It's been a few days now since things changed once more. The South City fight was all over the news in the places that connected to the wide world. The air of uneasiness was growing stronger in settlements while people desperately wanted to get back to how things were before. It's not like Ayu didn't understand that wish... But it wasn't as easy as that. Uncertainty was only feeding the anxiety. Something was happening around the northern side of the world as well and no one could tell what the future held. The dread was repeating the same question inside her head, over and over again. So many people were lost, so many people were involved and now, even more, seemed to look for a solution to... To something that felt like it needed more than one answer. There were politics thrown into this mess, on the Lookout they talked about looking for Dragon Balls and preventing similar tragedies but this all seemed like it wasn't enough. Maybe that was the point? That in the face of possible danger, they would never be sure that they were prepared. Didn't mean they shouldn't push through... Wasn't that resolve similar to what Ayu had undergone in the mountains while training? She had the power to save and heal others, though it didn't mean that she would be able to save every last one of them. Of course, it won't stop her from trying to do so.
It would have felt more fulfilling if she could use that power when she needed it. Callion only survived because she had Senzu Bean on her while the healing technique she was so dedicatedly polishing backfired. Maybe she was able to save Liari and Quash from their deathbeds but once more the emotions took hold of her and Ki run amok preventing her from doing anything else than causing chaos. Good that they were able to knock her out before anything serious could happen... But the guilt was still there. Ayu has spent the last days in an abstract state of calm uneasiness, quietly doing her chores, training, and meditation, staying away from others while serenely watching the distance... And yet she was being easily startled by people, by the lightest of sounds and intrusive thoughts that loved to knock on the door of her conscience. Coward.
But that was on her. One of the things she desperately needed to do was to get that power in control rather than letting it control her. It was ironic that somehow her steps guided her here. To this place... Ayu feared walking through the green path again, a living, breathing monument to her weakness. Through so many negative feelings this jungle was born, and she was afraid everything she felt back then would resonate with her again. Memories of that night were hazy and perhaps in a way repressed but some things could not be changed. This was the very first place she went berserk - she tried to calm down, to forcefully stop her energy from going into a frenzy, but nothing worked. Liari had to knock her out. The energy painfully grew without any restrains, the pressure put on her body tasted like blood and when it was too much, the Ki poured out, soaking to the ground. Maybe it was because of her connection to nature and because the very first ability that Ayu manifested was the bond and influence over vegetation... And that's why her outbreak took this shape. Twisted roots and branches sprouting without rhyme or reason, their leaves, flowers, and bark unnaturally hard, sharp, or rough. Like a sponge, plants drank her abundant energy that was fueled by Ayu's panic and pain and gave them horrendous shapes... It was like a crime against nature itself. They were attacking everything around her in an attempt to save her from whatever caused that fear, which only made her more scared of what she was capable of - locking her in this spiral.
Now she was here, walking through this twisted jungle quietly and it was so different from what she imagined. Silent. With the breeze rustling between the vines and the soft songs of the wild birds, Ayu felt like she was somewhere else... But not quite. The flora told her that under their roots remains were scattered, pieces of weapons, broken armor, and fractured equipment that the Red Ribbon group had. She did kill people here even when she never wished for that. Her plants have hurt Liari, and the injuries she inflicted on Calot put him in a coma for months... She almost died here too. This jungle was a monument to her faults, reminding her how hopeless she was while facing her lack of control and raging power.
... So why was this place so peaceful?
Ayu climbed the twisted roots on her path, lightly jumping above the bushes to land on a thick carpet of moss. Nothing in the air gave the hint of grudge or misjudgment, it was a serene albeit very thick and wild jungle. The light played with shadow and deep verdant colors. It welcomed her but Ayu could not understand why... After everything, she had done..? Reaching the center of the place, she took a deep breath. The hole that the power carved in the ground was now filled with soft blades of grass and blooming flowers. The ligneous parts of the tree shell that tried to trap her were now green with fern, bluebells sprouting from the side of it. That... Kind of stung but she looked at the flowers fondly. Dense vines and roots were now covered with leaves, jungle critters finding shelter and food in a maze of plants. Life was created and it will always be there because life always finds its way... No matter how difficult survival will be.
