It was yet another day on Namek with Arctic actively chasing his goals of gathering the seven Dragon Balls and while his success rate hadn't been the best thus far, he was eager to see that change. The Dragon Balls were everything he wanted and desired and because of that, he wasn't going to roll over and give in just because finding them was a struggle. He knew that finding the Dragon Balls wouldn't happen overnight but he was going to remain of task and search relentlessly every single day and today was another day where his Radar had brought him to yet another Namekian Village. Of course, this one was essentially the same as the rest but the only difference is that it was a little bit larger. This village was also the closest to the slave encampments and work area, providing the residence with the shortest possible distance to travel to get the work done. It was the most beneficial setup to both the Namekian's and the Planet Trade Organization.
While Arctic didn't care about either the Planet Trade or the Namekian population, it was a thought that had crossed his mind and something that he would take it. This planet had been providing work for years and it hadn't died out and the population had remained rather healthly for the most part. It was something that Arctic could transfer to his future Empire when he had taken the reigns on the universe.
He knew that he'd need to set up the planets effectively and make sure that he got the most out of the slave labour. If he wanted his home world to thrive more than it did in the past, he would need to make sure that productivity was maximized. He would also need to make sure that the slave population was well taken care of an maintained, to keep them working at their best. These were all notes he was taking from his time on Namek but that wasn't why he was here.
Currently, his Radar had brought him to this Village during the day while it was mostly empty. There had been few elders and children within the small houses but nothing more than that. They were specifically hiding from Arctic as the words from his hunt had spread throughout the planet. They knew how he was killing Namekian's in search of answers to the Dragon Balls and they would much rather avoid the same fate. If Arctic were to come across them, surely he'd be aggressive and demand answers and then end their life.
Since Arctic had arrived in the Village, he had turned multiple houses inside out as he rooted around for the Dragon Ball. He knew it was here somewhere but he couldn't possibly know of the specifics. It was a shame that the Dragon Ball radar wasn't more accurate but this was the best he had and he was going to have to make due with it. Though given a lot of the houses were very similar he had gotten into a very effective pattern. He systematically would break them all down. Going through drawers, shelves, cupboards, everything that was in his way. He'd even go over the floor to make sure there hadn't been any secret compartments.
With each houses he searched, his pattern remained.
While more often than not, his search had resulted in finding nothing of value he continued to hope that the next drawer would be the one holding the Dragon Ball. These Namekian's truly went out of their way to make sure they hadn't been found easily. Even if one were to get to the rough location of a Dragon Ball, it wouldn't get any easier from there. Though the want for them to hide them so well gave him even more of a drive to find it. If the Namekian's had gone to such an extent to keep the Dragon Balls safe, surely, they must be everything he was told about them and more. They must be worth it and must give him everything he desired.
He just had to get them all.
Arctic had moved from house to house, keeping his momentum going. Nothing had gone unchecked. He was thorough and very specific with his searching. The last thing he wanted to do was miss a place and miss the Dragon Ball completely. He wasn't here for that. He knew that he needed to be successful, he had to find them all and it had to start picking up. The search so far had been very slow and while it was frustrating and annoying, he wasn't going to give up because of that. The Changeling ruler had come so far for this, he had made his way from Frost to the Planet Namek for one reason alone and he wasn't going to give it up now. He needed the Dragon Balls and he was well within reach of it. He couldn't help but estimate that he wasn't much more than a month away from that and if things started to get a little bit better, maybe even a couple weeks time. It really all came down to a little bit of luck and determination but surely, this hard work would pay off not before long.
The houses continued to get searched by time he got to a slightly larger one. The outside had looked like all the rest but the inside was slightly different. It had more areas to search than the rest of them and seemed to have a low more storage areas. It was at this time that Arctic began to go through everything, he started from the right side of the door and took his time. He wasn't going to miss a single spot. As the search continued, he had found a secret spot in the floor. It was simply held on by a latch that was hidden by a rug. Grabbing it, Arctic had opened it to find a...
