While Athren had focused a lot of his own time into his village to make sure everything was running smoothly, he had found himself lacking within the training department. While he still did it, it wasn't nearly as often as he was training while he was preparing for Liari. From his brief encounter with her and from learning about her actions through Zerori, Athren had known that she was going to be the fight of his life. Something that he wouldn't be able to do easily. It was going to be a battle that required all of his efforts, all of his attention and he fully submit to that ideal. He didn't go a day without training, he pushed himself as far as he could to the point where he was on a completely new scale and with the help of his Super Saiyan Two form, he managed to take her down. While he believed it was permanent, he enjoyed his peace.
With the lack of training he was doing, he had adjusted to Earth life rather quickly. He had defeated Liari for reasoning beyond his own gain. He had done it for his children, for the planet so they could have a home that was safe, he did it for all the people of Earth, for all the Fathers that were like him that were powerless to help their children, with that gone he was now living a peaceful life for a saiyan. His village was thriving but still required work, he had taken on Pran and trained him whenever Pran desired and now Gemikai, when he wished Athren would help him too. Athren was well aware the Earth required heroes. People who would defend it to the best of their abilities and Athren knew that it couldn't be up to him alone. The residents of Earth would need to step up and take control of their power and use it for good. Athren was more than happy to help those who wanted to help themselves. Athren didn't want to step into the spotlight, he just wanted to live a simple life.
He may have wanted to train often but his life wouldn't allow that currently, he almost needed an excuse to pull away from his duties of his town. Of course, if one were to unexpectedly showed up in order to get a training session, Athren would jump on that to make it priority. Today, Athren was simply helping around the village. He was almost craving a light spar but there hadn't been anybody around who could give him a challenge. There wasn't any fighters within his village, there had only been himself. That had left him with little to no options. Though he couldn't help but think. Maybe Gemikai or Pran would swing by today for a little visit, maybe he'd get them in the Gravity chamber and try to increase their strength by a whole bunch. While Athren didn't know for sure, he couldn't help but hope for it.

Today Gemi planned to return to the crimson village to see Athren again. It was a bit longer than Gemikai wanted, but with everything going on it couldn't be helped. Gem had been training with his new teacher, adjusting to a new base, and figuring out his own growing power. Also, Gem didn't want to return back to the crimson village without news of USD leaving them alone. It didn't feel appropriate to show up to train with one of the most powerful individuals on the planet without some offering. The offering? Maybe the Crimson Village can catch a break from USD investigations. All things relevant. Let's talk location of our favorite character Gemikai. Gemikai was not currently located at the Crimson Spot he met Athren at - instead he was on the lookout high up in the sky. The lookout was nearby the village, in a sense, and was in perfect range for telepathic messages. Gemikai stood right at the very end of this majestic flying saucer with a look of ease down on his surface planet. Gemikai had to practice standing like this, mainly because of his fear - which was funny because he can fly. But - looking down at the world from the Lookout still created an unnecessary amount of fear. But not today.
Today was very thought out - it was a day for pain & gain. It was a reason why Athren from one of his more interesting missions - was on Gems mind heavy right now. Gemikai had his new Green GI on looking strong, fit, and able from the fashion size. The camera can close in to see the agent rubbing his own scalp - almost as of being bald was new to him or something. No one was physically near Gem, but that's because telepathy was currently more his style. A test of strength and skill. Gem closed his eyes and started to attempt to remember the last few moments before he left Athren's village. It was to remember a few details to continue to add to his spiritual hunt for Athren's signature. The camera can also see Gem in what looks to be a standing praying position.
This was a concentration pose - it stands to assist the witch warrior to help his mental & energetic cause. Athren's power level is so high that Gem was able to connect in minutes. Gem didn't want to assume Athren's was the strongest at first, and after going around that particular power level a few times - it was the only one powerful enough to be his. Gem just forgot how massive Athren's power level is - so it was a little overwhelming at first.