Nature whispered something to her once it felt how heavy Ayu's heart was. She stopped walking and raised her hand - the vines from the nearby tree enveloped her hand. The grass under her feet moved and the branches softly creaked while leaning over to her side. Tiny, white flowers bloomed on the tendrils that wrapped themselves around her fingers, smelling of sweet honey. She closed her eyes, sensing the pulse of nature and she started to feel her eyelids burn with tears. There was one thing about nature that she preferred and appreciated more than others could give her - honesty and simplicity. Flora could never lie. Even if she created this place under such pressure, in the situation she loathed, filling them with fear and pain... They never blamed her. Those bad feelings passed as soon as she lost consciousness back then and now simply a calm, serene jungle was here. It told her that there was nothing to forgive. Ayu raised the hand enveloped with flowers, pressing it against her forehead, tears holding to her eyelashes while she smiled sadly with relief.
"... Thank you," she whispered fondly.
Maybe this little reassurance was all she needed today.

This pain still echoed in his mind. How annoying it was for him having to go through time and time again, he was not entirely sure what it was but each time he fell asleep, eventually he would begin to feel it. The anxious melody in the background, note after note, it spoke of tragedy and emptiness. He could not exactly pin it down, but he could swear he heard voices again and again. Was this that guy telling him to heed his words once more? He was not sure, but for one Nasu knew that something was off. It came as a spiral of emotions that swirled all the way around him until they were just too loud and strong to ignore, they were deafening to the ears and blinding to the eyes.
Every single second that he remained dormant the pain grew harder and louder, in his head, that nearly caused his mind to explode. This was not normal of course, he had a hard time sleeping most of the time but this was unheard of; could it be a result of all the nights he was left unable to sleep that were causing this to him? Were they all backfiring at once onto the man because of the stress and tiredness? Not to mention the entire Liari incident, his stress had definitely increased a whole lot since then.
Of course while the man was nearing the edge, eventually he simply woke up. His eyes burst open and his vision was blurry almost immediately, somewhat blinded perhaps even by the sunlight. His hands reached for his head and face and somewhat tried to calm himself down, they wrapped around his sides and slowly he massaged himself through it to kind of at least make it go away.
His chest rose and fell, his breathing was still irregular from the strange pain that had inflicted him. Just what the hell was going on with him? Nasu had suffered physical injuries plenty of times, so he was quite acquainted with that kind of pain but of course there was nothing that he could ever recall that had afflicted his mind. This had to be the first time. If there was even anything wrong with him, that is. The Saiyan exhaled and finally the weight on his chest began to disappear and the pain managed to soothe itself eventually, even though he still felt a sensation of that stress that had surged from within, now he was at least somewhat fine.
The hands dropped and so did his gaze to eye his surroundings. Last night he had been training, again and again and trying to figure out his path, of course eventually it simply got that late that one needed to rest no matter whether they were an Earthling or a Saiyan warrior, and thus he slept right here, for a simple reason. When he wandered he encountered what came across as the entrance to a jungle that looked quite deep as well, the shapes were beyond anything that he had ever witnessed in all the years he spent roaming the earth and thus when he saw it, he was concerned.
Not only for its shapes, he feared not such things but rather the fact that he had already been here before and he was pretty sure that the whole biome was not there to begin with, it was almost like it appeared in the span of less than a year maybe. This was not normal. Nasu knew this very well and feared that something strange had taken place in this place, but at what time he could not tell, it was nearly enough to make his head hurt again. But Nasu chose to explore it now, while the sun finally began to slowly rise from the sky, he stood up and eventually readied himself to take on this journey.
His eyes were visibly tired but he took the first steps to enter this strange and bizarre land of greenery. When finally his journey began, what first laid before him were entire walls of roots and bushes, not to mention the branches of nearby trees but what he could not shake off was the feeling that all of it simply felt so real and alive. Nasu was not stupid, he knew that plants were alive in general, but this was something else, he could almost feel like they were watching him, and while he felt a little bit of doubt nudge him about this exploration, he chose to carry on.
