin's mind as she stared at Ayu, her wide, silver eyes alight with wonder. Maybe they WERE sisters... Maybe they were long-lost sibling or something! It made sense, right? They had the same story, neither remembered anything and it wasn't REALLY needed that they look alike!
"Well, I know who you are!" Liari stated confidently! "You my sister, Lily! You my friend too! You pretty also! And very nice also-also! That all I care about! You only care about those things too!"
