Liari stared at ABAS dumbly. A Bug? In DENIAL? That would've been funny... if it wasn't kinda tragic. Especially with how logical ABAS had tried to make himself out to be.
"What... are you kidding me?" Liari asked, staring at ABAS as if he suddenly grew a third eyeball. "...Because its easier to make a tool than to transform someone into one. Look at my face and tell me I'm lying, Buggy. I MET humans that can actually FIGHT me. Not just play, not just stand there and let me slap them around. FIGHT. Like.... SERIOUSLY." Liari pointed at her face, wiggling a finger at it for emphasis. The Majin's expression was stony and solid. There were no obvious tells she was lying. ...And somehow, ABAS would do just that. He didn't want to entertain, even for a second, that things were more complicated than they appeared to be. At first, this irritated the Majin. Her eye twitched, her lips contorted into a small snarl... and then suddenly, a wave of understanding and... sympathy washed over her. She... really couldn't blame him, could she? If Liari were in his position, her existence plotted out, defined, and brought forth by someone else, she wasn't sure she'd believe HER blood-enemy if he told her things were more complex than anticipated. Liari's expression fell into a sad smile and she shook her head, merely shrugging her shoulders in resignation.
"ABAS..." Liari huffed. "...Surely by now you realize I am MUCH more powerful than you. I don't NEED to make you 'hesitate' to take advantage. ...And WHY would I lie to you? What do I have to gain by MESSING with you? What..." ...Liari stopped. What were the chances she was actually going to convince this creature of ANYTHING through speech right now? He was so intrenched in his programming, she doubted anything short of reality punching him in the face would shake him.
...Maybe she could help it along in a bit... but for now...?
...ABAS revealed that even if he WANTED to behave differently, it wouldn't matter. His creators would just kill him outright.
"...What...?" Liari asked, her eyes widening. "They'll WHAT!?" Rage BOILED in the Majin, steam BURSTING out of the holes lining her arms! They would kill him... for being himself!? JUST FOR THINKING DIFFERENT!? ...Liari might manipulate... she MIGHT slap a magical 'M' on foreheads and convince them to work for her... but holding a kill-switch over someone's head like that... ABAS declared that his only desire was to kill her and Liari only scowled... She couldn't tell if that was because he actually WANTED IT... or because he'd die if he said anything different.
"...I wish you meant it..." Liari muttered. In an instant, a MILLION SCREECHING KNIVES arched through Liari's mind, one of her eyes twitching with irritation. "Psychic, huh?" Liari grunted, sticking a finger in her ear and twisting... as if that'd stop the noise. God, this was irritating... Why was he...?
...Well, in that moment of minor distraction, ABAS SHOT into the air and fired forth his blast, a HIGHLY CONDENSED sphere of power which, upon anyone his level, would likely blow them to bits! Liari, upon lifting her head to face the blast, was even slightly impressed by the sheer power he was able to whip out! Still... she was mad now. Mad and impatient. This game had lasted QUITE long enough. A swipe of her tentacle SLAPPED the attack aside, sending it spiraling off into the distance harmlessly... where it would EXPLODE in a brilliant mushroom cloud!
"Stop." Liari commanded, her voice HARSH and forceful. Although she didn't speak with volume, the POWER in her grunt was such that the wind itself FROZE at her command. ...ABAS's determination, though, was greater. He LUNGED at the Majin still, attempting a sneak attack and throwing a FIST at her from behind! Liari's hand whipped around over it's appropriate shoulder, catching the attack! Liari turned her head to glare at the bioandroid... but the anger wasn't meant for him. If he looked closer, he might even see... Sadness? Liari was SAD for HIM?
...Yes. Liari... felt SAD for Buggy. He didn't have ANY control what he was doing, not really. He was just a puppet, something for some lab-coat-wearing BASTARD to shut off if it 'malfunctioned.' He probably didn't even see Buggy as a person, did he? Just a machine. Liari's body would morph so that she could turn around while still holding ABAS' fist and look him directly in the eye.
"Who made you? Tell me. I'll kill them. I will set you free. I will. I promise."