It did not appear to be weird or special in any sense. It was literally just a jungle, and yet it carried some sort of mystery but perhaps it could very well just be Nasu who was mistaken and had probably simply not been through this path yet, maybe his memory was truly going away already at such a young age?
Nevertheless, eventually he reached the very center of the jungle where he witnessed plants that sported a brighter shade of green and flowers that sat in the ground below, something else he sighted was far more curious however: an individual. He did not know at first whether it was an actual person, but then he could sense her energy and also the fact that she was moving, and apparently even shedding tears near one of the plants nearby. Nasu was a little shocked and very confused, too, what he was watching exactly was something that he could not even attempt to guess.
“Am I… interrupting?”
He chose to break the silence, still curious to learn more about this place and this individual now. Nasu moved and tried to take a step forward but stopped when the corner of his eye caught flowers that stood in his path, the man froze and instead made a longer step to make sure he would not step on them, given how bright and nice they looked like, he made sure to approach the stranger but looking a little goofy now that he was trying not to step on the flowers beneath him.
“I am Nasu. Are you a regular here? This is kind of the first time I have been. I say kind of because I am pretty sure I have been here, but the place was entirely different.”

This sensation was warm and pleasant, washing away the worry that started to grow on her self-loathing. After all, what Ayu did here wasn't something she could easily take back. The jungle was already here. It was the same with actions and words, wasn't it? The more things were difficult and grave, the more mistakes made bigger impacts, rippling around and affecting more and more people. She wasn't suited for decision making - but returning to the point where those choices weren't hers to make was out of the question. At least one thing turned out alright... There was no grudge or despair hidden in the flora that she created under the pain of her transformation. The cool sensation of fresh leaves on her skin, the sweet smell of flowers, the calmness and soft breeze around... Ayu could stand like this for hours, reflecting and soaking in that reassuring feeling. But... Focused on that she didn't turn her attention towards sensing the area and she forgot about one important thing.
That she might not be here alone.
And just like that Ayu jumped in place, startled by a sudden voice that caught her completely off guard. With a soft gasp, she first paled and then a wave of familiar, nervous blush tinted the tips of her ears. She wanted to turn right toward the signature of someone who was about to approach her, but as she did so, she tripped over her own feet. Oh no. It didn't matter how strong she got, that clumsiness was still there... As she felt her shoes slipping on the grass, the plants started to move like gentle waves on the sea. The vines caught her before she had a chance to lose her balance and more flowers grew out of nowhere. Of course, there was a tree. It was always a tree or thick shrubs or bamboo in some cases. Right in front of Ayu, a natural hideout sprouted in a split second, big and wide enough for her to stand behind. She didn't even use her energy, at least not too much, just the Ki and flora reacted on their own... She badly needed self-control lessons. So much has happened but this side of her didn't change at all. The anxiety she felt each time she was faced with an unknown presence wasn't something that she could get rid of easily. Pressing her forehead against the rough bark, she sighed soundlessly. Out of habit, and maybe to have some comfort while being out of sight, Ayu would put something between herself and a stranger - even if at this point it felt silly. The student of the Guardian of Earth shouldn't act like that...
After two moments and ten seconds, her green head peeked from behind the tree trunk. Ayu slowly blinked, looking at the Saiyan cautiously, and bashfully - she was deeply embarrassed that she let herself be startled like that. She probably caused a bit of a scene too. And her reaction... She rubbed her blushed cheek, at the same time wiping away any tears that would still be clinging to her face. Why was she like this?
"I-I am s-sorry about that..." She apologized, her head leaning from behind the tree more so now both eyes and two-thirds of her flustered face were more visible under the shadow of leafy branches. "I was lost in thoughts a-and I just got surprised," so she explained shyly but... She wasn't leaving the hideout behind the tree just yet. Lowering her gaze, she slightly nodded hearing the introduction. "M-my name is Ayu," adding that with a softer tone, she blinked and sharpened her senses.
