"RAAAAAAAAAAAAUGH!" Liari roared, her body hunched, her aura flickering between pink and a dark, sinister blue-black color! Veins bulged along her forehead and up her arms, her eyes glowing a deep, angry red! Her fists curled and uncurled from fists into clawed arcs and back again, her body seizing up under the sudden upsurge of power!
"M....m...Makaioken...." She bellowed, her voice trembling in her throat as her aura steadily faded into that deeper blue color! "...T-T-Times...." Her aura suddenly TWISTED and contorted, Liari's body JERKING as it swelled outwards like she were suddenly inflated with air! The majin's body BURST with a sudden EXPLOSION OF POWER, ROCKING THE SHIP LEFT AND RIGHT on its non-descript course, almost threatening to rip open the hull! Zamasu, who had been watching this ongoing struggle for the past hour, merely lifted a hand and conjured a barrier, deflecting both the chaotic energy wave and the pieces of majin flown his way!
"No, no. This will simply not do." Zamasu chided, lowering his hand and, in turn, the barrier. "This is no simple power-up. You are not simply... increasing your power, drawing more of it out. You are DOUBLING your normal output, making your body produce MORE energy... Simply gathering it will only result in your destruction... as temporary as that may be." The kai absently kicked at one of the slabs of majin goop. Slowly, the pieces began to slither towards one part of the room, amalgamating into the vague shape of a woman cross-legged on the ground before the details... then the color filled in, revealing the majin sitting there, her face cupped in her hands dejectedly.
"...Its not that easy..." She grumbled, looking away. "...I can get the power together FINE, its just... trying to keep ahold of it, make it do what I want... Its like trying to hold onto a wet bar of soap!" Zamasu looked upon the dejected form of his servant and sighed. Clearly, being direct wasn't going to make it with this one. He longed for the days where he only had to count on himself to get the job done, where he and himself were the only ones required for the plan. His eyes narrowed. ...Then those saiyan ningen had to go muck it up... His plan... his PERFECT PLAN...
NO. No... that was in the past, as were those fools. This was a time to build something new. After all, what sort of god would he be if he disregarded his plan the moment it hit a snag?
"It is a matter of mental and physical control." The kai offered gently, holding his hand out for Liari to take! She took it and stood. "...You must use your head. THINK, Liari. You mustn't force it, or this will simply keep happening. Circulate the energy... keep it moving. Channel it into your attacks. Merely... holding it inside is dangerous... deadly even, were it not for your ability to regenerate."
"...Its like trying to do a dozen things at once..." Liari whined, lightly smacking her palm upon the ship's tiled floor! "How am I supposed to punch someone in the face with one hand when I'm trying to tug on my own leash with the other!?"
"This is something you must learn." The Kai insisted, a creeping edge if irritability in his voice. "If you do not, this technique will only continue to illude you. You will never have the strength you need to complete the mission I've given you... or the one you've given yourself." Liari blinked at that last one, looking up at the Kai.
"...What?"
"Your mission... You wish to know about that saiyan who killed you last time, yes?" Zamasu locked a knowing gaze upon the Majin. "...I can sense your thoughts, Majin. I have noticed how frequently your mind shifts back to that mortal, how desperate you are to put a face to that memory. It is like a gap in your mind, a hole in your memory, an outline cut around that man's face. You know he's a saiyan... You know he's a man... But beyond that...? Only that he killed you. You're hungry not only for his name... but his death. You want revenge... Don't you?" Liari blinked again... then frowned, glancing off the the side in annoyance.
"...You're not the first to promise me power..." She grumbled, looking down at her hands. "...A wizard gave me power to take over people's minds... A Demon gave me the power to turn dimensions into my playthings and it STILL doesn't feel like enough! What if this technique you're teaching me STILL isn't enough? What if-"
"I am a god." Zamasu stated flatly, as if stating as simple a fact as any. "I am no wizard, no demon. I am not even a mortal. I am a being from a higher dimension, someone who knows exactly what you are capable of. You CAN learn this. As for your doubts..." The kai just shrugged. "...Do not burden yourself with such mortal concerns. You are learning from a deity. Is that not enough to ease your mind?"
"...I don't even know what a GOD is anymore..." Liari grumbled, turning her head away again.
"...And you likely never will. You are a mortal. It is not in your nature to understand these things. Understand THIS however." Zamasu raised a finger. "...Failure is not in the cards for you. One way or another, you will learn what I am attempting to teach you. It is simply a matter of... motivation at this stage. If you will not learn willingly, by your own motivations..." Zamasu's finger began to glow with the rotating saw-like edges of a deep blow aura.
"...I shall give you a motivation of my own. Is that clear enough for you, mortal?"
"...Yes..." Liari huffed.
"Good. Now... Gather your wits... And try again. You WILL master this technique before we move forward... Otherwise, all that you have gained will be for NOTHING."
"...And We can't have that..." Liari muttered with the slightest of sarcastic edges. If Zamasu noticed, he did not show it, the Kai once again stepping back and folding his arms behind his back. Liari sighed heavily, closing her eyes as she blocked out and SQUASHED the frustration building up inside... She needed a clear mind if she was going to even get CLOSE to perfecting this technique, this... Makaioken. Crouching low, Liari gathered her power up inside, imagining it like a rotating sphere in her chest... before allowing it to SURGE up her nerves, her limbs, and back into her chest!
"Makaioken..." She rumbled, her aura FLARING a deep and sinister aura of blue and black.