Gemikai's mental pondering: 'He gave specific instructions. He seems like the kind of guy to know telepathy though. I just don't wanna pop up there again looking goofy. Well it's not like I have the man's phone number. But I do feel like contacting him first does seem like the right thing to do. I'll just hope that telepathy wouldn't piss him off. Telepathy can piss someone off if it's unprompted - but I feel like he was more upset that I just popped up. So I'll telepathic call first because fuck it.'
Pondering.
It wasn't something Gemikai remembered doing often but Athren was a special case. Athren was a fucking beast. Gemikai gets a strange feeling when he even thinks of that man. Gemikai respects masters, and you can sense mastery in Athren if you look deep enough. Gemikai could feel that rough nature on him - and the guy wasn't like other sayians Gem had met on earth. It's not very many in USD but the few he's met during training hasn't impressed Gemikai. So, Gemikai's experience of Athren was outwardly and he needed to play his cards right if he wanted Athren as a friend. The camera can see the nervousness on the bald man as pondering turns to procrastination. The pondering kinda started to get a little worse by Gems physical language - aka the pacing on the edge of the lookout.
Gemikai's mental pondering - part two: 'I don't know. What if it's been too long and he doesn't wanna hang out with me anymore? What if he doesn't remember me? What if he was annoyed by my presence before and he gets the same feelings again?!?! Gah! My confidence is declining - am I so used to the weaker species being weaker than me, I get scared and shaky because someone on the block has REAL power? Do you want to get stronger or not? Ugh I gotta pull up for my life and purpose. He said I have potential and he did invite me - I just need to try. I just need to try. And only you know why it's so important for me to do this.'
Pondering, yet again.
There was mystery in Gem spirit that he couldn't get into by himself. The energy in his head and heart was racing, but Gemi had a look of purpose on his face. If anyone was sitting next to him they would know the man wasn't sky gazing. The pacing back and forth finally stopped, and with it the combat medic went back into a praying standing position. It was time to actually concentrate because Gemikai was going to send the message. There was such a gratitude in Gems mind that Athren's power level was so strong it helped establish the connection. That - or Athren knew telepathy himself and of course Gemikai didn't know that - but naturally assumed the guys power level maybe made the telepathic call easier to establish.
"YO. It's Gemikai. Sorry about the telepathic message. I felt a call before showing up was more appropriate. Can I come through today? I'm not far!"
Telepathic message sent successfully - and hopefully not screaming in that man's ear like a canary cry. The message was supposed to be smooth and heartfelt. Gemikai gave himself a huge sigh as he finally sat his tall ass down. The feet dangled as Gem laid back on the surface - in a casual waiting position for Athren to respond back. Gemikai usually only talks to Mister Popo and Dende through telepathy so honestly Athren even responding would be a small but big deal to Gem. Gem was patient - he was off duty USD wise and the day seemed really nice. Nice enough to make a real friend today.

Today would've been a day much like the rest of them. Athren had woken up rather earlier and managed to get in a little bit of training before he started the rest of his day and got to his daily tasks. He knew that he had been slacking off prior to now but with the presents of Pran, Athren had found himself a little bit more motivated to get back to it. Athren didn't quite know what had sparked his interest in training to this degree again, but it was a welcomed change. He had found himself getting so lost within the duties of his village that he put training on the back burner. He was more than well aware that this was a recipe for disaster, it was something that could've left him and the Earth vulnerable but he had to enjoy his life too and that's what he was doing. While it was such an odd change for him to run a village and focus on all the innocent things, it was very welcomed. He needed this downtime after Liari but it seemed as if it were time to get back to training. He wanted Pran and Gemi if he were to join, to be motivated and want to push past their limits and use Athren's own power as an example. He couldn't slack off now, especially if he wanted to motivate the two to become stronger than ever before. Plus, Athren knew that the Earth was going to need the two of them.
Currently, Athren had been roaming his village assisting with some of the daily tasks that the people did. He didn't have much else going on and essentially provided himself with everything he needed through the magic that he was learning. Though he still expected everybody else to provide for themselves the best they could. While Athren could essentially provide everything for everybody, the last thing he wanted to do was make everybody lazy and freeloaders. If people were desperate, he'd be more than happy to help but other than that, the deal was they'd have to provide for themselves.