Being careless was never a good thing but she tended to forget about the world around her when overthinking. The young man here... He wasn't hostile. It was something she noticed with a sense of relief. Quite opposite, his energy was clear, calm, and sympathetic. Looking at the Saiyan, she had to say that his silhouette reminded her of Callion or Calot - they all were tall, very muscular, and towered over most of the Earth's population. Even if lately she gained two inches in height, she still felt incredibly short when talking to individuals like them... Especially when their presence screamed strength and focus. That wasn't exactly her thing, was it? Ayu couldn't spot the tail but she was sure that Nasu belonged to the powerful race of Saiyans. It wasn't about dark hair and eyes, but this particular hue of the Ki that always was bustling with vitality and resilience. And the most important thing that caught her attention - that while shortening the distance between them, he was mindful of the flowers blooming between the blades of grass. For someone with such posture avoiding stepping on tiny blossoms was quite an ordeal. Ayu could feel herself smiling gently in surprise while watching how Nasu was carefully taking every step... Her features softened. Trying to aid him a little she raised her hand - the flowers perked up and moved from his path, twisting and turning between the grass until they found new places to take root.
"This place... This was m-my doing," Ayu finally admitted, taking a step from behind the tree. As if in reassurance, both of her hands were still resting on the uneven bark and she looked up at the tree crown. The sun shined through the branches and leaves creating a mosaic of greenery, light, and shadow. Her yellow eyes were gazing at it with sadness. "I'm sorry if by any chance this disturbed you but I don't think I-I can make it go away," this was already something out of her control. Maybe she could revert every and last piece of flora here back to the seeds or saplings but what for? The animals found shelter here, so many new plants sprouted on their own and in the middle of a rough and empty wasteland, it was a tangled oasis of greenery that could give a shadow and place to rest for any traveler lost in this area. "The jungle is already thriving on its own and it doesn't feel right to take those lives away," she stroked the tree trunk fondly, lowering her voice a little.
This place should be left as it is. It wasn't perfect - but so wasn't she. Changing from something that she thought would be a monument of her sins and bad memories to a jungle full of life - because she dared to venture here on her own. She wouldn't know that if she'd stayed away for longer... If only every aspect of her could do the same, prove that it isn't as scary as expected upon looking closer. Ayu could only wish.

It was not unknown to Nasu, that certain objects or actions, or even thoughts could potentially be quite calming to someone; to the point where they would feel their entire soul find peace and quiet. Something that he sought honestly, that feeling one could feel when resting from a long day, that very moment where one could feel the strange sensations from below their back reach their entire body and allow it to relax if only briefly. It was something that Nasu sought, but not only physically, because anyone could achieve it and did so many times throughout their days. Rather he sought that kind of… mental peace. The quiet that no one could possibly disturb that easily, no hard work or training could take that away from him.
But why did he even seek something like that? Was there a reason for him to truly seek something like that? Well, maybe yes. Truth be told, Nasu always had it up in his mind, thoughts that felt more like intoxicating clouds, they were filled with the sorrow of the past and the frustration of his weakness, of the things he could not achieve not because he tried and failed but because he could not try at all.
He was too young. Whether he was a strong Saiyan or not there was no use if you were a kid that knew nothing about fighting, there was nothing if you could not help yourself; how could you even think that helping someone else was an option? As simple as that, there was no way for him to express just the way he felt or how he wished to feel rather. Part of him made him feel like it was fair and just that he was to suffer such penitence, because it was something that was just… him, something that was entirely and fully Nasu. A piece of his being, and thus if it was so, was it not fair that he still carried the pain and the failure of something he could not even attempt?
No. Probably not, but… it was just so much easier having someone to blame. Even if that someone was yourself
The moment Nasu actually attempted to approach Ayu, it did not go so well. Nasu, too, found himself a little baffled when the creature’s first instinct was to hide a tree as if he would not realize that she was hiding a few feet away from when she had just spotted her. Not to mention the fact alone that he did not remember the presence of a tree just next to her. How did it actually get there? Could it have been some other bizarre event? Of course Nasu did not know which steps to take after that or what he was supposed to do was not as clear as he would have liked, for example, she was obviously shy so he did not believe he could force a conversation that easily.
But apparently this stranger was actually benevolent and even apologized to Nasu. He did not know what she was but given the place and time, and the fact that she looked like one with nature itself by looks and outfit alone, honestly she almost looked like an apparition. A spirit of sorts, of course the man did not actually believe that she was alive just like he was. Hopefully. He did not really want to disappear in a pseudo jungle of all places, like old legends used to say about remote places where old and sad ghosts ventured in hopes to find a mortal to torment.
“Why apologize? It looks like I should be the one to do so. I was not really going to startle you if I could, but I figured not everyday a stranger with a huge sword just walks around a place like this.”
The man spoke while he held his head a little tilted to spy a glance from the individual that had hidden herself behind the trees, or Ayu as she called herself. To think he would meet someone with a name shorter than his own, truly a surprise this life was, just every day he would get to discover something new.
“It did look like you had a lot on your mind. I know the feeling. Sometimes you are just on about your life, and something reminds you of certain memories or feelings, and it is the worst. You could be about your life, and yet the past is still there, pulling you away from the reality that maybe… you should just think of where you are, here and now.”
Nasu was honestly somewhat surprised he could even think of a speech that long, and yet he also felt somewhat of a hypocrite given he suffered the same conditions and could not do any better, but well, maybe he did not have to feel so, after all he did not mean to scold her. Perhaps… he only wished to express his own thoughts for once, given there was never anyone around him to hear him.
“Wait, seriously?”
She did somehow just move the flowers out of nowhere while he was walking, and he looked at her with no lack of surprise in his features, he never met anyone with that kind of ability. But he figured there were many magic users of all kinds, if that was even magic, honestly. Ayu looked more like nature itself, so maybe it was something else to begin with, however Nasu did not really have any preference. Maybe the jungle made the whole place better, actually.
“It was kind of plain before. I was kind of excited to see what I would find here, maybe a treasure or something like that. I do not think you have troubled anyone, really. If anything I should thank you, you gave me something to look forward to this morning, and even if there is nothing like that here, in the end meeting new people is better than just wandering around.”
The man stopped briefly once he had approached the individual at a comforting distance, his eyes yet sought to find the end of this jungle by height alone before he looked back towards Ayu.
“So, this is your gimmick… but I am curious. Can you only control nature around you or also create it from nowhere, too? It is the first time I have seen something like this.”

One could say that seeing a tall stranger with a giant sword would be a good reason to get startled but Ayu wasn't quick to judge others this way. It didn't really matter what Nasu carried or what posture he presented - it was simply the fact that he was a stranger that made her jump - and true, she was lost in her thoughts too... But meeting new people always filled her with this sense of uneasiness that wasn't so eager to go away.
"N-No, it's okay..." Ayu mumbled a bit when she realized that Nasu meant no harm at all, and her behavior might have been too much. He seemed careful and calm, and she started to feel bad that her initial reaction was to jump and create a twenty-foot tree. "I-I'm just skittish at times," Ayu explained, embarrassed, her cheeks flushing with familiar dark pink color. Again... She tried to look away, at the grass on the side, but her face betrayed her enough already. Hopefully, it wasn't an issue like that because Saiyan mentioned how she seemed to have a lot on her mind. Yeah. On her mind. On her heart and soul, thoughts dug inside her and tried to increase the guilt she felt.
Ayu nodded unconsciously. That thought was quite melancholic... But it wasn't a lie in any way. There were so many things pulling her back, making her look and reflect on what has happened. Maybe Nasu talked about his own experiences? Maybe their past deeds were anchors or maybe their nature was closer to guiding lights. She couldn't tell but something told her that it wasn't easy to turn her back on the past. Not unless she'd dig through everything and learn so she could understand what she never listened to before. In no way was she perfect or flawless and it hurt to know that her mistakes had such an impact... Ayu had to gain as much as possible from all of it, no matter how painful it might be. She needed to grow. Only then she would be able to focus on here and now... Because if she won't make peace with what was it was going to haunt her in her dreams again. And if the future held something like that for her - she needed to learn to be prepared - otherwise, tragedies would only repeat with time.