"Athren! How are you?" A village woman said to him as she was tending to her garden. Of course she couldn't help but notice as he walked by her yard. She had been producing the most vegetables for the town and was a very valued asset to the village. Without her, their foot supply wouldn't be so stocked.
Of course, Athren couldn't help but stop and chat for a moment. He wanted to keep up the relations with his village. He liked all the people here and was happy that they called this place home. He wanted to know each and every one of them. So he was going to take the time to do just that. After all, it couldn't hurt. "I'm not bad at all actually." Athren couldn't help but reply with a small smile as his ocean blue eyes glanced over her garden. "It looks like your garden is coming along rather nicely."
"All my hard work is paying off! You're welcome to take a basket of fresh vegetables if you'd like. We've got more than enough." She pointed over to a basket on her front step as she gave him a big and bright smile. She was more than happy to offer him some food. After all he was doing his best with this village and it was quite a nice place to live. Everybody had seemed to appreciate his efforts and the town and everybody had been getting along up until this point. There hadn't been any issues. It was the least she could do to show him some appreciation.
"I appreciate it but it's better off going into the stockpile, I've got more than enough and If I'm lacking I can always go and get more. Thank you though." It was at this moment that Athren would've gotten Gemikais message. While he wasn't expecting it, it was damn welcome. Gemi needed work and he had the potential, he just really needed to bring it out. After all, Athren as flagged him as one of Earth's defenders. It was just going to take some time to get there but with the help of Athren and his gravity chamber, Athren believed Gemi could get there soon. "But for now, You'll have to excuse me."
Athren would've given her a little wave as he made his way to the well in the center of the town. It was at this point that he would use his telepathy ability and communicate with Gemikai. Of course, he sensed him out first and locked onto his signature first. "I'll be waiting in the center of town at the well. Don't make me wait too long."
Of course Athren was rather patient these days, but he didn't mind applying a light pressure to Gemikai to make him arrive as fast as possible. Though Athren had trained a little today, he hadn't kept up on it and he was rather excited to get back into the gravity chamber. This time around, it wouldn't just be for his benefit either but Gemi and Athren truly wanted to see how far he could push Gemi. He had sensed that Gemi had potential but he had a long way to go before he unlocked it but maybe the gravity chamber and some pressure from Athren would be more than enough to bring it out. That would yet to be seen though. For now Athren would cross his arms and wait, his ocean blue eyes scanning around the village as he awaited Gemikai's arrival.
With any hope, Gemi would be prepared for a training session like he'd never image. Athren was going to do the same thing he did with Pran. He was going to apply pressure and try to teach him, try to grind out the rough edges and create a perfect fighting. Athren was experienced after all and he had a lot to pass on.

Patience.
The only thing needed until and or if Athren decided on a response. Gemikai knew the man was busy. Training, maintaining a village, and not to mention sex life. Oh yeah, Gemikai took one look at that man and knew - the village girls was keeping that urge fed. Honestly Gem hadn't seen the village girls so maybe he shouldn't be so sure. Gem was just standing at the edge for a few minutes in patience when he got a few messages from his teacher. A quick two second telepathic conversation between student and master-
Master Dende: "Please remember what I told you about him."
Gemikai: "Yes Master. I will."
Gemikai never forgets the things his sensei tells him about the people on this planet. It felt like he had a personal profile on everyone, everyone but Athren. It intrigued Gemikai to no end but it caused the guardian to ask Gem to remain cautious. Gemikai wasn't told Athren was bad, but there was a level of mysteriousness about Athren that eventually won't be ignored. Gemikai wanted to jump right in! Especially if this guy could be capable of friendship, Athren was one of the most powerful individuals on the planet. A friend Gemikai would like to keep - but how do you keep strong friends? Train with them. Gemikai at this point of waiting finally got Athrens response, and finally was an overstatement because the Sayian didn't take long to respond. Gemikai really concentrated to receive the message completely - and afterwards it was time to move out. The green gi warrior adjusted his weight towards and then allowed himself to drop. This drop was brought to you in parts by a man ready to meet another man again! That came out wrong! Back to the story. Gemikai allowed his body to fall as a last propelling breath was taken - then a full burst of speed was activated and Gemikai was flying like a speeding missile. Gemikai forgot how much stronger and faster he's gotten since Athren and he first met. Gemikai was moving at fast speeds head first straight for the village!