But that couldn't be done so easily as to happen overnight or in a matter of a week, no. She knew she needed time - but could she afford to have it?
"I don't think there be any treasures here... B-But maybe? I haven't been here since this place was created..." The surprise in his voice caught her off guard again but there was no hostility behind it. And then Ayu blushed heavily, looking down at her fidgeting hands because her cheeks burned quite a bit and she couldn't look at Nasu anymore. One thing was coming to terms with a past deed that now was thriving on its own, the other was hearing that this jungle has brightened someone's day. It was simply so unexpected that Ayu didn't know what to say let alone react. Maybe it was good that he changed the subject so quickly. Then her flustrated mood faded away as Nasu asked about her powers, pointing out the difference between controlling the flora and creating it. She nodded carefully.
"O-Oh, to be precise... At first, I could control-" Ayu started talking eagerly but stopped for a second and visibly hesitated. She rubbed her blushed cheek a little. "I d-don't really like this word. Control. It's more like I ask the plants to do something and they follow my request." While saying that, she raised her hand so the branch above her lowered, and young foliage opened into green, wide leaves. Her thumb stroked them softly, with visible affection. "At times I don't have to say anything. They are reacting to my presence or my mental state but still use my energy, like this tree here, I-I..." She gave him a shy smile, with that admitting that she got a little scared and helplessly needed a hideout. "I d-didn't even notice when it appeared. I h-have a habit of hiding when I get startled, so that's w-why..." that should be enough of the explanation. Ayu wasn't sure if she could tell more without getting too flustered. She didn't make the tree grow out of spite or to surprise Nasu, she just still wasn't good at talking to strangers. Maybe better than before but her social interactions were far from perfect anyway... "Now, I can bend the flora. I can make it grow, or return to saplings. I can make them bigger or smaller, or even sharp as a sword though that's not exactly natural so I'd rather not do so..." With tilted head, Ayu stroked her chin, her tone turning pensive while her face was slowly losing the dark pink hue of blush.
Once she started pondering about the nature of her abilities, talking out loud and conveying her thoughts to Nasu, her initial anxiety wasn't so visible. Her train of thoughts focused on something other than being abashed and it was easier for more casual conversation, even if he still was a stranger to her. A stranger with a giant sword on his back, as he mentioned so himself.
"After some time I learned to create plants out of my... Ki? Magic? E-Energy, out of my own energy." Joining her hands together Ayu opened them to show the morning glory tangled around her palms, flowers opening their blossoms and leaves getting greener. Indeed her energy created a living piece of flora, with every organelle intact and working as it should. After all, wasn't Ki a signature of life? If it could create blasts or bombs couldn't it be shaped into another organic matter? That's where her magic came to play, helping her to weave this part of greenery... That's how her power came to be. Ayu closed her hands again and the plant's tendrils gently curled and disappeared. "I can make any type of plant I am familiar with. Even a part of them too, like leaves, roots, or seeds." She counted and after a moment Ayu's gaze softened, hinting at melancholy taking over. Or she could make fruits, yes. An apple was the very first thing she created with her energy - before Ayu could only influence the plants that were already in the area. She learned how to make them using her energy... A bit out of blue. As if her crystalized Ki decided to not make a blast or laser but a crisp fruit with shining red skin instead. That was... A bittersweet memory.
"I'm not sure if I-I know everything about it, but I'm trying to learn..." Ayu admitted softly, her hands were full of fruits now. Two apples, a banana, some berries, and a bunch of grapes. She looked at all that and smiled a little, closing her eyes for a second of reflection. "But this power comes in handy when I'm hungry and away from home," allowing herself for a shy chuckle, Ayu raised her hands in Nasu's direction, without words telling him to help himself. After all, it would be a shame if the food would go to waste and she wasn't the one that would carelessly treat leftovers like trash. She missed her garden... "They are safe to eat, I swear," she reassured him, for a change sounding more confident than she did before today and sending him a gentle smile.

Of course he could not tell whether she was actually that shy with strangers or not to begin with on his own, he had never met her and neither did he happen to hear about her from anyone else. He did not really know a lot of people, this Nasu guy, however he could tell that she was harmless and probably polite too. He was no psychologist or some guy with enough brainpower to really read people like that, but there were ways that animals interacted that gave away simple facts and none of his instincts alerted him to be wary of this Ayu person.
Either that or she was a ghost just waiting for his defenses to go down so she could absorb his soul or something like that. However that thought had merely become an amusement for his brain to giggle over, not so much an actual chance, therefore he simply eyed the stranger with a friendly albeit tired smile.
“I know. I can be a little distrustful sometimes. Depends on whom I am dealing with, of course. Place and time also matter.”
Pretty much because she had also been fidgeting and blushing a lot, there was of course no way Nasu would think a person could be that good at faking their emotions overwhelming themselves without any kind of… anything that could give them away. So, she was genuine, in his eyes.
“Ah, too bad. Not that I had come here for that reason. I… just like exploring, and well. There is more to that, but it would be too boring to explain. Self discovery journey and all that stuff. In any case, they say sometimes meeting people alone is a treasure, or something like that, right?”
Nasu blinked a bit when Ayu had a very powerful reaction, at some point, he was very confused; was she really that much of a shy person? Given he did not want to give a hard time just to exchange a few words, he figured he would absolutely make it easier for her and thus just allowed her free rule on the conversation when it came to her powers. And so when the branch came down and basically bloomed, he was quite interested and he gazed upon the leaves very carefully, almost as if he was studying them.
“Cool…”
The man had seen magic before, so of course he was not completely blasted away from this but there was a key difference in the fact that he could not just so simply use it, and therefore he found it cool in any way shape or form. This one was quite a simple demonstration but he found it interesting nevertheless, almost astonishing if he could use any better word for this. At least when she described even further the conditions through which these abilities manifested, apparently even just a mental state or feeling could trigger things… which meant that not necessarily all things happened from her own sheer will. Of course he found this to be interesting, but also kind of scary.
Emotions were not so easy to control and often went against what a person would normally do, especially when they were powerful such as anger or something like that… so of course Nasu found that to be kind of terrific. What if she got angry and suddenly all of the trees here would snap against him?
“So it is more like you are connected to nature, rather than actually manipulating them. You can do that, too, but you do not have to, to display your abilities. You could say perhaps they can work together with your instincts. Maybe that is best, you may not even need to think to shield yourself in a fight or anything such.”
It was pretty simple why he believed this was probably better, because again you did not need to think about your next move. So you could pretty much just keep fighting and nature itself would aid you, that was pretty much an advantage in a fight, but of course the man nearly forgot something: he did not know who this person was and perhaps it was somewhat patronizing thinking that they would be a fighter, and thus he immediately apologized.
“O-of course if you actually end up in one. I do not know if you happen to fight. I guess it just came out without me thinking, often most people I meet with weird abilities also happen to do battle.”
And then Ayu showed her hands to Nasu and demonstrated just how much greenery she could make, which prompted several other questions within the man but he also did not want to outright overwhelm her with them. But one in particular was entirely important for the Saiyan, one that was perhaps the most curious and interesting of them all.
“What about… new ones? Can you make plants that do not exist?”
Perhaps it would be foolish of him to ask such a thing, it would almost be as if he asked if she withheld the same powers as a God, of course he had no idea about conjury and what things people could make with it. In one way, perhaps it was not so grand a power, but he could not know it as ignorant as he was on the topic. But then what was more was that his newfound friend had suddenly made a basket of fruit that he held upon her hands, which led him to stare in great interest indeed.
“Uh. I have not had breakfast yet, so if that is fine…”
And thus the Saiyan showed his own species’ appetite, first he grabbed the banana and literally tossed it and without peeling it he tore it apart in his mouth before he proceeded to entirely consume the apple and grapes as well with the very same ferocity, of course while he did so, he kept his mouth shut to be polite enough not to disturb her while he was eating and eventually he gulped it all down and sighed in relief.
“That was very good. Thank you! Can I help you out somehow? I feel like I should repay you for such good fruit.”