Of course the gentleman adjusted his speed properly the closer his physical vessel arrives. Gemikai knows what it feels like to fly in a city full of humans that don't fly - so he tries to be extra considerate when flying around normie humans. Gem didn't want to draw too much attention to himself in a weird way, but he didn't want to be noticed as the USD guy on the news - so his flying was still at a decent speed. Gemikai wasn't on go mode because Athren activated his big brother says voice, but obviously Gem wanted to get started training with what looks to be the best. In only a few minutes Gem was seen by the camera and hopefully Athren making this way downtown, flying fast, faces past and he's homebound. Gemikai lightly made contact with the outskirts of the well a few feet from it. The village looked so different in the light. Gemikai finally turned to Athren - a strong man to man gaze before Gem spoke first. It has that same optimistic bright sounding voice - but towards the end you can feel the seriousness in his energy. You could tell Gemikai wasn't here to waste anyone's time. It was time to grind.
"Well it's been about a month or so but I'm back and off duty. The village looks better in the day time that's for sure! I know it's been a while but at least you're still in good form. I'm ready when you are."

When Gemi had finally arrived to the town he was motivated and more than ready, he even passed on the small talk and stated it to be so. It was obvious that he wanted to make the most of his time here and that was something that Athren respected. Why talk when they could train? Though he did have to take the compliment. The town looked better in the day and while it wasn't a major thing, it had meant that Athren had done well with building this place. The sunlight had also brought out a majority of the community as they had been living their lives, whether that be doing their daily chores or having some fun, the town was bright, full of smiles and laughter. It was really on full display here for Gemi to see.
Though Athren couldn't help but arch a brow when Gemikai said he was ready, while he might've been ready for training it was unlikely he was truly ready for the training that was to come. Similar to with Pran, Athren was going to bring Gemi into the gravity chamber and start easy, he was then going to ramp it up a bit to apply pressure and force Gemi into those tough situations. Now whether or not Gemi could handle the weight was something else entirely but they'd soon find out.
Athren simply crossed his arms, his ocean blue eyes glaring at Gemikai with nothing but seriousness. "You're ready? Before we start I'd like to know. Have you ever trained in a Gravity Chamber before?"
Whether or not it was told to Athren previously was something that would've been forgotten, but at least now he'd know what he was dealing with. While he wanted to be hard on those he was training he still wanted to remain fair. If he hadn't been fair to those he was training, he might've discouraged them from trying to get much stronger and that was the opposite effect that he wanted. He wanted everybody encouraged and motivated, he had hoped his training sessions would push people to go train on their own to surpass what they had faced with Athren. While that was the hope, it was never for certain. One thing Athren had hoped for though, was that Gemikai would take this a little bit more serious than Pran from the start. This wasn't about having fun or playing around, this was supposed to be a serious training session, it was meant to be viewed more as work than play. He needed his students focused on the outcome of the fights and that should've been to be the absolute best they can become.
Athren needed the warriors of Earth prepared, ready to take on the next Liari if it came to it. He knew that eventually, somebody was going to come to Earth that he couldn't handle alone. He knew that the Earth was going to need its heroes, it was going to need people to defend it.

The connection between Gemikai and Athren was so new to the bald man. A person with his kind of strength and far beyond - it was really astonishing. Gemikai would fantasize about how strong this man truly was. Fixed on his stance, attitude, and hell - Gemikai was even looking at the clothing. Was it one person who was a master teacher? Or was it blood, sweats, and guts? Gemikai was getting used to meeting stronger fighters lately, but Athren was still an unbothered giant compared to most of the inhabitants of this planet. But only a few who looked knew it. Gemikai turned his gaze from Athrens back and onto the villagers going about their day. Gemikai didn't sense any weird hiccups this close in the mist of the village. You could smell the cooking! You could smell fresh herbs! And you can hear villagers laughing! In bliss - or at least in safety. They don't seem nervous about Gemikai's appearance at all. At this point of the story the two fellas are making their way to what Gem realizes ia a training center. Maybe even these mere villagers were accustomed to this mysterious saiyan's strength and grace.
Gemikai stepped through the threshold of the training center. The camera watches Gem begin to stretch his ankles and fingers as they continue to move - until two fighters were where the more experienced fighter needed them to be. Now the eyes created a lock - Gemi internally guessed Athren probably had to throw some kind of debriefing towards Gems way. The words? Almost exactly the vibe Gem felt when it was received. Mental thoughts: Athren had never talked to Gemikai about gravity chambers - so it's only fair he at least asked Gem if he knew what the hell was about to pop off when buttons get pressed. Gemikai continued to mulit task with smaller but getting bigger body stretches as Gem spoke in proper flow for conversation and communication.
"Yes, I am ready. Yes I have access to one. The Sayian Queen... Uh gave?.. gifted? me a base with a chamber. I haven't tried to lean on it in the beginning but lately it's the only thing really making me stronger these days. I've used it a bit here and there but, but as hard as we're about to go today!"
So much going in that statement alone. Not dropping the info that Gemikai somehow knows the Queen to Athren. Bold. Strategically it'll be best to keep your cards to yourself. But as Gemikai continued to stretch his body in an unbothered sense of flare - it was clear Gemikai knows more than he looks. The tone was casual as usual because who needs to lie about a Queen gifting you something like you royalty. Not a big brag but why not let a new friend in on your resources if you wanted to be - you know, friends. Gemikai came for a serious training session, but Gem didn't come so a Sayian can just anonymously train him for mysterious purposes. So multitasking right? Push for some kind of friendship. Despite all hardass men - we all need kinship of some kind. Gemikai didn't exactly want to use Athren, the demon optimist wanted to befriend him. It must be lonely at the top - so a motivated mother fucker like Gemikai was on his way to join him. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

Well, Athren couldn't have helped but be rather surprised by his answer. The Queen had gifted him a base with a chamber in it? Was she trying to smooth over her errors from her little attack on the city? That could've been the only answer that Athren had seemed to be fitting. There was really no other reason for it. He couldn't help but think that was part of her strategy, was she now trying to win the USD over to make them forgive and forget her actions there and even if that was the case, were the USD and Earth government really going to just let that little gesture fix it all? It really wasn't a decision that Athren would have a hand in making but he couldn't help but think it would be foolish for them to let their guard down so easily. She attacked a city and had an army, she was a threat to the planet for the foreseeable future. Partnerships, discussions and a length of time may be required to fix it but for now, the Earth best be cautious.
On the bright side, this gift from Zaks had allowed Gemikai some training within a gravity chamber and that meant he wasn't completely new to it. This would allow Athren to start them off at a higher gravity level and he felt he wasn't going to need to allow a lot of time for Gemi to adjust to it. While he couldn't help but think that it would weight Gemikai down quite a bit, it shouldn't be severe as somebody who was completely new to this type of training.
Without wasting anymore time, Athren would get the ball rolling. "If that's the case then, I'm not going to start you off easy. You're going to need to be strong, especially with the way this planet seems to attract threats." He paused for a moment before directing his voice towards the chambers AI. "Activate the Gravity, Ninety Six times."
The rooms lights had immediately changed to red to signal that the gravity was activating and to warn anybody outside the room that the gravity was on and within seconds the gravity in the room would change. Athren of course, didn't feel a single thing. He was far beyond this level of gravity and there was no benefit to him anymore. This was purely for Gemikai, though before they got to training and a little spar. Athren was going to allow Gemikai a moment to get his bearings and settle in to it.
"Take a short moment and get used to it, once you're ready. Attack me, show me what you're capable of but keep the energy blasts to a minimum. I don't want this ship to go up in smoke over a training session."
He was rather looking forward to what Gemikai could do. He could sense that he was very strong for an Earthling and he had the potential to rival Pran but would he put in the work to make it so?
